CHAD SPENCER KELCH, 27, of Sidney, Ohio. died Saturday October 26, 2002 in Sidney, Ohio, due to the results of an auto accident.
He was born Feb. 25, 1975 in Piqua, Ohio to Spencer and C. Jane (Corky) Kelch of Piqua, Ohio and they survive. He married
Andrea Bowerman on March 7, 1998 in Piqua and she survives.
Other survivors include two Grandmothers: Helen Jones of Piqua, and Naomi Kelch of Piqua. 2 Sisters: Lori Bowman of Sidney, Ohio and Jenny Lemmon of Beltsville, Maryland. Three nieces: Carley Lemmon and Shelby Lemmon both of Beltsville, Maryland, and Rachel Bowman of Sidney, Oh. Four nephews, Trent Bowman of Sidney, Oh., Jacob, Jackson, and Blake Lemmon of Beltsville, Maryland. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Kelch.
Chad graduated from Piqua High School in 1993. He attended the Family of Grace United Methodist Church in Piqua where he served as a trustee of the Church. Chad was a Self-employed Contractor.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Family of Grace United Methodist Church, Piqua, with Dr. Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill cemetery, Piqua, Ohio.
Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.

Jose Antonio Ramirez: age 39 of Piqua, died Sunday, October 27, 2002 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Jose was born August 14, 1965 in LaFeria, Texas to the late Jose and Antonina (Villanueva) Ramirez.
Jose is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law: Jupiter and Sue Ramirez of Findlay, Ricarte and Shelley Ramirez of Indiana and Miguel DeLaFuente of Piqua and two sisters: Venus Ramirez of Indiana and Marlen DeLaFuente of Piqua. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews: Rapheal and Clarissa Ramirez of Findlay, Rikki, James and Selena Ramirez of Indiana, Katelyn DeLaFuenta of Piqua and Lesley Maydon, Carlos Maydon and Cynthia Rios of Indiana and two special friends: David Bell and Shirley LeMaster of Piqua.
Mr. Ramirez is a member of the Piqua Apostolic Church. He was well loved and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be Wednesday October 30, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at Piqua Apostolic Church with Rev. Daniel Hathaway officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements being made through Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.

MARY K. RIGGLEMAN, age 86, of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, formerly of Piqua, Ohio, died Tuesday October 29, 2002 at 11:45 A.M. in her residence. She was born Aug. 1, 1916 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Paul and Margaret (Connery) Jenkins.
Surviving is 1 Daughter and Son-In-Law: Jean and Ron Fogt of Edgewood, Ky. 1 Son and Daughter-In-Law: James and Norma Woodard of Napierville, Illinois. 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: 2 Great Grandsons and 4 Brothers and 1 Sister.
Mrs. Riggleman was a member of St. Mary Church, Piqua, Oh. She was the owner of Riggleman Nursing Home in Piqua for over 25 years. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at Forest Hill cemetery, Piqua with Rev.Fr. Thomas Grilliot officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County P.O. Box 507 Troy, Ohio 45373. Arrangements are being handled by MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME.
Faye A. Carter: age 88 of Piqua; died Monday, November 4, 2002 at 11:08 am at Garbry Ridge Assisted Living in Piqua. She was born December 13, 1913 in Moorefield, Ohio to the late Charles O. and Rowene F. (Quinn) Edwards. She married
Robert E. Nichols August 27, 1940 in Cadiz, Ohio; he preceded her in death December 25, 1969. She married
James Carter January 14, 1985;he also preceded her in death May 7, 1995.
Mrs. Carter is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Ray and Paige Nicholols of Piqua, one stepson and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Millie Carter of Columbus, Ohio and one stepdaughter and son-in-law: Lois and Barnett Golding of Columbus, Ohio. Three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive her. One sister and one brother preceded her in death.
Faye graduated from Moorefield High School in 1931and is a member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church in Cadiz, Ohio. She was a florist for ten years in Cadiz, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be Friday, November 8, 2002 at 1:00 pm at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home in Cadiz, Ohio with Rev. Bob Hooker officiating. Burial will follow in Cadiz Union cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Services.
Local arrangements are by Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.
Darlene B. Smith: age 62 of Piqua; died Monday, November 4, 2002 at 6:35 p.m. in her residence. She was born September 16, 1940 in Piqua and is the daughter of Gus and Betty (Mayo) Thornberry. She married
Bob Smith March 24, 1962 in Piqua; he survives.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her mother: Betty Thornberry of Piqua; one son and daughter-in-law: Rob and Sharon Smith of Piqua; one daughter and son-in-law: Lisa and Neils Bray of Piqua; one sister: Cindy Via of Piqua and one brother: Keith Thornberry of Piqua. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Caleb Smith of Kentucky, Dior Smith of Oakwood, Kendra Bray of Piqua, Jordan Bray of Piqua and Kayliegh Bray of Piqua. Two daughters, Valerie and Vickie Tabler and her father: Gus Thornberry preceded her in death.
Darlene graduated from Piqua Catholic High School in 1958 and is a member of St. Boniface Church. She was a homemaker, owner and bookkeeper for Smith Plumbing.
Mass Of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Church. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.

