Lavon Mozak
D. Lavon Mozak, 85, formerly of Celina, died Nov. 21, 2001 at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Conn.
She was born June 16, 1916 in Crothersville, Ind., to John and Alice Marhanka. In March 1952, She married Ekema "Edward" Mozak, who preceded her in death.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Carol A. and Paul D. Wolff, Easton, Conn., two grandchildren and a niece.
She worked as a secretary for the Department of Engineering at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, during World War II and continued her career as a legal secretary in Dayton. She also worked as a secretary for St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina. She was a member of Black Rock Congregational Church, Fairfield, Conn.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Aspetuck Cemetery, Easton, Conn.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Spear Funeral Home, Fairfield, Conn.

Mackayne Beery
Mackayne Turner Peyton Beery, infant daughter of Michael and Ami (Mohr) Beery of Rockford, was stillborn at 2:40 a.m. Nov. 24, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
Surviving with the parents are a brother, Mackaid, and a sister, Mackenzie, both at home; the paternal grandparents, Michael and Barbara Beery, Celina; maternal grandparents, Sheryl Harner of Mendon and Josh Mohr, Rockford; maternal great-grandmother, Lurline Mohr, Rockford; and the paternal great-grandparents, John and Geraldine Bergman, Monroe, Ind.
Private graveside services for the family are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, the Rev. George Hubbell Jr. officiating.

Rev. Raymond Grevenkamp
The Rev. Raymond Grevenkamp died Nov. 25, 2001 at St. Charles Center, Carthagena.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Assumption Chapel at St. Charles. Burial will be in the community cemetery.
Calling is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at St. Charles. A wake service will be held there at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Ralph Mueller
R. Ralph Mueller, 79, 600 N. Mill St., Coldwater, died at 5:25 p.m. Nov. 23, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Death was due to complications following surgery.
He was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Coldwater, to Rudy and Agnes (Fox) Mueller. On Nov. 20, 1946, he married Viola Huelsman and she survives.
Also surviving are a son and his wife, Rud and Corinne of Tampa, Fla.; a brother and his wife, James G. and Carolyn of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister and her husband, Margie and James Romer, Piqua; and one grandson.
Deceased is an infant sister, Martha.
He retired from New Idea, Coldwater, in 1981 as manager of plant engineers. He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1940 and from St. Joseph College, Rensselaer, Ind. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served as a pilot during World War II. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 1991 and Coldwater American Legion Post. He was also a charter member of the Mercer County Elks Lodge, past president of the Coldwater Jaycees and longtime secretary of the Coldwater Kiwanis Club.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

William Philipps
William R. "Shorty" Philipps, 81, 13345 Luthman Road, Minster, died at 6 a.m. Nov. 24, 2001 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, where he had been a patient one week.
He was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Piqua, to William and Mary (Dankworth) Philipps. On Aug. 3, 1943, he married Louise E. Craine and she died July 8, 1995.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, William Richard and Linda and Thomas and Deb, all of Minster; a daughter and her husband, Karolyn and Dale Gade, Bradford; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is one sister.
He retired from Minster Machine Co. in 1985. A World War II veteran, he served as a U.S. Army ambulance driver in the European Theatre. He was a life member of the Piqua Fraternal Order of Eagles and a member of the Minster American Legion Post, Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and the Loyal Order of Moose, both of Sidney, and the Lake Loramie Improvement Association.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, the Rev. Will Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park with the American Legion conducting military graveside rites.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Evelyn Puthoff
Evelyn I. Puthoff, 85, formerly of Chickasaw, died at 9:07 p.m. Nov. 22, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Chickasaw, to Louis and Mary (Link) Grieshop. On Sept. 1, 1945, she married Henry Puthoff and he died May 23, 1972.
Surviving are four sons and their wives, Nick and Betty of Celina, Gary and Marla of Spencerville, John and Karen of Montezuma and Tony and Cathy of Philothea; three daughters and their husbands, Donna and Mike Dorsten, Mount Gilead, Janet Puthoff and Bob Butcher, Centerville, and Marcia and Jeff Schwieterman, Maria Stein; a son-in-law, Bill White, Maine; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Ray and Agnes of St. Henry, and Merinus and Alice of Maria Stein, and three brothers-in-law, Scott of St. Henry, Cy Link, Burkettsville, and Richard of Chickasaw; two sisters-in-law, Rela Grieshop, Rockford, and Mary Grieshop, Harvard, Ill.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter, Louise White.
She retired as an aide at St. Charles Infirmary, Carthagena. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw and the Ladies Rosary Altar Society of Precious Blood Church and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Cassella.
Funeral Mass was 10:30 a.m. today at the Cassella church, the Revs. John Bensman and Fred Ryder officiated. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Ronald Wiley
Ronald Wiley, 64, 886 Townview Terrace, St. Marys, died at 6:45 a.m. Nov. 24, 2001 at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
He was born April 27, 1937, in Hardin, to James and Margaret Mary (Peters) Wiley.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Ralph and Karen and Randy and Dionne, and a son, Rick, all of St. Marys; a daughter and her husband, Becky and Mark Fowler, St. Marys; two brothers, Wilbur of Sidney and Ken of West Palm Beach, Fla; and 10 grandchildren.
Deceased are two infant brothers.
He was a 1956 graduate of Anna High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 323, St. Marys.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, the Rev. Joachim Wilck officiating.

