Carl Craft
Carl A. Craft, 62, 04492 Lock Fourteen Road, St. Marys, died the morning of Nov. 7, 2001 at his residence. The cause of death is pending results of an autopsy.
He was born April 18, 1939, in St. Marys to Bernard and Estella (Wendel) Craft. His mother survives in St. Marys. On Aug. 28, 1957, he married Ruth Polen, who survives at the residence.
He is survived by a son, Richard of St. Marys; two sons and their wives, Tom and Allison and Scott and Deb, both of Ft. Worth, Tex.; three daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Mark Graves, Sherri and Kevin Brown and Renee and Tony Schmehl, all of St. Marys; a sister and her husband, Mary Ann and Leo Tebbe of St. Marys; four brothers and their wives, Victor and Mary of Cincinatti, Don and Jan of St. Marys, Melvin and LaDonna of Montezuma and David and LouAnn of Wapakoneta; two brothers Ken of St. Marys and Bernard of New Bremen.
Deceased is a sister, Mae Ellen.
He was a 1957 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys. He was formerly employed as a Ford mechanic at Laibe Ford, Lima and Potbury Ford, St. Marys. He also retired in 1985 from the St. Marys Fire Department as a captain and paramedic. In 1983, he was awarded the Ohio Fire Service Valor Award from Governor Richard Celeste. He was a member of American Legion Post 323 in St. Marys. He served eight years in the United States Army Reserves and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.
Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church, the Revs. James Byrne and David Heinl officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.

Beatrice Anspach
Former Rockford resident Beatrice Anspach, 87, of Van Wert, died at 7:40 a.m. Nov. 7, 2001 at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert.
She was born Dec. 21, 1913, in Broughton to Francis Minor Hart and Ivy Ramsey Hart. On Aug. 3, 1935, she married Ray Anspach and he died June 7, 1973.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Kenneth R. and Betty of Van Wert; two daughters and their husbands, Grace and Larry Hines, Bristol, Va., and Karen and Kent Badders, Fort Wayne, Ind.; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandsons.
Deceased are four brothers, Irvin, Ray F., Walter and William, and a sister, Helen White.
She and her husband were longtime owners and operators of Rockford Produce. She was the first cook at Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford, and later was hostess at the Motor Inn Truck Stop. She also worked at the Lima Tank Depot during World War II. She was the area representative in the Ohio Green Thumb Project for senior citizens in Van Wert and Mercer counties.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Eastern Star services are set there at 7 p.m. Friday.

Mathew Collins
Mathew D. "Wayne" Collins, 41, 705 Black Eagle Drive, Fort Recovery, died at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 7, 2001 at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Nov. 11, 1959, in Medina, to Maurice P. and Elizabeth A. (Sheets) Collins. The mother survives in Fort Recovery. On June 26, 1998, he married Lori Collins, who survive at the residence.
Also surviving are a son, Trey, Fort Recovery; three brothers and their wives, Marty and Josey of Dallas, Texas, Dr. Michael and Debra of New London, and Charlie and Kelly of Toledo; a brother, Doug of Fort Recovery; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Evelyn Zearbaugh, Portland, Ind.
Deceased is a brother, Scott.
He was employed as a quality control technician at Hartzell Propeller, Piqua. He was a 1978 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and a graduate of Merced Community College, Merced, Calif. He spent eight years in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Christ Chapel, Fort Recovery, and the Honda Sport Touring Association, Columbus.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Steve Long officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Catherine Ahlers
Catherine "Katy" Ahlers, 70, 140 Washington St., Burkettsville, died at 5:05 p.m. Nov. 8, 2001 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Falls Church, Va., to Anna Mae Creekmur. On Dec. 27, 1952, she married Edward Ahlers and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons and their wives, James and Brenda of Elwood, Ind., and Phillip and Carolyn of Fort Recovery; a daughter and her husband, Kimberly and Ben Quinter, Maria Stein; a brother-in-law, Melvin Heitkamp, St. Henry; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Evelyn Heitkamp, and a stepfather, Ed Brinkman.
She worked at Ivo's Restaurant in Burkettsville for 30 years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, the Ladies Guild of the church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Fort Recovery.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Melissa Brogaard
Melissa Ann Brogaard, 30, 402 E. Elizabeth St., Coldwater, died at 12:29 a.m. Nov. 8, 2001 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, due to natural causes.
She was born July 27, 1971, in Lima, to Ronald and Brenda (Connar) Pratt. They survive in Henderson, Nev. On Sept. 15, 1997, she married Chad A. Brogaard, who survives at the residence.
Also surviving is a brother, Frank of Henderson, Nev.
She was a homemaker.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Alisha Eisenhut
Alisha Eisenhut, 4, 3601 State Route 703, Lot 67, Celina, was pronounced dead on arrival around 2 p.m. Nov. 7, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater, following injuries sustained in a fire at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1997, in Coldwater, to Stanley "Jim" and Wendy (McNerney) Eisenhut, who survive.
Also surviving are a 1-year-old brother, Tyson, at home; the grandparents, Dennis and Jennie McNerney, Robin and Bruce Ganger, Stanley and Melanie Eisenhut and Robin Studer, all of Celina; and the great-grandparents, Harold and Helen Eisenhut, Fort Loramie, Betty Gross and Albert Weis, both of Celina, and Carol Longsworth and Homer and Charlene Ganger, all of Van Wert.
Deceased is a brother, Brandon.
She attended Head Start classes.

