Marjorie Gilbert
Marjorie C. Gilbert, 69, of Celina, died at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 27, 2004, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 29, 1934, in Cleveland, to Henry and Florence Stockbridge Cooke. On Oct. 25, 1952, she married Clark Miles Gilbert who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald (Cindy) of Lima and Daniel (Zhenlin) of Akron; a daughter, Diane (Todd) Boughan, Lima; a sister, Gail (Paul) Mullins, Brunswick; seven grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, a great-granddaughter and six stepgreat-grandsons.
Services are 8 p.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating.
Calling is 2:30-4:30 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Donald Geiger
Donald Geiger, 54, 702 S. Wayne St., St. Marys, was found dead Jan. 25, 2004, at his residence. Auglaize County Coroner Dr. Thomas Freytag ruled death was due to a heart attack.
He was born Sept. 1, 1949, in Decatur, Ind., to Fred and Alma Thieme Geiger. His mother, a former St. Marys resident, survives in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Also surviving is a sister, Jean (Dan) Hoffman, Fort Wayne; and three nieces.
Deceased is a brother, Robert.
He was a college professor who taught business and American studies in the Peace Corps, at Findlay College and at City University in Slovenia and Slovakia. A 1967 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a graduate of Ohio State University, he served in the U.S. Army.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Jean Huddleston
Jean Huddleston, 75, 501 Linden Ave., St. Marys, died at 8 a.m. Jan. 25, 2004, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Reliance, Tenn., to Ellis and Effie Harkins Russell. On Aug. 19, 1944, she married Ernest Huddleston who survives at the St. Marys Living Center.
Other survivors are three daughters, Susan (Dwight) Wolfe, Lynn (Ralph) Ruth, and Vicki Keck, all of St. Marys; three sisters, Lois Fortner, Elsie Fortner and Helen Sanders, all of Bryan; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Geneva Russell and a granddaughter.
She was a charter member of the Hillsdale Baptist Church, St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Ron Spurgeon and Allan Sanders officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Byron Jenkins
Former Celina resident Byron R. Jenkins, 80, a resident of Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, died at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 25, 2004, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Oct. 14, 1923, in Mercer County, to Russell and Nancy Stoll Jenkins. On Aug. 3, 1955, he married Ruth Evelyn who died March 1, 2002.
Survivors are two sons, Michael (Donna) Gehm, and James (Bianka) Jenkins, all of Celina; a daughter, Brenda Anderson, Rockford; a brother, Bevan (Betty) of Celina; two sisters, Violet (Raymond) Wells, Waco, Texas, and Ruby of Union City; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He retired in 1985 from the former Huffy Bicycle Co., Celina. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post 5713, Celina, and a member of Celina First Church of God.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at W. H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, Pastor Bruce Strine officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. Military services will be performed by the VFW and American Legion honor guards.

Romilda Prenger
Romilda C. Prenger, 79, 6546 Wells Road, Anna, died at 11:05 a.m. Jan. 26, 2004, at her home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1924, in Osgood, to Frank and Anna Winner Poeppelman. On Oct. 16, 1946, she married Raymond C. Prenger who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Gary (Karen) of Strongsville; four daughters, Nancy (Robert) Roetgerman, New Bremen, Donna (Larry) DeLoye, Fort Loramie, Julie (Mike) Kirkwood, Lebanon, and Jean (Robert) Freeman, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Edwin (Rose Mary) Poeppelman and Victor (Sylvia) Poeppelman, all of Osgood; seven sisters, Caroline Cron, Boise, Idaho, Emelia Poeppelman, Dayton, Irene of Egypt, Alfrieda (Norbert) Puthoff, Versailles, Mary Ann (Victor) Baumer and Theresa Will, Minster, and Jean (Jim) Ebert, Columbia, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, an infant son, Marvin, and an infant brother.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She also was a member of the Shelby County Bureau.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Mark Armstrong officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Hulda Wehrkamp
Hulda M. "Skeeter" Wehrkamp, 89, Woodview Drive, Coldwater, died at 4:18 a.m. Jan. 25, 2004, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Fort Recovery, to Bernard and Frances Tobe Fullenkamp. On March 5, 1935, she married Julius Wehrkamp who died April 18, 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia (Rex) Boyer, Montezuma; a brother, Dick (Donna) Fullenkamp, Lima; a sister, Ruth (Bob) Jenkins, Florida; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
She was the former owner and operator of Wehrkamp's Beauty Shop and Buck's Tavern, both of Montezuma, and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery, Montezuma.

Cristofora Berlanga
Cristofora Berlanga, 87, of Ohio City, died at 2:35 p.m. Jan. 24, 2004, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Aug. 18, 1916, in Cameron, Texas, to Cesari and Jesusa Facaunds Garcia. On Nov. 25, 1935, she married Francisco S. Berlanga who died July 3, 1982.
Surviving are five sons, Frank Jr. of Shepherdsville, Ky., Santos of Rockford, Joe (Janet) of Pontiac, Mich., Richard and Lupe, both of Ohio City; six daughters, Rosa (Juan) Palomina, Defiance, Josephine (Robert) Gonzales, Fort Pierce, Fla., Adelina, Janie Rose and Florie Bollenbacher, all of Rockford, and Olivia (Richard) Ortiz, Decatur, Ind.; two sisters, Angelina Rocha, California, and Bennie Rodriguez, Texas; 32 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Juan and Roy; two brothers, two sisters and three grandsons.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Rockford.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
