Austin Harrison Sr.
Austin W. "Pete" Harrison Sr., 79, of Dayton, died Sept. 25, 2000 at Maria Joseph Living Care Center in Dayton.
He was born Oct. 1, 1920, in Wapakoneta, to William Henry and Grace (Meyers) Harrison. His wife, Louise Rudolph, who died Dec. 26, 1998.
Survivors area daughter and her husband, Barbara and Peter Rush, Columbus, and a daughter, Mary of Greenville; two sons and their wives, Austin Jr. and Karen of Dayton, and Anthony and Lisa of Englewood, and a son, William of Celina; a brother, David of Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Harold, Harvey and Ernie.
He was retired from Gem City Engineering, and had been employed at East Dayton Tool and Die.
Funeral Mass is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Dayton. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery.
Calling is 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a prayer service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Gregory Telljohn
Gregory J.G. Telljohn, 37, died of unknown causes Sept. 21, 2000 at his Lucy Street, Wapakoneta, residence. Cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy performed in Toledo.
He was born June 5, 1963, in Woodland Hills, Calif., to Jeff and Georgia (Scherkenbach) Telljohn. His father survives in Wapakoneta.
Other survivors include a brother and his wife, Matt and Shannon of Mesa, Ariz.; and a paternal grandfather, James Hugo of Arizona.
Deceased is his mother.
He was self-employed as a computer software engineer and worked as a production engineer designing printed circuit boards. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving as an electrician mate on the U.S.S. Minneapolis-St. Paul nuclear sub. He attended Pierce College in Los Angeles, and California State University, Northridge, Calif.
A memorial service is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wapakoneta, the Rev. John E. Manzo officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Henry Beckman
Henry R. Beckman, 76, 7 Melcher St., Minster, died at 11:38 p.m. Sept. 25, 2000 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
He was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Minster, to Anton and Cecelia (Bensman) Beckman. On Oct. 25, 1947, he married Dorothy Bergman, who is deceased.
Other survivors are a daughter and her husband, Linda and Roger Knost, Dallas, Texas; three sons and their wives, Tony and Sue of Minster, Jim and Vicki of St. Marys, and Mike and Diana of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Lucille Kelleher, Centerville, and Virginia Harrell, Tucson, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Jeanette of Minster; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Karen, and two brothers.
He was retired from Midmark Corp. in Versailles, and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran from World War II, serving in the South Pacific where he earned a Purple Heart. He was a member of St. Augustine Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 1391, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, all of Minster, and Disabled American Veterans of St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-9:30 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Riley Broering
Riley Joseph Broering, son of Daniel and Cynthia (Bruns) Broering, 550 S. Fourth St., Coldwater, was stillborn at 4:52 p.m. Sept. 25, 2000 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
In addition to his parents, survivors include a brother, Samuel, at home; grandparents, Ralph and Roselyn Bruns, St. Henry, and Don and Jan Broering, Philothea; and great-grandparents, Clete and Evelyn Woeste, St. Rose, and Stella Broering, Coldwater.
Deceased is a brother Charles.
The family are members of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Graveside services are 2:30 p.m. today at St. Sebastian Cemetery, the Rev. Tom Mannebach officiating.

James Hart
Former Fort Recovery resident James A. Hart, 66, 110 Edgebrook Drive, Summerville, S.C., died Sept. 25, 2000 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, S.C.
He was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Fort Recovery, to Albert and Marceal (Arnold) Hart.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Jody and Ron Yaney, Celina, and a daughter, Jacy of Coldwater; three sons and their wives, James and Dawn of New Weston, Joseph and Brenda of Celina, and John and Vera of Fort Recovery, and a son, Jeffrey of Miamisburg; three sisters, Frances Hines, Troy, Margaret Bruner, St. Marys, and Shirley Simon, Piqua; a brother, John of Portland, Ind.; 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a daughter, Jessica, two brothers, Ronnie and Marvin, and a sister, Anna.
He was a heavy equipment operator for O.L. Thompson Construction Co., Charleston, S.C.
Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Cemetery in Sharpsburg, the Rev. Matt Jozefiak officiating.

