Florence Clark
Florence E. Clark, 97, formerly of Fort recovery, died at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 29, 2003 at the Gardens at St. Henry.
She was born July 4, 1906, in Fort Recovery, to Michael and Catherine Green Breymaier. On Sept. 30, 1934, she married George Clark, and he died April 10, 1987.
The last of her immediate family, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Manuel, Herbert, David, Lawrence and William; and six sisters, Hilda Foster, Emma Coder, Clara Smith, Marie Griesinger, Freida Meiring and Alice Huelsman.
She had worked as a grocery clerk in Fort recovery.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Recovery, the Rev. Tamara Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Brockman & Brockman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Esther Bollenbacher
Esther L. Bollenbacher, 90, 505 Buckeye St., Celina, died at 10:15 p.m. Aug. 27, 2003, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1912, in Rockford, to Walter and Dencie Smalley Nutt. On Aug. 15, 1936, she married Theodore Bollenbacher who is deceased.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Peggy) of Celina; a daughter, Sara (John) Beggs, Fairfield, Conn.; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Oliver Nutt, and four sisters, Florence Turner, Ruby Brookhart, Dorothy Miller and Wanda Hubley.
She retired as a teacher at Celina East Elementary School. She was a graduate of Celina High School and Miami University, Oxford, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kathleen Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery.
Calling is after 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Marvin Roettger
Marvin F. Roettger, 89, 17088 Kettlersville Road, Botkins, died at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 28, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born June 17, 1914, in Shelby County, to LeRoy W. and Clara E. Metz Roettger. On Sept. 8, 1940, he married Viola M. Arnett who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Dennis (Judy) of Port Clinton; a daughter, Carolyn (David) Jensvold, Kettlersville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was the founder and retired president of Roettger Hardwood Co. in Kettlersville and former clerk of the Van Buren Township Trustees. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Kettlersville, where he had served as elder and deacon, the Wally Byam Caravan Club and the Kettlersville Senior Citizens.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen.

Robert Braden
Robert Arden "Mr. B" or "RAB" Braden, 86, 307 Kuck St., New Knoxville, died Aug. 27, 2003, at Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, St. Marys.
He was born April 27, 1917, in Wellsburg, W. Va., to Frances Ethel and John Ludwig Braden. On June 26, 1948, he married Joyce Lucille Abell who is deceased.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Jr. (Drena) of Oberlin, Chuck (Judy) of New Knoxville, and Jon of Wapakoneta; three daughters, Susan Day, Charlotte, N.C., Debra Neal, Charleston, S.C., and Beth of New Knoxville; a twin sister, Ellen Wilson, Mentor; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, James, Ralph, Gerald and Charles, are deceased.
A teacher and coach for 38 years, he worked at school districts in McComb, Rawson, Vermilion, Clyde and Ashtabula. His coaching career included football, basketball, track and wrestling, with stints as junior high football coach at Minster and New Bremen and track coach at New Knoxville. He was a 1941 graduate of Findlay College and had earned a master's degree from Case Western Reserve University.
Private services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville, the Rev. Mitch Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Helen Crist
Fort Recovery native Helen M. Crist, 87, 2003 Yale Ave., Bradenton, Fla., died at 4:15 p.m. Aug. 26, 2003, at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton.
She was born Feb. 8, 1916, in Fort Recovery, to Frank and Bernadine Hornick Barrenbrugge. On June 8, 1937, she married James F. Crist who died Dec. 14, 1982.
Surviving are a son, James of Sarasota, Fla.; three daughters, Marilyn (James) Holcomb, Hixton, Tenn., Jo Ann (Nathan) Kubes, Sarasota, and Vicki (Marlan) Anderson, Bradenton; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Charles Barrenbrugge, and a sister, Agnes Denney.
She was the manager of Broadway Mobile Home Court and a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, both of Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Paul Wohlwend officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Rev. John Klopke
The Rev. John Klopke, a resident of St. Charles Center, Carthagena, died there Aug. 26, 2003.
He was a member of the Pacific Province of the Precious Blood Missionaries.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Charles with burial to follow at St. Charles Seminary.
