Connor Otting
Connor Robert Otting, 8-hour-old son of Robert and Gail (Larger) Otting, 23 Elk Drive, New Bremen, died at 11:15 p.m. Jan. 6, 2002 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
One of triplet boys born earlier in the day at the Dayton hospital, he is survived by two brothers, Ethan Thomas and Isaiah Michael; grandparents, Richard and Marilyn Larger, Minster, and Robert and Diane Otting, Maria Stein; great-grandparents, Elmer and Dorothy Otting and Lucille Dwenger, all of Minster, and Roger and Dolores Schwieterman, Maria Stein.
Private family services are 3 p.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, has charge of arrangements.
Agnes Pester
Agnes C. Pester, 91, Hauss Road, Wapakoneta, died at 3:05 a.m. Jan. 9, 2002 at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta.
She was born Nov. 19, 1910, in Clay Township, Auglaize County, to John and Agnes (Shaffer) Frideger. On Oct. 22, 1937, she married Wilbert C. Pester and he died March 14, 1974.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Cora and Louis Kettler, Wapakoneta; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Deceased are two sons, John Jacob and Carl Frederick; an infant brother and two sisters, Esther Frideger and Eunice Reinhart.
She was a homemaker and a 1929 graduate of the former Blume High School.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis, the Rev. Kieran Darcy officiating.
There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. There will be no visitation.

Opal Handley
Opal Handley, 87, of Bedford Heights, formerly of 810 South St., Celina, died at 7:55 p.m. Jan. 8, 2002 at Beford University Hospital, Beford.
She was born Sept. 16, 1914, in Circleville, to Charles A. and Luella (Cowell) Chaney. On Feb. 28, 1940, she married Lewis W. Handley and he died May 24, 1986.
Surviving are a son, Danny of Bedford Heights; three foster sons and their wives, Richard and Peggy Chaney, Celina, Steve and Renee Studer, Tennessee, and Dennis and Annette Studer, Florida; three foster sons, Richard Studer, Lima, Ronald Studer, Convoy, and James Studer, Celina; three foster daughters, Alice Joyce Walters Reel, Warren, Connie Chaney Howard, Convoy, and Lori Reise, Celina; a sister and her husband, Thomas and Madonna Percy, Barstow, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased are four brothers, Harrold, Norman, Orby and Willard Chaney, and three sisters, Dorothy Koeppel, Betty Jane Chaney and Freda Regedanz.
She was a homemaker.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Katie Hayes officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 4-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Genevieve Bonifield
Genevieve V. Bonifield, 84, 14118 Ohio 118, New Weston, died Jan. 10, 2002 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.
She was born May 3, 1917, in Mercer County. Her husband, Wayne H. Bonifield, died Nov. 19, 1990.
Surviving are two sons, Clayton Burd, New Weston, and Harry Burd, St. Marys; a daughter, Judy A. Murphy, Duluth, Ga.; five grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
A sister is deceased.
She retired as a nurse's aide at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Oliver Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Mary Sandberg officiating. Burial will be in Ellis Cemetery, Monte-zuma.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Warren Oellerman
Warren E. "Gene" Oellerman, 80, 206 E. State St., Botkins, died at 3:10 a.m. Jan. 11, 2002 at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home, Wapak-oneta.
He was born June 8, 1921, in Kettlersville, Shelby County, to William and Alvina (Langebrock) Oellerman. On April 14, 1956, he married Bessie Rose Jackson who survives.
Other survivors are three sons and their wives, Bill and Bev, John and Judy and Ed and Scotti, all of Botkins; three daughters and their husbands, Ruth and Clarence Metz Jr., and Sara and Barry Arnold, all of Botkins, and Martha and Doug Stetler, St. Marys; and 15 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Richard, and a sister, Marjorie.
He was retired after 41 years in the quality control department at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys. He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Church, Botkins. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Heiland Post #446, Anna.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Alan R. Swartz officiating. Burial is at Schwaberow Cemetery near Kettlersville.

Jo Ann Westerheide
Jo Ann Westerheide, 69, 3931 Ohio 119, Minster, died at 4:15 a.m. [Jan. 13, 2002] at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
She was born May 19, 1932, in Sidney, to Alfred and Leona (Vallo) Friemering. On Jan. 5, 1952, she married LeRoy H. Westerheide and he survives.
Also surviving are three sons and their wives, Keith and Betty of Minster, Mark and Deb of Fort Loramie, and Brian and Shel of Minster; two daughters and their husbands, Sandra and Craig Weaver, Waite Hills, and Kathleen and Tim McGuire, Kingsford, Mich., and a daughter, Kristine Lowery, Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters and their husbands, Kathleen and Urban Bensman and Joyce and Frank Heitkamp, and a sister, Lois Heyne, all of Minster; and 12 grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Scott, and an infant brother.
She retired as a secretary/bookkeeper at Progress Tool, Minster. A 1950 graduate of Minster High School, she was the school's first homecoming queen. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391 and the Tuesday Night Bowling League, all of Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. David Heinl and Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
