Ronald Orval Edwards, 69, 215 Burt St., Van Wert, died at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 30, 2000 at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Cuyahoga Falls, to Orval Henry and Anna May (Callahan) Edwards. On April 27, 1957, he married Shirley A. Huffman, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Steven and Shelly of Ohio City; a daughter and her husband, Sonna and Ray Seibert, Van Wert; a sister and her husband, Marge and Robert Long, Ohio City; and two grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Jeanne Bard.
He was retired from General Dynamics Army Tank Plant, Lima, and was a former employee of Chrysler-Amplex, Van Wert. He was U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Ohio City United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 346, Ohio City, and Van Wert Lodge 218, F.&A.M. He was past master of Eureka Lodge 592, and was a 1949 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Douglas Stockton officiating. Burial with graveside services conducted by the American Legion is at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 8 p.m.

Ann Moore
Ann Moore, 85, died at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 30, 2000 at her residence at 212 Jill Ave., Celina.
She was born July 31, 1915, in Clay County, Ky., to Henry and Elizabeth (Hampton) Buttery. On Sept. 27, 1941, she married J.P. Moore, who survives.
Other survivors are three daughters and their husbands, Pam and Fred Hirschfeld, and Karen and Bill Werntz, all of Celina, and Susan and Lee Simon, Salem; a sister, Sopha Bertram, Cincinnati; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers and a sister.
She was a homemaker.
Memorial services are 7 p.m. Saturday at Abounding Grace Church of God, Celina, the Rev. Rick Brosher officiating. Private graveside services will be held Friday at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Friends will be received at the church Saturday from 6-7 p.m.
There will be no visitation.

Thomas Bidwell
Thomas L. Bidwell, 68, 37 Southmoor Shores, St. Marys, died at 10:25 a.m. Dec. 1, 2000 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born July 27, 1932, in Greenville to Kenneth R. and Catharine (Wilt) Bidwell. On April 5, 1979, he married Zita Kobel, who survives near St. Marys.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Chris and Lisa of Dayton; a daughter and her husband, Paula and Richard Hutchins, Belen, N.M.; two stepsons and their wives, Sam and Laura Dixon, Corona, Calif., and Randy and Carolyn Dixon, Cincinnati; a stepdaughter, Teresa Roberts, St. Marys; a sister and her husband, Pat and Robert Dieringer, Versailles; and eight grandchildren.
He retired from Crown Equipment Corp. of New Bremen in 1995 after serving as executive vice president and is credited with developing and marketing the first Crown lift truck products. He was a current member of the board of directors and a special consultant for Crown Equipment Corp. He served as president of the Industrial Truck Association.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen.

Willie Johnson
Willie L. "Bud" Johnson, 74, 834 Third Ave., Sidney, died at 3:28 p.m. Nov. 30, 2000, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.
He was born May 3, 1926, in Trion, Ga., to Walter and Alice (Stanford) Johnson. He married Irene McCluskey who died March 23, 1971. He married Callean Cheatham who died Oct. 13, 1997. On Oct. 24, 1998, he married Judith A. Reichert who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Willie Jr. and Robert R., both of Lima, and Franklin of Sidney; a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Glen Laba, Yorkshire, and a daughter, Glenda White, Sidney; a stepson, John Stuart, Cheyenne, Wyo.; two brothers, Bill of Rossville, Ga. and Curtis of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three sisters, Mary Ellen Clark and Bertha Burse, both of Rossville, Ga., and Joan Pointer, Chattanooga, Tenn.; 34 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, two brothers and a grandson.
He worked at Ross Aluminum and Gartland Hazwell, operated Willie's Produce and L & M Market and a stand at the Farmer's Market, all of Sidney. He was a member of Mt. Zion House of Prayer.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Jerry Burse and Ernest Wilson officiating. Burial is at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.

Lloyd Robbins
Lloyd E. Robbins, 72, 1209 Canterbury Drive, Celina, died at 3:10 a.m. Dec. 1, 2000 at Veterans Administration Hospital, Marion, Ind.
He was born Jan. 4, 1928, in Celina to Harry and Ica (Miller) Robbins. On Sept. 3, 1951, he married Dolores Stammen.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, David and Kimberly of Celina; a daughter, Elaine of Celina; a brother and his wife, Junior L. and Helen of St. Marys; two sisters and their husbands, Margaret and William Hawkey, Celina, and Doris and Joe Severns, Mendon; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Evon Robbins, and infant brother and sister, and a stepmother, Salome Robbins.
He was retired from the former Huffy Bicycles of Celina and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and a 1946 graduate of Celina High School.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Richard R. Riedel officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.

Lois Sheffer
Lois M. Sheffer, 80, 1305 Sunny Glenn Court Bluffton, Ind., died Dec. 1, 2000 at Meadowvale Nursing Home, Bluffton, Ind.
She was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Oklahoma, to Clyde and Vada (Ankney) Stauffer. On June 10, 1942, she married Jesse V. Sheffer who died Nov. 13, 1970.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Phillip V. and Doris of Fort Recovery; two daughters and their husbands, Rebecca L. and James Borne, Ossian, Ind., and Carol K. and James Flowers, Bluffton, Ind.; a brother and his wife, John J. and Barbara Stauffer, Coalinga, Calif.; a sister and her husband, Ina A. and Fred Fisher, St. Marys; seven grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
She worked for the former Jay Garment Co. and in the records office of the Jay County Hospital, both of Portland, Ind.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, Ind., the Rev. Mark Strietelmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mary Bader
Mary Evelyn Bader, 75, 929 Frahm Pike, Celina, died at 4:45 a.m. Dec. 2, 2000 at The Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.
She was born April 24, 1925, in Mercer County, to Edward H. and Florence C. (Martz) Bader.
Survivors include two brothers and their wives, Robert and Dorothy, and William and Edith, all of Rockford; a sister and her husband, Carol and Orville Eischen, Celina; and a sister-in-law, Mary H. of Celina.
Deceased are a brother, Larry "Henry," a sister, Wanda Deitsch, and a brother-in-law, Vilas Deitsch.
She was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rockford.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. John Moffett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Monday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
