Kathleen Figel
Kathleen "Kay" Figel, 74, formerly of West Main Street, Montezuma, died at 6:20 p.m. Feb. 23, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Burkettsville, to Michael and Rose Rutschilling Lefeld. On Jan. 9, 1947, she married Arthur Figel who died April 30, 1999.
Surviving are two sons, James (Peggy) of Indianapolis, Ind., and Gene (Nancy) of St. Joe; seven sisters, Vera Bolheimer, West Milton, Betty Hess, Brock, Lou Collins, Dayton, Rita Siegrist, Carthagena, Ann (Dick) Hole, New Carlisle, Marie (Paul) Bryan, Huber Heights, and Hilda (Fred) Topp, Chickasaw; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Darlene; two brothers, Isadore and John Steinke; and a sister, Sister Mary Francetta Lefeld.
She retired from Huffy Corp. in Celina. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 3025, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Carl Wise officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogen-kamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Richard Beougher
Richard Ray Beougher, 84, Celina, died Feb. 21, 2003, at 12:03 a.m. at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Sept. 23, 1918 in Mercer County to Domer and Flossie (Barker) Beougher. On Jan. 3, 1942 he was married to Celia Shimp, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald (Erma) Beougher and William (Janet) Beougher, both of Celina; a daughter, Barbara (Lynn) Avery, Celina; a brother, Bob Beougher, Celina; a sister, Lucille (Brooks) Shimp, Palmara, Mo.; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Russell, Paul and Don and a sister, Belva Sutter.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army in Germany. He was retired from Beougher Farm Drainage and had worked as yard boss at Carter Lumber. He was a member of the Celina VFW Post 5713.
Services are Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Bruce Strine will officiate and burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-8 p.m.
Ann Mary Janning
Ann Mary Janning, 92, 904 Echo St., Celina, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Wesleyan Health Care Center, Marion, Ind.
She was born Jan. 29, 1911 in Cranberry Prairie to Bernard and Carolyn (Steinke) Dierkers. She was married to Edwin Janning, who preceded her in death.
Surviving is a son, Paul (Mary) Janning, Wapakoneta; two daughters, Marge Piguet, Hartford City, Ind. and Kay (Jack) Denton, Marion, Ind.; ten grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Catherine Fillenworth, Margaret Dierkers and Judith Metzler, all of Indianapolis.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Ruth Meier, a son, Robert Janning, and a granddaughter.
She was a homemaker.
There will be a funeral Mass Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. The Rev. Thomas Brenberger will officiate and burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Celina.
Calling hours are Monday from 2-8 p.m. at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.
Leo Fecher
Fort Recovery native Leo J. Fecher, 95, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Feb. 19, 2003, at Riverbend Health Care Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born Dec. 12, 1907, in Fort Recovery, to John and Anna Boebner Fecher.
Surviving are five nieces and nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews and six great-great-nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Loretta and Marcella A., are deceased.
He retired as a material handler at International Harvester in Fort Wayne after 26 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of United Auto Workers Local 57 Retiree Club and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fort Wayne.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Catholic Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, Fort Wayne, and and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Brooke Fisher
Celina native Brooke Ann Fisher, 51, 1720 Meadowlark Drive, Union City, Tenn., formerly of St. Marys, died at 11:55 p.m. Feb. 18, 2003, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Celina, to Benjamin L. and Mary Ellen Botkin McIntire. On Feb. 10, 1973, she married R. Dean Fisher who survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Benjamin L. McIntire III., St. Marys, and a sister, Sue Ellen (Charles) Swartz, St. Marys.
She was a homemaker and a 1970 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. David Woodyard officiating. Private burial services are at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Helen Katterheinrich
Helen L. Katterheinrich, 76, formerly of 815 Edwards St., St. Marys, died at 8 a.m. Feb. 14, 2003, at Portsbridge Hospice, Dunwoody, Ga.
She was born March 7, 1926, in Miami County, to Russell and Ruth Voisard Armstrong. On June 25, 1944, she married Lloyd N. Katterheinrich who died July 22, 1973.
Surviving are a son, Bruce (Maureen) of Marietta, Ga.; two daughters, Joyce (Chuck) Ellisor, Gahanna, and Sheri Fiser, Witchita, Kan.; a sister, Thelma Bender, Lima; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A sister, Ruth Armstrong, and a granddaughter are deceased.
A 1941 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, she owned and operated Modern Paint & Supply in St. Marys and Wapak Floor & Supply in Wapakoneta. She later managed various apartments including C & J Apartments in Lima, Sage West Apartments in Columbus and the PSI Mandarin Center for the National Church Residence Corp. in Jacksonville, Fla., for 17 years. She was a former member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Neal Whitney officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Ruth May
Former Rockford resident Ruth May, 81, Winebrenner Village, 415 College St., Findlay, died Feb. 20, 2003, at her home.
She was born May 6, 1921, in Detroit, Mich., to Orville E. and Edna M. Simon Martin. On April 3, 1943, she married Nelson May who died Jan. 22, 1989.
Surviving are four daughters, Marilyn (LaDoyt) Martz and Peggy Ann (Larry) Metz, Lima, Nancy Drummond, St. Marys, and Ruth Ann (Randy) Rumple, Rockford; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Orville Martin; a sister, Caroline Bradford; and a great-grandson.
She had been a nurse's aide at Van Wert County Hospital and formerly worked at Society Bank in Mendon. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, where she formerly sang in the choir and taught Sunday School and Summer Bible School classes. She was a member of the 20th Century Club and a past member of the Eastern Star Alterian Club, Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Kathleen Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
