Gloria Partin
Gloria L. Partin, 65, Burr Oak Road, Wapakoneta, died at 10:30 a.m. April 1, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born March 13, 1938, in Harlan County, Ky., to George M. and Georgie Lee (Richards) Bowling.
Surviving are three sons, Ricky (Wilma) of Rockholds, Ky., and Donnie Allen (Eva) and Mark (Debbie), both of Winfield, Ky.; a daughter, Vickie L. of Wapakoneta; a brother, Frank (Frankie) Bowling, St. Marys; two sisters, Jessie Andrews and Loraine Williams, also of St. Marys; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A sister, Susie Bowling, is deceased.
She was a member of Only Believe Ministries, Botkins.
Memorial services are 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Peter Doseck officiating.
Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, has charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
Sandra Piper
Sandra K. Piper, 61, of Elida, died at 11:40 a.m. March 31, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born June 18, 1941, in Van Wert, to Earl and Marjorie Harmon Arnold. On Nov. 12, 1960, she married Larry E. Piper who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Bart (Cherrie) and Wade, both of Elida; a sister, Maxine (Ben) Vorhees, Mendon; and four grandchildren.
A sister, Loretta Wilson, is deceased.
She was a homemaker and bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and a graduate of Van Wert High School.
Services are noon Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, the Rev. Wanda Werking officiating. Burial will be in Cairo East Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
Leonard Etgen
Leonard L. Etgen, 91, 1031/2 S. Frankfort St., Minster, died at 8:25 p.m. March 31, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
He was born April 3, 1911, in Minster, to John and Catherine Melcher Etgen.
Surviving is a sister, Alice Wineberg of California.
Two brothers, Jerome and Sylvester, and two sisters, Johanna Brown and Anna, are deceased.
He had been a general laborer for Baumer Construction, Minster. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, both of Minster.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, has charge of arrangements.

Victor Blossom
Former Rockford resident Victor E. Blossom, 40, of Elgin, died at 11 a.m. April 30, 2001 following a short illness at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born June 2, 1960, in Celina, to Eddy L. and Shirley A. (Platt) Blossom. His father survives in Rockford.
Other survivors are a brother and his wife, Vincent and Laurie of Decatur, Ind.; and a sister and her husband, Vivian and Joe Thompson, Elgin.
Deceased is his mother.
He was a mechanic and a part of the maintenance personnel at Mercer Landmark in Elgin, and was a member of National Rifle Association.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. James Sturgeon officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
George Centers
George E. Centers, 68, rural Wapakoneta, died at 9:50 a.m. April 29, 2001 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Dayton.
He was born June 23, 1932, in Hindman, Ky., to Sherman J. and Rebecca (Mosley) Centers. On Feb. 17, 1953, he married Viola Conley, who died Oct. 3, 1992.
Survivors are two sons and their wives, Steven and Sheila of Daphne, Ala., and Philip and Diana of Lakeview; a daughter and her husband, Julie and Steven Weil, Wapakoneta; two brothers, Garth of Cincinnati, and Jack of Gomer; a sister, Phyllis Hefner, Lima; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Jennings, Frank, Jimmy and Paul, and two sisters, Peggy Stellmack and Pansy Goble.
He was retired as manager of systems and programming for International Brake Industries, Inc., Lima, formerly employed at General Highway Express, Sidney, and following retirement, was involved with the transportation program for Veterans Service Commission for Auglaize County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended New Salem Association of Old Regular Baptist Church and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, Lima.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial with military honors is at Shawnee Cemetery, Lima.
Calling is 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Betty Cummins
Former Celina resident Betty J. Cummins, 73, died April 29, 2001 at her residence at Beech Grove, Ind.
She was born Nov. 1, 1927, in Celina, to Charles J. and Jennie Alice (Hole) Gray. She was married to Kahle W. Cummins, who died July 27, 1987.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Tom and Debby of Celina; two daughters and their husbands, Melody and Mike Gayle, Indianapolis, Ind., and Beverly and Keith Kable, Decatur, Ind.; a brother, Richard Gray, Celina; a sister and her husband, Velma and Leonard Quinter, Dayton; two sisters, Lela Partin, Van Wert, and Margaret Bertke, Celina; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Charles "Arlie" Grey and Larry Gray, and two sisters, Edith Adams and Mary Ellen Jutte.
She was a homemaker and a member of Women of the Moose Lodge, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. M. Stephen Merold officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.

Donald Diller
Donald J. Diller, 71, 409 W. Park St., Coldwater, died at 6:15 a.m. May 1, 2001 at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born Sept. 2, 1929, in St. Anthony, to John and Mary (Gross) Diller. On May 29, 1954, he married Rita Ruther, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Kenneth of Columbus; two daughters and their husbands, Christine and James Grilliot, Lancaster, and Catherine and Anthony Puthoff, Philothea; a brother, Rev. Harold Diller, Carthagena; a sister and her husband, Ethel and Robert Boeckman, Coldwater; a sister, Sister Mary Adela Diller, Tiffin; a sister-in-law and her husband, Kathleen and Paul Telljohn, Kenton; three sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Diller, Sharpsburg, Mary Ellen Harmon, Murphysboro, Tenn., and Virginia Spees, Cridersville; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Kevin, a sister, Adela, and three brothers, Zeno, Rev. Otto and Walter.
He was a retired foreman at the former New Idea and Pax Steel Products, both of Coldwater, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Coldwater. He served as past grand knight of Coldwater Knights of Columbus Council 1991, 4th Degree St. Gasper del Bufalo Knights of Columbus, Minster, past president of Coldwater Jaycees, past president of the Community Picnic Association, and as a hospital volunteer.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Ron Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

Norma Klith
Norma Jean Klith, 69, 322 Third Ave., Coldwater, died at 7:34 a.m. April 28, 2001 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 17, 1931, in Kenton, to Floyd William and Beatrice Juanita (Armentrout) Franks.
Survivors are two sons and their wives, Larry and Brenda Moles, Prescott, Ariz., and Dan and Diane Lambert Moles, Dayton; a son, Kenneth Moles, Centerville; two brothers, Ernie Franks, Gahanna, and William Franks, Middletown; and four grandchildren.
She was employed in food services management in the Dayton area.
Private family services and burial will be held.

Deborah Romer
Deborah Ann Romer, 52, of West Nashville/McEwen, Tenn. died April 23, 2001 following a short illness.
She was born March 26, 1949, in Celina, to Lowell Joseph and Anna Louise Romer.
Survivors include a sister, Cathy of Nashville, Tenn., a brother and his wife, David and Gail of Ruston, La., and a number of aunts and cousins from the St. Henry/Coldwater area.
Deceased are her parents and grandparents, Harry and Margaret Romer, and Anthony and Bertha Metzner.
She was a clerical associate at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Services were held April 27 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Nashville, Tenn., the Bishop James D. Niedergeses officiated. Burial was at Youngs Cemetery in McEwen, Tenn.