Kathryn Moore
Kathryn E. Moore, 84, died at 12:05 a.m. Sept. 27, 2000 at her residence at 307 Victoria Drive, Greenville.
She was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Montezuma, to Noah and Ethel (Wills) Stafford. On April 18, 1937, she married Edwin J. Moore, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Sally S. and Richard Drew, Greenville, and Marsha L. and Philip D. Wysong, Winchester, Ind.; a brother-in-law, Harold Martens, Celina; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Stafford, Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Charles Stafford, two sisters, Nellie Zender and Marcella Martens, an infant sister and a brother-in-law, Tom Zender.
She was a homemaker and co-owned and operated the Pikeville Grain Co. as bookkeeper with her husband. She was a member of East Main Street Church of Christ, Greenville.
Services will be held at the family's convenience at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. James Morehouse officiating. Burial is at Sunset Memory Gardens, Greenville.

Lillian Stoll
Lillian Stoll, 95, died at 5:42 a.m. Sept. 27, 2000 at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, where she was a resident.
She was born June 14, 1905, in Defiance, to George and Nora (Speiser) Stoll.
Survivors include two cousins and their husbands.
She was a nurse, serving at a number of hospitals and retiring from Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. She served as its administrator, helped organize the hospital guilds, organized the Gray Ladies through the Red Cross, worked with the township trustees and board of governors to make necessary purchases. She performed over 1,000 physicals for insurance companies. She was the recipient of Woman of the Year award from Beta Signa Phi, St. Marys Senior Citizens and the Business and Professional Women. She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church and its Ruth Esther Circle, St. Marys, Soroptimist Clubs in Fremont and St. Marys, and Ohio Hospital Association. She was a graduate of Defiance College and Saint Vincent School of Nursing in Toledo.
Services are 4 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. David Woodyard officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
Calling is 7-9 p.m. Thursday and after 2 p.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Arthur Bensman
Arthur J. Bensman, 83, 105 N. Garfield St., Minster, died at 1:55 p.m. Sept. 28, 2000 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.
He was born April 26, 1917, in St. Marys, to Frank and Anna (Duwel) Bensman. On May 3, 1941, he married Henrietta Poeppelman, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons and their wives, Ronald and Norma of New Bremen, Orville and Ruth of Sidney, and David and Margie of Minster; two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and Joseph Moore, Miamisburg, and Jane and Walter Homan, Findlay; a half-brother and his wife, Werner and Eulita Bensman, St. Patrick; a half-sister, Dorothy Bergman, McCartyville; a stepbrother, Jerome Seigrist, St. Patrick; 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, a half-sister and a grandchild.
He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Fraternal Order of Eagles 1391, all of Minster, and St. Augustine Orphan Society.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Thomas Didier
Former Celina resident Thomas Didier, 52, died following a lengthy illness Sept. 23, 2000 at the VA Medical Hospital in Dayton.
He was born May 1, 1948, in Piqua, to Leonard and Viola (Neff) Didier.
Survivors include two brothers and three sisters.
Deceased are his parents.
He was formerly employed at Buckeye Feeds in Versailles, and was a member of the American Legion, Celina.
Private services were held Thursday at the Medical Center's Chapel in Dayton.
Burial was at National Cemetery in the VA Medical Center in Dayton.
Forrest Patterson
Forrest H. Patterson, 82, Defiance Commons, Apartment 13-A, died at 10:23 a.m. Sept. 29, 2000, at Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born July 1, 1918, in Breckinridge, Mich., to John and Stella "Penny" Patterson. On March 13, 1953, he married Patricia Ann Cable, who survives at the residence.
Other survivors are six children and their spouses, Henry and Marie, Sidney; Tony and Starlene Mallory, Sidney; Ken and Kathy, Buena Vista, Calif.; Randy and Terri Tomberlin and Brian and Teresa, St. Marys, and Ronnie and Jeannie Henry, Irvine, Texas, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Sara Miller and Tenia Sanders, a brother, Sam, and a granddaughter.
He was retired from Parker-Hannifin Corp., in St. Marys and was a veteran of the Ohio Defense Corps.
Graveside funeral services are 12 p.m. Monday at Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford, Elder Marlene Ashbaugh officiating.
