Grace Warnock
Grace M. Warnock, 81, formerly of 111 S. Garfield St., Minster, died at 4 p.m. Dec. 29, 2000 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, where she had been a resident for 18 months.
She was born Jan. 13, 1919, in Minster to Harry and Florence E. (Thobe) Woehrmyer. On Oct. 25, 1940, she married Howard B. Warnock, who died June 22, 1980.
Survivors are a daughter, Kathryn of Minster; a daughter and her husband, Marsha and John Oldiges, St. Marys; a sister, Violet Vander Horst, Mount Vernon; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
Deceased is a brother.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. She was also a member of the Minster Guild.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Monday and 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.

Margaret Hemmelgarn
Margaret "Peg" Hemmelgarn, 77, 2270 U.S. 127, St. Henry, died at 3:50 a.m. Nov. 30, 2001 at Dayton Heart Hospital.
She was born May 16, 1924, in Wendelin, to Thomas and Dora (Rammel) Hart. On June 30, 1945, she married Andy Hemmelgarn who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Thomas and Carol of Cassella, and Vic and Deb of St. Henry; three daughters and their husbands, Carol and Ron Muhlenkamp and Dee and Dan Fullenkamp, all of Coldwater, and Lora and Stan Wilson, Kettering; four brothers and their wives, Linus and Emma Hart, George and Anna Marie Hart, and Leo and Dorothy Hart, all of Fort Recovery, and Al and Donna Hart of Celina; a sister and her husband, Ann and Joe Berning, Minster; a sister-in-law, Jean Hart, St. Henry; a brother-in-law and his wife, Leroy and Mildred Hemmelgarn of Celina; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Teresa and Albert Steinbrunner, Fort Recovery, and Wilma and Cy Everman, Maria Stein, and two sisters-in-law, Bertha Dippold, Cassella, and Clara Grube, Fort Recovery; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Ivan; a daughter, Mary; a brother, John; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Clarence Quinter; and a sister-in-law, Leona Hartings.
She was a homemaker and former co-owner of The Fountain Inn, St. Henry. She was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and its Ladies Sodality of the parish and Bereavement Ministry. She was a member of the Catholic Knights of America, Cassella.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Dec. 3 at the church, the Rev. Fred Ryder officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.

Eunice Nix
Eunice T. Nix, 94, 2011 Eagle Brooke, Celina, died Nov. 30, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Dec. 30, 1906, in Jersey, Ga., to David Augustus Newton and Sally (Powell) Thomas. On March 18, 1933, she married Preston S. Nix who is deceased.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Richard T. and Linda of Baxley, Ga.; two daughters and their husband, Nancy E. and Ernest Bartlett, Cumming, Ga., and Carolyn R. and W. Michael, Celina, and a daughter, Martha A. Beckum, Forsyth, Ga.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is the last surviving sibling of 11 children; deceased are a son, a daughter, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
She was retired from Hurt & Quinn Insurance Co., Atlanta, Ga.
Funeral services are Monday.
Calling will be held at Monroe Memorial Chapel, Forsyth, Ga.

