Donnie R. Weaver: age 50 of Fort Recovery, Ohio; formerly of Piqua; died Friday morning, November 26, 2004 in his residence. He was born August 20, 1954 in St. Mary’s, OH to the late Donald R. and Margaret “Peggy” (Arnold) Weaver.
Mr. Weaver is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Gene and Melissa Weaver and Eric and Wendy Weaver both of Dallas, TX and a daughter: Jeannine S. Rammel of Rossburg, OH and one grandson: Andrew Weaver. He is also survived by his Significant Other of 18 years: Phyllis M. Poling of Fort Recovery and her daughter: Charity Idle of Richmond, IN and her two sons: Christian and Hunter Lennon and 3 Sisters: Holly McReynolds, Peggy Kelly and Melody Vale all of Piqua and One brother: Tracy Weaver of Piqua; also surviving is a special friend; Larry Blowers of Rossburg. One brother: Lex Weaver and one sister: Dodie preceded him in death.
Donnie graduated from Piqua Central High School in 1973 and attended Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, MI. He was a strong man of faith and a hard worker. He trained to obtain his pilots license, enjoyed racing and was a musician.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua with Dr. Rick Arrowood, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery in Piqua.

Kelly G. AVITT: age 42 of Piqua; died December 3, 2004. He was born October 21, 1962 in Flagstaff, AZ to Fred Avitt of Montana and Virlene (Spence) Fox of California.
Mr. Avitt married
Yvonne (Ferguson) Avitt April 13, 2001 in Troy; she survives. He is also survived by 3 daughters: Heather Avitt of Washington, Sara Avitt of Washington and Katherine; one son: Brian; 2 step-sons: Robert Riddle of Indiana and Robert Leal of Piqua and two step-daughters: Elizabeth (Lisa) Leal of Piqua and Rebekah (Beka) Leal of Piqua; 2 brothers: Carl Haney of California and Virgil Haney of Urbana; 1 sister: Brenda Avitt of California, 1 brother-in-law: Mike and Cheryl Ferguson of Union City, OH and 3 sisters-in-law: Rebecca and Keith McDaniel of Georgia, Candy and Marty Hall of Georgia and Pam and Bruce Betler of Kentucky and 3 granddaughters.
Kelly graduated from St. Marys Adult High School in Fort Carson, Colorado. He served our country in the U.S. Army.
Memorial Services will be Friday, December 10, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill cemetery.
Mark A. Dailey, age 48 of Springfield, Formerly of Piqua, died December 8, 2004 in his residence. He was born June 21, 1956 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to the late Richard and Janice (Besecker) Dailey.
Mr. Dailey is survived by his fiancé, Margie White of Springfield: three sisters, Gayle Clark of Piqua, Patricia Young of Piqua and Lana White of Piqua. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhonda Schrubb.
Graveside Services will be Monday, December 13, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Hill cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.

