Alvina Fullenkamp
Alvina Fullenkamp, 86, 812 Westview Drive, Coldwater, died at 4:40 p.m. Sept. 29, 2002, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born May 27, 1916, in St. Peter, to Bernard and Elizabeth (Homan) Jutte. On June 18, 1938, she married Werner Fullenkamp who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Wayne and Rosie, and Mike and Theresa, all of Fort Recovery; three daughters and their husbands, Elaine and LaVern Fortkamp, Vandalia, Alice and Bernard Wuebker, Coldwater, and Edna and Gary Dietz, Celina; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Ron Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Richard Robinson
Richard Otto Robinson Sr., 76, 726 Lake Ave., St. Marys, died at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 27, 2002, at his home.
He was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Delphos, to Jesse and Rose (Dolt) Robinson. He married Frances Brinkman and she died March 24, 1984. He then married Hazel Raymond who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Richard and Karen, and Eric and Heidi, all of Delphos; four daughters and their husbands, Beverly and Tony Phillips, Wapakoneta, Patricia and Ira Connell, Jacksonville, Fla., and Kathleen and Tim Keiber, and Sandra and Larry Thobe, all of St. Marys; a stepson and his wife, Tim and Sheri Raymond, Coldwater; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Patti and Jim Eyink, Coldwater, and Jennifer and Bruce Monnin, Russia; a brother, Donald Robinson, Delphos; a sister, Florence Aldrich, Toledo; 25 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Melvin, Alvin and John.
He was a painter at Fruehauf Corporation where he retired after more than 40 years, and later worked as a security guard at Roundy's of Lima. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. John Spyker officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mary Scott
Former Coldwater resident Mary D. Scott, 49, of Burlington, Iowa, died Sept. 25, 2003, at Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, Iowa. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born June 23, 1954, in Columbus, to Adrian Charles and Patricia Hart DeBrosse. Her mother survives in Coldwater. On Sept. 4, 1976, she married Blake Scott who survives.
Also surviving are three brothers, Charles DeBrosse, Pennsylvania, John DeBrosse, Chillicothe, and Jerry DeBrosse, Fishers, Ind.
She was valedictorian of the Coldwater High School Class of 1972. She was a 1975 graduate of Ohio State University and a 1978 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel, Burlington, the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating.
Calling is after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel with the family receiving friends from 6-7:30 p.m.

Richard Cook
Richard L. Cook, 73, 17331 Erastus-Durbin Road, Celina, died at 6:10 p.m. Sept. 27, 2003, in Celina at the home of his daughter.
He was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Piqua, to Louis and Florence Motter Cook. On June 10,1948, he married Rosemary Fetters who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Dale of Coldwater; a daughter, Dixie (Dave) Bowers, Celina; three sisters, Ruth Russell, Troy, and Jeanette Russell and Naomi Mayer, both of Piqua; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Walter and Carl Cook; a sister, Betty Dyson; and a half brother, John Leibrick.
He retired from the former Huffy Corp. of Celina where he worked in quality control. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the American Legion post 210 and Church of the Nazarene, both of Celina.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Larry Hamilton officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Clem Dues
Clem J. Dues, 92, formerly of Woodview Drive, Coldwater, died at 10:35 p.m. Sept. 26, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born Jan. 8, 1911, in Philothea, to George and Rose Homan Dues. On May 8, 1935, he married Regina Bruns who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Virgil (Irene) of Coldwater, Dennis (Mary) and Gary (Jan), all of Celina; a daughter, Marlene (Rob) Fisher, Coldwater; two daughters-in-law, Dotty Dues, Texas, and Joan Dues, Coldwater; three sisters, Rita (Louie) Schwartz and Esther (Leo) Schwartz, all of New Bremen, and Wilma (Ivo) Heitkamp, Philothea; four sisters-in-law, Josephine, Lillian and Martha Dues, all of Coldwater, and Mildred Dues, Fort Recovery; 18 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Leon and Orville; five brothers, Martin, Ray, Norbert, Lawrence and Cletus; three sisters, Veronica Heitkamp, Annie Lochtefeld and Marcella Dues; two brothers-in-law, Bill Heitkamp and Vic Lochtefeld; and a grandchild.
He was a farmer and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Men's Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 1991 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, all of Coldwater. He was a former board member of Mercer County Soil & Water Conservation and the Farm Bureau.

