Jerome Pleiman
Jerome A. Pleiman, 77, 13420 Renee Drive, McCartyville, died at 6 a.m. April 10, 2002, at his residence following a two-month illness.
He was born March 2, 1925, in McCartyville, to Bernard and Mary (Hoying) Pleiman. On April 14, 1948, he married Marcella E. Wuebker and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons and their wives, Gerald and Linda of Anna, Michael and Nancy of McCartyville, David and Linda of Cincinnati and John and Kathy of Fort Loramie; five daughters and their husbands, Karen and Matt Bonnoront, New Knoxville, Sandy and Jim Willhoite, Dayton, Mary and Mark Thaman, Anna, Sue and Joe Thieman, New Bremen, and Kathy and Allan Fogt, McCartyville; two sisters and their husbands, Ann and Jim Henry, Versailles, and Stella and Gregor Evers, Maria Stein, and two sisters, Corrine Bornhorst, New Bremen, and Norma Puthoff, Fort Loramie; 32 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Judith Clement, and five brothers.
He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, Knights of Columbus Council 5239 of McCartyville/St. Patrick, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4239, Sidney, the American Legion and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, both of Minster, and the Disabled American Veterans, Dayton.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Pleiman officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the Minster firing squad.
Calling is 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Lois Brinkman
Lois M. Brinkman, 74, 93 S. Lincoln St., Minster, died at 10 p.m. April 11, 2002, at her residence following a three-month illness.
She was born May 2, 1927, in Minster, to Elmer and Celia (Poeppelman) Oldiges. On July 24, 1948, she married Robert F. Brinkman and he died Dec. 18, 1997.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Joseph and Kathleen of Minster and Thomas and Carol of Delaware; a sister, Rosemary Woehrmyer, Minster; and eight grandchildren.
A sister, Velma Hemmelgarn, is deceased.
She was the retired co-owner of Brinkman Floor Covering, Minster, and Lois' Beauty Shop, St. Marys. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Adoration Guild of Maria Stein and the 83rd Infantry Division Auxiliary.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Sarah McKee
Sarah G. McKee, 81, 01880 Greenville Road, St. Marys, died April 11, 2002, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
She was born Feb. 10, 1921, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Lee and Bessie (Quinn) Fegans. On Dec. 25, 1946, she married Robert McKee and he preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, June McKee and Nancy Felver, both of St. Marys; a sister, Ruby Swiney, no town listed; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, John, the Rev. Ray, George and William Fegans, and two sisters, DeEtte Davis and Opal Baggett.
She was the owner and operator of McKee's Vegetable Stand in St. Marys for many years. She attended First Presbyterian Church, St. Marys.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Keith Kivlin officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
William Wienken
William M. "Bill" Wienken, 79, of Spencerville, died at 8:40 a.m. April 11, 2002, at his residence.
He was born March 16, 1923, in Spencerville, to Raymond S. and Mary C. (Donhaiser) Wienken. On July 24, 1950, he married Virginia L. Jones and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Michael and Kris of Lima and David and Robin of Spencerville; two sisters and their husbands, Betty and Ned Kantner, Spencerville, and Marcella and Don Dieringer, Lima, and two sisters, Shirley Hamilton, Delphos, and Caroline Joan McClintock, Spencerville; two granddaughters and two stepgranddaughters.
A brother, Dick, is deceased.
A 1941 graduate of Spencerville High School, he served with the U.S. Army in Normandy and Northern France during World War II. He worked with "Bill the Tailor" and 25 years at Pohlman's Hardware, both of Spencerville. He owned B. & D. Variety Store from 1959 to 1983 and then owned B. & D. Flooring Co., also of Spencerville, with his brother.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a charter and life member of Bowersock Brothers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772, Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191 and the Northwestern Ohio Field and Stream Association, all of Spencerville.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. John Fleck officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will follow at Spencerville Cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. A parish wake service will be held there at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Ida Wintrow
Ida M. Wintrow, 89, of Troy, a Rockford native, died at 6 a.m. April 11, 2002, at Koester Pavilion, Troy.
She was born May 1, 1912, in Rockford, to Richard and Bertha (Marbaugh) Boroff. Her husband, William T. Wintrow, died in 1971.
Surviving are six grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are an adopted son, Allen; an adopted daughter, Carol Anderson; three brothers, Leo, Albert and Corvil Boroff; and three sisters, Cleo Dock, Hazel Hanson and Clara Fraley.
She retired from A.O. Smith Co. She was a former member and committee chairman of the Loyal Order of Moose in Piqua and had served as secretary for several area bowling leagues.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.

Michael Gray
Michael V. Gray, 59, 136 Mallard Cove, Celina, died of cancer at 8 p.m. April 11, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 9, 1942, in Celina, to Harold and Ada (Meyer) Gray. On Feb. 17, 1962, he married Marcia Winget who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Tracy and Michael Heuker, and Julie and Alex Vogel, and a daughter, Myra Wolters, all of Celina; a brother, Marvin of Celina; a sister and her husband, Margie and Bernard Frahm, Celina, and a sister, Harriet Brookhart, Montezuma; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Jack and Max.
He was a production manager for the former Erb Lumber of Celina, and a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, Celina, the Mercer County Sheriff's Reserves and a 1960 graduate of Celina High School.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
