Jeffrey Hay
Celina native Jeffrey Allen Hay, 46, of Lexington, Ky., died of natural causes April 9, 2001 in Kentucky.
He was born in Celina to Robert and Patricia (Heckler) Hay, both whom survive in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. He was married to Linda Homan, who survives.
Other survivors are three daughters, Kristy, Katie and Carrie, all of Lexington; a sister, Cathy Hay Collier, Akron; and a brother, Michael of Celina.
He was a civil engineer for FMSM Civil Engineering and was a member of Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Lexington, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Robert Nieberding officiating. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland, Lexington, Ky., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Mary Johnsman
Mary Pauline Johnsman, 79, 106 Woodview Drive, Coldwater, died at 5:10 a.m. today [Apr. 10, 2001] at Briarwood Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born April 28, 1921, in Italy, to Nicola and Anna Marie (Castaldo) Cipollone. She was married to Lawrence Johnsman, who died in 1993.
Survivors are three sons and their wives, Nick and Deb of Celina, Steve and Joyce of Coldwater, and Andy and Deb of St. Marys; a daughter and her husband, Donna and Ron Heitkamp, Coldwater; a brother, Anthony Joseph Cipollone, Celina; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Sister Rose Bell.
She was a nurses' aide at Community Hospital, Coldwater, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
A vigil service of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Anna Gossard
Anna L. Gossard, 82, died at 10:05 a.m. April 10, 2001 at her residence at 626 W. South St., St. Marys.
She was born Jan. 23, 1919, in St. Marys, to Vernon W. and Carolyn M. (Stroh) Schultz. In October 1937, she married Cleve "Nick" Gossard, who died Dec. 21, 1981.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Barry and Sally, and David and Kathleen, all of St. Marys; a son, Bruce A. of California; a daughter, Susan E. of St. Marys; and a sister and her husband, Carolyn and Dr. Thomas Hudson, St. Marys.
Deceased are a sister, Evelyn Schultz, and a brother, Howard W. Schultz.
She was a homemaker and a member of and served as the church women's secretary/treasurer at Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys. She was a 1936 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Joachim K. Wilck officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Orville Poeppelman
Orville B. Poeppelman, 73, died at 4:34 a.m. April 10, 2001 at his residence at 11675 Meranda Road, Anna.
He was born May 23, 1927, in McCartyville, to August and Mary Ann (Lemkuhl) Poeppelman. On May 17, 1958, he married Dorothy Mae Johnson, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Fred and Cindy, and Ted and Michelle, all of Anna; three daughters and their husbands, Martha and Michael Bensman, Sidney, Phyllis and David Stoll II, Wapakoneta, and Treva and Daniel Wuebker, Anna; two brothers and their wives, Wilbur and Virginia, Botkins, and Donald and Verona of Anna; a brother, Clarence of Sidney; a sister and her husband, Alma and Raymond Heilers, Anna; two sisters, Helen Koverman Hoying, Minster, and Veronica Flaute, Dayton; and 12 grandchildren.

He was a farmer and was a former employee of Monarch Machine Tool in Sidney. He was a current Franklin Township Trustee and served as past grand knight at Knight of Columbus, McCartyville. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and its Mens Sodality, McCartyville, Sacred Heart cemetery committee and attended Minster High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Dana Welker
Former Van Wert resident Dana L. Welker, 42, died suddenly April 6, 2001 at his residence in Channelview, Texas.
He was born April 14, 1958, in Van Wert, to Stanley and Shirley (Humerickhouse) Welker. His mother and stepfather, Joe Kemper, survive in Maria Stein. His stepmother Susan Welker survives in Van Wert. He was married to Thelma Eubanks, who survives at the home.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Jeremy and Dana of Delphos; a brother and his wife, Dallas and Kris of Van Wert; a brother, Darren of Van Wert; three sisters and their husbands, Dawn and Mark Stutz, Van Wert, Darla and Terry Seibert, and D'Anna and John Siano, all of Mendon; a sister, Katie of Van Wert; and a grandchild.
Deceased is his father.
He was employed as an offshore tankerman.
Services are 7 p.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Carey Knittle officiating.

Erma Albin
Former Celina resident Erma May Albin, 90, died at 5:12 p.m. April 10, 2001 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Finneytown.
She was born Oct. 3, 1910, in Jay County, Ind., to John and Susan (Goode) Brigner. On March 7, 1936, she married Orville F. Albin, who died Jan. 25, 1997.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Paul F. and Carol of Cincinnati; a daughter and her husband, Helen M. and Snowden Eisenhour, Charleston, Ill.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are several brothers and sisters.
She was a homemaker.

Dorothy Eichar
Dorothy V. Eichar, 89, 202 W. Forest St., Celina, died April 10, 2001 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 29, 1912, in Adams County, Ind., to Walter and Lulu (Beam) Johnson. On June 9, 1939, she married Robert F. Eichar, who died Aug. 25, 1990.
Survivors include a sister and her husband, Mary Ada and Noble Raudenbush, Decatur, Ind.; two grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Deceased are a son, Robert A., a daughter, Carolyn, three brothers and six sisters.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Grace Missionary Church, Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Revs. Steve Howell and Paul Eichar officiating. Burial is at Willshire Cemetery.
