Henry Jansen
Henry Jansen, 83, 371 Western Ave., St. Henry, died at 2:20 p.m. April 20, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born June 14, 1919, in St. Joe, to John and Margaret Schuh Jansen.
Surviving are four brothers, Dennis (Lucy) of Coldwater, John (Pat) of Celina, Tom (Mary Jo) of Dayton and Paul (Judy) of St. Henry; three sisters, Clara Lauber, Dayton, Margaret Stammen, Coldwater, and Lucy (Bob) Link, Celina; and a sister-in-law, Betty Jansen, Florida.
Deceased are four brothers, Clarence, Bill, Louis and Bob; two sisters, Isabelle Heinke and Mary Hemmelgarn; and four brothers-in-law, Paul Heinke, Oscar Hemmelgarn, Walter Stammen and Floyd Lauber.
He had been self employed in the plastering business and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church and the St. Henry American Legion.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with the St. Henry American Legion conducting military rites.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
Julia Krieg
Former St. Anthony resident Julia A. Krieg, 79, died at 1:20 p.m. April 20, 2003, at the Gardens at Celina, where she resided. She was born June 1, 1923, in Fort Recovery, to William and Matilda Braun Fullenkamp. On May 10, 1947, she married Hilbert S. Krieg who died Aug. 24, 1990.
Surviving are three sons, James (Janet) and Michael (Marty) of Coldwater and Gary (Ruth) of St. Anthony; two daughters, Teresa (Dave) Kleinhenz, Maria Stein, and Kathleen (Samuel) Mescher, Coldwater; two brothers, Wilbur (Jeanie) Fullenkamp, Redkey, Ind., and Eugene (Marilyn) Fullenkamp, Decatur, Ind.; a sister, Lucille (Lester) Moorman, Cape Coral, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Alice Fullenkamp, Decatur, and Irene Fullenkamp, Portland, Ind.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Ernest and Martin Fullenkamp, and two sisters, Salome Hartnagel and Madonna Bricker.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Altar Sodality of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was a former member of the St. Anthony church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the St. Anthony church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Cora Gillis
Cora Belle Gillis, 81, 1001 Myers Road, Celina, died at 6:37 p.m. April 17, 2003, at SCCI Hospital, part of St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born April 20, 1921, in Hoopston, Ill., to Herbert and Bessie Sales Millard. On Feb. 4, 1942, she married Clarence Gillis who died March 13, 1972.
Surviving are a son, Pat (Sandy) of Celina; three daughters-in-law, Charlene Gillis, Coldwater, Kelli and Karen Gillis, both of Celina; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three sons, Ronald, Mike and Tom; two brothers and five sisters.
A retired licensed practical nurse, she had worked at Gibbons Hospital and Otis Hospital in Celina. She also had worked as a private duty nurse in Celina. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Barbara Armentrout officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens.
Calling is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Donald Grant
Donald D. "Don" Grant, 45, of Huber Heights, died April 16, 2003, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born June 28, 1957, in Dayton, to Stephen S. and Anna Marie Dix Grant. His mother survives in Dayton.
Surviving with his wife of 24 years, the former Lucy Willmann, are a son, Ryan; a daughter, Marina; a brother, Stephen (Lorri) of Boca Raton, Fla.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold (Ruth) Willmann, Fort Recovery; two brothers-in-law, Ted (Ann) Willmann, St. Henry, and Richard (Jane) Willmann, Fort Recovery; and two sisters-in-law, Virginia (Dave) Robbins, Coldwater, and Patricia (Greg) Robinson, Lewisburg.
Two brothers, Richard and Robert, are deceased.
Memorial Mass is 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Huber Heights.

