Norbert Geier
Norbert H. "Jim" Geier, 80, 3170 Burkettsville-St. Henry Road, St. Henry, died at 6:10 p.m. Oct. 12, 2002, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
He was born June 6, 1922, in St. Henry, to Charles and Anna Mary (Schmackers) Geier. On May 5, 1951, he married Rose Marie Kremer and she died March 7, 1993.
Surviving are four sons and their wives, Gerald and Nancy of Celina, Marvin and Mary E. and Randal and Sharon, all of Coldwater, and Thomas and Diane of St. Henry; and two daughters and their husbands, Carol and David Marchal, Celina, and Diane and Joseph Reichert, Fort Loramie.
Also surviving are a brother and his wife, Paul and Mary Ellen of Centerville, and a brother, Herman of Coldwater; a sister, Helen Eyink, St. Henry; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Deceased are three brothers, Edward, Lawrence and Urban; three infant brothers; two sisters, Hilda Adams and Frances Koesters; and one grandchild.
A retired farmer, he was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
Ruth Lennartz
Ruth C. Lennartz, 69, 1001 Myers Road, formerly of Fort Recovery, died at 10:45 p.m. Oct. 13, 2002, at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Frenchtown, to Clarence and Ursina (Gigandet) Bey. On Nov. 15, 1952, he married Louis Lennartz and he died June 7, 1984.
Surviving are four sons and their wives, Tom and Cathy, David and Sue, Roger and Shelly and Duane and Amy, all of Fort Recovery; and four daughters and their husbands, Linda and Tom Boeckman, Coldwater, Karen and Ray Timmerman, New Bremen, Jane and Kevin Gaerke, Sharps Chapel, Tenn., and Brenda and Rick Kunk, Fort Recovery.
Other survivors include three brothers and their wives, Jerome and Loretta Bey, Wilmer and Phyllis Bey and Carl and Donna Lou Bey, all of Versailles; two sisters and their husbands, Thelma and Mark Jutte, Fort Recovery, and Marlene and Lester McCullough, Greenville; 30 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A sister-in-law, Dianna Leinen, is deceased.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers Sodality of the church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. A prayer service is planned there at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Regina Sutter
Regina Sutter, 93, 1506 Meadowview Drive, Celina, died at 7:25 a.m. Oct. 12, 2002, at Miller House in Celina.
She was born Feb. 14, 1909, in Mercer County, to George and Mary (Zumbrink) Leugers. On June 23, 1926, she married Clarence Sutter and he died Dec. 27, 1988.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Carl and Judy and John and Vickie, all of Celina, and Leroy and Judy of Willshire, and two sons, Norb and Paul, also of Celina; four daughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Robert Kaylor, Neptune, Mary and Bryan Dupes and Madonna and Leonard Sattler, all of Celina, and Jane and Roger Eibling, Fort Wayne, Ind., and a daughter, Joan Williams, Celina.
Other survivors include two sisters, Louetta Magato and Matilda Maier, both of Celina; 31 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, two brothers, three sisters, a grandson and a granddaughter.
She was a homemaker.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.

Dewane Walls
Dewane Walls, 79, 7260 U.S. 33, Celina, died at 12:25 a.m. today, Oct. 14, 2002, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Van Wert, to Luther and Gertrude (Fackler) Walls. On Dec. 21, 1946, he married Donna Couts and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Robert and Marie of Coldwater and Dennis and Adele of St. Marys; eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Other survivors include three brothers and their wives, Lowell and Jeanette of Mendon, Don and Arlene of New Philadelphia, and Gary and Sharon of Mercer; two sisters and their husbands, Dorothy and Wilbur Stoll, Florida, and Shirley and Stan Roediger, Neptune, and four sisters, Lois Feasby, Convoy, Eleanor Feasby, New Haven, Ind., Alice Parnell, Florida, and Sue John, Van Wert.
A brother, David, is deceased.
He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 37 years of service. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, the Amercian Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, all of Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Kenneth Baker and Donald Ricard officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dorothy Wibbeler
Dorothy E. Wibbeler, 85, formerly of 1103 Motz St., St. Marys, died at 1:42 a.m. Oct. 12, 2002, at Valley Nursing and Rehab Center, St. Marys.
