Bernard Noll
Bernard E. Noll, 91, Sycamore Street, Coldwater, died at 3:10 p.m. Nov. 13, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born July 26, 1912, in Noble County, to Ambrose and Eva Schott Noll. On Jan. 12, 1932, he married Irene Crum who died June 26, 1999.
Surviving are five sons, Cletus of Madisonville, Ky., Lawrence Galen of Fort Loramie, Adrian (Linda) and Jerry (Carol), all of Celina, and Roger of Anna; five daughters, Susanna (Dick) Sanning, Coldwater, Bernice Hemmelgarn, Rockford, Rita (Tom) Zumberge, Curtice, Charlene (Terry) Kittle, Celina, and Marian (Duane) Kaiser, Troy; 36 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Richard; four brothers, Francis, Rome, Clyde and Harold; three sisters, Sophia Ruppel, Marie Sorg and Edna Miller; and five grandchildren.
He retired from New Idea in Coldwater. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where he formerly was an adult Mass server, and the Holy Name Society, both of Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.

Mildred Wendel
Mildred A. Wendel, 88, formerly of St. Wendelin, died at 4:25 p.m. Nov. 12, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 28, 1915, in St. Henry, to Henry and Walburga Rohrer Beyke. On Nov. 29, 1934, she married Rochus Wendel who died March 5, 1975.
Also surviving are six sons, Robert (Marilyn) and David (Eileen), all of Fort Recovery, Ronald (Karen), Donald and Ernest (Marilyn), all of St. Wendelin, and William (Marie) of Chickasaw; and seven daughters, Delores (Andy) Schlarman and Marjorie (Nick) Meier, all of St. Rose, Rita Wynk, Carthagena, Rosann (Clete) Prenger, Minster, Kathleen of St. Wendelin, Mary (Dan) Bruns, Chickasaw, and Janet Kuck, New Bremen.
Other survivors include two brothers, Clete (Wilma) Beyke, Cranberry, and Henry (Pat) Beyke, Franklin, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Beyke, Burkettsville, and Katie Beyke, Celina; 37 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons-in-law, Robert Wynk and Dave Kuck; four brothers, Jake, Albert, Bernard and Lee Beyke; a sister, Mary Goubeaux; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She had worked 12 years as a cafeteria cook in the Fort Recovery Schools. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality, both of St. Wendelin, the Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein, and Catholic Knights of America, St. Joe.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Matthew Jozefiak officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Brenda Wiss
Brenda Sue Wiss, 57, 402 W. Madison St., St. Marys, died at 6:18 p.m. Nov. 12, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born Nov. 17, 1945, in Pruden, Tenn., to Willie and Geneva Orick Davis.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Regina) Mullins, St. Marys, and Robert Wiss, Spencerville; a daughter, Terry Francis, St. Marys; a brother, Elmer (Peg) Davis, St. Marys; a sister, Opal (John) Schaefer, St. Marys; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are a brother, Michael Davis, and a grandson.
She had worked as a nursing assistant at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home and JTDM Hospital. She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a member of Good News Ministries, also of St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Elmer Davis officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Herbert Bergman
Herbert R. Bergman, 85, 2051 Ohio 716, Maria Stein, died at 11:15 a.m. Nov. 12, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Osgood, to August H. and Emma Brandewie Bergman. On Nov. 18, 1941, he married Velma Prenger who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Thomas of Beaumont, Texas, Ted (Sara) and Jon (Julie), all of Maria Stein; six daughters, JoAnn Kunkler, Carthagena, Dorothy (Donald) Wilker, Dayton, Mildred (John) Heitkamp, Tipp City, Michelle (Gary) Paulus, Vandalia, Theresa of Richland, Wash., and Janet (Kris) Darr, St. Marys.
Other survivors include a brother, Art (Ann) Bergman, Maplewood; a sister, Evelyn Kunkler, New Weston; two sisters-in-law, Wilma (Lester) Wynk and Barbara Winner, all of Osgood; 44 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Jean; a son-in-law, Donald Kunkler; two brothers, Lester and Virgil; a sister, Verena Grillot, and three grandchildren.
He was the owner and operator of Wayne Tool Company. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the Men's Sodality and the Knights of St. John, all of Maria Stein.

Mary Brunswick
Mary Catherine Brunswick, 73, formerly of North Lincoln Drive, Minster, died at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 2003, at Otterbein Retirement Community, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 5, 1930, in Sharpsburg, to Lawrence and Justina Braun Brunswick.
Surviving are four brothers, Robert (Erma) of Maria Stein, Wilfred (Verna) of Beverly Hills, Fla., John (MaDonna) of Coldwater, and Arthur (Dorothy) of Beavercreek; two sisters, Ruth Goubeaux, Versailles, and Bernice (Michael) Flaherty, Des Moines, Iowa; and two sisters-in-law, Rita Brunswick, Minster, and Mildred Brunswick, Sharpsburg.
Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
She retired from Frank Morsey & Sons Eggs in Minster. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, also of Minster.