Calling is after 1 p.m. Monday at St. Charles, where a vigil service will be at 7 p.m.
Pauline LoBianco
Pauline N. LoBianco, 63, East Vine Street, Coldwater, died today, Aug. 28, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Huttonsville, W. Va., to Paul J. and Carrie McClure Marks. On Oct. 14, 1961, she married Vincent LoBianco who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Janice (Robert) Clements, Illinois, and Catherine (Fred) Behm, Coldwater; a sister, Nellie Seese, West Virginia; a brother-in-law, Nick LoBianco, Coldwater; three sisters-in-law, Gay (Earl) Giere, Coldwater, Alba (Pete) Capozzi, New York, and Mary (Carman) Pascuzzo, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, George and Roy; a brother-in-law, Ross Seese; and a sister-in-law, Elaine LoBianco.
She had been a bus driver with Coldwater Exempted Village Schools. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Glen Bolenbaugh
Glen W. Bolenbaugh, 69, of Ohio City, died at 12:25 p.m. Aug. 23, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Ohio City, to Clarence B. and Rea A. Taylor Bolenbaugh. On June 19, 1995, he married Joyce B. Bell who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Linda (Bill) Germann, Celina; a stepson, David Stanley, Macon, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Peggy (George) Lines, Lima; a brother, Robert (Lois) of Ohio City; two sisters, Betty Archer, Van Wert, and Mary Bigham, Ohio City; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A son, Glen Jr., is deceased.
He retired from Borden Cheese Company after 31 years of service. A U.S. Army veteran, he attended the Ohio City Church of God and was a member of the American Legion Post, also of Ohio City.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Matt Braun officiating. Private burial with military rites will be held at a later date.
Calling is after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Dylan Henning
Dylan Gene Henning, infant son of Emily Jo Lhamon and Derek Gene Henning of St. Marys, was stillborn Aug. 21, 2003, at a residence in Cincinnati.
Surviving with the parents are the grandparents, Tim Lhamon, Terrie (Neil) Rohrbach and Don (Teresa) Henning, all of St. Marys; and the great-grandparents, Bud and Eileen Wright, New Knoxville, and Dean and Norma Lhamon, Paul and LouAnn Henning, Joseph Schaaf, Victoria Rohrbach and Jerry McEldowney, all of St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Patricia Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.

Richard Neely
Richard P. Neely, 79, formerly of 506 Maplewood Drive, Celina, died at 9:45 a.m. Aug. 25, 2003, at Otterbein Retirement Community, St. Marys.
He was born March 10, 1924, in Lima, to Ray and Martha Lampert Neely. On April 29, 1943, he married Miriam Neely who survives at Otterbein.
Also surviving are a son, Steven (Maureen) of Celina; four grandsons and a great-grandson.
A brother, Ralph, is deceased.
A pharmacist, he owned and operated Neely's Drug Store in St. Marys for 34 years. He received a bachelor of science degree from Ohio Northern University, Ada, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, Rotary International, Outing Club (Idlewild), American Legion Post 323 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, all of St. Marys; Northmoor Country Club, Mercer County; and Spanish Wells Country Club, Bonita Springs, Fla. He served on the Bank One of Ohio board of directors and was past president of the Northwest Ohio Pharmaceutical Association.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ed Groff officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Rosemary Piper
Rosemary Piper, 81, 800 Elm St., Celina, died at 11:58 p.m. Aug. 22, 2003, at The Gardens at Celina.
She was born June 22, 1922, in Mercer County, to William H. and Frieda Becker Byer. On July 26, 1941, she married Walter R. Piper who died Jan. 8, 1994.
Surviving are three daughters, Frieda Ann (Richard) Neff, Coldwater, Mich., Rita (Steve) Phillips and Nancy Williamson, all of Celina; a brother, William Dean (Jane) Byer, Coldwater; six grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, James David; a daughter, Rebecca Jane; and a brother, Ken Byer.
She retired as a printing press operator at Reynolds & Reynolds after 29 years of service. She was a 1941 graduate of Rockford High School and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens.
