Rachel Olsen
Rachel F. Olsen, 91, of Palm City, Fla., died Feb. 13, 2001 at Water's Edge Nursing Home.
She was born July 3, 1909, in Jay County, Ind., to Boon and Nevada (Journey) Warnock. She was married to Norman Olsen, who died July 23, 1996.
Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Marilyn and Robert Redman, Dana, Ind.; two sons and their wives, Armin and Pat of Albany, Ore., and Ole and Phyllis of Placitas, N.M.; a sister, Mabel Lindley, Michigan City, Ind.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was a teacher in Madison Township and Portland, Ind., and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stuart, Fla. She was a member of Jensen Beach Garden Club and YMCA Encore Club. She attended Ball State Teacher's College and Purdue University, both in Indiana.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Portland, Ind., the Rev. Bruce Phillips officiating. Burial is at Salamonia, Ind., Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

Irene Stroh
Irene Edna Stroh, 93, died at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 18, 2001 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 16, 1907, in Piqua, to William and Etta May (Kretzchman) Kohlhorst. On Dec. 23, 1949, she married Harold Stroh, who died Feb. 1, 1983.
Survivors include a sister, Lucille Steinbrunner, Englewood; and nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, George Kohlhorst, and a sister, Thera Webb.
She was retired from the former Huffy Bicycle Co., Celina.
Private graveside services will be held at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements were handled by W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina.
Bruce Bubp Sr.
Bruce Conger Bubp Sr., 68, 236 S. Main St., St. Marys, died at 6:44 p.m. Feb. 17, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born Feb. 8, 1933, in St. Marys, to Albert D. Sr. and Winifred (Conger) Bubp. On Oct. 6, 1956, he married Barbara L. Lynch, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons and their wives, Bruce Conger Jr. and Victoria of North Canton, John A. and Amy of St. Marys, and Brian P. and Debbie of Toledo; two sons, Robert W. and David A., both of St. Marys; four daughters and their husbands, Juli and Dean Axe, Mary and Joe Klosterman, Annette and Paul Bayham, all of St. Marys, and Linda and Tim Schlosser, Waterville; a daughter, Susan W. Rex, Lima; a sister-in-law, Delores of Springfield; and 17 grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Albert D. Jr.
He was retired as manager of the personnel department at St. Marys Foundry, former co-owner of St. Marys Laundry and Dry Cleaning, and former owner and operator of Inlet Restaurant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He served as president of St. Marys City Council, as chairman of St. Marys Uptown Revitalization Committee and as a mentor with students of West Elementary School. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the St. Marys Chamber of Commerce, Northmoor Golf Club, American Legion Post 323, and Knights of Columbus Council 1592, all of St. Marys. He was a 1951 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and attended Heidelburg College in Tiffin. He was a member of Auglaize County Alumni Band, Auglaize County Swing Band and South Shore Four barbershop quartet.
Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Leo A. Hoying officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, with a Christian prayer service at 8 p.m.
Contributions can be made to American Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association or the church's organ fund.
John Ellis
John H. Ellis, 64, died of natural causes at 4:40 a.m. Feb. 19, 2001 at his residence at 214 Eastview Drive, Celina.
He was born March 3, 1936, in Celina, to Norbert J. and Minta C. (Fetters) Ellis.
Survivors are two sons and their wives, Timothy and Dorothy of Greenville, and David and Marcie of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter, Patricia McCain, Coldwater; a brother and his wife, Rev. Lee and Phyllis of Wapakoneta; a sister and her husband, Evelyn and Pete Thomas, Van Wert; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six brothers, Dale, Eugene, Donald, Ralph, Charles and Bill.
He was owner of Quality Dry Cleaners in Coldwater, and was a member of New Life Apostolic Church, Celina.
A memorial service is 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Larry Fries officiating. His body was donated to the Ohio State University College of Medicine.
There will be no visitation.

Loraine Payton
Loraine L. Payton, 76, of Celina, died at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 18, 2001 at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Franklin, to Frank Jeffery and Edna (Kirkland) Jeffery Snell. On Nov. 30, 1998, she married Charles Payton, who survives.
Other survivors are a stepson, Dwight Payton, Celina; a daughter-in-law, Linda White, West Milton; three brothers and their wives, Frank Jr. and Betty Jeffery, Kettering, Frank and Darlene Sherman Snell, Dayton, and Robert and Darlene Snell, Englewood; two brothers, Richard Snell, Troy, and Kenneth Snell, Celina; a sister-in-law, Donna Snell, Beavercreek; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Robert J. White, and a brother, Paul Snell.
She was the former president of the Mercer County Ladies Democratic Club and a member of United Methodist Church, Montezuma, American Legion Post 470, Coldwater, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3713, Celina.
Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a later date in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, the Rev. Jon Kraner officiating.

Movan Worley
Movan Worley, 69, died at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 18, 2001 at his residence at 1115 Sunset Drive, Celina.
He was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Yamoraw, Ky., to Osborne and Dora (Martin) Worley. On Aug. 18, 1951, he married Dorothy Dawson, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter and her husband, Carolyn and Dean Longsworth, Celina; two sisters, Chisteen Brown, Sidney, and Sharon Sellers, Sterans, Ky.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.
He was a retired minister and carpenter, and was a member of St. Marys Missionary Church.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney, the Rev. Alva Daniels officiating. Burial is at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Harry Meier
Harry C. Meier, 101, 5001 Delisle-Fourman Road, Greenville, died Feb. 20, 2001 at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville.
He was born June 11, 1899, in Greenville Twp., to Charles and Emma (Schafer) Meier. On Feb. 25, 1936, he married Ruth Blizzard, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Verlin and Sue of Celina, and Dale A. and Karen of Greenville; a sister, Dorothy Martin, Greenville; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Edna Unger and Alice Rhoades, and a granddaughter.
He was a lifelong farmer, and a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greenville, and Darke County Farm Bureau.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Oliver Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Ronald Shreffler officiating. Burial is at Greenville Cemetery.