Randy Schroer
Randy J. Schroer, 41, 705 Lilac St., Coldwater, died of natural causes at 8:56 p.m. Nov. 29, 2001, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Aug. 21, 1960, in Coldwater, to Joseph H. and Loretta (Roessner) Schroer. His mother survives in Coldwater.
Other survivors are three sisters and their wives, Cindy and Gary Schmiesing, Portland, Ind., Brenda and Chuck Smith, Rockford, and Melissa and John Hilgeford, Cassella; and several nieces and nephews.
He had worked at the former Huffy Bicycle Corp. in Celina, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Cassella, the Rev. Frederick Ryder officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
Christina Medaugh
Christina Joanna Medaugh, 40, 332 Northview Drive, Coldwater, died of natural causes Dec. 1, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
She was born March 27, 1961, in Celina to Robert L. Ballinger and Marilyn (Rogers) Ballinger-Lauth. Her mother survives in Sebring, Fla., along with the stepfather, Ron Lauth.
Surviving are her husband, Lynn Medaugh; eight sons, Jeff Schott Jr., Chicago, Ill., Tom, Matt and Derrick Schott, all of Celina; Chad and Brad, both of Dayton, and Eric and Keith, both of Celina; a brother and his wife, Donald and Shelly Ballinger, Coldwater; one sister and her husband, Kimberly and Craig Tingley, and a sister, Melody Mouser, all of Celina; two stepbrothers and their wives, Craig and Renee Lauth, St. Marys, and Brent and Charla Lauth, New Knoxville; and a sister-in-law and her husband, Reana and Eric Onnen, Fort Wayne, Ind., and a sister-in-law, Ynda Roth, Toledo.
Deceased are her father, Robert L. Ballinger and her brother, Dan Ballinger.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. There is no calling Wednesday morning prior to the service.
Vernon Schnarre
Vernon F. "Sonny" Schnarre, 77, 425 Parker St., St. Marys, died at 9 a.m. Dec. 2, 2001 at his son's residence in Montpelier. He had been ill for some time.
He was born Jan. 28, 1924, in St. Marys, to Vernon Sr. and Martha (Hilgeman) Schnarre. On Aug. 24, 1947, he married Elizabeth Louise Dicke and she died Jan. 6, 1979.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Stephen and Elaine of Montpelier; a daughter, Sharon of Toledo; a sister, Wilma Kuenning, Celina; two granddaughters and two stepgrandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, John, and a sister, Roberta Oxtender.
He retired as a machinist from Parker-Hannifin Corp., St. Marys. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, flying more than 50 combat missions as a tailgunner over the European Theatre during World War II. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and the Men's Garden Club, both of St. Marys. He also judged numerous flower shows in the area.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Patricia Minnick officiating. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Randy Schroer

Rosemary Vagedes
Rosemary Vagedes, 95, formerly of St. Anthony, died at 4:05 p.m. Dec. 2, 2001 at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater, where she resided.
She was born Nov. 3, 1906, in Celina, to Oscar and Rebecca (Barley) Browder. On Nov. 24, 1923, she married Herman Vagedes and he died March 16, 1982.
Surving are two sons and their wives, Thomas and Gloria Vagedes and Charles and Carol Kirk, all of Coldwater; two daughters and their husbands, Charline and Victor S. May, New Weston, and Eleanor and Leo Berning, Maria Stein; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, five sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, the Altar-Rosary Sodality of the church, Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein, and the Community Hospital Respiratory Association, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt and Deacon Greg Bornhorst officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

C. Kenneth Weir
Former Celina resident C. Kenneth Weir, 86, 2414 Sandlewood Lane, Orange City, Fla., died at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 1, 2001 at his residence.
He was born July 7, 1915, in Celina, to Henry C. and Della (Searight) Weir. On Aug. 17, 1947, he married Mary Ann Shiverdecker and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter and her husband, Mindy and Dean Heyne, and a daughter, Lugene Homan, all of Centerville; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Ronald Homan, and a brother, George.
He retired from Mersman Brothers, Celina, and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and a life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of the Moose, all of Celina. He had received the Pilgrim Degree from the Moose.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Donald Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Delorius Beemer
Delorius M. Beemer, 80, 221 Norton St., Rossburg, died Dec. 3, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born July 18, 1921, in Darke County, to John and Virgie (Zeller) Rodeheffer. Her husband, William R. Beemer, died April 18, 1981.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Thelma and Don Loxley, Greenville, and Joyce and Arthur Stukenborg, St. Henry; a brother, Daniel Rodeheffer, Sidney; three sisters, Dora Howard, Greenville, Dorsa McCullough, Versailles, and Delma Shepherd, Union City, Ind.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, David Rodeheffer, and four sisters, Delcie Moody, Dortha Braymeier, Deffie Miley and Desta Anthony.
She retired from the Lambert Corp., Ansonia, and attended Rossburg United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Versailles.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Oliver Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Ed Brown officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
