Patricia E. Harner, 69, 808 Pro Drive, Apt. 9, Celina, died at 8 a.m. April 9, 2003, at her residence.
She was born June 11, 1933, in Wabash, to Edward and Elizabeth Cole Kittle. On Aug. 16, 1952, she married Herbert H. Harner who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Steven (Cindy) of Rockford; a daughter, Susan of Cleveland; a brother, Robert Kittle, Celina; a sister, Shirley Levi, Celina; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Orville and Paul Richard, are deceased.
She was a housewife and a member of New Life Apostolic Church.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Allen Thwaits officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.

James Schlemann
Former Fort Recovery resident James F. Schlemann, 79, 5316 53rd Ave., Lot J3, Bradenton, Fla., died April 7, 2003, at Blake Hospital in Bradenton.
He was born Dec. 16, 1923, in Dayton, to Lawrence and Justina Sell Schlemann. On June 14, 1945, he married Marlyn Marsh who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sue Ann (Donald) Klosterman, Celina; a brother, Lawrence of Hamilton; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
An infant daughter, Carol Ann, and a sister, Dolores Wadovsky, are deceased.
He retired as a machinist at Teledyne Portland Forge, Portland, Ind. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Portland, and the Lions Club, Jaycees and American Legion, all of Bradenton. He also was a board member at Westwinds Village in Bradenton.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Paul Wohlwend officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Green Park Cemetery, Portland.
Calling is 9-10:45 a.m. Saturday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Glenn Snavely
Glenn J. Snavely, 78, 124 Home Ave., Celina, died at 4:30 a.m. April 9, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Mercer County, to Glenn C. and Bessie P. Lutz Snavely. The mother survives at Colonial Nursing Center, Rockford. On Jan. 26, 1947, he married Lois N. Hiles who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Craig (Darlene) of Celina; a sister, Mary (Clayton) Adams, Mendon; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Mark, and three sisters, Winifred Darras, Virginia Muhlenkamp and Phyllis Blythe.
He had been a clerk at the Celina Post Office for 28 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 210 and Lodge 241, Free & Accepted Masons, all of Celina, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772, Spencerville.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Douglas R. Meyer and Jason Tyas officiating. Burial with military rites will be at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held there at 8 p.m.

Davona Yohey
Davona J. Yohey, 62, 10200 Reece Road, Piqua, died at 12:02 p.m. April 9, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Piqua, to David A. and Jeanne L. Dix Harvey. On May 23, 1959, she married Bruce E. Yohey who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Donna E. of Troy; a brother, John W. Harvey of New Port; a brother-in-law, Mike (Pam) Yohey, Celina; a sister-in-law, Linda (Larry) Regedanz, Celina; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a son, David; a daughter, Dianne J.; and a brother, David C. Harvey.
She was a homemaker, a 1959 graduate of Piqua Central High School and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Piqua.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family.

Ralph Buck
Ralph E. Buck, 79, 836 S. Beech St., St. Marys, died at 1:28 a.m. April 8, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Nov. 9, 1923, in Celina, to Oscar and Opal Fleenor Buck. On June 29, 1948, he married Ilene Klosterman and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ronald (Cathy) of St. Marys; five daughters, Diane (Dale) Engel, Mary (Mike) Zwiebel, Karen (Greg) Muhl-enkamp and Connie (Denny) Lauth, all of St. Marys, and Joan of Marion, Ind.; two brothers, Billie and Lisle, both of Celina; three sisters, Alice Baucher, Ruth Byers and Janet Garwood, also of Celina; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 37 years of service and also was a farmer. He was a 1942 graduate of Celina High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a corporal in the 104th Medical Battalion in Europe during World War II and earning several medals. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, American Legion Post 323 and the Disabled American Veterans, all of St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Revs. Leo Hoying and David Heinl officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys, with the American Legion conducting military graveside rites.
Calling is 3-8:30 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Donna Caffee
Donna M. Caffee, 85, of Willshire, died at noon April 8, 2003, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born June 24, 1917, in Willshire Township, to William Thomas and Charlotte Voltz Johns. On Aug. 4, 1935, she married Vernon A. Caffee who died Dec. 5, 1977.
Surviving are a son, Larry (Linda) of Willshire; two daughters, Connie (J.R.) Brigner, Rockford, and Sue (Dick) Wise, Medina; two sisters, Louise Johns of Van Wert and Frances Bonfiglio, Decatur, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Deceased are a brother, Dallas Johns; two sisters, Maxine Tannehill and Wanda Johns; and a grandson.
She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Women's Association of the church and Chattanooga Grange, all of Chattanooga.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Thomas P. Arheit officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Wilfred Link
Wilfred A. "Willy" "Pete" Link, 64, 7127 Plessinger Road, Versailles, died April 6, 2003, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Feb. 12, 1939, in McCartyville, to Raymond and Lidwinna Muhlenkamp Link. On Dec. 8, 1979, he married Ann Marie Marchal who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Lee Marvin Link, Versailles, Jeff Harden, Minnesota and Dan McCarty, New Weston; four daughters, Deanna (Bruce) Davis, Greenville, Jodie Black, New Weston, Rebecca Mincer, Atlanta, Ga., and Christy Mincer, Versailles; three brothers, Marvin (Barb) of Vandalia, Ivo (Julie) of St. Henry and Dennis (Barbara) of Maria Stein; and 19 grandchildren.
Deceased are a stepson, Bill McCarty; a sister, Doretta Bruggeman; and a grandchild.
He was a retired truck driver in the Teamsters Union, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Versailles.

Ursula Platfoot
Ursula A. Platfoot, 85, formerly of 11977 Wenger Road, Anna, died at 8:40 a.m. April 8, 2003, at Fair Haven Shelby County Home, Sidney.
She was born June 26, 1917, in Fort Loramie, to Frank and Frances Hoelscher Schlater. On May 22, 1940, she married Robert M. Platfoot who died Aug. 1, 1994.
Surviving are five sons, Ron of Minster, Gerald and Thomas of Dayton, George of Sidney and Frank of Jackson Center; three daughters, Marlene (Earl) Siegrist, Coldwater, Jo (Richard) Bergman, New Bremen, and Theresa (Thomas) Zimpher, Anna; 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, seven stepgreat-grandchildren and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.
Also surviving are a brother, Al Schlater, Fort Loramie; and three sisters, Juliann Frey, Fort Loramie, Freda Pleiman, Union City, and Emma Grilliot, Piqua.
One brother is deceased.
She had worked as a bookkeeper for the National Farmers Organization, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, and a member and past officer of the Ladies Sodality of the church.,

Judith Rutschilling
Judith A. "Judy" Rutschilling, 63, 305 Bohman Drive, Osgood, died at 8 a.m. April 8, 2003, in a car-semitrailer accident at the intersection of Ohio 705 and U.S. 127. A story appears on page one.
She was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Minster, to Clem and Marie Berning Feldman. On Feb. 27, 1960, she married Victor B. Rutschilling who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James (Bonnie) of Celina and Rick (Dana) of New Bremen; two daughters, Lona Jo (Kevin) Mescher, St. Henry, and Lisa (Pat) Rosenbeck, Maria Stein; a brother, Thomas (Carol) Feldman, Minster; two sisters, Joan (Bill) Earley, Minster, and Gail (Ted) Wendeln, Fort Loramie; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gary.
She was the former co-owner and operator of VJ's Restaurant at Lake Loramie and the Osgood Inn. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood.