Dale Gehle
Dale E. "Ox" Gehle, 60, 1002 N. Sugar St., Celina, died Nov. 11, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Feb. 1, 1943, in Celina, to Clarence and Alice Germann Gehle. His mother survives in Celina. On Dec. 9, 1978, he married Karen Highley Angus who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Roberta (Aaron) Wycuff, Celina; three brothers, Ben (Paula) of Lima, and Don (Bert) and Kenneth (Diane), all of Celina; three sisters, Pat (Tony) Bailey, Roanoke, Va., Emma (Ray) Tregembo, Ridge Crest, Calif., and Sue (Larry) Downam, Celina; and one grandchild.
Two brothers, Rudy and Willie, are deceased.
He retired from Southside Body Shop after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kenny Whetstone officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens.

Ruth Henning
Ruth E. Henning, 72, 20 Circle Drive, New Bremen, died at 4:20 p.m. Nov. 12, 2003, in the emergency room at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Dec. 31, 1930, in New Bremen, to Frank and Alma Topp Mueller. On Nov. 29, 1952, he married Edgar Henning who survives.
Also surviving are a son, David (Marcia) of Troy; a brother, Roger (Grace) Mueller, New Bremen; a brother-in-law, Paul (Louann) Henning, St. Marys; three sisters-in-law, Ida Deitsch, Iona Berning and Ruth (Bob) Griesdorn, all of St. Marys; and three grandsons.
She was a homemaker and a former employee of Crown Equip. New Bremen. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Bremen, where she was a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the Women's Guild and secretary of the church refund group.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial will be at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.

Myron Hoelscher
Myron W. Hoelscher, 86, 08767 Center Road, New Knoxville, died at 2:34 a.m. Nov. 12, 2003, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Aug. 14, 1917, in New Knoxville, to William and Mathilda Bierbaum Hoelscher. On April 13, 1946, he married Virginia Pitthan who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Douglas (Linda) of New Knoxville; a daughter, Deborah (Ron) Wood, Sheridan, Wyo.; two sisters, Lenora Clausing, Upper Sandusky, and Elody of Sarasota, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
A sister, Irene Kuck, is deceased.
He was a retired farmer and a Washington Township trustee for more than 20 years. He was a member and deacon at First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, and a member of the National Rifle Association, Moulton Gun Club and other shooting organizations. He graduated from New Knoxville High School in 1935.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery near New Knoxville.

David Roth
David Allan Roth, 59, of Rockford, died at 7:15 a.m. Nov. 12, 2003, at his residence following a brief illness. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Dec. 28, 1943, in Van Wert, to Richard L. and Gladys Bernice Shock Roth. He married Janelle Jacks in 1964. On Dec. 6, 1994, he married Diane Taylor Marsee and she survives.
Also surviving is a son, David A. Jr. (Julie) of Rockford; a daughter, Leah of Florida; three stepsons, John Stanziola, Rockford, Jeff (Jan) Marsee, Upland, Ind., and Michael Marsee, Montpelier, Vt.; a brother, Michael (Kim) of Decatur, Ind.; a half brother, Neal (Ann), two sisters, Jenette Wiseman, Indianapolis, Ind., a half sister, Shirley of Bluffton, Ind. and Judy (Ned) Lautzenheiser, Greencastle, Ind.; two grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
He retired as a woodworker from Mersman Brothers in Celina after 27 years of service and continued to do woodworking at his home. He was a member of the North American Hunting Club.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Bob Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Ralph Schwaberow
Ralph H. Schwaberow, 88, formerly of 105 S. Walnut St., New Bremen, died at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 11, 2003, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
He was born Nov. 24, 1914, in Benton Harbor, Mich., to Henry and Helen Bellingham Schwaberow. On Nov. 22, 1947, he married Marie J. Westerbeck who died June 6, 1994.
Surviving are a brother, Robert of St. Marys; two sisters, Margaret Truman and Lavera (Glen) Hover, both of Findlay; and a sister-in-law, Rita Westerbeck, New Bremen.
He was part owner and operator of the former Zahn's Machine and Tool Co., now known as Chickasaw Machine and Tool Co. He was a trustee and former caretaker of Schwaberow Cemetery near New Bremen.
He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Bremen, a member and past commander of New Bremen American Legion Post 241, and a member and past president of both the New Bremen Senior Citizens and Woodman of the World Camp 149. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial will follow at Schwaberow Cemetery.
