Robert Wynk
Robert Louis Wynk, 67, 6195 Ohio 274, Carthagena, died Thursday afternoon [Nov. 8, 2001] in Montgomery County following an automobile accident.
He was born June 23, 1934, in Montezuma to John and Catherine (Stueve) Wynk. On June 10, 1961, he married Rita Wendel, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons and their wives, John and Phyllis, Marion, Ind.; Ben and Linda, Chickasaw, and a son Louis, Carthagena; two daughters and their husbands, Ann and Barry DeRoo, Fairfield; and Mary and Randy Holthaus, Fort Loramie; two daughters, Carolyn, Cartha-gena; Judy, Hamilton; two brothers and their wives, Elmer and Jean, St. Sebastian, and Lester and Wilma, Osgood; a sister and her husband, Lorena and Othmar Reichert, Cassella; and 10 grandchildren.
Deceased are two grandchildren, a sister, Dorothy, and a sister-in-law, Wilma Wynk.
He was a retired farmer and member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, and the Men's Holy Name Society of the church; the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, Farm Bureau Council and Arnie's Corner Coffee Club.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Calling hours at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, are 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday.
Contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

LaMar Wuebker
Coldwater native LaMar F. Wuebker, 64, Vandalia, died Nov. 9, 2001 at Hospice of Dayton following an extended illness.
He was born May 16, 1937, in Coldwater to Frank H. and Mary (Niekamp) Wuebker. In 1959, he married Francine M. Miracle, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Steven M., Centerville; a daughter and her husband, Renee M. Wuebker and Stephen Carter, Powell; and a brother and his wife, Herman L. and Delores, Celina.
He was recently retired from the Card Service Division of G.E. Capital/Bank One, Dayton, and had worked in the home improvement business for many years. He was a charter member of the Vandalia Optimist Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Northridge Memorial Post 746.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
Private graveside services are planned.
Contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton.

Dwight Smith
Dwight Smith, 87, 04894 Aqueduct Road, St. Marys, died at 7:28 a.m. Nov. 8, 2001 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys following an extended illness.
He was born March 21, 1914, in Waynesfield to John and Nellie (Croy) Smith. On Sept. 26, 1950, he married Marie Apple, who died Oct. 7, 1997.
Survivors are a daughter, Regina Roeder, Lima; a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Craig McDermitt, St. Marys; a son and his wife, Bud and Laura, Waynesfield; four brothers and their wives, Bernard and Norma of Lima, Roger and Geneva of Elida, John and Bonnie of Battle Creek, Mich., and Morris and Jan of Marshall, Mich.; two sisters and their husbands, Lois and Merle Leedy, Lima, and JoAnn and Maurice Duggan, Waynesfield; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Mick, Carl and Ralph; a sister, Betty, and a granddaughter, Priscilla McDermitt.
He was a 1932 graduate of New Hampshire High School and graduated from business college in Cleveland. He retired in 1975 from his post as administrator of the Auglaize County Home and previously had served as the superintendent of the former Lima State Hospital. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 9289 and Eagles Aerie 767, both in St. Marys. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home Grand Lake St. Marys Chapel, the Rev. David Heinl officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys. The VFW will conduct graveside military rites.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The VFW will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Eleanor Setterfield
Former Celina resident Eleanor Lou Setterfield, 75, of Springfield, died Nov. 10, 2001 at Community Hospital, Springfield.
She was born July 24, 1926, in Gallipolis, to Lewis C. and Maude (Angel) Persinger.
Surviving with her husband of 55 years, Hugh Setterfield, are a son and his wife, Charlie and Patrice of Springfield; a daughter and her husband, Linda and Terry Fisher, Celina, and a daughter, Jane Setterfield, Springfield; three sisters and their husbands, Jean and Carroll Stottlemeyer, Goshen, Ind., Janice and Adelbert Young, Lake Luzerne, N.Y., and Julia and Roy Mullins, Gallipolis; a sister-in-law, Carol Persinger, Martinez, Ga.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a brother, David Persinger, and two sisters, Lucy Hinkle and Dorothy Parsons.
She was a member of Homemakers Circle 9, Middletown.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield, the Rev. Dan Powell officiating.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marie Magoto
Marie L. Magoto, 84, 14279 Friend Road, Rossburg, died at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 11, 2001 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 14, 1917, in New Bremen, to Lafe and Ida (Bushman) Neuman. On Feb. 18, 1939, she married Ralph Magoto Sr. and he is deceased.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Ralph and Betty of Ansonia, and five sons, Jerry, Mike, Ronald, Gene and John, all of Rossburg; a daughter and her husband, Eva and Jim Fisher, Sidney, and a daughter, Mary Lacy, Rossburg; a sister-in-law, Lolly Magoto, Celina; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant brother and three sisters, Violet Philifs, Alfrieda Neuman and Leta Magoto.
She was a homemaker and a 1936 graduate of New Bremen High School.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, the Rev. Dan Bell officiating. Burial will be at St. Louis Cemetery, North Star.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rosemary Post
Rosemary M. Post, 80, 732 Menchhofer Road, Fort Recovery, died Nov. 12, 2001 at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater. She was born May 8, 1921, in Mercer County, to John and Elizabeth (Wellman) Schroer. On Oct. 10, 1945, she married Clarence H. Post and he died Nov. 17, 1995.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Jerry and Sue of Marietta; three daughters, Carol Roche, Fort Recovery, Sharon Hong, Independence, and Kathy Thobe, Celina; a sister, Mary Ann Gebele, Coldwater; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers and three sisters.
She was a homemaker and a graduate of the former Immaculate Conception High School, Celina. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Rosary-Altar Sodality of the church and the Daughters of Isabella, Fort Recovery and a former choir member.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Revs. Tom Schroer and Ken Alt officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