Lawrence Kohnen
Lawrence "Charlie" Kohnen, 79, formerly of 153 S. Cleveland St., Minster, died at 5:27 p.m. Sept. 28, 2003, at the Versailles Health Care Center.
He was born July 13, 1924, in St. Henry, to Leo and Frances Nieport Kohnen. On April 29, 1950, he married Esther B. Poeppelman who died April 25, 2000.
Surviving are seven daughters, Janice (Richard) Eilerman, Fort Loramie, Peggy (Eric) McPherson, Snohomish, Wash., Linda (Bob) Brown, Wapakoneta, Nancy (Charles) Betts, Granville, Carol (Patrick) Gilles, Pawcatuck, Conn., Judy (Don) Twitty, Groton, Conn., and Jane (Stuart) Fankhauser, Chandler, Ariz.; two brothers, Norbert (Evelyn) of Celina and Tony (Flora) of Dayton; a sister, Rosemary Wendeln, Wapakoneta; and 17 grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Loretta Dorsten and Celeste Dorsten.
He retired from Minster Machine Co., owned Kohnen Snack Foods and was a Watkins distributor. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391 and the Knights of Columbus, all of Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Henry Kuest
Former New Bremen resident Henry A. Kuest, 84, a resident of Otterbein, St. Marys, died at 3:50 p.m. Sept. 28, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born March 2, 1919, near New Bremen, to John H. and Wilhelmina A. Brueggeman Kuest.
Surviving is a sister, Alma Kuest, of Otterbein, St. Marys; a nephew, James Schroer, New Bremen; a great-nephew, Daniel (Kim) Schroer, Germantown; and a great-niece, Diana King, Celina.
Deceased are two sisters, Hilda Kuest and Esther Schroer; and a brother-in-law, Emil Schroer.
He was a retired farmer and for many years served on the Democratic Central Committee and the Board of Elections. He was a member of the Home Benefit Association and the Woodman of the World Camp 149, New Bremen. A 1937 graduate of New Bremen, High School, he was an appraiser and member of the Board of German Farmers Mutual Fire and Windstorm Assoc. and the Ohio Reinsurance Bureau, Newark. He was a life member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, where he served as a deacon and member of the board of controls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

John Smith
John L. Smith, 79, 217 Portland St., Celina, died at 12:57 p.m. Sept. 27, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Wabash, to Alfred and Mabel Louise McDonald Smith.
Surviving with his wife, the former Sondra Mihm, are two sons, David and Jim (Robin), all of Celina; a daughter, Melanie (Mike) Kerns, Findlay; a brother, Bobby (Thelma) of Celina; a sister, Carol (Jerry) Humbert, Troy; a brother-in-law, Jack Wade, Largo, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Mariannis Smith, Celina; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Kenneth and Donald, and two sisters, Joan Pierce and Betty Wade.
He retired from Springcreek Concrete in 1986. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, Celina, and served with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre during World War II.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, with military rites by the V.F.W.

Raymond Wuebker
Raymond H. Wuebker, 80, 121 E. Main St., St. Henry, died at 5:10 a.m. Sept. 28, 2003, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Carthagena, to John and Helena Selhorst Wuebker. On May 31, 1949, he married Mildred Goettemoeller who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Mike (June) of Minster, Tom (Vicki) of St. Henry and Fred (Kelly) of Lima; two daughters, Elaine (Bruce) Seger, Fort Loramie, and Mary Ann (Dan) Hemmelgarn, St. Henry; a brother, Ludwig (Dolores) of St. Henry; a sister-in-law, Hilda Wuebker, Cassella; and 14 grandchildren.
A brother, Carl, is deceased.
He was the owner of St. Henry Car Wash and Laundromat, a real estate broker, the former owner and operator of Wuebker Pennzoil, St. Henry, and a retired employee of the former Avco New Idea, Coldwater. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post, all of St. Henry, the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Celina.

Ralph Bechtol
Ralph L. Bechtol, 80, 503 N. First St., Fort Recovery, died at 6:50 a.m. Sept. 25, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Coldwater, to William H. and Mabel M. Bigelow Bechtol. On Oct. 22, 1942, he married Betty Shawver who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Danny (Mollie) and Larry, all of Fort Recovery, Ron of Wapakoneta and Joe (Susan) of Portland, Ind.; a daughter, Mary Cohen, Fort Recovery; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Isrel, Charles and Paul; two sisters, Mamie Aubuchon and Mary Stoner; and two grandchildren.
He retired from Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina and also worked as a cable installer. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War, surviving the sinking of the USS Wasp in the Coral Sea during World War II.
He attended Fort Recovery United Methodist Church and was a member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515 and a 50-year member of American Legion Post 345, both of Fort Recovery, and a member of the USS Wasp CV7 Stinger Club. He had served as Scoutmaster with the Fort Recovery Boy Scouts and as a honor guard member for the VFW and Legion.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Robert Dungan officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Salamonia Cemetery in Salamonia, Ind.