Lorraine Kremer
Coldwater native Lorraine T. Kremer, 46, of Concord, N.H., died April 18, 2003, at Hospice House in Concord, following an extended illness.
She was born April 29, 1956, in Coldwater, to Raymond S. and Jeanene M. Vagedes Kremer. They survive in Coldwater.
Surviving with her husband, John P. Giere of Concord, are seven brothers, Jeffrey (Lisa), Timothy (Susan), Jason, and Brian (Amy), all of Coldwater, Eric of Castelnau le Lez, France, Philip (Linda) and Brad (Marcia) of Tipp City, and four sisters, Cynthia of Celina, Gail (Brian) Quan, Denver, Colo., Janel (Brad) Still, Willow Spring, N.C., and Jodi of Coldwater.
She was business supervisor for administrative services for the State of New Hampshire. She received an associate degree in accounting from Wright State University in 1977, as well as bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting in 1987 and 1989 from Truman State University, where she was named outstanding graduate accounting student
Memorial service is 2 p.m. April 25 at the Church Street chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, Concord. Burial will take place this summer at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Madonna Buschor
Coldwater native Madonna A. "Sug" Buschor, 85, of Dayton, died April 14, 2003, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
She was born July 26, 1917, in Coldwater, to Roman and Clara Selhorst Hoyng. Her husband of 54 years, Morant A. Buschor, died in 1995.
Surviving are a son, Michael R. of Dayton; and a sister, Wilma Buschur, Coldwater.
She had worked in the accounting department at Rikes Department Store and later as supervisor at Burke Marketing and Research, a division of Procter & Gamble. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society, both of Dayton.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Del Staigers officiating.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Baker/Hazel Funeral Home, Dayton. A prayer service will be held there at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Martina Kidder
Martina A. Kidder, 95, of Coldwater, died April 18, 2003, at 12:10 a.m. at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born Nov. 20, 1907, in Philothea, to Henry and Elizabeth Pleiman Rentz. Her husband, Ivan Kidder, died in 1986.
Surviving are a brother, Henry (Nina) Rentz, Indianapolis, Ind.; and two sisters, Marie Brumly, Dayton, and Alma (Steve) Costello, Spokane, Wash.
Nine brothers and sisters are deceased.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery, Philothea.

Kenneth Fisher
Kenneth E. Fisher, 83, of Kossuth, died April 16, 2003, at his residence.
He was born April 24, 1919, in Van Wert County, to Emery and Lola Heist Fisher. On Sept. 15, 1945, he married Ada H. Tewell who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Nelson (Diana) and Norman (Martha), both of Wapakoneta, and Nolan (Christine) of St. Paris; three daughters, Phyllis (Edward) Goodson, Lima, Alexa Tippie, St. Marys, and Joyce Fisher, Spencerville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A longtime farmer, he had worked as a welder at Gramm Trailer/Fruehauf Corp., Delphos, and retired from New Idea in Coldwater. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a graduate of York High School and a member of Kossuth-Zion United Methodist Church.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Raymond S. Daniel Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Cemetery near Van Wert with military rites conducted by Bowersock Brothers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772 and Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191, both of Spencerville.
Calling is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, at after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.

Marie Groff
Marie B. Groff, 87, 257 E. Star Road, North Star, died suddenly April 15, 2003, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 8, 1915, in St. Sebastian, to John and Anna Schwegman Knapke. On April 16, 1947, she married Francis J. Groff who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Tim (Cheryl) of Dayton; a daughter, Theresa of Kettering; a sister, Viola (Richard) Groff, Kettering; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Raymond, Norbert and Albert, and four sisters, Alvina Mestemaker, Erma Bergman, Leona Heuing and Marcella Duweling.
A homemaker and the former owner of Groff Groceries in North Star, she also baked wedding cakes for many years. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, the St. Ann's Sodality of the parish and the American Legion Auxiliary, all of North Star, and the Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

George Lybarger
George B. Lybarger, 48, of Spencerville, died at 7:05 a.m. April 16, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following a sudden illness at his residence.
He was born Dec. 30, 1954, in Lima, to Roger O. and Grace Marie Alspaugh Dorsten Lybarger. A stepfather, Bill Wilkerson, survives in Spencerville. On April 20, 1974, he married Sandra Lee Parsons who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Roger, and a daughter, Melissa Lynn, all of Spencerville; and two brothers, Wilson J. (Treda) Dorsten, Spencerville, and Eugene S. (Diana) Wilkerson, Ada.
A brother, William Lee Wilkerson, is deceased.
He was employed as a custodian at Spencerville Elementary School and previously worked at the Fruehauf Corp. in Delphos for 12 years and the Re-Lom Division of Flexible Foam Products in Spencerville for four years. He attended Spencerville Schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1975. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Union Church in Buckland, where he served as a trustee and a member of the official board and pastoral committee. He was a member of Harry J. Reynolds American Legion Post 191, Spencerville, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691, Wapakoneta. Active in Cub Scouts, he formerly served as Cubmaster for Spencerville Pack 2.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Revs. Carl W. Miller and Timothy R. Bruns officiating. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 191 and Bowersock Brothers Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772, both of Spencerville.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Saturday and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. An Eagle memorial service will be held there at 8 p.m. Saturday.
