Earl Woehrmyer
Earl J. Woehrmyer, 82, 711 Oakwood Drive, Minster, died at 10 a.m. March 2, 2002, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster. He had been a patient there one week.
He was born Jan. 21, 1920, in Minster, to Julius and Nora (Ritter) Woehrmyer. On Sept. 25, 1943, he married Phyllis M. Vogelsang and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter and her husband, Mary and Gary Oldiges, and a daughter, Ann Ranly, all of Minster; a sister and her husband, Norma and Ted Purpus, and a sister, Vera Dorsten, all of Minster; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Deborah, a brother and a grandchild.
He retired as a self-employed distributor for Meadow Gold Milk and Borden Foods. He also worked at Wagner's IGA in Minster and as a monument dealer for Delphos Granite for many years. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, all of Minster, the Auglaize County Board of Elections and the Republican Central Committee. He was past president of the Minster Civic Association and a past member of the church choir, Crescent Players and the Minster Athletic Club.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogen-kamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Rosie Temple Fleming
Rosie Temple Fleming, 83, 119 Wild Cherry St., Celina, died at 10:45 a.m. March 2, 2002, at her residence. She had been ill with a heart condition the past two years.
She was born June 29, 1918, in Glynwood, to Fred and Myrtle (Ranga) McDermitt. On Nov. 11, 1967, she married James C. Fleming and he died July 1, 1989.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Jack and Linda Temple, Wapakoneta, Jerry and Connie Temple, Celina, and Terry and Donna Temple, Montezuma, and two sons, Gary Temple, St. Marys, and Richard Temple, Celina; a daughter, Shirley Cornwell, St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Linda Temple, St. Marys; a sister, Hazel Wietholter, Celina; 25 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Lincoln Temple and Robert Temple Jr.; a daughter, Sharon Temple; three brothers, Bud, Kenneth and Don McDermitt; and a sister, Eva Nertzelt.
A graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys, she retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after more than 30 years of service.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Joy L. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Lloyd Groff
Lloyd A. Groff, 81, 41 W. Chestnut St., Burkettsville, died at 4:30 p.m. March 5, 2002, at the Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born May 6, 1920, in Darke County, to Emanuel and Ellen (Mangen) Groff. On May 4, 1946, he married Mary "Sally" Heinrichs and she survives.
Also surviving are three brothers and their wives, Francis and Marie of North Star, Richard and Viola and Joseph and Dolores, all of Kettering; five sisters and their husbands, Dorothy and Ray Hemmelgarn, New Weston, Marcella and Bob Hare, Troy, Florine and Francis Schmitz, Miamisburg, Virginia and Bill May, West Carrollton, and Helen and Jim Russ, Somerdale, N.J.; and two sisters-in-law, Yvette Groff, Greenville, and Joan Groff, Rossburg.
Deceased are two brothers, Paul and Valery; a sister, Mary Barga; and a brother-in-law, Wilfred Barga.
He retired as a model maker from Frigidaire in Dayton. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Men's Society of the church, Burkettsville.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
Daniel Steinlage
Daniel Steinlage, 47, of Centerville, a former St. Henry resident, died March 5, 2002, at his residence. Death was due to complications following surgery.
He was born Aug. 16, 1954, in Coldwater, to Joseph and Hilda (Pleiman) Steinlage. They survive in St. Henry. On July 23, 1994, he married Sheryl Spicer and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Matthew, and a daughter, Kelly, both of Columbus; two stepsons, Adam Spicer, Dayton, and Joseph Spicer, Fairborn; a stepdaughter and her husband, Sarah and Lee Tucker, Kettering; three brothers and their wives, Ralph and Mary of Kettering, Lester and MarJean of Englewood, and Dale and Joan of New Carlisle, and a brother, Roger of Dayton; six sisters and their husbands, Eileen and Bill Huber, Doris and Ron Rindler and Karen and Roger Ranly, all of St. Henry, Bernice and Ken Koesters and Verna and Dan Ahlers, all of Coldwater, and Betty and Vince Chase, Springfield; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Lorna Duffrin, Fairborn; and three stepgrandchildren.
He was employed as a supervisor for Ryan Homes in the Dayton area. He was a member of The Church of the Incarnation in Centerville and the Dayton Homebuilders Association.
Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.

Patricia Dingledine
Patricia A. Dingledine, 72, 11190 Schroeder Road #25, St. Marys, died at 8:27 a.m. March 6 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Oct. 4, 1929, in Sidney, to Cletus and Esther (Manor) Zumbroegel. On June 19, 1948, she married Thomas Dingledine and he survives.
Also surviving are three sons and their wives, David and Sandy of St. Marys, Michael and Jane of Coldwater, and Paul and Mindy of Celina, and a son, Gary of St. Marys; a daughter and her husband, Mary and Mark Cook, Springboro; three sisters and their husbands, Barbara and Dave Lutz, St. Marys, Shirley and Tony Oldiges, Minster, and Nancy and Leon Romaine, West Virginia; a sister-in-law, Barb Zumbroegel, St. Marys; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant son, Jay, and a brother, Don Zumbroegel.
She was a homemaker, a 1947 graduate of Minster High School and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Heinl officiating. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Robert Joyce
Robert W. Joyce, 47, 606 Lincoln St., Pulaski, Tenn., formerly of New Bremen, died March 2 at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born June 3, 1954, in St. Marys, to Harry and Laverta (Roettger) Joyce. His mother survives in Sidney.
Also surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth of Dublin and Susan of Seymour, Tenn.; a brother and his wife, Gary and Kay of Anna; a sister and her husband, Debbie and Dave Wilson, Mount Sterling, Ky., and two sisters, Teresa and Denise Joyce, both of Sidney; and two grandsons.
He served in the U.S. Navy following graduation from New Bremen High School in 1973. He later attended Wright State University, receiving a bachelor of science degree in business in 1985, and Indiana Wesleyan University, receiving a master of science degree in 1990. He was an accountant with Johnson Controls in Pulaski and also taught online classes in Business Finance for Smart Thinking through the University of Phoenix.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. The body will be cremated following services.
Calling is after noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Ernest Uhlenhake
Ernest J. Uhlenhake, 70, 3631 Burkettsville-St. Henry Road, Coldwater, died at 9:45 p.m. March 5 at Dayton Heart Hospital. Death was due to complications following a heart attack.
He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Philothea, to Henry and Hilda (Nieberding) Uhlenhake. On April 28, 1956, he married Marilyn Meier and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons and their wives, Richard and Beverly, Marvin and Patty and Gary and Barb, all of Coldwater; a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Brad Schwieterman, St. Sebastian; and 16 grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Linda; a brother and three sisters.
A retired farmer, auctioneer and real estate agent, he founded Coldwater Auction Service. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society, both of Philothea, and Knights of Columbus Council 1991, American Legion Post 470 and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5135, all of Coldwater. He also was a member of the Ohio and Indiana Auctioneers Association.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Revs. Louis Barga and Larry Hemmelgarn officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with the Legion and VFW conducting military rites.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
