Wilbert Rismiller
Wilbert "A.H." Rismiller, 85, died at 11:45 a.m. March 24, 2001 at his residence at 6782 North Star-Fort Loramie Road, Rossburg.
He was born Nov. 26, 1915, in North Star, to Paul and Louise (Peters) Rismiller. On Aug. 15, 1943, he married Gladys Pitsenbarger, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Kathryn and Thomas Vance, Port Clinton, and Paulette and Maurice Bruening, St. Henry; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was a farmer and was employed at Lambert Corporation in Ansonia. He was a member of and served on the council of St. Paul Lutheran Church, North Star.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Laura Shreffler officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Pauline Schaub
Pauline M. Schaub, 95, 15437 Botkins Road, Botkins, died at 10:55 a.m. March 25, 2001 at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1906, in Rhine, to Herman and Catherine (Wempe) Greve. On June 24, 1930, she married Leo J. Schaub, who died Dec. 21, 1983.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Luanna and Fred Kohler, Botkins; a twin sister, Amanda Schaub, Wapakoneta; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three sisters, Martha Yahl, Clara Loschert and Alvina Schaub, three brothers, John, Linus and Ferdinand Greve, and a grandson.
She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, Rhine.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. James F. Trick officiating. Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
Esther Slattery
Esther Slattery, 70, 442 S. Walnut St., New Bremen, died March 22, 2001 in Naples, Fla.
She was born April 5, 1930, in New Bremen, to Ralph and Marie (Finkenbine) Fogt. On July 10, 1953, she married Calvin L. Slattery, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Kay and David Shapiro, Cullowhee, N.C., and Kim and Dave Doughtery, Cincinnati; a sister and her husband, Shirley and Richard Black, New Bremen; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Imogene and Frank Mox, Delphos, and Dana and Betty Slattery, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters-in-law, Althea Ruedebusch and Margaret Slattery, both of Wapakoneta, and Geraldine Metzger, New Knoxville; and four grandchildren.
She had worked at Schwieterman's Drug Store in New Bremen, and was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen.
Services are 2 p.m. today at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.

Fred Snyder
Fred D. Snyder, 57, 419 Oliver St., St. Marys, died of natural causes at 4:09 a.m. March 24, 2001, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Nov. 26, 1943, in Lima, to Alfred and Margaret (Rupert) Snyder. On April 13, 1963, he married Ruth Merriman, who survives in St. Marys. They were later divorced.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Scott and Claudette of St. Marys; two sons, Brad of Sidney, and T.J. of St. Marys; a daughter and her husband, Nan and Duane Dickrede, Delphos; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are his parents and a sister, Janie Kent.
He was retired from Parker-Hannifan Corp., St. Marys, and performed as a drummer in a number of bands, including The Countrymen and the Dependables. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys, and North American Hunting Association. He was a 1962 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Schultz officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Delphos, or St. Rita's Hospital Cancer Unit.
Mary Zumbrink
Mary M. Zumbrink, 91, 13076 Elijah-York Road, Rossburg, died at 10:40 p.m. March 25, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Feb. 14, 1910, in Darke County, to Warren and Margaret (Young) McClurg. On Sept. 1, 1937, she married August Zumbrink, who died Sept. 19, 1994.
Survivors are a son and his wife, James and Diana of Rossburg; a son, John of Rossburg; a sister and her husband, Aileen and Dwight Sebring, Greenville; a sister, Grace Sebring, Greenville; three sisters-in-law, Lucille McClurg, Marlene McClurg, and Katherine McClurg, all of Versailles; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers and three sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, Darke County Democratic Women, and Darke County Farmers Union.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. James Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, and 9-10:15 a.m. Thursday at the church.
J. Delmar Keysor
J. Delmar Keysor, 86, 17674 Moulton-Ft. Amanda Road, Wapakoneta, died at 5:22 p.m. March 26, 2001 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Oct. 6, 1914, in Shelby County, to John Wesley and Emma Jane (Jones) Keysor. On Aug. 21, 1937, he married Frances C. Miller, who survives.
Other survivors are five daughters and their husbands, Betty and Keith Ferrand, Cromwell, Ind., Eileen and Wayne Schultz, Wapakoneta, Susan and Charles Meier, Becky and Matt Maxson and Laura and Mark Greenbaum, all of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Cathy Link, St. Marys; a son, Ted of Spencerville; three sisters, Levon Morris and Bernice McDermitt, both of Wapakoneta and Mary Jane Roode, New Knoxville; two brothers, Virgil "Jack" of St. Marys, and Irvin of Buckland; 26 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Donna Holtzapple, two brothers, Nelson and Richard, three sisters, Viola Webb, Doris Fisher and Velma Lindemuth, and four grandchildren.
He was a farmer and was an agent for National Farmers Union Insurance Co. He played semi-professional baseball in Sidney, and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Glynwood. He was a 1932 graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Oscar Seger officiating. Burial is at St. Thomas Cemetery in Glynwood.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Contributions can be made to the dialysis unit at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
Brittany Knapke
Brittany Knapke, daughter of Keith and Julie (Weitzel) Knapke, 14741 Snyder Road, New Weston, was stillborn March 27, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
Other survivors include a sister, Kayla; grandparents, Don and Cathy Knapke, and Norb and Betty Weitzel, all of Fort Recovery; and great-grandmothers, Helen Jacobs, Coldwater, Leona Knapke, St. Henry, Alberta Weitzel, Fort Recovery, and Viola Kemper, New Bremen.
Deceased is a twin sister, Brenda.
Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Cemetery in Sharpsburg, the Rev. Matt Jozefiak officiating.
