William Sudhoff
William R. Sudhoff, 35, of Indianapolis, Ind., died Aug. 2, 2002, in Indianapolis, Ind. His death is being investigated by the Marion County, Ind. coroner.
He was born Jan. 22, 1967, in Portland, Ind., to James and Patricia Sudhoff. He married Sue A. Wieszczecinski and she survives.
Also surviving are a brother and his wife, Daniel J. and Larisa, a sister, Cynthia M. Sudhoff; and his grandmother, Alfrieda Sanning. The funeral home did not list the hometowns of the survivors.
He had been employed as a financial analyst at Hoosier Energy for the past two years. He received a bachelor's degree in business from Indiana University and a master's degree in business administration from Kelly School of Business. He was a member of St. Monica Roman Catholic Church, Indianapolis, the Indiana University Alumnae Association and the Spiked Punch Volleyball Team.
Funeral Mass is noon Tuesday at the church. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bryant, Ind.
Calling is 5-9 p.m. today at Washington Park North Mortuary, Indianapolis, and noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, Ind.

Ronald Thees
Ronald L. Thees, 60, 7993 Weitz Road, Celina, died Aug. 3, 2002, at University Hospital, Columbus. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Celina, to Myron and Ruth (Christian) Thees. On July 3, 1965, he married Darlene Bruns and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Scott of Celina; a daughter and her husband, Stacey and Jeff Brunswick, Celina; three brothers and their wives, Donald and Patty, Robert and Barb and John and Carol, all of Celina; a sister and her husband, Mildred and Paul Crouch, and a sister, Margy Miller, all of Celina; his mother-in-law, Viola Bruns, Celina; and four grandchildren.
He was co-owner of Camelot Manufacturing in Coldwater. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Chapter 1473, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1291, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210. He had served with the Ohio National Guard.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tom Christen officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

George Tiller
George W. "Will" Tiller, 62, 202 Taffy Court, Union City, died Aug. 1, 2002, at Veterans Hospital in Dayton.
He was born Dec. 17, 1939, in Council, Va., to George W. and Gracie (Yates) Tiller. His second wife, Lois, died in 1999. On April 27, 2002, he married Patricia J. Landers and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Diane and Gary Miller, Greenwood, Ind., and Mindy and James Stephenson, Portland, Ind., and a daughter, Cathy of Richmond, Ind.; a stepson, Kyle Sanders, Decatur, Ind.; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Terri Leakeas, Birmingham, Ala., and Bethany and Adam Roobe, Sartell, Minn., and four stepdaughters, Sherri Bradbury, Union City, Ind., Kelly Hylton, Winchester, Ind., Crystle Beltler, Indianapolis, Ind., and Amie Beltler, Decatur; and 12 grandchildren.
Other survivors include four brothers and their wives, Jim and Ruby of Portland, Jerry and Linda and Dennis and Phyllis, all of Winchester, and Tom and Tina of Texas, and one brother, Bill of Union City; and two sisters, Onie Fisher, Washington, and Burble Runyons, Kentucky.
Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.
He had worked at Tyson Mexican Original in Portland for three years. A U.S. Army veteran, he attended Triumphant Christian Center, Greenville.
Services are noon Wednesday at the Portland Chapel of Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, the Rev. Larry Supinger officiating. Burial will follow at Buena Vista Cemetery in Union Port, Ind.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Margaret Travis
Margaret J. Travis, 90, who had resided in Celina until moving to Dayton approximately one month ago, died July 31, 2002, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
She was born Aug. 26, 1911, in Durnand, Mich., to Harry W. and Mary Ann (Richardson) Meek. Her husband, Clyde E. Travis died Dec. 18, 1978.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Richard W. and Jane Owens, Seminole, Fla.; a daughter and her husband, Rachel L. and Michael Sammons, Dayton; three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, George William Owens; four brothers, Marvin George Meek, Dudley Otis Meek, Harry Wayne Meek and Frank Richardson Meek and a sister, Jane Meek.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, First Families of Ohio, First Settlers of Washington County, Pa., Colonial Dames of XVII Century, Magna Carta Dames, Colonial Society of Americans of Royal Descent, the Plantagenet Society and the Trumbull County chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society.
Services are 8 p.m. today at Magetti Gavin Funeral Home, Dayton, the Rev. Michael Holloran officiating. Graveside services are noon Tuesday at Glen Wood Cemetery, Napoleon.

