Grace Bohman
Grace Ann Bohman, daughter of Steven and Kathy Homan Bohman, 0416 Clune-Stucke Road, Maria Stein, was stillborn Feb. 5. 2003, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
Surviving with the parents are a brother, Jack, 3, and a sister, Kasarah, 13, at home; and grandparents, Maurice and Joanne Homan, Chickasaw, and Louis and Joanne Bohman, Osgood.
Private services will be at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery, Chickasaw.
Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, has charge of arrangements.
Rose Chrisman
Rose Ann Chrisman, 68, 616 Murlin Ave., Celina, died at 6:35 a.m. Feb. 6, 2003, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 24, 1934, in Celina, to Henry and Cornellia Ellerbrock Bensman. On July 10, 1954, she married Bill Chrisman who died in 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Kim) of Celina and Bill (Cheryl) of Fairbanks, Alaska; three daughters, Kendra (Darrell) Kuhn, Celina, Debra Collins, LaFollette, Tenn., and Laura Isbell, Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Walter Bensman, St. Marys; a brother-in-law, Gerald (Faye) Chrisman, Celina; a sister-in-law, Merle Chrisman, no town listed; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, four sisters and a grandson.
She worked at the Fisher Co. in Celina and then at Mersman Brothers for 20 years. She also worked at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Celina, as a bartender for five years and at Celina Visiting Nurses for two years.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Altar-Rosary Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, America Legion Auxiliary and the Women of the Moose, all of Celina.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.
Annabelle Dickman
Former New Bremen resident Annabelle M. Dickman, 90, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died at 1:44 p.m. Feb. 5, 2003, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born July 2, 1912, in New Bremen, to George and Sophia (Dicke) Knost. On March 15, 1939, she married Guy E. Dickman who died March 17, 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn (Dr. David) Schlueter, Fort Wayne; a sister, Grace Scheer, Sidney; a sister-in-law, Lodema Dicke, New Bremen; and four grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Patricia Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 10 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m. until the time of services Saturday.

Sharon Mescher
Sharon Kay "Sherry" Mescher, 58, 8335 Ohio 705, Yorkshire, died at 8:04 a.m. Feb. 6, 2003, at Lima Memorial Hospital. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born Jan. 13, 1945, in Celina, to Louis and Mary Davis Alexander. Her stepmother, Lucille Bruns Alexander, survives in Osgood. On June 14, 1969, she married Vernon B. Mescher and he survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, John (Joan) Alexander, Cassella, and Kenneth (Cindy) Alexander, Fort Loramie; two sisters, Jeannie (Gene) Bruns, Maria Stein, and Joyce Mason, Centerville; two stepbrothers, Edgar (Carole) Bruns, Russia, and Tony Bruns, Versailles; and a stepsister, Marilyn (Jim) Cullen, Tipp City.
A brother-in-law, Herbert Mason, and a stepsister, Joyce Bruns, are deceased.
She was a 1963 graduate of Marion Local High School and a 1967 graduate of the University of Dayton. She retired as secretary at the Osgood office of Minster Farmers Cooperative Exchange, formerly Alexander Brothers Elevator. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and St. Barbara Ladies Sodality, Osgood, and the Goat Farmers Auxiliary, Yorkshire.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

James Smith
James T. Smith, 69, 1650 Union City Road, Fort Recovery, died at 12:15 a.m. today, Feb. 7, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 15, 1933, in Dayton, to James C. and Ethel Jordan Smith. In 1951, he married Eleanora Shaffer who died in 1979. On Nov. 17, 1979, he married Carolyn Wortz who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James D. (Martha) of Charlotte, N.C., and Eric of Portland, Ind.; two daughters, Karen (Bob) Meiring and Diane (Fred) Reichert, Fort Recovery; a brother, Rex (Sheena) of Dayton; and eight grandchildren.
Ten brothers and two sisters are deceased.
He had worked at Fort Recovery Industries and attended Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Margaret Young
Margaret E. Young, 91, formerly of 607 S. Wayne St., St. Marys, died at 8:13 p.m. Feb. 5, 2003 at Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, St. Marys.
She was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Auglaize County, to William and Stella Dipmore. On June 9, 1928, she married Jacob Young who died June 22, 1958.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Jenkins, St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Grace Young, St. Marys; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
A son, James, and a great-granddaughter are deceased.
She retired from St. Marys City Schools after serving many years as a cook at McBroom and West schools. She was a 1928 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and attended First Baptist Church, St. Marys.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bob Warren officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is after noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Helen Loos
Former Celina resident Helen E. "Betsy" Loos, 56, 4538 Darke-Preble County Line Road, Lewisburg, died Feb. 1, 2003, at Hospice of Dayton. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born Aug. 24, 1946, in Celina, to Floyd L. and Mary Pauline Ingle Kugel. On Dec. 16, 1972, she married Robert S. Loos who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sarah E.; a brother, William L. (Candy) Kugel, Celina; and a sister-in-law, Judy M. Kugel, Greenville.
A brother, Robert Kugel, is deceased.
She was a registered nurse in the gastro-intestinal diagnostic unit at Kettering Medical Center. She was a 1969 graduate of Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing, Dayton, and a member of Jacob's Well Fellowship, Lewisburg.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Jim Hazelwood officiating. The body was cremated.
