Rev. Harold Diller
The Rev. Harold Diller, 94, C.PP.S., one of the oldest members of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, died at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 13, 2003, in the infirmary at St. Charles Center, Carthagena.
He was born Oct. 6, 1908, in St. Anthony, to John and Mary Gross Diller.
Surviving are two sisters, Sister Mary Adela Diller, Tiffin, and Ethel Boeckman, Coldwater; and two sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Diller, Sharpsburg, and Rita Diller, Coldwater.
Deceased are four brothers, Zeno, the Rev. Otto, Walter and Donald, and a sister, Adela.
He entered the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 1922 and was ordained to the priesthood May 10, 1934. After working as assistant pastor at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dayton, he served as assistant procurator at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer from 1935-1938. He also served as professor of music and choir director until 1941, when he returned to parish ministry as assistant pastor at Resurrection Catholic Church in Cincinnati and then as pastor of Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Hamilton, from 1942-1944.
In 1944, he went to work with the Catholic Rural Life Conference in Carthagena. He was assigned as pastor at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Mercer County in 1945 and also taught rural sociology to seminarians at St. Charles. In 1950, he was named superior at St. Mary Home, Burkettsville, appointed provincial secretary in 1953 and re-elected in 1959. He later served as rector and director of development at Brunnerdale, the society's high school seminary in Canton. In 1976, he went to Paducah, Ky., to work with his brother, the Rev. Otto Diller, at Lourdes Hospital before retiring to St. Charles Center in 1992. Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. today at St. Charles Center. Burial will follow in the community cemetery there.

James Dunlap
James E. Dunlap, 58, formerly of 215 S. Pear St., St. Marys, died at 9:23 p.m. Feb. 13, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born Oct. 2, 1944, in Lima, to James and Betty Adams Dunlap. His mother survives in St. Marys.
Other survivors are two brothers, Robert and Everett (Carolyn) of St. Marys; and two sisters, Gloria (Chris) Sweeney and Rose of St. Marys.
He worked for the City of St. Marys Sanitation Department for 15 years.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Wilbur Drummond officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Daniel Gehron
Services for Daniel W. Gehron, 96, 92 N. Main St., North Star, are tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at North Star Congregational Christian Church, the Rev. Scott Trittschuh officiating. Burial will follow at East Bethel Cemetery in Mercer County.
He died Feb. 11, 2003, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater. The funeral, scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, was postponed due to weather conditions.

Daria Golden
Daria P. Golden, 80, 512 N. Ship St., Portland, Ind., died Feb. 14, 2003, at Americare Living Center, Portland.
She was born Oct. 25, 1922, in New Riegel, to Julius and Anna Minnich Borns. On June 26, 1948, she married Henry W. Golden who died March 6, 1996.
Surviving are a son, David A. of Portland; a daughter, Sarah (Robert) Arnold, Logansport, Ind.; a sister, Velma Donnerberg, Celina; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
She was a homemaker.
Services were at 10 a.m. today at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home, Portland, with the Rev. Darrel Borders officiating. Burial was to follow at Green Park Cemetery, Portland.
Contributions can be made to Mercer County Hospice.
Lavern Kunk
Lavern R. Kunk, 65, 4158 Fleetfoot Road, Coldwater, died at 11:20 p.m. Feb. 15, 2003, at Akron General Medical Center, of a sudden illness.
He was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Coldwater, to Bernard and Matilda Wappelhorst Kunk. On Oct. 3, 1959, he married Rita Mae Geier who died Dec. 4, 1992.
Surviving are a son, Michael (Francesca) of Nacogdoches, Texas; three daughters, Theresa (Jerry) Jutte, St. Henry, Cheryl (Michael) Albers, Fort Mill, S.C., and Kim (Mark) Koenig, Fort Recovery; and 11 grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Norbert (Martha) of Coldwater, Mich., and David (Jane) of Celina; a sister, Doris (Keith) Byer, Fort Wayne, Ind.; two brothers-in-law, Robert Post, Celina, and Larry (Kathy) Geier, Bath; and four sisters-in-law, Lou Ann Wendel and Esther (Tom) Gray, Celina, Jean (Rich) Schroer and Mary Geier, Coldwater.
Deceased are two sisters, Lucille Post and Eileen Baumer, and four brothers-in-law, Bob Baumer, Tom Frysinger, Joe Wendel and Louis Geier.
In 1998, he retired as an engineer from New Idea, Coldwater, after 43 years of service. He then worked part time at Pax Machine, Celina. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135 and Knights of Columbus Council 1991, all of Coldwater, the Celina Moose Lodge and the Butler Township Zoning Board.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Richard Wagaman
Richard E. Wagaman, 76, of Bellefontaine, died at 7 a.m. Feb. 15, 2003, at his residence.
He was born May 9, 1926, in Bellefontaine, to Charles Edward and Amanda Elizabeth Beal Wagaman. On Sept. 25, 1944, he married Donna Lou Brugler who died March 9, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Rick Charles (Diana) of Celina, and Brook Eugene (Kimberly) of Bellefontaine; a daughter, Pamela L. (Marlyn) Kelly, Rushsylvania; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and twin great-great-granddaughters.
Deceased are two brothers, Guy and Clifford; a sister, Peg and a great-granddaughter.
He had worked for New York Central Railroad as a switchman and later as a conductor. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Rushsylvania United Methodist Church.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rushsylvania Cemetery, the Revs. A.W. Purdin and Joshua Johnson officiating.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine.

Betty Warth
Betty J. Warth, 78, 4806 Ohio 219A, Celina, died at 9:50 a.m. Feb. 14, 2003, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Hamilton, to James and Mildred Eisele Brown. On Jan. 8, 1954, she married Donald Warth who survives.
One nephew survives.
A brother is deceased.
She had served as past president of Coldwater American Legion Auxiliary Unit 470 and Hamilton Eagles Auxiliary #407. She was a member of Montezuma Church of Christ and the Mercer County Democratic Club.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, the Rev. Kevin Neumann officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