Mary Grashel
Former Mercer County resident Mary C. Grashel, 84, of Springfield, died Aug. 3 at Community Hospital, Springfield.
She was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Mercer County, to Walter and Myrtle (Lampy) Skinner. Her husband, Edward Grashel, is deceased.
Surviving are a stepson and his wife, Bob and Lois Grashel, Springfield; a sister, Martha Jane McGee, St. Marys; and two stepgrandchildren.
A brother, Harold Skinner, and two sisters, Mamie Taylor and Dorothy McGillvary, are deceased.
A 1934 graduate of the former Mendon Union High School, she opened Top Hat Restaurant in Springfield. She also worked in the Springfield offices of Shaffer's Bakery for 29 years.
Services were to be held in Springfield.
Marcella Langenkamp
Marcella M. Langenkamp, 89, 177 Church St., Osgood, died at 12:55 p.m. Aug. 5, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 28, 1913, in Fort Loramie, to Bernard and Anna (Rosengarten) Gerling. On May 24, 1933, she married Hugo B. Langenkamp and he died March 18, 1972.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Carl and Joan of Yorkshire, John and Marge of Rockford and Richard and Mary Lou of New Bern; five daughters and their husbands, Marianne and Maurice Brunswick, Osgood, Jean and Gordon Hoffman, Washington, N.C., Edna and Fred Bruns, Troy, Diane and Bill Alexander, New Carlisle, and Eileen and Doug Floan, Versailles, and a daughter, Ruth Oldiges, Piqua; 28 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother and his wife, Orville and Cookie Gerling of Florida; a sister and her husband, Dorothy and Earl Mumaw, Versailles, and a sister, Vi Hodge of Florida.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Chuck Oldiges; two brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
She was a housewife and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality, both of Osgood, and the Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Donna Starr
Donna L. Starr, 56, 1114 Grand Ave., Celina, died at 1:35 a.m. Aug. 5, 2002, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born May 27, 1946, in Logan, W. Va., to Linzie and Faye (Maynard) Frazier. Her mother survives in Celina. On April 10, 1965, she married Thurman Starr and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Angel and Jack Earl, Willshire, and Misti and Dewey Wagner, Celina, and a daughter, Krista Rutter, also of Celina; a brother and his wife, Linzie Keith and Joann Frazier, Celina, and a brother, Roger Frazier, Orobille, Calif.; two sisters and their husbands, Michelle and Larry Braun, Celina, and Christi and Lloyd Flynn, Fort Recovery; and nine grandchildren.
A son, Douglas Scott, and a sister, Sue Frazier, are deceased.
She was employed as bookkeeper at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, Celina.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Clara Belle Howell
Clara Belle Howell, 88, of Rockford, died at 2:50 p.m. Aug. 5, 2002, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Ohio City, to Carl and Florence (Foor) Stover. Her first husband, Eugene McCoy, died in 1941. On Dec. 24, 1942, she married Russell Howell and he died May 11, 2000.
Surviving are four sons and their wives, Joe Allen and Dee and Thomas G. and Eleanor, all of Convoy, Ralph F. and Betty of Cape Coral, Fla., and Larry and Ardith of Rockford; two brothers and their wives, D.W. and Ruth Stover, Celina, and Max R. and Betty Stover, Fairfield; a brother-in-law, F. William Burtchin, Lima; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three sisters, E. Lucille Bayles, Kathryn Irene Hill and Joan E. Burtchin, and two brothers-in-law, Francis Bayles and Leroy J. Hill.
She was a homemaker and a member of Rockford Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star. She was a past member of the Life Care Committee at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney and had served on the State Board of Trustees for Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services until 1987.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Karen Long officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Friday.

Austin Remaklus
Austin N. Remaklus, 85, of Coldwater, died at 11:10 a.m. Aug. 6, 2002, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Bryant, Ind., to Peter and Calistine (Wagner) Remaklus. On Sept. 19, 1942, he married Loretta Schulte and she survives.
Also surviving are a son and his wife, Jim and Alice of Coldwater; five daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Marvin Post, Shirley and George Koesters and Joan and Maurice Voskuhl, all of Coldwater, Sue and Dick Muhlenkamp, St. Anthony, and Betty and Ernie Schoenlein, Portland, Ind., and a daughter, Ginny of Coldwater; three sisters, Leora Laux, Arcadia, Ind., Iona Gehle, Celina, and Aletha Johnston, Portland; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
A great-grandson is deceased.
He retired from New Idea in Coldwater after 45 years of service. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, all of Coldwater. He also was a former member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a social member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Alfred Rose
Alfred L. Rose, 64, 4507 Coldwater Creek Road, Coldwater, died at 4:17 p.m. Aug. 6, 2002, at Community Hospital, Coldwater. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Aug. 15, 1937, in St. Henry, to Roman and Marie (Leistenschneider) Rose. On Oct. 8, 1960, he married Marjorie Niekamp and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter and her husband, Carolyn and Scott Walters, Oxford, and a daughter, Teresa Fark, New Bremen; a daughter-in-law and her husband, Bridget and Lenny Muhlenkamp, Trinity, Ind.; five brothers and their wives, Paul and Margaret of Dayton, Luke and Edna of Fort Recovery, Carl and Lucy of Celina, Joe and Donna of Coldwater, and Fred and Irene of St. Henry; four sisters and their husbands, Berdella and Leonard Hemmelgarn, St. Henry, Regina and Elmer Hemmelgarn, Russia, Eleanor and John Hake, Eaton, and Rita and John Schmitmeyer, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Junita Rose, Dayton; and four grandchildren.
A son, Dale, and a brother, Herman, are deceased.
He was employed at Crown Equipment, New Bremen. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He was a former member of the Coldwater Board of Education.
