Robert Martin
Robert W. Martin, 65, East LaSalle Avenue, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 10:31 p.m. April 21, 2002, at St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind.
He was born April 13, 1937, in Mishawaka, to Emerson and Edith (Davis) Martin. On Nov. 24, 1962, he married Myra A. Wagner of Celina and she died June 11, 2001.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Kris and David Allison, Mishawaka; and a brother, Carl of Mishawaka.
A sister, Donna Borders, is deceased.
He retired in 1999 from Ristance Corp. and had formerly worked at Federal Paper Board, Elkhart, Ind. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Services were held at noon Thursday at Bubb Funeral Chapel North, Mishawaka, the Rev. Ervin Mize officiated. Burial followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oceola, Ind.
Eulalia Stauffer
Eulalia M. Stauffer, 87, formerly of 1149 Jefferson Ave., Celina, died at 6:40 a.m. April 25, 2002, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born March 18, 1915, in Rockford, to J. Warren and Loa (Weisenborn) Wert. On April 22, 1939, she married Cyrl Stauffer and he died Dec. 28, 1972.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, James and Rebecca and Jeffrey and Susan, all of Mason, and a son, Jerrie of Reston, Va.; a daughter and her husband, Jone and John R. Lane, Elida; a sister, Ruthilene Wilson, Celina; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Barbara Schlueter, and a granddaughter are deceased.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, both of Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling is 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Claude Smith
Claude "Pete" Smith, 76, 817 Columbia St., St. Marys, died at 8:16 p.m. April 25, 2002, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima.
He was born July 12, 1925, in Spencerville, the son of Elizabeth Sarka Smith. On Nov. 1, 1952, he married Barbara Campbell, who survives at the residence.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Michael and Terri of Lima, Tim and Michelle of St. Marys and Harry and Karen of New Bremen; a daughter and her husband, Kathy and Dennis Schwarck of St. Marys; a daughter, Susie Kolsky, also of St. Marys; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Smith.
He was retired from Hayes-Albion Corporation in Spencerville and worked for 25 years at the former Weston Paper Mill in St. Marys. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in St. Marys and a member of the Eagles Arie 767 of St. Marys.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday, at the Long and Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Rev. James Nuhfer officiating. Burial will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery, east of Spencerville.
Calling is 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Adelle Golden
Adelle A. Golden, 85, formerly of Minster, died at 7:30 a.m. April 26, 2002, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, where she had lived for two and a half years.
She was born Aug. 1, 1916, in Maria Stein, the daughter of Frank and Julianna (Bertke) Heitkamp. On Sept. 14, 1940, she married Carl P. Golden, who died Nov. 17, 1988.
She is survived by three brothers and their wives, Frank and Joyce Heitkamp of Minster, Thomas and Martha Heitkamp of Celina and Ivo and Wilma Heitkamp of Philothea; a sister and her husband, Delores and William Munch of London; and a sister Marie Will of New Bremen.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
She worked as a secretary at Barnhold Insurance and as a part-time secretary at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, where she was a member. She also did clothing alterations and baking for Minster area residents. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia of the Church and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 1391 in Minster.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery
Calling is 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 9: 30 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.

Owen Ashbaugh
Owen "Red" Ashbaugh, 69, 1100 Myers Road, Apt. 47, Celina, died at at 4 a.m. today, April 29, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 23, 1932, in St. Marys, to Owen and Luella (Roby) Ashbaugh. On Jan. 4, 1975, he married Gwen McMillan who survives.
He is survivored by a sister, Virginia Sharp, Decatur, Ind.
He retired from the former Mersman Brothers Furniture Factory in Celina, and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. Donald Ramsey officiating. Burial information is unavailable.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions can be made to the Celina Area Visiting Nurses and Mercer-Darke Hospice.

Marcella Huelskamp
Former Fort Recovery resident Marcella A. "Sally" Huelskamp, 66, died at 2:40 p.m. April 28, 2002, at Versailles Health Care Center, where she resided.
She was born Sept. 26, 1935, in St. Peter, to William and Caroline (Selhorst) Huelskamp.
Survivors are a brother, Ralph of Fort Recovery; two sisters and their husbands, Irene and Herbert Siefring, New Weston, and Edna and Robert Grilliot, Versailles, and three sisters, Mary of Fort Recovery, Ann Schmitmeyer, Sidney, and Helen Bowers, Dayton.
Deceased is a brother.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Michael McBeth Jr.
Michael E. McBeth Jr., 37, 102 N. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta, was pronounced dead at 8 a.m. April 27, 2002, from injuries sustained in a single-car accident on Hardin Pike Road south of Wapakoneta.
He was born March 26, 1964, in Lima, to Michael E. and Marilyn (Mort) McBeth, who survive in Harrod.
Other survivors are three brothers and their wives, Robert and Mary of Cridersville, Keith and Kim of Lima, and Dave and Lou of Waupaca, Wisc.; a sister, Cheryl Welch, Lima; and paternal grandmother, Betty Obenour, Wapakoneta.
He was a truck driver and delivered newspapers for the Wapakoneta Daily News and The Lima News.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Barbara Dafler officiating. Burial information was not available.