DAVID F. SPADE, age 66, of Covington, Ohio, died Wednesday December 22, 2004 at his residence. He was born July 2, 1938 in Troy, Ohio to the late Ivan and Irene (Plantz) Spade. He married
Esther (Maxwell) and she preceded him in death May 4, 2001. He then married
Alice (Wicknick) Ventura August 24, 2002 in Piqua, Ohio and she survives.
Also surviving are 5 Daughters and Son In Laws: Bonnie & David Shroyer; Dawn & Dennie Paul; Diane & Larry Stewart all of Piqua; Jackie & Albert Alvarado of El Paso, Texas; Mary Helen Spade of Mesa, Arizona; 1 Step Daughter: Pam Brown of Piqua.
4 Sons and Daughter-In-Laws: Ronnie & Rose Rose of Piqua; Anthony & Juanita Spade of El Paso, Texas; Carlos & Armida Spade El Paso, Texas; David Spade of Richmond, Texas. 2 Step Sons: Dennis Fuge of Elida, Ohio and Doug Fuge of Piqua, Ohio. 1 Brother: Wayne Spade of Ohio; 1 Sister: Carolyn Spade of Bradford, Ohio. David is also survived by 12 Grandchildren. He is also survived by Maria Elena Villalobos, the mother of several of his children.
Mr. Spade was a 1956 graduate of Troy High School. He was a member of the Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly, Piqua. David was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Mr. Spade was a rural route carrier for the Piqua Daily Call for 10 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 29, 2004 at 11 A.M. at the Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly in Piqua with Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery with full military honors by The Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-5 & 6-8 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua, Ohio.
ORVILLE J. (RED) STEINKE, age 74, of Piqua, Ohio, died Wednesday December 29, 2004 at Piqua Manor Nursing Home. He was born January 12, 1930 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio to the late Louis and Anna (Schmidt) Steinke.
Red is survived by 4 sisters: Victoria Deloy, Ft. Loramie, OH, Rita Vagedes, Piqua, OH, Mary Louise Yenny, Piqua, OH and Georgianna Schlicker, Piqua, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mr. Steinke was a 1948 graduate of Piqua Catholic High School. He was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church and a former member of Piqua VFW Post #4874 and American Legion Post #184. Red served in the U. S. Marine Corp. from 1950 – 1952 and the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and a dedicated Notre Dame Fan. Red loved to square dance and was a brick layer for over 25 years in the Piqua area.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 3, 2005 at 11 A.M. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua with Rev. Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery with full military honors by The Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME, Piqua, Ohio. A prayer service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home. STORM D. BLACK, age 57, Piqua, Ohio, died Thursday December 30, 2004 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. She was born December 7, 1947 in Piqua, OH to the late Jack and Violet (Via) Marino. She married
James Black on July 10, 1965 in Piqua, OH. He survives.
Also surviving are 2 Daughters and Sons In Law: Janet and Jeff Maier, Sidney, OH and Misty and Troy Iddings, Piqua, OH; 2 Brothers: Tony Marino, Pleasant Hill, Oh and Jimmie Marino, Piqua, OH; 2 Sisters: Darlene Lavy, Piqua, OH and Stacy Winsler, Piqua, OH; and 5 Grandchildren: Cory, Alanna and Breanna Maier, of Sidney, OH and Sierra and Troy Iddings, of Piqua, OH. Mrs. Black was preceded in death by 1 son: Jim Black III.
Storm was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Piqua. She worked for Piqua Jr. High School as a cook for 4 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 5, 2005 at 2 P.M. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua with Rev. Allan Preuss officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH. KENNETH “Kenny” L. EVANS: age 40 of Piqua, Ohio, died Monday January 3, 2005 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. He was born July 11, 1964 at DeWitt Army Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA to the late Kenneth D. Evans and F. Carolyn “Carol” (Fuller) Evans of Piqua.
Kenny is survived by 1 daughter: Sarah Evans of Rosewood; 1 son: Kenneth Dale Evans of Hamilton; 1 sister: Sherri Fetters of Piqua; and a special niece and her daughter: Elaine Werling and Brandi Meadows of Williamsburg, KY.
Kenny graduated from Piqua High School in 1983 and was currently employed by ConAgra Foods in Sidney. He was a hard worker and took joy in completing things and having them done right. His orneriness and smile will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home in Piqua with Rev. Fr. James Hoffbaurer officiating.

Mary C. (Hirschbolz) Holler: age 98 of Piqua, died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born April 4, 1906 in Piqua to the late Joseph and Frances (Zehringer) Hirschbolz. She married
Gerald C. Holler at St. Boniface Church in Piqua November 14, 1928; he preceded her in death February 16, 1988.
Mrs. Holler is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Lee and William Hinger of Piqua and Judy and Ed Murray of Washington, ILL and one sister: Katherine McGill of St. Marys and 9 grandchildren: Jim and Karen Hinger of Providence, RI, Mike and Kathy Hinger of West Chester, Patrick and Cathy (Gibbs) Hinger of Michigan City, IN, Bill and Mary Beth Hinger of Columbus, Dan and Sue Hinger of West Chester, Anne and Larry Gabbard of West Chester, Michele and Dean Fitzpatrick of St. Louis, MO, Angie and Jason Sawyer of Oberlin Park, KS and Stephanie and Emmett Cunnane of Lockport, IL.and 15 great grandchildren and one on the way and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special friend and neighbor Cathy Kerns of Piqua. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mary attended St. Boniface Commercial High School and was a member of St. Boniface Church. She was a member of the St. Claires Society, YWCA and Golden Years Club. She volunteered in the cafeteria at St. Boniface and Piqua Catholic schools. Mary’s church and family were very important to her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Church in Piqua with Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 5:00 p.m.
