Don Colvin
Don E. Colvin, 75, of Celina, died Nov. 24, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Nov. 15, 1925, and on Sept. 5, 1947, he married Donna Lee Parlette, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons and their wives, Ted and Karen, and Kendal and Cindy, and two sons, Bruce Edward and Keldon; a daughter and her husband, Candi and Robert Banks; a sister and her husband, Donna Ruth and Harold Graves, and a sister, Eileen Dey; and five grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Ted.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, where he was a member of the Office of Strategic Service and earned a Purple Heart. He was a member of American Legion Post 210, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5783, and Disabled American Veterans, all of Celina.
Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jon Kraner officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.

Frances McNamee
Frances C. McNamee, 93, formerly of 815 S. Ash St., St. Marys, died at 5:15 a.m. Nov. 27, 2001 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born April 24, 1907, in New Bremen, to William and Sophie (Luedeke) Topp. She was married to Wilbur Burd, who is deceased. She then married William McNamee, who is also deceased.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Anna and Kenneth Moser, Lima; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Burd of St. Marys; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Ruth Hoselton, and a son, Paul Burd.
She was employed at the former DWG Cigar Factory, and was a former employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., both of St. Marys. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Patricia Minnick officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.

Vincent Martyne
Vincent M. Martyne, 19, 421 E. Votaw St., Portland, Ind., died Nov. 26, 2001 in an auto accident in Kankakee, Ill.
He was born Aug. 22, 1981, in Portland, Ind., to Anthony and Carmen (Martin) Martyne. His father and his wife, Deborah, and his mother all survive in Portland, Ind.
Other survivors include two sisters, Monica and Kathryn, both of Portland, Ind.; grandparents, Jean and Dean Penrod, Mike and Susie Martin, and Mary Ann and Tom Lewis, all of Portland, Ind.; great-grandparents, John Schisler, Portland, Ind., and Alta Mae Halsey, Englewood; and stepgrandparents, Sylvester and Alice Guggenbiller, Fort Recovery.
He was employed at Windy Hill Pet Food, Portland, Ind., and was a 1998 graduate of Jay County, High School, Portland, Ind.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, Ind., the Rev. Marty Sandhage officiating. Burial is at Green Park Cemetery.

Pearl Reed
Pearl I. Reed, 91, died Nov. 27, 2001 at Woodcrest Nursing Home, Decatur, Ind., where she was a resident.
She was born Aug. 6, 1909, in Union City, Ind., to Garfield and Flossie (Smith) Bunker. On June 20, 1932, she married Ernest Reed, who died April 11, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Clark of Decatur, Ind.; a daughter and her husband, Sharon and Francis Wellman, Decatur, Ind.; a brother, Cletus Bunker, Addison, Ill.; a sister, Ruby Washler, Union City, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and co-owned and operated Reed's Wallpaper and Paint in New Corydon, Ind. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bryant, Ind., and was active in the Women's Missionary Society.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, Ind., the Rev. Amy Beitelschees-Albers officiating. Burial is at New Lisbon Cemetery, Union City, Ind.

Mabel Stover
Mable M. Stover, 81, 1017 Cedar Drive, Celina, died at 5:13 p.m. Nov. 28, 2001 at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Mercer County, to Loren and Dessie (Steele) Harner. On Aug. 18, 1940, she married George Stover, who survives.
Other survivors include two sisters and their husbands, Esther and VonDean Snyder, Celina, and Belva Jean and Robert Christian, Mendon, and a sister, Ruby Price of Rockford.
Deceased are two sisters, Mildred Swander and Lucille McGee.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. James Wilson II officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Robert Cully
Robert Foy Cully, 84, 14839 Ohio 709, Van Wert, died at 3:14 a.m. Nov. 28, 2001 at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born Dec. 18, 1915, in Willshire, to Clark Murphy and Anise Maude (Kiracofe) Cully. On June 27, 1943, he married Mildred L. Rummel, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Edward L. and Sandra of rural Van Wert; a sister, Mildred Friend, North Baltimore; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are a son and a great-grandson.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert, and Ohio Farmers Union.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Raymond E. Feeck officiating. Burial is at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Harold Rhodes
Harold C. Rhodes, 86, 221 N. Vine St., Van Wert, died at 5:48 a.m. Nov. 29, 2001 at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born June 13, 1914, in Mercer County, to Samuel and Minnie (Snyder) Rhodes. On Nov. 29, 1936, he married Edith I. Mohler, who died Sept. 4.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Packer, Van Wert.
Deceased are a brother, Earl, and two sisters, Edith Wilkins and Mary Miehls.
He was former owner and operator of Rhodes Lawn Mower Sale and Service in Van Wert, and a former reserve deputy for Van Wert County Sheriff's Office and Van Wert City Police. He was a member of Van Wert Fraternal Order of Police and attended Trinity Friends Church, Van Wert.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Revs. Duane Rice and Paul Miller officiating. Burial is at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Cletus Zumbroegel
Cletus H. Zumbroegel, 91, died at 4:15 a.m. Nov. 29, 2001 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
He was born May 9, 1909, in Minster, to Henry and Wilhemena (Zurelene) Zumbroegel. On Aug. 25, 1928, he married Esther Mannor, who died Feb. 20, 1980.
Survivors are four daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Thomas Dingledine, and Barbara and David Lutz, all of St. Marys, Shirley and Anthony Oldiges, Minster, and Nancy and Leland Romaine, Buckhannon, W.Va.; a daughter-in-law, Barbara of St. Marys; 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Donald, three brothers and three sisters.
He was a retired wholesale distributor for Ace, Sidney, and was a member of St. Augustine Church and its choir, Minster. He was a member of Cataract Fire Co., Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Paul Fischer
Paul R. Fischer, 74, 12300 E. Shelby Road, Minster, died at 11:18 p.m. Oct. 30, 2001 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born July 18, 1927, in Minster, to Bernard C. and Bernadetta (Tecklenburg) Fischer. On June 20, 1959, he married Sally Wilson and she died April 9, 2000.
Surviving are a sister and her husband, Mary Eileen and Harold Buschur, McCartyville; a mother-in-law, Frances Wilson, New Bremen; two brothers-in-laws and their wives, Joe and Pat Wilson, St. Marys, and Jim and Janice Wilson, Bremen, Ind.; and a sister-in-law, Carol Wilson, New Bremen.
He retired in 1989 from the former Beatrice Foods plant, New Bremen. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen, at the convenience of the family following cremation.

Mildred Lallemand
Mildred B. Lallemand, 86, 86 S. Cleveland St., Minster, died at 6:10 a.m. today [Nov. 1, 2001] at her residence.
She was born Dec. 18, 1914, in Fort Loramie, to Albert and Mary (Ernst) Brandewie. On Nov. 25, 1937, she married Francis Lallemand and he died March 11, 1968.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Carol and Albert Otting and Treva and Louis Albers, all of Minster; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Lallemand, Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother and his wife, Ernest and Pilar Brandewie, South Bend, Ind.; two sisters and their husbands, Helen and Robert Grilliot, Versailles, and Erma and Merill Konish, North Hollywood, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Dennis Lallemand; three brothers and a sister.
She retired from Minster Machine Co. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 1391, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
