Ronald Schweitzer
Ronald L. "Hiney" Schweitzer, 55, Blackhoof Street, Wapakoneta, died Wednesday evening [June 13, 2001] at his home.
He was born Feb. 11, 1946, in Lima, the son of Edgar and Wilma (Calvert) Schweitzer. His mother survives in Wapakoneta. On Oct. 22, 1972, he married Vickie K. Oakley, who survives.
Other survives are a son and his wife, Derriek A. and Kimberly of Lima; a daughter, Leanna Schweitzer, Wapakoneta; a brother and his wife, Donald and Marta of Wapakoneta; a sister and her husband, Nina and Fred Braun, Wapakoneta; a sister, Jeannine Schweitzer, Toledo; three grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
He was employed at Minster Machine Company in material services. He was a U.S. Marines veteran, serving two years in Vietnam. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8445, Eagles Aerie #691, and the Bowling Association, all of Wapakoneta.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Lynn Fox officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Cemetery, where gravesite military rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 8445.
Calling is from 2-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Ernest Angerman
Ernest H. "Pete" Angerman, 87, Lenexa, Kan., died June 2, 2001 at Menorah Medical Center, Kansas.
He was born Nov. 10, 1913, in Boonville, Mo., to Pete and Stella (Dickson) Angerman. He married LaVera Dickson, who died in 1991.
Survivors are a son and his wife, William L. and Mary, Kansas City; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia A. and Estel Hipp, and Bonnie K. and Terry Davis-Gwin, Kansas City, and a daughter, Mary Lou Menchhofer, Celina; two sisters, Martha Heerman and Mabel Rowles, both of Marshall, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Clara Smith.
He was a manager of Kroger Grocery Co., and later worked for Brookridge Country Club, both of Kansas. He was a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church, Overland Park, Kan.
Funeral services were held June 8. Arrangements were handled by D. W. Newcomer's Sons.

Fred Hullinger
Fred Hullinger, 74, 423 W. South St., St. Marys, died at 8:05 p.m. June 14, 2001 at his home.
He was born June 28, 1926, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Fred and Bessie (Fett) Hullinger. On Aug. 17, 1947, he married Edna Frischkorn, who survives.
Other survivors are four sons and their wives, Fred and Jackie, Tim and Patti, and Steven and Leslie, all of St. Marys, and Michael and Anita of Santa Rosa, Calif., and a son, Joe of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter and her husband, Sharon and Rick Day, St. Marys, a brother and his wife, Jim and Pat of Celina; a sister and her husband, Mary Kay and Jerry Purdy, Coldwater, and two sisters, Carol Bill, Arvada, Colo., and Pat Eblen, Antwerp; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Gail, and two brothers, Frank and Richard.
He was retired as a truck driver for ABF Freight Systems, and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II where he was a member of the Sea Bees. He was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church, St. Marys, the Ohio American Legion, and a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars post 9289, St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ron Spurgeon officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites is at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Contributions can be made to the church building fund or St. Rita's Hospice Program.

Irene Huwer
Irene Mary Huwer, 71, 4171 St. Anthony Road, Celina, died at 1 p.m. June 14, 2001, at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 1, 1929, in Coldwater, to Charles and Bernadine P. (Post) Kahlig. On Dec. 30, 1950, she married Howard Huwer who survives.
Other survivors are four sons and their wives, Robert and Deborah, Coldwater, James and Charlene, Thomas and Lillian, and Joseph and Shona, all of Lumby, British Columbia, and a son, Bill of Lumby, British Columbia; seven daughters and their husbands, Joan and Lenard Foisy, Jean and Alan Goettemoeller, June and Andrew Phannschmidt, Susan and Dennis Major, Mary and Mike Mulholland, and Ann and Bill Verhage, all of Lumby, British Columbia, and Sally and Mike Schmackers, Coldwater; two brothers and their wives, Gregor and Edna Kahlig, Fort Recovery, and Ed and Dolores Kahlig, Coldwater, and two brothers, Raymond and George Kahlig, both of Coldwater; two sisters and their husbands, Mary and Bernard Siefring, Coldwater, and Margaret and Mark Klosterman, Chickasaw, and a sister, Catherine Bruggeman, Coldwater; 52 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a brother, Ralph Kahlig, two sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Irene Kahlig, a brother-in-law, Leroy Bruggeman and three grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

Randall Martin
Randall K. Martin, 43, rural Bryant, Ind., died of cancer at 9:47 a.m. June 15, 2001 at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind.
He was born July 22, 1957, in Adams County, Ind., to Willis L. and Alethea (Bollenbacher) Martin who survive in Bryant, Ind. On March 15, 1980, he married Kimberly Fisher, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Jason, and a daughter, Kara, both at home; three brothers and their wives, Alan and Abbey, and Robert and Beth, all of Decatur, Ind., and Dwight and Jane of Bryant, Ind., and two brothers, Doyle and Bradley, both of Bryant, Ind.
He was part-owner of Martin Farm Inc., Bryant, Ind. and attended Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga. He was a graduate of South Adams High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Downing Funeral Home, Geneva, Ind., the Revs. Mark Strietelmeier and John Moffett officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Geneva, Ind.
Calling is 3-6 and 8-10 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to North East Indiana Hospice or the church.