Brandon Eisenhut
Brandon Eisenhut, 3, 3601 State Route 703, Lot 67, was pronounced dead on arrival around 2 p.m. Nov. 7, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater, following injuries sustained in a fire at his home.

Freda Muhlenkamp
Freda E. Muhlenkamp, 93, formerly of St. Anthony, died at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 8, 2001 at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born July 26, 1908, in Burkettsville, to Henry and Theresa (Lennartz) Steinbrunner. On Sept. 13, 1933, she married Hilbert Muhlenkamp and he died April 1, 1985.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Cletus and Joan and Jerry and Grace, all of Fort Recovery, and a son, Edgar of Coldwater; four daughters and their husbands, Irene and Wallace Klosterman, Montezuma, Alice and Ed Barhorst, Fort Loramie, Berniece and Leon Davis, New Haven, Ind., and Duretta and Bob Beckstedt, Celina, and a daughter, Julie Spoltman, Philothea; 32 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Ron Spoltman; four brothers, four sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Altar-Rosary Sodality of the church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Coldwater. She was also a member and past president of Knights of St. John Auxiliary #89.
Funeral Mass is 1:30 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Leona Moody
Leona M. Moody, 103, a resident of Miller House, Celina, died at the residence at 1:20 p.m. Nov. 8, 2001.
She was born Aug. 25, 1898, in Celina, to Charles and Sophia (Uhlenhaker) Krogman. On Sept. 23, 1917, she married William Earl Moody and he died April 22, 1947.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Harold Eugene and Helen of Jackson, Mich., and Robert Dean and Nancy Bee of Ohio City; a daughter and her husband, D'Meria Jean and Chester Stover, Celina; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Another survivor is Jennifer Hines, whom she cared for in earlier years.
Deceased is a son, Max.
She retired from Reynolds & Reynolds in 1970 and also worked as a secretary for Moody Brothers Well Drilling. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, the Order of Eastern Star and the last member of the Rockford American Legion World War I Auxiliary.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. Don Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Patricia Zizelman
Former Celina resident Patricia June Zizelman, 66, of Paulding, died at 2:15 a.m. Nov. 8, 2001 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Allen County, to Paul H. and Frances A. (Marshall) Sommers. On Oct. 10, 1954, she married Albert Zizelman Jr. and he survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Paul and Gail of Paulding, and a son, Larry of Spring Hill, Fla.; two brothers and their wives, Clifford and Nancy of Waterloo, Ind., and Ron and Judy of Auburn, Ind., and a brother, Kenny of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister and her husband, Delores Kay and James Cox, Fairborn; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Betty Drisel.
She was a homemaker and attended First Christian Church, Paulding.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, the Rev. Dawn Remster officiating. Burial will be at Paulding Memorial Cemetery.
