Edward Eberle
Edward Eberle, 68, 1 Haarbye St., New Bremen, died at 5:05 a.m. Nov. 8, 2000 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Oct. 9, 1932, in St. Marys, to Wilbur and Mary (McMurray) Eberle. On Sept. 26, 1959, he married Joanne Doorley, who survives.
Other survivors include three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Maxine and Ed Horman, Wapakoneta, Irene and Paul Freytag, Minster, and Alice and Don Kohler, Rogers, Ark.; and a brother-in-law and his wife, James and Betty Doorley, Wapakoneta.
Deceased is a brother, Thomas.
He was a retired meat cutter from Wagner's IGA in Minster, and was a former employee of Monarch Machine Co., Minster. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of Church of the Holy Redeemer and American Legion Post 210, both of New Bremen, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge Aerie 767 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, both of St. Marys. He was a 1950 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Paul Doorley officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Contributions can be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Fund.

Sister M. Anastasia Langenkamp
Sister M. Anastasia Langenkamp, 84, died Nov. 4, 2000 at Maria Joseph Living Care Center, Dayton, where she resided.
She was born Oct. 8, 1916, in St. Henry, to Henry and Anna (Brockman) Langenkamp.
Survivors include two sisters, Marie Mohlman and Dorothy Muhlenkamp, both of Coldwater; and three brothers, Richard of St. Henry, Rev. August, SVD, of Mississippi, and Rev. Arnold, SVD, of West Virginia.
Deceased are four brothers and three sisters.
She entered the Sisters of the Precious Blood in 1933, and served as a housekeeper and seamstress at a number of facilities, including Dayton, Maria Stein, Carthagena. She retired in 1990 to St. Charles Seminary, where she continued volunteering.
Memorial Mass was held Thursday at Salem Heights in Dayton, and burial was at Salem Heights Cemetery.

Twyla Schlarman
Former Coldwater resident Twyla I. Schlarman, 85, of Dayton, died Nov. 8, 2000 at Franciscan St. Leonard's, Centerville.
She was born June 13, 1915, in Pratt, to Clarence and Ivy (Howell) Lehman.
Survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Anne and Denny Wolters, Dayton, and Mary and Dale Knapke, Sidney; two sons and their wives, Robert and Joan Sims, Murphy, N.C., and Patrick and Shirley Sims, Troy, and a son, H. Herman Sims, Inverness, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was retired from the former Mersman Brothers, Celina, and was a member of Arts Nova Art Club.
Funeral Mass is noon Saturday at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Dayton, the Rev. Larry Strittmatter officiating. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery.
Calling is 10 a.m. until time of services at the church Saturday.
Contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton or the Benevolent Fund at the Franciscan St. Leonard's, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville, OH 45458.

George Sullivan
George S. Sullivan, 91, was pronounced dead at 11:24 a.m. Nov. 9, 2000 at his residence, 1114 Motz St., St. Marys, by the St. Marys Fire Department.
He was born Aug. 11, 1909, in St. Marys, to Emory and Clara (Hertenstein) Sullivan. On March 21, 1942, he married Betty Jones, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Larry and Sue, and Bob and Sue of St. Marys, and three sons, Louis of Celina, and Terry and Tim, both of St. Marys; two daughters and their husbands, Judith and Ray Slone, New Knoxville, and Sue and Pearl Reed, St. Marys, and a daughter, Lynne Dircksen, Celina; a brother, Orlando of St. Marys; a sister, Helen Moore, Decatur, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Carl, and three sisters, Lulu, Marie and Ruth.
He was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, both of St. Marys.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 5-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mary Young
Mary Lou Young, 71, 200 Marker Road, Versailles, died at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 9, 2000 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
She was born June 28, 1929, in Versailles, to Chell and Lottie (Nixon) Graves. Her husband, Fred Young, died in 1989.
Survivors are a son and his wife, William and Brenda of Minster; a daughter and her husband, Beth and George Worden, Versailles, and a daughter, Cinda Sue of Union City; two brothers, Jim Graves, Covington, and Joe Graves, Versailles; a sister, Christine Weedman of Florida; and nine grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Amy Lou Hankins, a son-in-law, James Hankins, a brother, Charles Graves, and two granddaughters.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, the Rev. Galen Gebhart officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Anita Christian
Anita L. Christian, 85, 1351 Touvelle St., Celina, died at 7:50 a.m. Nov. 10, 2000 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Mercer County, to C. Edward and Gladys (Felver) Black. She married Norval Pierstorff, who died in 1954, then married Kenneth Profit, who died in 1978. She married Floyd Christian, who died in 1994.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Darwin and Becky Pierstorff, Decatur, Ind.; a daughter and her husband, Linda and John Zsembik, Celina; a sister and her husband, Edna and Dick Keifer, Celina; four granddaughters, three stepgrandsons, nine great-grandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant daughter and a brother, Charles Black.
She was a retired nurses' aid from the former Gibbons Hospital, Celina, and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Hopewell Township.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. James Durnil officiating. Burial is at Buck Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.

