Margaret Schoch
Coldwater native Margaret F. Schoch, 87, formerly of Portland, Ind., died at 10 a.m. Jan. 1, 2004, at Swiss Village, Berne, Ind.
She was born Jan. 24, 1916, in Coldwater, to John and Mary Boeckman Goecke. On May 4, 1946, she married Thomas Schoch who died Sept. 11, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, James (Nurinalda) of Mount Vernon and John (Agnes) of Genva, Ind.; a daughter, Patricia (James) Kaufman, Columbus; two sisters, Clotilda Muhlenkamp, Anna, and Rita Schaefer, St. Anthony; six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Gregory and Urban Goecke, and two sisters, Ida Moeller and Emma Dorsten, are deceased.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality, both of St. Anthony.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. A prayer service will be held there at 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
Joseph Sheets
Joseph R. Sheets, 76, of Celina, formerly of Dayton, died at 3:46 p.m. Dec. 30, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Feb. 28, 1927, in Dayton, to James K. and Lauretta G. Heck Sheets. On May 9, 1953, he married Lois E. Hull who survives.
Also surviving are a son, David of Sydney, Australia; three daughters, Teresa (John) Shaw, Olive Branch, Miss., Connie (Mark) Collins, Van Wert, and Belinda (Terry) Kutter, Centerville; two brothers, James K. (Berneal) of Trotwood, and Gene (Ruth) of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
One sister is deceased.
He retired from Sears as an appliance repairman in 1989 and served with the U.S. Army Air Force in the European Theatre during World War II. He attended Mount Tabor Church of God, Rockford, and was a member of Solar Masonic Lodge, Dayton, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Brookville.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Jim Keiser officiating.
Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, has charge of arrangements. There is no visitation.

Harry Bollenbacher
Harry M. Bollenbacher, 72, died at 10:27 p.m. Jan. 30, 2001 at his residence at 625 W. Fulton St., Celina.
He was born March 17, 1928, in Blackcreek Twp., to Benjamin and Rosa (Trisel) Bollenbacher. On Oct. 24, 1964, he married Louise Drake, who died Dec. 15, 1990.
Survivors include two sisters and their husbands, Bernice and Herb Fahncke, and Clara and Ted Brinkman, all of Celina, and a sister, Martha Deitsch, Coldwater.
Deceased is a brother, Roland.
He was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and was a 1946 graduate of Rockford High School.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Chris Adams officiating. Burial is at Tomlinson Cemetery, Mendon.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Violet Graham
Violet V. Graham, 95, died at 6 a.m. Jan. 31, 2001 at her residence at 415 W. Warren St., Celina.
She was born Aug. 30, 1905, near Celina, to John and Caroline (Stallbaum) Schwarck. On Nov. 19, 1929, she married Joseph Graham, who died April 9, 1993.
Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.
Deceased are six brothers and three sisters.
She and her husband had formerly owned and operated Joe and Vi's Cottages on West Bank Road and a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Shop, both in Celina. She was a member of Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, Celina.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Kathleen Hayes officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Franklin Vann
Franklin D. Vann, 59, died at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 1, 2001 at his residence at 3473 Rockford West Rockford, following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 5, 1941, in Knoxville, Tenn., to John H. and Ethel (Davis) Vann. His mother survives in La Follette, Tenn. On June 21, 1961, he married Dorothy F. Lawson, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, John and Nikkie of Van Wert; a daughter and her husband, Monica and Rick Kittle, Willshire, and a daughter, Peggy Ridder, Rockford; a brother and his wife, Fred and Gloria of Rockford; a sister and her husband, Donna and Eddie Haulk, Sterling Heights, Mich., and a sister, Betty Whitted, Rockford; and 10 grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Sue, a brother, John H., and a son-in-law, Keith Ridder.
He was retired as a forklift operator at Decatur Casting in Indiana.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Karen Long officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Leona Brown
Leona R. Brown, 90, died at 8:50 p.m. Feb. 1, 2001 at her residence at 440 Touvelle St., Lot 37, Celina.
She was born Dec. 8, 1910, in Celina, to Lewis and Elizabeth (Aufderhar) Suhr. On Jan. 12, 1929, she married Elbridge Enyart, who died Jan. 14, 1946. On Aug. 26, 1948, she married Robert Brown, who died Sept. 23, 1986.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and James Treece, Defiance, and Sarah and DeWane Eichenauer, Sidney; a stepson and his wife, Paul and Rose Mary of Celina; 16 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren, 17 step-greatgrandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three sons, Charles, Lowell and Jim Enyart, a daughter, Beth Ann, a brother and two sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Carmel Church of God, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Revs. Norman Folk and Mark Wakeland officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Marian Kohler
Marian H. Kohler, 90, 312 E. Auglaize St., Wapakoneta, died at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 1, 2001 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Nov. 20, 1910, in Toledo, to William and Cora (Kegley) Gray. On June 27, 1935, she married Bernard A. Pfenning, who died March 14, 1950. On Aug. 8, 1956, she married Henry F. Kohler, who died Sept. 3, 1988.
Survivors are a son and his wife, James F. and Janis Pfenning, Green Valley, Ariz.; three daughters and their husbands, Judith Pfenning and Roger Place, Toledo, Susan Pfenning and Ernest Rice, Farmington Hills, Mich., and Kristine Pfenning and Daniel Havens, Lima; a brother, Richard Gray, Toledo; two sisters, Elizabeth Clark and Virginia Eischen, both of Toledo; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Cecilia Pfenning Pohlabel, and a brother, William Gray.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, K of C Council 1272 Auxiliary, and two card clubs, all of Wapakoneta. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Toledo.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Feb. 17 at the church, the Rev. William Eilerman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
