Mildred Hausfeld
Coldwater native Mildred E. Hausfeld, 85, of Dayton, died May 31, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Coldwater to William and Rose (Felhorst) Rosenbeck. She married Marcellus Hausfeld, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Virginia and Robert Hentrich Jr., Fairborn, Joyce and Chuck Schafer, Beavercreek; a daughter, Linda Hausfeld, Dayton; two brothers and their wives, Leo and Vicky Rosenbeck, Coldwater, and Leonard and Esther Rosenbeck, Coldwater; two sisters-in-law, Estelle Rosenbeck, Kettering, and Rosemary Rosenbeck, Coldwater; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Society.
Prayers will be at 10:15 a.m. Monday at the Tobias Funeral Home, Dayton. Funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Dayton. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery.
Calling is from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Adrian Berger
Adrian F. Berger, 90, formerly of 643 Park Blvd., Versailles, died at 2:45 p.m. June 1, 2001 at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born Aug. 26, 1910, in Darke County, to Alfred and Josephine (Chappie) Berger. On June 24, 1953, he married Agnes G. Liette, who died Jan. 1, 2000.
Survivors are numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Edmund J. and Wulber; and two half-sisters, Rosalie Hallotte Rhodes Manix and Marie Hallotte.
He was retired as an assembler at Delco in Dayton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II in the Asiatic Pacific theater, and a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) and the American Legion, all of Versailles.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Leo A. Hoying officiating. Burial is at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, North Star, where full military graveside services will be conducted by the Versailles V.F.W. and American Legion.
Calling is from 4-8 p.m. today at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
Patricia Bettinger
Patricia F. Bettinger, 66, County Road 2, Zanesfield, died at 5:15 p.m. June 3, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 5, 1934, in Cleveland, to Jesse and Grayce (Parker) Dorsey. On Aug. 20, 1955, she married Jerome Bettinger, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, John and Cindy of Ridgeway, and James and Laura of Bellefontaine; three daughters and their husbands, Cathy and Kevin Bell, Mary and Don Jaunzemis, and Barbara and Jon Snyder, all of Zanesfield; three brothers, Bob and Tom Dorsey, both of Cleveland, and Chuck Dorsey, Sidney; a sister and her husband, Linda and Maurice Near, Cleveland; a sister and a sister, Charlotte Leach, Port Jefferson; 14 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
She was a homemaker and secretary and member of the Christian Fellowship Church, Bellefontaine.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Chuck Temple officiating. Burial is at North Greenfield Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Eichholtz Inc. Funeral Homes, Bellefontaine, and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.

Hilma Hatfield
Hilma Garman Hatfield, 87, died May 31, 2001 at a hospital in Henderson, Tenn.
She was born March 31, 1914, in Celina, to William E. and Bertha (Schlosser) Garman. In 1944, she married William Ragsdale Hatfield, who died in 1954.
Survivors are a brother and his wife, William and Sarah Garman, Chesapeake, Va.; and a sister-in-law, Lee Garman, Celina.
Deceased are a brother and his wife, Cletus and Ena Garman, Coldwater, and a brother, Lincoln Garman, Celina, a sister and her husband, Madonna and Olan Stoner of Mercer County, and a sister, Mary Garman, Celina.
She and her husband were owners/managers of drug stores in Florida and Tennessee, where she worked as a bookkeeper. She retired as a sales manager, local manager and district manager of Avon Products Corporation. She was a member and founder of St. Francis of Assissi Catholic Church at Fairfield Glade in Crossville, Tenn., and was a graduate of the former Immaculate Conception High School.
Funeral Mass is 12 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, Celina. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery in Celina.

