Dr. Alvin Noble
Dr. Alvin B. Noble, 89, 133 S. Pine St., St. Marys, died at 12:45 a.m. Feb. 15, 2001 at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
He was born Dec. 19, 1911, in St. Marys, to Stafford Scranton and Alma Mary (Helmstetter) Noble. He was married to Natalie Koop, who is deceased. On Sept. 14, 1982, he married Fay Williamson Rasneor, who survives.
Other survivors include a stepson, Roger Rasneor, St. Marys, and nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Frederick, Robert and Stafford.
He had a dental practice in St. Marys, and received a commission from the U.S. Navy to serve as a dentist during World War II. He retired as a Captain from the Navy after having served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, Northmoor Country Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, and American Legion Post 323, all St. Marys. He was also a member of St. Marys Rotary Club and St. Marys Outing Club (Idlewild). He was a 1929 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a 1937 graduate of Ohio State University School of Dentistry.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Don Ricard officiating. Burial is Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Louis Boltz
Louis Q. "Toot" Boltz, 42, 819 E. Sycamore St., Van Wert, died the morning of Feb. 15, 2001 in an accident on U.S. 33.
He was born Aug. 6, 1958, in St. Marys, to Louis C. and Millicent (Chiles) Boltz, both of whom survive in Van Wert.
Other survivors are a daughter, Kristin Michelle of Altus, Okla.; a son, James of Tennessee Colony, Texas; a stepdaughter, LaShana Nicole Jones, Austin, Texas; two sisters and their husbands, Barb and John Mihm, St. Marys, and Beverly and Carl Ward, Marionville, Mo.; and a grandchild.
Deceased is a brother, Charles.
He was an employee of Superwash Car Wash in St. Marys, and was a 1976 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Keith Stuck officiating. Private family burial will follow.

Edgar Holsinger Sr.
Former St. Marys resident Edgar Holsinger Sr., 79, 801 W. High St., Piqua, died at 1:40 p.m. Feb. 15, 2001 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.
He was born Feb. 5, 1922, near Celina, to John and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Holsinger. On July 25, 1944, he married Rosemary Cotterman, who died April 8, 1993.
Other survivors are seven daughters and their husbands, Roxy and Dick Wagner, Ocala, Fla., Janice and G.W. Blockledge, Louin, Miss., Brenda and Andy Fishbach, Sidney, Ginger and Jack Figel, Jodie and John Ball, Marcia and Tony Taylor, all of St. Marys, and Sarah and Douglas Eckstein, Piqua; a daughter, Candace Grilliot, St. Marys; three sons and their wives, Edgar Jr. and Joy of Ogden, Utah, John and Theresa of St. Marys, and Rick and Kay of Coldwater; 53 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Lester.
He was retired from Midmark Co., Versailles and was a member of St. Marys Assembly of God Church.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. John Nunnally officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Richard Konkle
Richard K. "Dick" Konkle, 77, died Feb. 16, 2001 at his Spencerville residence.
He was born Feb. 3, 1924, in Convoy, to Melvin L. and Edna (Washburn) Konkle. On Nov. 23, 1951, he married Joan Kline, who survives.
Other survivors are a son and his wife, Tim and Dale of Muncie, Ind.; a son, Tom, who serves in the U.S. Coast Guard; two daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Ric Kelly, Van Wert, and Marcia and Doug Mann, Lima; a brother and his wife, Hubert A. and Marguerite of Richland, Wash.; and five grandchildren.
He was a retired manufacturer's representative for Paoli Furniture Co. and other companies. He was a member and trustee of Trinity United Methodist Church, Spencerville, and he was a member of Mendon Lodge 586 Free and Accepted Masons. He was a 1942 graduate of Mendon High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ron Hennen officiating. Burial is at Spencerville Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, and after 1 p.m. Monday at the church.

Adam Sturgill
Adam F. Sturgill, 70, 19413 Center Road, Wapakoneta, died at 1:05 p.m. Feb. 16, 2001 at a St. Marys residence.
He was born May 3, 1930, in Manton, Ky., to Crawford and Nora (Risner) Sturgill. On Dec. 20, 1952, he married Avonell Perry, who survives in St. Marys.
Other survivors are three sons and their wives, Adam and Julie, and William Keith and Tami, all of Wapakoneta, and Michael "Joe" and Gwen of St. Marys; a son, Roger Dean of St. Marys; a daughter and her husband, Freda and Karl Turner, St. Marys; a daughter, Jennifer of St. Marys; a brother and his wife, Joe and Joyce of Lima; a brother, Hasadore of Titusville, Fla.; two sisters, Sadie Hunter, Martin, Ky., and Donna Pannell, Louisa, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are several brothers and sisters.
He was a retired maintenance technician from Ford Motor Co., the Lima Engine Plant. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Samuel Perry officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.

Daniel Congdon
Daniel William Congdon, 35, 211 1/2 Mulberry St., Bloomdale, died Feb. 18, 2001 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg following a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 20, 1965, in New London, Conn., to Walter and Patricia Congdon, both whom survive in New London, Conn. On Sept. 2, he married former Coldwater resident Diana Muhlenkamp, who survives.
Other survivors are two stepsons, Jamie Muhlenkamp, Phoenix, Ariz., and Jason Muhlenkamp, Findlay; a stepdaughter, Jill Muhlenkamp, Findlay; and two sisters, Elizabeth Wright, Montville, Conn., and Lynn Williams, Norwich.
He was employed by Schneider National Trucking Co., Bloomdale.
Services are 7 p.m. Wednesday at Byles Funeral Home, New London, Conn.

Ruth Montgomery
Ruth K. Montgomery, 88, of Celina, died at 2:05 a.m. Feb. 17, 2001 at Sunbridge Care and Rehab for Marion.
She was born Aug. 13, 1912, in Bowling Green, to George W. and Viola (Franks) Kershner. On Aug. 29, 1932, she married Carl D. Montgomery, who died in 1979.
Survivors are a son and his wife, C. Douglas and Joyce of Marion; two daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Richard Lewis, Raleigh, N.C., and Sallyanne and Dwight Harruff, Dayton; a daughter, Suzanne Harruff, Decatur, Ind.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother and a sister.
She was a partner and office manager at Montgomery Brothers Heating and Air Conditioning in Marion, and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Celina.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green, the Rev. David Gossard officiating.
There will be no visitation.
