Hannah Barhorst
Hannah Marie Barhorst, 6-month-old daughter of Keith and Karen Albers Barhorst, Fort Loramie-Swanders Road, Anna, died at 1:48 p.m. May 18, 2003, at Children's Hospital, Columbus. She had been seriously ill for a day.
She was born Oct. 26, 2002, in Coldwater.
Surviving with the parents are a brother, Austin, and two sisters, Audrey and Lauren, all at home; maternal grandparents, Henry and Bernice Albers, McCartyville; paternal grandparents, Tom and Bernice Barhorst, also of McCartyville; and great-grandparents, Eugene and Josephine Dirksen, Maria Stein.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, where services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Pat Welsh officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.

Eileen Bickel
Eileen D. Bickel, 46, 2155 S. Boundary Pike, Portland, Ind., died May 16, 2003, in an airplane crash in South Carolina.
She was born July 10, 1956, in Portland, to John and Marceil Muhlenkamp Alig. They survive in Portland. Her husband, Jeff A. Bickel, also died in the same crash.
Surviving are two sons, Tom of Peoria, Ill., and Brian of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Sherry (Schaun) Shepherd, Lafayette, Ind.; two brothers, Paul and Michael Alig, both of Portland; three sisters, Kathy (Russel) Clark and Susan (Mike) Smith, also of Portland, and Rita (David) Romer, Coldwater; and four grandchildren.
She was payroll administrator at Bearcreek Farms and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Portland.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, the Rev. Marty Sandhage officiating. Burial will be at Green Park Cemetery.
Calling is 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jeff Bickel
Jeff A. Bickel, 48, 2155 S. Boundary Pike, Portland, Ind., died May 16, 2003, in an airplane crash in South Carolina.
He was born Aug. 23, 1954, in Portland, to Ron and Mary Ellen Shreeve Bickel. They survive in Portland. His wife, the former Eileen D. Alig, died in the same crash.
Surviving are two sons, Tom of Peoria, Ill., and Brian of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Sherry (Schaun) Shepherd, Lafayette, Ind.; two brothers, Dennis of New Haven, Ind., and Ed of Portland; and four grandchildren.
He was plant manager at Moser's Engineering in Portland.

Donald Enyart
Donald C. Enyart, 68, 10731 Ohio 118, Rockford, died at 11:40 a.m. May 15, 2003, at Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Celina, to Sherman and Carrie Williamson Enyart. Eva Martin Drieling, the mother of his children, survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Don, Ed, Garry and Bob, all of Portland, Ind., and James of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Amy Bash, Celina, and Teresa of Delphos; a brother, Mike of Van Wert; two sisters, Mary Steiner, Rockford, and Ada Fast, Celina; and 14 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother and three sisters.
He was a mechanic and former employee of NAPA Portland Motor Parts. He was a member of the Berne Indiana Lions Club and the Portland Reserve Police Department.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Lord's Church, Celina, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. No burial information was available.
There are no calling hours.

Darlene Wolfe
Darlene Renee Wolfe, 40, 600 Bruns Ave., Apt. 48, Celina, died suddenly May 19, 2003, at her home. A cause of death was unavailable at press time today.
She was born June 27, 1962 in Mercer County, to Norman and Mary Jane Meihls Wolfe who survive in Celina.
Other survivors are a brother, George of Celina; and two sisters, Becky Stewart, Celina, and Mary (David) Kobos, Atlanta, Ga.
She was a homemaker and a Celina High School graduate.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 11 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
Rev. Aloysius Friedrich
The Rev. Aloysius Friedrich, 96, the oldest member of the Cincinnati Province of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, died at 6:05 p.m. May 16, 2003, at St. Charles Center, Carthagena.
He was born Sept. 11, 1906, in Parkston, S.D., to Martin and Anne Friedrich.
Surviving are two sisters, Frances Hehn, Jackson, Minn., and Celestine Usher, Mitchell, S.D., and a half brother, James of California.
He worked on a railroad section gang prior to entering the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in September 1927 and was ordained May 10, 1936.
He spent most of his years in parish ministry serving as assistant pastor at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf and St. Mary Catholic Church in Piqua before being named pastor of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Cleveland. In 1948, he was appointed assistant pastor of Precious Blood Church in Fort Wayne, Ind., and in 1950, he was named pastor of St. Anthony Church in Liberal, Kansas, where he oversaw building of the church. In 1958, he returned to Glandorf, where he remained until assuming the pastorate of St. Sebastian Church in Mercer County in 1968. He retired to St. Charles in July 1979.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Charles, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the community cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at St. Charles.