Cletus Ball
Cletus J. Ball, 90, of rural Spencerville, died 10:05 p.m. June 15, 2001 in the Kettering Memorial Hospital, Kettering.
He was born Sept. 18, 1910, in Putnam County, to Walter V. and Frances R. (Geckle) Ball. On June 20, 1936, he married Twila M. Prine, who died Jan. 4, 1999.
Survivors are three sons and their wives, Clifford C. and Donna of Venedocia; Ronald E. and Barbara of Spencerville, and Michael L. and Beth Ann of Worthington; a daughter and her husband, Noreen M. and David Guiliani, Xenia; two brothers and their wives, Oliver and Dorothy, Fort Jennings, and Paul and Martha, Lima; three sisters, Zella Guthrie, Tiffin, Evelyn Brickner, Ottoville, and Regina Rinehart, Wapakoneta, a sister-in-law, Marcine, Spencerville, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a grandchild, four brothers, Gilbert, Chester, Alva and Mack, and a sister, Gladys Wickens.
He was a life-long farmer and worked for his brother-in-law; Jack Prine Masonry. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Spencerville, and was a former member of the Square Dance Club, Spencerville.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Arnel Barrameda officiating. Burial is at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos.
Calling is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, where a parish wake service will be at 8:30 p.m.
Contributions can be made to the church.

Walter Colvin
Walter S. Colvin, 90, 11511 Dove Lane, St. Marys, died 8:30 p.m. June 16, 2001, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Jan. 10, 1911, in Auglaize County, to Howard and Gertrude (McKee) Colvin. On Oct. 5, 1940, he married Harriett F. Judy, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, David of St. Marys; three daughters and their husbands, Becky and Terry Huston, New Knoxville, Debbie and Gene Knox, St. Marys, and Beth and Bill Skelding, Patalaska; a daughter, Ann of Celina; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister Ruth Wisener, three brothers, Milton, Arthur, Dowl and Fritz, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
He was a 1930 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys and worked as a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. during the Depression.; He retired as a scales mechanic from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., St. Marys; he helped construct the physical plant.
He was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys, where he was on the board of trustees and was a member of its Homemakers Sunday School class. He was also a member of the United Methodist Heritage Campers, and had been involved for many years in the leadership of Boy Scouts of America.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the church, the Rev. David Woodyard officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, and one hour before the funeral at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church's maintenance fund.

Violet Eschmeyer
Violet Marie Eschmeyer, 75, 18722 Roettger Road, New Knoxville, died at 9 a.m. June 16, 2001 at her residence.
She was born Oct. 16, 1926, to Forrest A. and Violet Marie (Brotherwood) Thomas. On Sept. 13, 1947, she married Eldred L. Eschmeyer, who died May 20, 1997.
Survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Barbara and William Shelby of Sunbury, and Lynn and Ron Schweitzer of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Susan Warner, Newark; a son and his wife, Bruce and Ellen of New Knoxville; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Forrest Thomas.
She was a registered nurse and retired from Heritage Manor, Minster. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville.
Contributions can be made to the Romania Mission of the church.

Alena Long
Alena M. Long, 95, 13-B Defiance Commons, Wapakoneta, died at 6:55 p.m. June 15, 2001 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Dec. 14, 1905, in Rhine, Shelby County, to Andrew H. and Ida M. (Greve) Borges. On Aug. 24, 1926, she married Carl S. Long, who died March 14, 1975.
Survivors are a son, Gerald A. of Wapakoneta; two daughters and their husbands, Ida Lou and Francis Harrod, Wapakoneta, and Phyllis and LeRoy Kessen, Coldwater; a daughter, Mary Ann Garman, Chickasaw; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Long, Rossburg; a brother and his wife, Edwin and Marry Ellen Borgee, Wapakoneta; two sisters-in-law, Electa Borges, St. Marys, and Betty Borges, Lima; 21 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-granchildren.
Deceased are three sons, Harold, Delbert and Charles, four brothers, Richard, Raymond, Cletus, and Robert Borges, and a sister, Virginia Cook, and a granddaughter.
She was a homemaker, and an employee of the former St. Joseph School cafeteria. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, a former member of Catholic Ladies of St. Joseph, and the Knights of Columbus Council 1272 Auziliary, all of Wapakoneta. She was the last surviving charter member of Eagles Lodge 691 Auxiliary, Wapakoneta.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the church, the Rev. Peter Chiodo officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
Eagles Auxiliary Service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and Christian Prayer Service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, both at the funeral home.

Andrew Luthman
Andrew B. Luthman, 77, 5688 Seigrist-Jutte Road, Celina, died 7:50 p.m. June 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 17, 1923, in Minster, to Julius and Dorothy (Schaaf) Luthman. On April 12, 1947, he married Luella Schwieterman, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Charles and Paula of Celina, and Nicholas and Pam of Columbus; a son, Thomas of Cicero, Ind.; a daughter and her husband, Marilyn and Dan Taylor, Fort Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Shirley of Celina and Joanne of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister and her husband, Edna and Gilbert Muhlenkamp, Neptune; a sister, Mildred Niekamp, Coldwater; 9 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Deceased is a brother-in-law, Adrian Niekamp.
He was retired from the former New Idea, Coldwater, and was a farmer. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Carthagena, the St. Lawrence Men's Society, and a former member of the church choir. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during World War II, a member of Coldwater American Legion Post 470, Coldwater, Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) Post 5135, Coldwater Fraternal Order of Eagles 3025, and was leader of the Andy Luthman Family Band.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the church, the Revs. David Hoying and Mark Hoying. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
