Edna Penny
Former Celina resident Edna Bomholt Penny, 75, of Greenwood, Ind., died at 10:a.m. Feb. 12, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in St. Rose, to Otto and Monica (Fortman) Bomholt. She was married to William Penny, who is deceased.
Survivors are a daughter, Becky Meyer, Greenwood, Ind.; a son, Rick of Carmel, Ind.; a brother, Ralph Bomholt, Celina; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and served as a volunteer at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge, Fla. She was a member of American Association of University Women and Commercial Womens' Club of Rockledge, Fla.
Her body will be cremated.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, Greenwood.

Raymond Zunk
Raymond G. Zunk, 74, died at 12:55 p.m. Feb. 12, 2001 at his residence at 156 Watercrest Drive, St. Marys.
He was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Benton, to Fred and Bernice (Banky) Zunk. On July 22, 1950, he married Mary Cogan, who died May 12, 1994. On Feb. 4, 1995, he married Helen Schelby who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Randy and Deborah of Boca Raton, Fla., and Keith and Mary of Dayton, and a son, Lyle of Palmyra, Ind.; a daughter, Tamara Karant, Akron; two stepdaughters, Janie Goodwin, St. Marys, and Gayle Sachs, Dayton; a stepson, Ron Miars, St. Marys; a brother and his wife, Rusty and Davene Schimmel, Toledo; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a stepson, John Miars.
He was a historian of the Miami-Erie Canal Society and traveled across Ohio speaking at schools, colleges, service clubs and historical societies. He was retired as a stationary engineer at the City of St. Marys electric plant. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II, after enlisting as a Merchant Marine. He served as past president of Ohio Postal History Society and was an American Philantalic Certified National Judge. He was awarded the DeWitt Clinton National Canal Preservation Award. He was a graduate of Clark Technical College and of Rocky Ridge High School in Ottawa County.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Laurence Feaver officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Robert Dull
Robert Lloyd "Chick" Dull, 80, died at 3:30 a.m. Feb. 13, 2001 at his residence at 827 Allen Drive, Van Wert.
He was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Liberty Township, Van Wert County, to Herbert Oscar and Mary Luticia (Bolenbaugh) Dull. On July 20, 1966, he married Louise (Doan) Wallick, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Larry E. and Polly of New Bavaria; two daughters, Betty J. Johnson and Donna M. Duncan, both of Van Wert; three stepsons and their wives, Donald and Camille Wallick, Columbus, Michael and Beth Wallick, Aikens, S.C., and James R. and Pam Wallick, Ottoville; a brother, Hugh of Celina; a sister and her husband, Joan and Don Knerr, Payne; eight grandchildren, 12 stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Forest Herbert and Wilson J., and four sisters, Mary B. McNeal, Martha E. Ricketts, Mildred May Myers, and Agnes Moring.
He was retired as a plant supervisor from Eisenhauer Mfg., and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Van Wert, American Legion Post 376, Ohio City, and Woods Golf Course. He was a 1938 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and was a veteran of World War II with service in Italy.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Revs. James Dunaway and Donald Wallick Jr. officiating. Burial with military services conducted by American Legion is at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mary Hoghe
Former Mendon resident Mary E. Hoghe, 88, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Feb. 12, 2001 at Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.
She was born June 23, 1912, in Van Wert County, to Richard and Hattie (Terry) Goings. On Sept. 20, 1936, she married John C. Hoghe, who died March 11, 1988.
Survivors are a son and his wife, Phil and Peggy of Fort Wayne, Ind., and a grandson.
Deceased is a brother, Everett Goings.
She was retired from the Mendon Union School system, and was a member of Mendon United Methodist Church.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Paul Bunnell officiating. Burial is at Tomlinson Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Gayle Plom
Gayle Ann Plom, 40, 116 S. Mill St., Coldwater, died from injuries sustained in an auto accident at 1:59 p.m. Feb. 9, 2001 at Ohio 364 and Lock Two Road.
She was born April 10, 1960, in Greenville, to Roger and Shirley (Kinnison) Long. Her father survives in Pittsburg, and her mother, Shirley Kinnison, survives in Arcanum. On June 28, 1997, she married Bradford William Plom, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Samantha Boyd, Union City; a son, Denver Boyd, Union City; a brother, Jay Long, Union City; four sisters, Brenda Long, Union City, Linda Mogle, Greenville, Chris Ralidak, West Milton, and Kathy Long, unknown address.
She was employed at Dannon in Minster.
Services were held Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, the Rev. Kathleen Hayes officiated. Burial was held at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Delmar Pratt
Former Celina resident Delmar E. Pratt, 58, of Lehigh Acres, Fla., died Feb. 11, 2001 in Florida.
He was born April 12, 1942, in Lima, to Roy and Elsie Pratt. His wife, Karen M., survives in Lehigh Acres.
Other survivors are a son, David G. of Bradenton, Fla.; two daughters, Diana L. Sinkler, Sebring, Fla., and Melonie Sue Hatch, Brandenton, Fla.; a stepson, James E. Kittle, Fort Myers, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Christina M. Christlieb, Montgomery, Texas; a father-in-law, Rev. Ezra Leon Warren, Lehigh Acres, Fla.; 10 brothers and sisters and 18 grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, seeing action in the Bay of Pigs. He was a member of Lehigh Church of the Nazarene. He received a doctor of philosophy from Gulf Shore Baptist Seminary, and his doctor of psychology from Purdue University.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Gary Warchol officiating. Entombment is at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Calling begins at noon Friday at the church.

Neva Kable
Neva Pearl Kable, 93, 808 Pro Drive, Celina, died Feb. 13, 2001 at Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.
She was born Feb. 4, 1908, in Mercer County, to Abraham and Sarah Buckey. On April 21, 1927, she married Rudy Kable, who died May 18, 1966.
Survivors are a daughter, Betty Petrie, Celina; a sister-in-law, Edwina Buckey, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Bruce, five brothers, Sam, Chauncey, George, Meril and Freddie Buckey, and four sisters, Rosie Duff, Effie Adams, Dess Henkle, and Lola Masonbrink.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Douglas R. Meyer officiating. Burial will be held in Central Heights Cemetery, Globe, Ariz.
Calling is 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
