Eveline M. Strysak, 71, of Chatham Township, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 27, 2006, at Lodi Community Hospital.
She was born April 3, 1935, in Berlin to Martin Wilhelm and Elsa Marie Sander Brandes and came to the United States in the mid-1960s. She resided in Cleveland before moving to Chatham in 1978. She was an employee of the former Par Industries in Medina.
Mrs. Strysak is survived by her husband, Kurt; daughter, Missy (David) Slayton of Burbank; son, Yilmas of Chatham; and grandchildren, David and Michael Slayton.
There will be no services.

Helen T. Chapman, 84, of Akron, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006, in Barberton.
She was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Akron.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Karen (Michael) Carlson of Medina; daughter, Bonnie Chapman of Handoverton, Ohio; grandson, James DeHart of Homerville; sisters, Sue and Wanda, both of Akron; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Buzik, James DeHart and Edward Chapman; daughters, JoAnn Irving; son, James DeHart; stepdaughter, Shirley Hofer; granddaughter, Darla Hofer; and brothers, Chet and John.
Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 S. Weymouth Road, Medina Township. Father Stephen Dohner will officiate.
Burial: Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
Visiting hours: 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3477 Medina Road (corner of state Route 18 and River Styx Road), Medina, and one hour prior to the Mass on Monday at the church.
Ralph D. Fair
Ralph D. Fair, 99, formerly of Seville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, in Wadsworth.
He was born in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, to Ezra and Clara (nee Wintrow) Fair and was a Medina County resident for 40 years. He was a 75-year member of Seville Masonic Lodge 74. Mr. Fair was an agent for B&O Railroad, working out of the old depot in Seville. He was a Ham radio operator, call name WA8SJM. He repaired watches and clocks, and pitched horseshoes, rode his motorcycle into his 90s, and played cards and pool.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou (James) Eby of Seville; grandsons, David, Gregory (Cindy), Brian and Christopher Eby; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1970; sisters, Blanche Saal, Marie McMaken, and Betty Buckingham; and brothers, Roy, Nate, Charles, Earl and Paul.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Armstrong-Waite Funeral Home, 25 Pleasant St. (state Route 3), Seville.
Burial: Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Guilford Town-ship.
Visiting hours: 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Alphonse Jablonowski, 85, has pas-sed away.
Mr. Jablonowski was a member of Brookside Council K of C 3297. He was a World War II veteran.
He was the beloved husband of Alberta (nee Roll); devoted father of Donald (Rita), Nancy (Don) Lee, Robert (Bonnie), Larry (Christine) and Shirley (Tim) Shaver; grandfather of 16; great-grandfather of 11; and brother of Lottie Foote and Ted.
He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Kathleen.
Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4170 N. Amber Drive, Brooklyn.
Interment: Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.

Margaret Thompson
Margaret Thompson, 84, of Medina, passed away Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at Hospice at The Inn at Medina.
She was born June 22, 1922, in China to missionary parents. She taught piano to countless children throughout her 40-year career as a piano teacher in Medina.
She is survived by her husband, David Thompson; sister, Carol Kummert of Washington; brothers, James Tewksbury of Maryland and the Rev. George Tewksbury of Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Gardner and Ruth Tewksbury, and sister, Betty Spitzkeit.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Medina United Methodist Church, 260 S. Court St.

Leon G. Barcikoski
Leon G. "Leo" Barcikoski, 97, passed away Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Burton Health Care Center.
He was born Aug. 26, 1909, in Cleveland. Mr. Barcikoski was a member of the Holy Name Society and was a parish council member. He was a proud dairy farmer for 50 years.
Mr. Barcikoski is survived by his son, Leonard (Joanne); grandsons, Lenny Michael (Jennelyn) and Danny Andrew (Katherine); and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Veronice (nee Scislowski) Barcikoski; wife, Elizabeth "Betty"; daughter, Elizaveth; brothers, Anthony, Ben, Mike and Allie; and sister, Emily.
Services and visiting hours have been held.

Mary E. Kuzawa, 80, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at her residence.
She was born June 14, 1926, in Lakewood. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Don) Cunat, Theresa Kuzawa and Ann Kuzawa; sons, Lawrence Kuzawa, Stanley Kuzawa, James (Jill) Kuzawa and Gerard Kuzawa; sisters, Margaret Kern and Betty Jonik; and many loving grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Kuzawa; parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Dancak; brother, John; and sisters, Anne and Helen.
Mass of Christian Burial: 9 a.m. today at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick.

Leo W. Leslie, 90, has passed away.
He received the Silver Beaver Award in Scouting.
Mr. Leslie was the beloved husband of Mary C. (nee Flanigan); loving father of Jerome (Ruth), Talbot (Donna), Mary Lee (Richard) Heilman and James (Jane); dear grandfather of David, Nikki, Jeffrey, Keith, Kellie, Christy, Katie, Jessica and Jenny; and great-grandfather of 10.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude (nee Boncha).
Prayer service: 9 a.m. Thursday at Mallchok Funeral Home, 5660 Ridge Road, Parma, with funeral Mass at 9:30 at St. Frances De Sales Catholic Church, 3421 Snow Road.