Everett Harvey Smith: age 57 of Piqua; died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 3:10 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born July 31, 1945 in Blackberry, Kentucky to the late Harrison and Georgie Smith. He married
Bertha M. Smith October 26, 1962 in Lebanon, VA; she survives.
Harvey is survived by one daughter: Debbie Smith of Piqua; two brothers and sister –in-law: Donnie and Daryl Smith of Blackberry, KY and Michael and Margaret Smith of Canada, KY; one sister and brother-in-law: Marcedes and Ernest Taylor of Beverly Hill, Fla. and one granddaughter: April Smith of Piqua.
Mr. Smith was a attended Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly. He owned Smith’s Paint and Body Shop in Piqua for 25 years where he specialized in Corvette’s. He also owned Harv’s Auto Sales in Piqua for 15 years.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at 12:00 noon at Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly in Piqua with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.

Mary V. “Pete” (Tamplin) Harvey: age 84 of Tipp City, formerly of Piqua; died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 4:25 p.m. at Spring Mead Nursing Home in Tipp City. She was born October 4, 1918 in Miami County to the late Matthew W. and Mary C. (Bruss) Tamplin. She married
Russell Harvey August 30, 1939; he preceded her in death July 18, 1985.
Mrs. Harvey is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald Harvey of Troy and Dennis and Odilia Harvey of Troy, two daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Herb Sheldon of Piqua and Sharen and Jeffery Wenrick of Piqua and one daughter-in-law: Sheila Fulks of Piqua. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren: Troy Harvey, Robin Elliott, Zachary Harvey and Kaysha Harvey; David Harvey and Christina Richard; Michael Shawn Anderson, Danny Anderson, Kami White and Kelli Anderson; Christopher Wenrick and Dustin Wenrick and Candi Skipper, Sue Ashford, Doyle Harvey, Rob Harvey, Dawne Kinsey and Jozan Harmon and twenty-four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one son: Jerry Harvey, one granddaughter: Shari Anderson, five brothers: Merle, Byron, Lowell, Preston and Eugene Tampli and three sisters: Irene Deal, Helen Cool and Yvonna Eichelberger.
Mary attended Piqua Central High School and was a member of Praise Temple Assembly of God in Sidney. She was a loving and Christian mother and grandmother. She touched many lives through both physical contact and prayer; she will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Sargeant officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 – 8:00p.m.at the funeral home.

Maxcine E. Cupp, 79, of Troy, died Monday November 11, 2002 at 8:50 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born Dec. 27, 1922 in Spokane, Washington to the late Alfred and May (Adler) Nauman. She married
James J. Cupp on Jan. 31, 1943 in Wallawalla, Washington and he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1963.
Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry L. and Becky Cupp of Colorado Springs, Co., and C. Ray and Janet Cupp of Eugene, Oregon. One daughter; Barbara J. Weaver of Piqua, Oh.; One sister, Joy Liborio of Rhode Island; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one son.
Mrs. Cupp was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Piqua. She worked for Copeland Corporation in Sidney, Oh. for 35 years.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday Nov. 14 at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, with Pastor Vergniaud Angrand officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill cemetery in Piqua. Visitation will be Thursday 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
William L. Supinger, 67, of Piqua, died Thursday Nov. 14, 2002 at 4:45 a.m. at the Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, Oh. He was born Oct. 12, 1935 in Piqua, Oh. To the late Robert H. and Virginia (Ball) Supinger. He married
Peggy Martin on Sept. 2, 1960 in Piqua, Oh. And she survives.
Other survivors include six daughters and sons-in-law, Pandora and Frank Howard of Piqua, Sally Supinger of Piqua, Robin Supinger of Piqua, Rhonda and Randy Ritter of Piqua, Tammy and Christopher Kendall of Piqua, and Ginger and Scott Ponchillia of Piqua; one brother, Robert Supinger, of Sidney, Oh. Thirteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one brother and one granddaughter.
Mr. Supinger was an entrepreneur and a prominent businessman in Piqua for several years.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday Nov. 18, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, with Pastor Terry Pressel officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sun. Nov. 17 at the funeral home.

Mark Alan Kolker, Sr.: age 38 of St. Paris; died Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at 10:17 p.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born August 29, 1964 in Piqua to Marion Kolker of Piqua and the late Jane (Reeder) Kolker. Mark married
his Jr. High Sweetheart, Lisa (Cantrell), Kolker February 12, 1983 at Piqua Missionary Church; she survives.
He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Courtney and Juan DeLasancha of Piqua and Mandy Kolker of St. Paris; one son: Mark A. Kolker, Jr. of St. Paris and one grandson: Jonathan DeLasancha of Piqua and would be blessed with a second grandchild in January. He is also survived by his mother-in-law: Louise Cantrell of Piqua; three brothers and their wives: Timothy and Chris Kolker of Bradford, David and Becky Kolker of Houston and Scott and Sheryl Kolker of Piqua; one sister and her husband: Nancy and Randy Tipps of Piqua and three sisters-in-law: Jody Ball, Patricia Simpson and Mary Carter and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Winford “Moose” Cantrell, brother-in-law: Charlie Cantrell and Grandmother: Helen Reeder.
Mark attended Piqua Central High School and was a member of Lena Baptist Church. He was very proud of being a Boy Scout, enjoyed camping and loved football, especially the Cincinnati Bengals. D.J. Lavy Construction in Piqua formerly employed him.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery in St. Paris. Visitation will be Monday 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
