Don Tomberlin
Don E. Tomberlin, 68, died at 3:50 p.m. Feb. 11, 2001 at his residence at 808 Parkway Drive, St. Marys.
He was born June 12, 1932, in Garnett, Kan., to Archie and Cora (Edmond) Tomberlin. He was married to Susan Stephenson, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Randy and Terri of St. Marys, and a son, Rick of Decatur, Texas; a sister and her husband, Marie and Bill Davis, Hutchison, Kan.; a brother, Archie of New Mexico; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters and two brothers.
He was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, St. Marys. He was a graduate of Garnett High School in Kansas.
Private family services will be held.

Ruth Bradrick
Ruth Elizabeth Fawcett Bradrick, 91, 302 Altamont Ave., Mansfield, died Feb. 10, 2001 at Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.
She was born Feb. 16, 1909, in Mount Vernon, to Oscar and Maude (Smith) Fawcett. On Oct. 4, 1930, she married Ralph W. Bradrick, who is deceased.
Survivors are two sons, R. Duane of Rockford, and Gary F. of Ontario; a sister, Jocelyn Bonnette, Mount Vernon; a brother, Earl Fawcett, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Verne Lee and Darryl Alan, two brothers, Dale and Ray Fawcett, and two sisters, Helyn Mossholder and Burdette Dudgeon.
She worked as a cook in a number of elementary schools in the Mansfield City School System, and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and its Autumn Club.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wappner Funeral Directors on Diamond Street in Mansfield. Burial is at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
Calling is 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

William Flory
William Calvin Flory, 77, 927 W. Arch St., Portland, Ind., died Feb. 10, 2001 at Adams County Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Ind.
He was born Jan. 30, 1924, in Jay County, Ind., to Veo and Ethel (Martin) Flory. On June 24, 1941, he married Marie Smith, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter and her husband, Marilyn M. and Larry Bickel, Portland, Ind.; a brother and his wife, Gerald and Lavonne of Portland, Ind.; two sisters and their husbands, Annabelle and Orla Smith, Portland, Ind., and Ruby and Edgar Mertz, Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a retired farmer and was also retired from Portland Forge. He was a member of Portland Odd Fellows Lodge, and attended the Westchester United Methodist Church.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, Ind., the Revs. Joe Hines and Darrell Borders officiating. Burial is at Salamonia Cemetery in Indiana.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Billy Gilbert
Billy Joe Gilbert, 49, died Feb. 10, 2001 at his residence at 122 N. Green St., Mendon, following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 26, 1951, in Portland, Ind., to Everett and Edith (Mabry) Gilbert. On Aug. 12, 1989, he married Betty Jean Kiefer, who survives.
Other survivors include four brothers and their wives, Everett Jr. and Nancy of Gainsboro, Tenn., Paul and Jackie of Avondale, Ariz., David and Dorothy of New Weston, and Carl and Mary of Portland, Ind., and a brother, James of Portland, Ind.; a sister and her husband, Susan and Rick Callihan, and two sisters, Erma Emery and Janet Seals, all of Portland, Ind.; three sisters-in-law and their husbands, Linda and Harry Burd Jr., Connie and Richard Meinerding, and Nancy and Donald Brotherwood, all of St. Marys, and a sister-in-law, Sandra Kiefer, Celina; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Robert and Patty Kiefer, St. Marys, and William Jr. and Karen Kiefer, Mendon.
Deceased are his parents, two brothers, Robert Allen and John LeRoy, and a sister, Lillian Marie.
He was employed with St. Marys Foundry Co. and Evans Roofing and Siding Co., both St. Marys, and Warnock Painting Co., Fort Recovery. He was a 1969 graduate of Jay County High School, Portland, Ind.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Ronald C. Boyer officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Juanita Godwin
Juanita "Dolly" Godwin, 61, 718 Holly St., Celina, died of surgery complications at 4:35 a.m. Feb. 12, 2001 at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born July 26, 1939, in Celina, to Frank and Wanda (Woods) Hisey. Her father survives in Celina. On Oct. 29, 1954, she married Harry C. Godwin, who survives.
Other survivors are two daughters and their husbands, Terri and Mike Dzalamanow, St. Marys, and Kathy and Jeff Lewis, Greenville; two brothers, Carl William and Frank Jr. Hisey, both of Celina; four sisters, Sue Collins, Amelia Island, Fla., Jeannie Snyder, Kenton, Debbie Hisey, Dayton, and Jackie Goubeau, St. Marys; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are her mother, and a sister, Diane Hisey.
She was retired from the former Huffy Bicycle Corp., Celina, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Celina.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Stephen Merold officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.

Bernadette Heitkamp
Bernadette "Bernie" Heitkamp, 83, 225 N. Chestnut St., St. Marys, died Feb. 11, 2001 at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
She was born Feb. 7, 1918, in Maria Stein, to Bernard and Catherine (Gehle) Heitkamp.
Other survivors are a daughter and her husband, Catherine Anne and Ray Semintini, Ridgefield, Conn.; three sisters, Elizabeth Bruggeman, Coldwater, Rose Schoen, Fort Recovery, and Rita Post, St. Marys; a brother and his wife, Melvin and Helen of Fort Recovery; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six brothers, Joseph, Clarence, Vincent, Bernard, Raymond and Alphonse, and two sisters, Cecilia Kuntz and Mary Everman.
She was retired from Elder-Beerman Department Store, Kettering, and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. James Byrne officiating. Burial is at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, with a Christian prayer service at 8 p.m.
Homer Nevergall
Former Mendon resident, Homer E. Nevergall, 80, died at 9:15 p.m. Feb. 11, 2001 at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.
He was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Mercer County, to Eugene and Amy (Lee) Nevergall. On Jan. 1, 1948, he married Erma Jennings, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Steve and Kathie of Celina; a daughter and her husband, Sandra and Stephen Houser, Mendon; a sister-in-law, Hope of Celina; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased are two brothers, George and Jimmie, a sister, Margaret Mullenhour, and a grandson.
He was a retired farmer and from Erie and Lackawanna Railroad, and had worked at Rockford Canning Company. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Mendon.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Glenn Masser officiating. Burial is at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