William Post
William J. Post, 78, 504 Boundary St., Fort Recovery, died at 10:14 a.m. June 2, 2001 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 3, 1922, in Celina, to William H. and Nettie (Beutle) Post. On Nov. 27, 1954, he married Ann Schoenherr, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Allen and Tammy of Fort Recovery; two daughters, Diane and Geri, both of Montezuma; five brothers and their wives, Urban and Opal, Harold and Mary Margaret, Thomas and Ann, and Richard and Rose, all of Celina, and Donald and Mary Ann of Coldwater, a brother, Robert of Celina; a sister and her husband, Alice and Urban Grevenkamp, Celina; a son-in-law, Joe Bidlack, Celina; and two grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Terry Bidlack, and a brother, Ralph.
He was retired from the former Avco New Idea, Coldwater. He was a World War II vetern and a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, American Legion Post #345 and the V.F.W. Post #6515, both of Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Paul Wohlwend officiating. Burial is at the church Cemetery, where graveside military honors will be conducted.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until services Wednesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Paul Schindler
Coldwater native Paul F. Schindler, 90, of Columbus, died June 1, 2001.
He was born on June 27, 1910, to Charles and Mary (Laux) Schindler. He married Mercedes Ballinger, who died in 1988.
Survivors are four sons and their wives, Stephen and Sherry of Lexington, Ky., Jerome and Martha of Columbus, William and Pamela of Enon, and David and Joan of Centerville; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Alfred, Cy, Steve and Ralph, and three sisters, Helen, Agnes and Victoria.
He was a graduate of the Cincinnati School of Pharmacy, and co-owned Schindler's Drug Store, in Celina, for 43 years.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catharine Church, Columbus. A graveside service and burial will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Egan-Ryan Funeral Home, Columbus.

Julia Strete
Julia M. "Judy" Strete, 90, 1024 Mockingbird Lane, Van Wert, died at 1:30 p.m. June 3, 2001 at the Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born September 19, 1910, in Van Wert, to Erman W. and Orah E. (Kerns) Roberts. On Nov. 6, 1932, she married Lawrence Strete, who survives.
She owned and operated Van Wert Poultry and Egg Market and operated Restwell Motel, Van Wert. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Van Wert. She played semi-pro basketball after graduating from high school.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Alspack-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Dr. Edward Jillson officiating. Burial is at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling is from 6-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Agnes Huelsman
Agnes Frances Huelsman, 85, 308 E. Main St., Coldwater, died at 2:35 p.m. June 3, 2001 at her daughter's residence in Lima.
She was born Jan. 17, 1916, in St. Rose, to Mathias and Mary (Otte) Hartings. On June 17, 1941, she married John H. Huelsman, who died April, 1983.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Evelyn and Robert LaRotonda, Lima, four sisters and their husbands, Eric and Terri LaRotonda Leavenworth, Kan., Christa and Mark Schlesselman, Lima, Donald and Vickey LaRotonda, Lima, and Cheryl and Jeremy Sauber, Lima; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers and four sisters.
She was a retired seamstress at the former Sowar's Department Store, Coldwater. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, St. Anns Rosary Alter Sodality, and was a past president of St. Cecilia Knights of St. John Auxiliary.
Funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Kenneth Kaiser
Fort Recovery native Kenneth A. Kaiser, 71, died at 5 a.m. June 2, 2001 in Columbia, Md.
He was born Oct. 19, 1929 in Sharpsburg to Olive and Caroline (Guggenbiller) Kaiser.
Survivors are sons Joe and Paul of Columbia, Md., and Kenneth Jr. of Dayton; daughters Carolyn of Texas and Christine of Columbia, Md.; brother Alfred of Kansas; sisters Anne Ebbing, Coldwater, and Faye Hein, Dayton.
Deceased is a sister, Ruth Hemmelgarn, Dayton.
Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Witzke Funeral Home, Columbia, Md.

Lillie Kincaid
Lillie P. Kincaid, 86, 7754 N. 300 E., Decatur, died at 9:10 p.m. June 4, 2001 at Adams County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 28, 1915 in Adams County, Ind. to Fred J. and Daisy (Galloway) Roe. On Oct. 1, 1940, she married Max (Bud) Kincaid, who died Dec. 15, 1990.
Survivors are a brother, Ernest Roe, rural Decatur, sister Helen Davis, Decatur, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are four brothers, Delmas, Raymond, Clifford, and one in infancy; and a sister, Wilma Hough.
She was a homemaker and attended Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) #6256 Auxiliary, a charter member of Decatur Post #43 American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Adams County Coon Hunters Club.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, the Revs. Sylvester Martin and James Patch officiating. Burial is at Backesto Cemetery, Berne.