She was born May 3, 1917, in Van Buren Township, Shelby County, to Eli H. and Bertha F. (Vordermark) Timmerman. On June 10, 1936, she married Harry L. Wibbeler and he died Jan. 20, 1970.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Ned and Barbara of Wapakoneta, Gary and Christy and Gregg and Lynn, all of St. Marys, and two sons, Lewis of Wapakoneta and Dennis of New Knoxville; three daughters and their husbands, Janice and Craig Suchland, Eileen and Robert Schamp and Christine and David Chivington, and a daughter, Carol Knatz, all of St. Marys.
Other survivors include two brothers, Ted Timmerman, Lima, and Larry Timmerman, Wapakoneta; three sisters, LaRue Shoemaker, Elida, Ruth Berry, Dayton, and Helen Erb, Wapakoneta; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Charles Knatz; two brothers, Robert and Marvin Timmerman; a sister, Delores Burden; and two grandchildren.
A 1935 graduate of New Knoxville High School, she was a homemaker and former employee of Adolph's Restaurant, New Knoxville, and McGee's Cafeteria and Orchard Tree Restaurant, both of St. Marys. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, Noble Township, and the United Methodist Women.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Dale Mangen officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery near New Knoxville.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ira Dilsaver
Ira Dilsaver, 78, 935 Cleveland Ave., St. Marys, died at 5:46 a.m. Oct. 14, 2002, following a sudden illness.
He was born March 18, 1924, in Allen County, to Charles and Della (Simpson) Dilsaver. On May 22, 1943, he married Lodean Davis and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Wayne and Patricia and Darrell and Rebecca, all of St. Marys; two daughters, Karen Geise, Sidney, and Lisa Fairchild, Portland, Ore.; a brother, Floyd of Botkins; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A son, Steven Joseph, died in infancy.
He was a retired farmer and maintenance man at Mersman Brothers Inc., Celina.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ron Spurgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

James Kite
James E. Kite, 73, 01747 Waesch Road, St. Marys, died at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 14, 2002, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in Lima, to Dr. C.P. and Anna (Dunan) Kite. On Aug. 12, 1950, he married Anne Burger and she survives.
Also surviving are a son and his wife, Jim and Barb of Columbus; two daughters and their husbands, Cathy and Tom Ahman, Lima, and Jean and Jeff Vossler, St. Marys; a stepbrother, Fred Schelby, Albuquerque, N.M.; and 10 grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Leah Schwepe and Janet Makley, and a granddaughter.
A 1947 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, he attended Ohio State University and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys after 36 years of service and worked as a lake patrolman for many years. He also served as a St. Marys Township trustee for 20 years and was instrumental in the construction of the Belle of St. Marys canal boat and the covered bridge at St. Marys Memorial Park.
A Miami-Erie Canal and Grand Lake St. Marys historian, he was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 323, the Lake Development Corp., OFCC and the Grand Lake Soundwaves Chorus, all of St. Marys. A member of the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees from 1966 to 1985, he served as secre-tary/treasurer in 1968 and vice president from 1972 to 1984. He was a member of the St. Marys Township Fire Department from 1976 to 1984.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Revs. David Woodyard and Stephen Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Henrietta Rentz
Henrietta M. Rentz, 95, formerly of 11 S. Maple St., Chickasaw, died Oct. 14, 2002, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born July 19, 1907, in Chickasaw, to Edward and Helen (Schoen) Zahn. On Oct. 11, 1937, she married John Rentz and he died April 28, 1943.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Eugene and Edna of Houston, Texas, and Gerald and Carol of Chickasaw; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Rentz, also of Chickasaw; a sister, Iola Brunswick, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Loretta Zahn, Vandalia; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Harold; two brothers, Urban and Paul Zahn; three sisters, Irma Heitkamp, Viola Stammen and Mary Huelsman; and a grandson.
She retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality, both of Chickasaw.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. John Bensman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Henrietta Wuebker
Henrietta H. Wuebker, 92, 12981 Thaman Road, Anna, died at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 14, 2002, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster, where she had been a patient one week.
She was born Nov. 9, 1909, in Fort Loramie, to Fred and Johanna (Mertz) Benanzer. On May 12, 1931, she married Robert F. Wuebker and he died Nov. 6, 1986.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Robert and Barb of Minster and Carl and Velma of Anna; a daughter and her husband, Mary and John Schwieterman, Montezuma; two brothers, Urban Benanzer, St. Patrick, and Fred Benanzer Jr., Sidney; a sister and her husband, Leona and Dick Hoke, Nokomis, Fla., and a sister, Bertha Selhorst, Coldwater; a sister-in-law, Hilda Benanzer, Fort Loramie; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, a daughter, a brother and a sister.
She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Rosary-Altar Sodality, both of McCartyville.