Linda Bockrath
Linda K. Bockrath, 59, 5209 Mason Road, Fort Loramie, was found dead at her residence Nov. 25, 2001. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born May 7, 1942, in Lima, to Everett and Vivian (Jackson) Barnhill. On Jan. 15, 1962, she married Lawrence Bockrath and he died April 5.
Surviving are six sons and their wives, David and Deb, Robert and Joyce, Gary and Amber and Danny and Monica, all of Sidney, Larry and Belinda of St. Marys, and Allen and Carrie of St. Patrick, and two sons, Bruce of Maria Stein and Mark of Fort Loramie; four daughters, Deb of Sidney, and Mary, Molly and Cindy, all of Fort Loramie; one brother, Everett of Lima; four sisters and their husbands, Wilma and Jim Davis, Diane and Bill Heilman, Carol and Don Thomas and Judy and Earl Bodine, and a sister, Betty Bacon, all of Lima; and 29 grandchildren.
Deceased are two granddaughters.
She was a 1961 graduate of Lima Senior High School and a nursing assistant at Franklin Nursing Home, Sidney. She had previously worked as a cook for the Shelby County Head Start program.
Services will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Grand Lake St. Marys Chapel, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, the Rev. David Shepard officiating. A private burial service will be held later.
Calling is 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mackayne Beery

Rev. Raymond Grevencamp
The Rev. Raymond Grevencamp, 79, a resident of St. Charles Center, Carthagena, died Nov. 25, 2001 in the infirmary there.
He was born April 24, 1922, to Leo and Clara (Froning) Grevencamp.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Leola Grevencamp, Columbus; 16 nephews and nieces and a number of great-nephews and nieces.
Deceased are a brother and his wife, Joseph and Irene; four brothers, Paul, Eugene, Bill and the Rev. Arthur; a sister and her husband, Martha Ann and Vic Wuebker, and a sister, Sister Mary Clara. He was ordained to the priesthood March 25, 1949 at St. Charles. He was an associate pastor first at St. Joseph Church, Colfax, La., and then at St. James Church, St. Joseph, Mo., in 1952, and at St. Augustine Church, Minster, and Our Lady of Mercy Church, Dayton, in 1953. He later served as assistant chaplain at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Dayton, for eight years.
In August 1962, he was assigned to St. Mary Novitiate, Burkettsville, as director of postulants entering the Precious Blood order. Two years later he became director of brothers at St. Charles and he was named director of brother formation in Renssalear, Ind., in 1966. He also spent seven years as chaplain at Lourdes Hall of the Maria Joseph Center, Dayton, two years as associate pastor at St. Joseph Church, Dayton, and as provincial secretary. He was appointed vice rector at St. Charles in 1979 and pastor of St. Aloysius Church, Carthagena, in March 1987. He moved to St. Gaspar Church, Rome City, Ind., as pastor in 1991, a post he held until retiring in 1996.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Charles, the Rev. Angelo P. Anthony, provincial director, officiating. Burial will be in community cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at St. Charles. A prayer service is planned there at 7 p.m.

Marietta Unrast
Marietta M. Unrast, 82, 8797 Ohio 119, Maria Stein, died at 1:30 a.m. Nov. 27, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Nov. 14, 1919, in Yorkshire, to Frank and Anna (Schulze) Arling. On Sept. 14, 1941, she married Edward C. Unrast and he died Jan. 25, 1985.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Al and Carol of Yorkshire and Dave and Nancy of Maria Stein; three daughters and their husbands, Agnes and Bill McDonald, Beaverton, Mich., Cathy and Roger Hemmelgarn, Fort Recovery, and Doris and Mike Henry, Maria Stein; three brothers and their wives, Urban and Irma of North Star and Frank and Maryann and Nick and Linda, all of Osgood; three sisters and their husbands, Frieda and Art Lange, Roy, Wash., Teresa and Leroy Heyne, Coldwater, and Bonnie and Dave York, Russia; and a sister, Velma Schlater, North Star; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Louis, and two sisters, Mildred Evers and Norma Heyne.
She was a homemaker, a member of St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein and the Ladies Sodality and a former member of the Maria Stein American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
