Herbert Rammel
Herbert J. "Herb" Rammel, 86, 8539 Sweet Potato Ridge Road, Brookville, died Feb. 8, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 25, 1916, in the Sharpsburg area, to George and Rosa Klenke Rammel.
Surviving with his wife, the former Monica Sandrell, are a son, Gary (Beth) of West Milton; a daughter, Shirley (Glenn) Breig, West Milton; two sisters, Mary Jean (Peanuts) Werling, Coldwater, and Helen Aisenbrey, Fort Recovery; a brother, Fred (Delma), Fort Recovery; three sisters-in-law, Eleanor, Newtown, N.D., Irma, Englewood, and Norma, Greenville; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Richard, Alvin and Harold, and two sisters, Rita Livingston and Irene Franck.
He retired from Inland Manufacturing in 1981 after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 487, West Milton.
Funeral Mass was Feb. 12 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Englewood, the Rev. Todd O. Grogan officiating. Burial with military rites followed at Royal Oak Gardens, Brookville.
Harvey Rumple
Rockford native Harvey E. "Ed" Rumple, 77, Vine Street, Wapakoneta, died at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19, 2003, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home, where he had resided since February 1998.
He was born Jan. 2, 1926, in Rockford, to Cloyd and Goldie Shock Rumple. On May 9, 1947, he married Ada J. Hook who survives.
Also surviving are five sons, the Rev. John (Dorothy), Montpelier, Jim and Joe (Brenda) Rumple, all of Wapakoneta, Jeff (Kris), Hicksville, and Michael (Melissa) Pursell, Sidney; two daughters, Jane (Dale) Heyd, La Moure, N.D., and Jacki (the Rev. Paul) Hazelton, Allison, Pa.; a brother, William Carl (Trudy) of Eugene, Ore.; a sister, Anna Hook, Ohio City; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A brother, James, and a sister, Bessie Logan, are deceased.
He retired in 1988 as a supervisor at the Ford Motor Co., Lima Engine Plant, where he had worked for more than 31 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and earned a Purple Heart. He was a 1944 graduate of Parkway High School and a member of the Wapakoneta Church of the Nazarene.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at the church, the Revs. Paul Hazelton, John Rumple and Ward Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton, with graveside rites by the Wapakoneta Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, and after noon Monday at the church.

Reuben Dickman
Former New Bremen and Mount Dora, Fla., resident Reuben Henry Dickman, 100, died Feb. 17, 2003, at Orlando Lutheran Towers, Orlando, Fla.
He was born May 23, 1902, in Cincinnati, to the Rev. Herbert and Lillie Sunderman Dickman. His wives, Eleanor Purpus Dickman and Ruth Shaw Dickman, are deceased.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. John T. (Sue) of Columbus and Dr. Charles H. (Jean) of Coldwater; three stepsons, Donald (Jo) Shaw, Davison, Mich., Kenneth (Karen) Shaw, St. Clair, Mich., and Roger Shaw, Cape Canaveral, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He had served as general manager of the former New Bremen Broom Co. and was the founder of Dickman Industrial Service, currently known as Dickman Supply Inc. with locations in Sidney, Celina and Greenville. He was past president of the National Broom Manufacturers Association as well as the Sidney and Mount Dora Rotary clubs. He served five terms as New Bremen mayor and was board of trustees vice chairman for the construction of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
A 1925 graduate of Miami University, Oxford, he was a member of the Hughes Society and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Orlando.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Loretta Remaklus
Loretta Katherine Remaklus, 83, of Coldwater, died at 9:50 a.m. Feb. 19, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
She was born Dec. 15, 1919, in North Star, to Frank and Rosa Zumbrink Schulte. On Sept. 19, 1942, she married Austin Remaklus who died Aug. 6, 2002.
Surviving are a son, James of Coldwater; six daughters, Patricia (Marvin) Post, Ginny, Shirley (George) Koesters and Joan (Maurice) Voskuhl, Coldwater, Sue (Dick) Muhlenkamp, St. Anthony, and Betty (Ernie) Schoenlein, Portland, Ind.; two brothers, Henry (Emerita) Schulte, Coldwater, and Edward (Waneta) Schulte, Celina; a sister, Roseann Wourms, Celina; a sister-in-law, Sue Schulte, Celina; 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Alice; three brothers, Paul, Vernon and Norbert Schulte; a sister, Kathern Schulte; and a great-grandson.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Ann Rosary Altar Sodality, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 5135, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 470 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 3025, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Treva Beougher
Treva B. Beougher, 81, 645 N. Sugar St., Celina, died at 11 a.m. Feb. 18, 2003, at a son's home in Celina.
She was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Celina, to Charles and Freda Dietsch Smelser. On May 3, 1941, she married Donald W. Beougher who died May 16, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Steven (Karen) and Dan (Phyliss) of Celina; two sisters, Betty Martin, Union City, Ind., and Helen Harris, St. Marys; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Edward and Raymond, are deceased.
She was a homemaker.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Steve Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Vitus Siegrist
Vitus A. Siegrist, 84, 8297 Ohio 119, Maria Stein, died at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born Jan. 11, 1919, in St. Anthony, to Joseph and Catherine Wendel Siegrist. On April 28, 1945, he married Dorothy Hausfeld who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Mike (Kathy) of Maria Stein; two daughters, Judy (John) Jernigan, Chickasha, Okla., and Lois of Minster; a son-in-law, Rick Sells, Dayton; three sisters, Ann Marx, Crystal Lakes, Ill., Philomena Liller, Dayton, and Martha Pierce, Vandalia; a sister-in-law, Rita Siegrist, Celina; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Jean Sells; six brothers and two sisters.
A 1937 graduate of Coldwater High School, he retired from Chickasaw Machine & Tool Inc. and Maria Stein Grain Co. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Men's Sodality, Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Jane Burger
Jane F. Burger, 83, 7353 Ohio 219, Celina, died Feb. 13, 2003, at Livingston Care Center, Dayton.
She was born March 19, 1919, in Cincinnati, to Frank B. and Marie Hilbers Burger.
Surviving are three brothers, Frank and Ralph of Dayton and Richard (Dorothy) of Kettering; and a sister, Carol E. Smith, Centerville.
She retired from State Mutual Insurance, Dayton, and formerly worked at New England Life Insurance and Thompson Supply, Dayton.
She was a life member of Coldwater American Legion Post 470 and a member of Mercer County 8 & 40 Salon 828, Southshore Sportsmen Club, Lake Improvement Association, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, Women of the Moose Chapter 388 and Celina Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 1291.
Memorial Mass is 10:30 a.m. March 19 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, the Rev. James Dugal officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Keeping her wish, the body was donated to medical science.
