Betty Dick
Betty L. Dick, 76, died at 3 p.m. April 11, 2001 at her residence at 222 W. Market St., Celina.
She was born Sept. 25, 1924, in Greenville, to James Raymond and Helen Josephine (Oberer) Sullivan. She was adopted as a child by Anthony and Clara Rindler. On Oct. 20, 1948, she married Charles A. "Cy" Dick, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter and her husband, Mary Jo and John Hellwarth, Celina; a daughter, Carol of Celina; and two grandchildren.
She assisted her husband in the operation of W.H. Dick & Son Funeral Home, and was a former secretary for Mercer County T.B. and Health Association, City Loan, and Producers Creamery. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and its Altar-Rosary Society and was a charter member of Sigma Chapter of Alpha Delta Omega Sorority.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Richard R. Riedel officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.
Contributions can be made to the church's restoration project.
Cowan and Sons Funeral Home, Van Wert, handled arrangements.

Marcella Eilerman
Marcella "Toddy" Eilerman, 81, 3271 Slavik Road, Coldwater, died April 14, 2001 at The Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born April 24, 1919, in Montezuma, to Frank and Mary (Klosterman) Linneman. On Oct. 24, 1938, she married Mark Eilerman, who survives in Coldwater.
Other survivors are four sons and their wives, Mark Jr. and Lois of Arcanum, Robert and Sue of Montezuma, David and Jill, and Charles and Diane, all of Coldwater; three daughters and their husbands, Pamela and Mike Yohey, Montezuma, Mary Eilerman-Messer and Michael Messer, Lafayette, Calif., and Deborah and Mark Rauh, Fort Recovery; a daughter, Patricia Rish, Kettering; a daughter-in-law, Sally of Lima; a brother and his wife, Lewis and Stella Linneman, Bryan; a sister, Bernice Reichert, Montezuma; 29 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Michael, a brother and his wife, Vern and Violet Linneman, a brother-in-law, Arnold Reichert, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Contributions can be made to Mercer/Darke County Hospice, Celina Area Visiting Nurses.

Lincoln Garman
Lincoln C. Garman, 88, 115 S. County Road, Celina, died at 9:40 a.m. April 13, 2001 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1912, in Mercer County, to William E. and Bertha (Schlosser) Garman. On June 21, 1932, he married Nelle Lee Croft, who survives in Celina.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Richard K. and Charlene of Dayton, and Dennis E. and Rose Ann of Hampton, S.C.; a brother and his wife, William E. and Sandra of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Helen Hatfield, Hendersonville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Cletus Garman, an infant sister, Mary, and a sister, Madonna Stoner.
He was an optical products salesman, and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1800, both of Celina, and Mercer County Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 2170. He was a former member of Mercer County Horseman's Association.
Services were held today at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiated. Burial followed at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Contributions can be made to the Immaculate Conception Restoration Project.

Elmer Wilker
Elmer Wilker, 74, 6706 Ohio 219, Montezuma, died at 5:15 a.m. April 15, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born July 4, 1926, in Mercer County, to Louis and Clara (Bruns) Wilker. On Aug. 26, 1950, he married Jane Wendeln, who survives in Montezuma.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, James and Manjit of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mark and Sandy of Anna; three daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Steve Zumberge, Celina, Linda and Ron Schulze, Montezuma, and Nancy and John Wuebker, St. Henry; a sister, Lucille Fisher, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Imelda of St. Marys; and nine grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, LeRoy and Herb.
He was retired from the former Mersman Furniture Corp., Celina, and was employed part-time at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma. He was a member of the church and its Men's Holy Name Society.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Revs. James Dugal and Carl Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Contributions can be made to the donor's favorite mission fund.

Sondra Barrett
Sondra Smith Barrett, 63, of Lakewood, Colo., died at her residence of cancer.
She was born July 12, 1937, in Mercer County, to Wilfred and Lois Smith. In 1959, she married Gene Barrett, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Deanna of Lakewood, Colo., and Shawna Burnside of Washington, Colo.; two sons, Daniel of Lakewood, Colo., and William of Littleton, Colo.; four brothers, Billy Smith, Naples, Fla., Ronald and Roger Smith, both of St. Marys, and Daniel Smith, Celina; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are her parents, and a sister, Sharon Taylor.
She was a teacher with Jefferson County Dept. of Education, and was a 1955 graduate of Coldwater High School.
Services were held April 13 and burial was at Fort Logan National Cemetery near Denver, Colo.

Constance Bollenbacher
Constance K. Bollenbacher, 57, 911 N. Seventh St., Coldwater, died of natural causes at 4:29 p.m. April 16, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born June 23, 1943, in Celina to Adrian and Bessie (Hoenie) Poppe. Her mother, Bessie VanHerk, survives in Bay City, Mich.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Vicki and Dave Bollenbacher of Rockford, and Lisa and Kent Marbaugh, Celina, and two daughters, Deb Hileman, Berne, Ind., and Tessi Bollenbacher, Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Chris of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters; a brother; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased is a son, Jeffrey.
She was a homemaker.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating.
There is no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.

J.R. McCoy
J.R. McCoy, 69, 224 N. Augustus St., St. Marys, died at 4:30 p.m. April 14, 2001 at the St. Marys Living Center.
He was born Dec. 10, 1931, in Fonde, Ky., to Rev. Roy and Gracie (Demarcus) McCoy. On Oct. 15, 1954, he married Wanda Lay, who survives.
Other survivors are three daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Mark Lockard, Carol and Daryl Brackney, all of Wapakoneta, and Shirley and Ron Keith, St. Marys; a son and his wife, Roy and Jill of Cridersville; a daughter, Sheila of Middlesboro, Ky.; two brothers, Danny of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., and Bobby of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Pat Lawson, Sidney, and Janet Sands, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchldren.
Deceased are a daughter, Phyllis, and a son, Donnie.
He was a retired welder from Airport Manufacturing Co., New Knoxville.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Herstle Griffis officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Madella Ruck
Madella Ruck, 87, 302 Bielefeld St., New Knoxville, died at 1:36 p.m. April 15, 2001 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.
She was born April 10, 1914, in Auglaize County, to Louis and Anna (Krop) Kuck. In August of 1940, she married Lee Ruck, who died in September 1964.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Luanne and Gary Kuck of New Knoxville; a son, Bob of Columbus; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Oliver Kuck.
She was retired as the supervisor of St. Marys Public School cafeteria, and had been employed at St. Marys Hardware. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and was a graduate of Wapakoneta High School.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church's radio broadcast fund.
Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Bremen, handled arrangements.
