Mary Hoying
Mary C. Hoying, 77, died Feb. 10, 2001 at her residence at 156 Ridgeview, Greenville.
She was born March 5, 1923, in Burkettsville, to Joseph and Rose (Rammel) Kaup. Her husband, Jerome H. Hoying, survives.
Other survivors are four sons and their wives, Jack and Sherry of Englewood, Bob and Joan of St. Louis, Mo., Jim and Cindy of Tampa, Fla., and Fred and Sharon of Greenville, and a son, Randy of Cincinnati; two daughters and their husbands, Sandy and Charlie McFarland, and Sharon and Bill Westfall, all of Greenville; two brothers, Ralph Kaup, Lakeview, and Mark Kaup, Virginia Beach, Va.; 11 grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren, a great-grandson, and several stepgreat-granchildren.
She was retired from the Darke County Treasurer's office and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Wayne Hospital Auxiliary, all of Greenville.
Burial is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. John White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Oliver Funeral Home, Greenville, with prayer services at 3:45 p.m.

Robert Kuhn
Robert E. Kuhn, 69, 533 Cron St., Celina, died at 8:10 p.m. Feb. 9, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Dec. 30, 1931, near Chattanooga, to Herbert and Viola (Bollenbacher) Kuhn. On June 3, 1961, he married Marie Fleck, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Ronald and Pam, and a son, Kevin, all of Celina; two brothers and their wives, Vernon and Vera of Rockford, and Chalmer and Patricia of Celina, and a brother, Orville of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister and her husband, Delilah and Paul Hays, Rockford, and two sisters, Dorothy Rupert, Clearwater, Fla., and Carol Jean Graves, St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Susan of Rockford; and three grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Gerald.
He retired from AGCO Corp in Coldwater and served in the U. S. Army. He was a graduate of Willshire High School and a member of the Celina Church of the Nazarene.
Private family services will be held at a later date at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina, the Rev. Larry Hamilton officiating.
There will be no visitation.
George Link
George F. Link, 76, 4821 Karafit Road, Celina, died at 2:08 a.m. Feb. 12, 2001 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Cassella, to August and Anna (Lennartz) Link. On Sept. 27, 1947, he married Nellie O'Brien, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, Paul J. of Celina; two brothers, Edward of Sidney, and Gustave of Fort Recovery; and two sisters, Mary Ann Klosterman, Fort Recovery, and Victoria of Celina.
Deceased are two daughters, Sarah Jane and Virginia Ann, and three brothers, Leonard, Meinard and Roman.
He was a retired furnace operator at Minster Machine.
Memorial services are 7 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating.
There will be no visitation.

Florentina Niekamp
Florentina M. Niekamp, 89, 3683 Cassella-Montezuma Road, Celina, died at 5:35 p.m. Feb. 9, 2001 at The Gardens Nursing Home, St. Henry.
She was born Feb. 5, 1912, in St. Henry, to Charles and Catherine (Hein) Link. On May 27, 1933, she married Albert P. Niekamp, who died March 20, 1992.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Joyce and Ronald Deger, Dayton, and a daughter, Shelva Etgen, Celina; two sons and their wives, Darrel and Connie, and Barry and Linda, all of Celina; three sisters-in-law, Joan Feldhake and Agnes Link, both of Coldwater, and Vera Niekamp, Minster; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Ernie and Ray, and a grandchild.
She was a homemaker, and a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, Adoration Guild, and Prayer Chain, and the Ladies Uniform Rank of the Knights of St. John Auxiliary, both of Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. John Bensman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Gayle Plom
Gayle Ann Plom, 40, 116 S. Mill St., Coldwater, died from injuries sustained in an auto accident at 1:59 p.m. Feb. 9, 2001 at Ohio 364 and Lock Two Road.
She was born April 10, 1960, in Greenville, to Roger and Shirley (Kinnison) Long, both whom survive. On June 28, 1997, she married Bradford William Plom, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Samantha and Denver Boyd, both of Union City; a brother, Jay Long, Union City; four sisters, Brenda Long, Union City, Linda Mogel, Greenville, Chris Ralidak, West Milton, and Kathy Long, unknown address.
She was employed at The Dannon Co. Inc. in Minster.
Services are 1 p.m. today at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, the Rev. Kathleen Hayes officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is after noon today at the funeral home.
Clyde Rauch
Clyde E. "Tiny" Rauch, 79, of Lima, died at 12:40 a.m. Feb. 11, 2001 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Van Wert County, to Reuben and Bessie (Wollam) Rauch. On March 14, 1942, he married Mary E. Stuber, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter and her husband, Bonnie J. and Lee E. McCullough, Wheaton, Ill., and a daughter, E. Suzanne Hall, Van Wert; two sons and their wives, Clyde R. and Kay E., and Gordon H. and Connie J., all of Lima; a brother and his wife, Howard and Berneice of Mesa, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Deceased is a sister, Dorothy Lindsay.
He worked at Tuttle Construction Co., Lima, beginning as a carpenter/millwright, later serving as general field superintendent, then vice president. He later owned the company with his son. He was a professional auctioneer in the Van Wert area. He was a former member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Van Wert, and was a member of Gideons International. He attended Shawnee Alliance Church, Lima, and was a 1939 honors graduate of York High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shawnee Alliance Church, the Rev. Daniel E. Messner officiating. Burial is at Tomlinson Cemetery, northwest of Mendon.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. today and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville.

Althea Staugler
Althea J. Staugler, 74, 1100 Myers Road, Celina, died at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 10, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born March 25, 1926, in Celina, to Robert L. and Eva A. (Hill) Hole. On June 21, 1953, she married Eugene Staugler, who died Dec. 3, 1976.
Survivors are two sons and their wives, Charles and Troas, and Walter and Tina, all of Celina; three brothers and their wives, Lloyd and Wanda Hole, St. Marys, Frank and Barbara Hole, Fort Wayne, Ind., and David and Debra Hole, Celina; three sisters and their husbands, Marie and Kenneth Laux, Celina, Mary Alice and Kenneth Reid, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Marjorie and Norman Tidwell, New Bremen; two sisters-in-law, Jennie Hole, Celina, and Regina Hole, Bellingham, Mass.; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Richard, and two brothers, Robert and Merrill Hole.
She was retired from the former Mersman Brothers, Celina, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial is at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Carthagena.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
