Rose Bihn
Rose C. Bihn, 88, 859 Meiring Road, Fort Recovery, died at 6:05 p.m. March 11, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born April 29, 1914, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Frank and Lucy Gardner Lauber. On July 15, 1944, she married George Bihn who survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Carl (Julia) Lauber, and a sister, Agnes Clouser, both of Indianapolis; and several nephews and nieces.
A brother, Leo, and two sisters, Mary Murphy and Beatrice Schmitt, are deceased.
She formerly worked as a telephone operator in Indianapolis. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality, both of Sharpsburg.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. A prayer service will be held there at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
Jeanne Card
L. Jeanne Card, 73, 11124 Circle Drive, St. Marys, died March 10, 2003, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born Aug. 4, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Harold and Lola Humphry Kellmer. On June 21, 1949, she married the Rev. Robert R. Card, who died March 21, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel of Woodbridge, Va., and Paul of Pomeroy; four daughters, Ruth (Don) Ramsey, St. Marys, Susanna (Michael) Heck, Pomeroy, Rebecca (Jack) Hatfield, Cosby, Tenn., and Elizabeth (Ron) Miller, Knoxville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A son and a grandson are deceased.
A graduate of Ambridge High School in Ambridge, Pa., she attended Baldwin-Wallace College. She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill McOmber and David Woodyard officiating. Burial will be at Spencerville Cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Barbara Crouch
Celina native Barbara L. Crouch, 70, 310 North St., Van Wert, died at 2:21 a.m. March 11, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born May 26, 1932, in Celina, to Burton and Enid L. Baldwin Mace Stemen. On March 21, 1959, she married Carl H. Crouch who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jane (Ralph Jr.) Kreischer, Van Wert; a stepsister, Ann (James) McCray, Van Wert; three grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A sister and a stepbrother are deceased.
A homemaker, she attended First Friends Church, Van Wert.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Revs. Gene Moser and Job Stagner officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point.
Calling is 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Linus Miller
Burkettsville native Linus W. Miller, 85, of Kettering, died at 12:25 a.m. March 10, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Center Hospice in Dayton.
He was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Burkettsville, to Anton and Elizabeth Borgerding Miller. On June 28, 1938, he married Bernadine Henry who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Paul, David and Thomas, and two daughters, Bonnie and Mary Miller Ellis, all of Dayton; a brother, Alphonse of Minster; four sisters , Philomena Mueller, Minster, Leona Bertke, St. Joe, Anna Sudhoff, Coldwater, and Donna Vehorn, Botkins; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two daughters, Ellen and Joan.
He had worked as a salesman for Frigidaire and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the American Legion, both of North Star, and the Knights of Columbus, Dayton.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Revs. David Zink and Louis Barga officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery with military services by the American Legion.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, and 9-10:15 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Philip Skapura
Philip A. Skapura, 66, 06603 Southland Road, New Knoxville, died at 10 p.m. March 5, 2003, at his son's home in Findlay following an extended illness.
He was born Feb. 3, 1937, in Wooster, to Andrew and Catherine Cliffe Skapura. On Sept. 5, 1959, he married Annely Wierwille who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Christopher (Sandy) of Richmond, Ky., and David (Michelle) of Findlay; a daughter, Cynthia (Ron) Ignatuk, Tustin Ranch, Calif.; his mother-in-law, Rhoda Wierwille, New Knoxville; a brother-in-law, Bob Ed Wierwille, New Knoxville; and eight grandchildren.
He was a 1955 graduate of New Knoxville High School and a graduate of the University of Kentucky. He had been a teacher for many years in Botkins, Minster and Waynesfield, and retired from the Way International Biblical Research Center in New Knoxville, where he had worked in the computer services department for more than 20 years. He was in fellowship with the Way International.
Services are 2 p.m. April 26 at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Dave Patterson officiating. Burial will be at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.

Tom Anderson
Former Celina resident Tom Anderson, 63, 407 Witmarsun, West Drive, North Newton, Kan., died March 6, 2003, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan. Death was due to injuries he sustained a day earlier when he fell on his ice-covered driveway.
He was born Feb. 17, 1940, in Benton, Ill., to Thomas and Lucille V. Schmoellen Anderson. On Nov. 5, 1960, he married Bev Mead who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Lori (Dale) Montgomery, Knoxville, Tenn., and Wendi (Robert) Rague, Urbandale, Iowa; a brother-in-law, Jerry (Judy) Mead, Charles City, Iowa; parents-in-law, Harold and Mid Mead, Charles City; and two grandchildren.
Deceased is an infant brother, and a sister, Peggy Lockey.
He retired March 3 as manufacturing manager at AGCO Corp., North Newton. He worked at the former AGCO plant in Coldwater from 1993-2000, then at the company's Independence, Mo., plant before transferring to the North Newton facility. He began working in the manufacturing industry for Oliver Corp. of Charles City in 1958. He was a member of Congregational Church and the YMCA, Elk's Lodge, Lions Club International, all of Charles City.
A memorial service will be held June 7 in Charles City. Burial was at Charles City Cemetery.
Contributions can be made to the YMCA or specified for a bronze sculpture to be built and placed along the river where he fished.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Petersen Funeral Home, Charles City.
Herbert Diffenbaugh
Herbert Doner Diffenbaugh, 91, of Farmington Hills, Mich., died at 11 p.m. March 9, 2003, at Colonial Nursing Center, Rockford.
He was born Sept. 30, 1911, in Prairie City, Ill., to the Rev. Edward E. and Laura Pearl Gleason Diffenbaugh. On May 9, 1939, he married Shirley Irene Shadewald Jones who died Dec. 1, 1992.
Surviving are a son, Jay Lavin Diffenbaugh, Troy, Mich.; a daughter, Sherry J. (Steven W.) Roebuck, Rockford; and three granddaughters.
A brother, Dr. Willis, and a sister, Helen, are deceased.
He retired in 1976 from American Standard Industrial Products Division, Dearborn, Mich., where he had worked in the marketing department in various managerial posts, and later worked on special projects for the company until 1980. He was a 1932 graduate of the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Private services will be held at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Jim Keiser officiating. Burial will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery, Union Township.