James Schlueter
Former Celina resident James M. "Jumbo" Schlueter, 57, 211 Edith Ave., Findlay, died at 3:47 p.m. Nov. 10, 2001 at St. Catherine Care Center, Findlay. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Celina, to Vincent H. and Hilda R. (Uhlenhake) Schlueter. On Nov. 20, 1976, he married Norma Rambo and she is deceased.
Surviving are a stepmother, Leona Mesarvey-Schlueter, Celina; two brothers and their wives, Paul and Evelyn of Greenville and Joseph and Lora of Celina, and two brothers, John of Greenbriar, Tenn., and Thomas of Wapakoneta; a sister and her husband, Jane and William Springer, and a sister, Judy Millisor, all of Celina.
Deceased is a sister-in-law, Barb Stauffer Schlueter.
He was a salesman with Rettig's Furniture for eight years and managed and co-owned several nightclubs after moving to the Findlay area in 1969. He had previously worked for Mersman's Tables and owned J. Michael's Furniture, Lima. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and a former member of the Findlay Corvette Club.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Coldren-Cates Funeral Home, Findlay, the Revs. Deborah K. Stevens and Keith Stripe officiating. Burial will be at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Charles Staugler
Charles J. Staugler, 82, 414 S. Second St., Coldwater, died at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 12, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Coldwater, to Charles and Catherine (Herman) Staugler.
Surviving are two brothers and their wives, Clarence and Margaret and Ernie and Rita, all of Coldwater; three sisters and their husbands, Irene and Ralph Meinerding, Wapakoneta, Germaine and Anthony Steinbrunner, Montezuma, and Kathleen and Bernard Muhlenkamp, Coldwater, and a sister, Joan of Coldwater; and three sisters-in-law, Irene Staugler, Coldwater, Carolyn Staugler, Montezuma, and Joan Mescher, Celina.
Deceased are five brothers, Herbert, Henry Paul, William, Robert and Ralph, and three sisters, Helen, Mary Lillian and Ernestine.
He formerly worked at the former Pet Milk and New Idea in Coldwater and was currently employed at Sanning's Service Station, Coldwater. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of the church and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5135, all of Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater, with the VFW conducting military rites.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

Wilma Wolfe
Wilma L. Wolfe, 82, formerly of 927 S. Wayne St., St. Marys, died at 11:55 a.m. Nov. 12, 2001 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born April 17, 1919, in Robinson, Ill., to Glen and Opal (Vanover) Brush. On Jan. 23, 1938, she married Ralph Wolfe and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons and their wives, Ralph Jr. and Doris of New Bremen; and Jerry and Charlett of St. Marys; two daughters and their husbands, Ruth Ann and James Snethkamp, St. Marys, and Linda and Tim Gehm, Coldwater; a brother and his wife, Dick and Maxine Howell, West Milton; three sisters and their husbands, Ruby and Roger Settlage, New Knoxville, Angie and Larry Thornsberry, St. Marys, and Norma and Ed Sullivan, Lima; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two sisters, Maxine Graham and Mary Fulton, and a granddaughter.
She was a homemaker and a former member of First Wesleyan Church, St. Marys.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, Miami Erie Chapel, St. Marys, the Rev. John Wine officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Rev. John Jadgchew
The Rev. John Jadgchew, 54, a resident of St. Charles Center, Carthagena, died there Nov. 12, 2001 of cancer.
He was born Oct. 27, 1947, to Peter and Cecilia (Sedlak) Jadgchew. His mother survives in Parma.
Other survivors include a brother and his wife, Robert and Christine of Parma, and two sisters, Joyce Buckholtz and Marilyn Kurcz, also of Parma.
He ministered primarily as a hospital chaplain during 26 years in the priesthood. He began March 22, 1976 at Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park, Ill. He spent several months at Holy Name Catholic Church, Cincinnati, in 1981 before being assigned as chaplain at St. Mary Hospital, Port Arthur, Texas. From June 1986 to July 1987, he served at three different parishes - as administrator at St. Peter Church, Winamac, Ind., associate pastor at St. Joseph Church, Dayton, and at St. James the Less Church, Columbus. In September 1987, he returned to hospital ministry as a chaplain at Citizens Memorial Hospital, Detar, Texas, and Victoria Regional Hospital, Victoria, Texas. His last assignments were as chaplain and director of pastoral care at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind., and chaplain at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Covington, Ky. He moved to St. Charles in 1994.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles, the Rev. Angelo Anthony, provincial director of Precious Blood Missionaries, officiating. The Rev. Clarence Williams will deliver the homily. Burial will be at the Precious Blood Community Cemetery at St. Charles.
Calling is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at St. Charles Center. A prayer service is planned at 7 p.m..
Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, has charge of arrangements.