Allen Meyers
Allen Meyers, 86, 801 Hillcrest Drive, St. Marys, formerly of Sacramento, Calif., died at 11:51 p.m. May 17, 2003, at the St. Marys Living Center.
He was born March 30, 1917, in St. Marys, to Leonard and Jennie Mabel Bevington Meyers. His first wife, Verna Tebbe, and his second wife, Rose Hawkins, are deceased. In 1996, he married June Howell Huey who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mary Meyers, and her husband, Bill Samuel, San Diego, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Jean Drees; and a granddaughter.
Deceased are three brothers, Bernard, Don and Clarence.
He worked at Bendix Corp. during World War II and later worked as a pharmaceutical representative for the William S. Merrill Co. He was a 1935 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys, and later attended business school in Chillicothe, Mo.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Wapakoneta.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Herb Berry officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
Alma Moeller
Alma E. Moeller, 80, 6272 Ohio 219, Celina, died at 2:35 a.m. May 18, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
She was born April 25, 1923, in Montezuma, to Bernard and Josephine Schroer Wynk. On Jan. 5, 1944, she married Frederick W. Moeller who died in 1990.
Surviving are three sons, Francis (Debbie) of Springfield, Va., Dennis (Marlene) and Michael (Eileen), both of Coldwater; three daughters, Kathy (John) Chappie and Phyllis Brown, both of Celina, and Kathy (Paul) Grisez, Anna; two sisters, Catherine Grieshop and Josephine Black, both of Coldwater; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Timothy; a son-in-law, Dave Brown; five brothers and three sisters.
She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 17 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, where she had been a CCD coordinator and teacher for 21 years, and the Christian Mother's Sodality of the church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. James Dugal officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Karl Anderson
Karl Norman Anderson, 72, 3993 E. 350 S., Bluffton, Ind., died at 2 p.m. May 15, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Hartford City, Ind., to Mercer County natives Thomas Loree and Cora Norvella Cheney Anderson. On Sept. 18, 1972, he married Carol McClain who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Douglas (Kim) of Petroleum, Ind.; two daughters, Sherry (Steve) Coleman, Tempe, Ariz., and Tamara Schambers, Bluffton; a brother, Lloyd (Annabelle) of Daleville, Ind.; three sisters, Meredyth (Robert) Aspy, Montpelier, Ind., Onalee Bradley, Bluffton, and Frances (Max) Glancy, Hartford City; six grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Deceased are two brothers, Forrest and Eugene, and two sisters, Hazel Anderson and Ollie M. Bischoff.
He was the owner of Southview Apartments for the past 27 years and former owner of Southview Rest Home, both of Bluffton. He had been co-owner of Sonshine Hair Care in Bluffton and Boise Barber Shop in Montpelier in addition to working part time at Maplewood Home in Wells County and working as a nursing home administrator. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Bluffton.
He attended Indiana Barber College in Indianapolis and Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne.
Services are 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Sonlight Wesleyan Church, the Rev. Tom Bradley officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Brookside Memorial Park, Montpelier.

Ruth Dershem
Ruth Irene Dershem, 92, of Spencerville, died at 6:25 p.m. May 13, 2003, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.
She was born May 9, 1911, near Fort Amanda, to Archelaus and Irana May Baker Martin. On Nov. 21, 1931, she married Byron H. Dershem who died Aug. 14, 1960.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas L. (Kay) of Trussville, Ala., and Robert L. (Betty) of Lima; a daughter, Alice M. of Lima; a brother, Norman (Marvalee) Martin, St. Marys; three sisters, Eunice Shock, Lima, Cleona (Robert) Layton, Cridersville, and Mary May (James) Carmean, St. Marys; three daughters-in-law, Jeanine of Pensacola, Fla., Betty, of Newark and Helen of Worthington; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased are three sons, Carroll A., Byron E. and James M.; a daughter, Mary Yazel; three brothers, Joh, Peter and Carl Martin; and a sister, Kathryn McPheron.
She had worked as an operator/supervisor at the Lima Telephone Company, and at S.S. Kressge Company, Shepherd Real Estate, JCPenney Company and Duff Truck Line, also of Lima. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Tim Yazel officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Fort Amanda Cemetery.