Jerome Bergman
Jerome J. Bergman, 73, died at 6:45 p.m. Nov. 12, 2000 at his residence at 7381 Ohio 66, Newport.
He was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Newport, to William and Emma (Broerman) Bergman. On Jan. 10, 1953, he married Loretta M. Monnier, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, David of Beavercreek, and Matthew of Fayetteville, N.C.; two daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and Mark Lea, Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Katherine and Dan Westerheide, Minster; three brothers and their wives, Cyril and Anne of Newport, Charles and Fern of Sidney, and William and Rita of Newport; a daughter and her husband, Madonna and Jim Rak, New Albany, and two daughters, Ivolyn of Newport, and Rita of Piqua; and seven grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Mary Tribbie.
He was retired as a self-employed driller and owned Bergman Well Drilling. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and its Men's Sodality, Newport, Catholic War Veterans, Russia, and Newport Sportsman Club.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Donald Shelander officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Contributions can be made to Wilson Hospice Care.

Arthur Eischen
Arthur H. Eischen, 89, died at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 11, 2000 at his residence at 4826 Ohio-Indiana State Line Road, Fort Recovery.
He was born Jan. 14, 1911, in Portland, Ind., to Peter and Veronica (Klaus) Eischen. On Oct. 27, 1945, he married Erma C. Timmerman, who died April 20, 1989.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Marilyn and Bill Wenning, Fort Recovery; three sons and their wives, Robert and Lynn, and Carl and Cheryl, all of Celina, and Donald and Betsy of Fort Recovery; three sisters, Beatrice Schmit, Geneva, Ind., Catherine Hartnagel, Fort Recovery, and Vita Weitzel, New Weston; a brother, Sylvester of Celina; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, John, Joseph and Edward, four sisters, Elizabeth Homan, Mary Koenig, Cecelia Eischen, and Matilda Schwoerer, and a great-granddaughter.
He was an employee of the former St. Anthony Feed Mill, and was a bus driver for Coldwater Schools. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman and Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Harrison Evers
Harrison J. Evers, son of David and Kelly (Kaffenberger) Evers, 13215 Ohio-Indiana State Line Road, Union City, was stillborn Nov. 6, 2000 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Other survivors are a brother, Mason, and two sisters, Kelsey and Carissa, all at home; grandparents, John and Jean Evers, and Ivan and Cindy Kaffenberger, all of Fort Recovery; great-grandparents, Florence and Anna Evers, St. Henry, Larry and Mary Day, and Helen Kaffenberger, all of Fort Recovery; and great-great-grandmother, Doris Day, Fort Recovery.
Graveside services are 5 p.m. today at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Tamara Wood and Deacon John Parker officiating.
Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, handled arrangements.

Dorothy Heil
Former Minster resident, Dorothy C. Heil, 84, died at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 10, 2000 at Maria Joseph Center in Dayton, where she resided.
She was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Minster, to Karl and Edna (Kramer) Kuehner. On July 12, 1938, she married Werner J. Heil, who died Dec. 30, 1994.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Steven and JoAnn of Vandalia, and three grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Kenneth and Thomas Kuehner.
She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and its former St. Monica Ladies Sodality, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
There will be no visitation, but family will greet friends and family at the church prior to Mass.

Maria Look
Maria E. Look, 73, 714 S. Elm St., Celina, died at 4:40 a.m. Nov. 11, 2000 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Wurzburg, Germany, to Karl and Juliana (Schnepf) Balling. On Jan. 28, 1947, she married Edward Look, who died Dec. 13, 1983.
Survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Ursula and Mike Brandewie, Fort Loramie, and Glory and Butch Agler, Ohio City, and a daughter, Edie Winhoven, Columbus; a son and his wife, Harold and Teresa of Fort Recovery; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters.
She was a homemaker.
Private services are at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Thomas Huff officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
