Ernest Dues
Ernest L. Dues, 86, 318 Northview Drive, Coldwater, died at 12:36 a.m. Dec. 2, 2000 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born April 1, 1914, in Coldwater, to John and Philomena (Braun) Dues. On Feb. 28, 1942, he married Helen L. Lindeman, who survives in Coldwater.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Mark and Marilyn of Beavercreek; a daughter, Becky Puff, Kettering; a sister, Nora Davis, Celina; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Marcella Murphy and Helen Kinkley, and two brothers, Urban and Wilfred "Joe."
He owned and operated Duesy's Meat Markets in Dayton, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and American Legion Post 470, both of Coldwater.
Private family services will be held.

Dillon Eichenauer
Dillon E. Eichenauer, 75, 1204 Frahm Pike, Celina, died at 5:30 a.m. Dec. 3, 2000 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Celina, to Harold and Barbara (Ferguson) Eichenauer. On Sept. 7, 1947, he married Marcella "Sally" Siebert, who survives.
Other survivors are three daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Thomas Kimmel, Celina, Brenda and Terry Harmon, Convoy, and Marcia and Dennis Hoffhines, Rockford; a brother and his wife, Stanley and Shomy of Dayton; eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Deceased is a sister, Esther Brandon.
He was a retired farmer, served on the Hopewell Township Board of Trustees for 16 years, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, American Legion Post 210, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1473, all of Celina, and Public Employees Retirement Association. He was a 1942 graduate of Celina High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial is at Buck Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Katherine Keith
Former St. Marys resident Katherine L. Keith, 32, 1737 Lucille Drive, Apt. 1D, Lima, died following a brief illness at 9:50 a.m. Dec. 1, 2000 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 23, 1968, in St. Marys, to William and Margaret (Lee) Keith. Her mother survives in St. Marys.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jasmine of Lima; four brothers, Doug and Dave, both of St. Marys, Allen of Chicago, Ill., and Mike of Lima; a sister and her husband, Diane and Chris Fillmore, Dayton; a stepbrother, Bill of Lima; and a stepsister, Marlene of Lima.
Deceased is her father.
She was employed at Meijer Store, Lima, and was a member of Community Baptist Church, Lima. She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 1 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Mel Woodard officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Elenora Knapke
Elenora J. Knapke, 83, 2649 St. Johns Road, Maria Stein, died at 11:15 p.m. Dec. 1, 2000 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 23, 1917, in St. Rose, to John and Bernadine (Leugers) Hartings. On Aug. 21, 1943, she married Leander Knapke, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Louis and Mary, and Ivo and Pam, all of Maria Stein, and two sons, Tom and Jerry, both of Maria Stein; four daughters and their husbands, Rosemary and Anthony Fullenkamp, Fort Loramie, Rita and Bob Niekamp, New Bremen, Ann and David Long, Findlay, and Emily and Mike Koesters, Maria Stein; three brothers and their wives, Wilfred and Len of Celina, Vernon and Arlene of Maria Stein, and Leo and Beverly of Shelby; a sister and her husband, Doris and Gene Imwalle, Maria Stein, and two sisters, Freda Mescher and Alice Moorman, both of Minster; 28 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Alfred, Richard and Ivo, and a sister, Norma Thobe.
She was a homemaker, and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Emil Labbe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, with a prayer service at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.
E. Genevieve Bruns
E. Genevieve Bruns, 92, 311 S. Sugar St., Celina, died Dec. 4, 2000 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born May 15, 1908, in New York City, to William and Elizabeth (Dignan) O'Neil. On Aug. 15, 1936, she married Arthur J. Bruns, who died Dec. 4, 1970.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Arthur and Geraldine of Carmel, Ind.; a daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" of Celina; a daughter-in-law, Judy of Fort Wayne, Ind.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, William J.
She was a retired school teacher and had taught at Immaculate Conception's grade school and Marion Local school system. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and Mercer County Retired Teacher's Association. She was a graduate of St. Mary's College in South Bend, Ind.
Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.

William Martz
William H. Martz, 91, 219 Morton St., Celina, died at 11:14 p.m. Dec. 2, 2000 at Select Specialty Hospital West, Columbus.
He was born March 17, 1909, in Mercer County, to William and Alvina (Snavely) Martz. On June 8, 1929, he married Arvesta Andrew, who died March 15, 1999.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Steve and Michelle of Paris, Ky.; a daughter and her husband, Pat and Clete Hone, Wood Dale, Ill., and a daughter, Jean Anderson, Celina; a sister, Gladys Laux, Celina; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five sisters, Ethel Howell, Icy Fetters, Edith Siler, Florence Bader and Mary Brown, and an infant brother, Andrew.
He was a retired employee of the City of Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Stephen L. Dunn officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.

Julius Tumbush
Julius B. Tumbush, 89, 314 E. Walnut St., Coldwater, died at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 2, 2000 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born July 24, 1911, in St. Henry, to Henry and Frances (Wimmers) Tumbush. On May 13, 1939, he married Eleanor Schoen, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Richard and Janelle of Montezuma, and a son, James of Coldwater; a daughter and her husband, Joan and Denis Gasson, St. Marys; a sister, Sister Clara Tumbush, C.PP.S., Dayton; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are seven brothers and a sister.
He was retired from New Idea, Coldwater, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its Men's Holy Name Society, Coldwater.

Leonard Stump
Leonard Stump, 74, died Dec. 3, 2000 at his residence at 821 Peters Road, Fort Recovery.
He was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Darke County, to Simon and Sarah (Coby) Stump. He married Erma Lewis, who survives.
Other survivors include a son and his wife, Jim and Nancy of Fort Recovery; a daughter, Janet Bolin, Union City; six brothers, Clarence of New Weston, Leon of Fort Recovery, Bob and Roscoe, both of Union City, Carl of LaGrange, Ind., and Alvin of Rushville, Ind.; three sisters, Bernice Moneysmith, Union City, Loretta McClannan and Esta Kiser, both of New Weston; a grandson and two great-grandsons.
Deceased is a brother, Marvin.
He was retired from the former New Idea, Coldwater, and was a member of New Idea Retirees and United Steel Workers.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reichard Funeral Home Inc., Union City, Ind., the Rev. Darby Livingston officiating. Burial is at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.

Linda Miller
Linda Lou Miller, 50, 144 Terrace Ave., Coldwater, died of natural causes at 3:50 a.m. Dec. 5, 2000 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born Feb. 20, 1950, in Celina, to B.J. and Barbara (Byrley) Bailey. On Feb. 20, 1974, she married O.C. "Shorty" Miller, who died June 23, 1994.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Ronald and Julie of Coldwater; a daughter and her husband, Kimberly and David Hale, Wapakoneta, and three daughters, Rebecca Howard, Celina, Rosalind Snow and Misty Miller, both of Coldwater; a brother and his wife, Derwin and Billie Bailey, Wapakoneta; four sisters and their husbands, Brenda and Steve Freymuth, and Debra and Rick Brown, all of Wapakoneta, Sheila and Gary Clark, Celina, and Robin and Mark Grandstaff, Coldwater, and a sister, Betty Comer, Wapakoneta; 11 grandchildren and a stepgrandchild.
Deceased is a brother, Darrell Dean Bailey.
She was a nurses aid at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
