Bobbie J. Mullins: age 31 of Piqua died Wednesday, December 25, 2002. She was born November 27, 1971 in Troy. Her father, June K. Mullins, preceded her in death.
Bobbie is survived by her fiancé: Cleve Cooley of Piqua and five children: Jerold K. Mullins, Kyle K. Mullins, Dillon Spade, Timothy J. Henslee and Crystal Spade all of Sidney. One brother and one sister also survive her. She is also survived by special friends: Barbara Miller, Angela Reed, Vicki Miller, Tim Miller, Jason Smith, Patrick Henslee and many other friends. She was well loved and will be greatly missed, especially by her three cats: Gary, Pete and C.C. One cousin, Jimmy Mullins, preceded her in death.
Bobbie loved to cook and attended Troy High School. She was the former assistant manager at Star Fire gas station on County Rd. 25-A, Piqua.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 31, 202 at 1:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Gross officiating. Burial will be Thursday, January 2, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside cemetery in Troy.

ADA E. HEWITT, age 78, of Piqua, Ohio, died Monday December 23, 2002 at 8:25 A.M. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, Ohio. She was born December 9, 1924 in Great Caca Pon, W. Va. To the late Truman and Daisy (Kidwell) Mencer. She married
William Hewitt Dec. 1, 1951 in Union City, Indiana and he preceded her in death in 1960.
Surviving is 1 Daughter and Son-In-Law: Cindy and Tom Landsiedel of Russia, Ohio. 1 Brother: Ray Mencer of Cumberland, Maryland. 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 Daughter, 1 Granddaughter, 3 Grandsons, 2 Brothers and 1 Sister.
Mrs. Hewitt was a 1941 graduate of Berekley High School in Berekley Springs, W. Va. She was employed several years at Goodwill Industries and Sunset Lounge in Piqua, Ohio.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME.
BERNARD D. DIDIER, Sr. age 78, of Piqua, Ohio, died Saturday January 4, 2003 at 3:45 P.M. at Harborside Health Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born in Bradford, Ohio Sept. 24, 1924 to the late Charles J. and Magdalene (Lachet) Didier. He married
Ida Mae Poling February 26, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana and she preceded him in death Sept. 10, 1990.
Surviving are 2 Sons and Daughter-In-Laws: Bernard D. Jr. and Mary Didier of Troy, Ohio and William E. and Joetta Didier of Piqua, Ohio.
5 Grandchildren: William E. Didier, Jr. and Kimberly Didier both of Piqua, Ohio, Tina Didier and Penny Didier both of Troy, Ohio, Robin Didier of Columbus, Ohio. A beloved Great Granddaughter: Kaitlyn Didier of Piqua, Ohio.
2 Sisters: Wilma Wirrig of Covington, Ohio and Rose Byers of Piqua, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Lena Fern Didier, 5 Sisters: Stella Osterloh, Josephine Huelskamp, Martha Barga, Myrtle Byers, Eileen Miller. 2 Brothers: Clarence and Leonard Didier. Bernard had been employed at the former Wood Shovel and French Oil Milling Co. retiring in 1981. Mr. Didier also enjoyed working at Poling Auto Parts in Troy with his sons.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday January 8, 2003 at 11 A.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Donald Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

PAULINE C. MILLHOUSE, age, 81 of Piqua, Ohio, died Wednesday January 1, 2003 at 9:13 A.M. at Heartland of Piqua Nursing Home. She was born June 5, 1921 in Los Angeles, California to the late William and Carrie (Boyll) Oldham. She married
David A. Millhouse on February 17, 1945 in Piqua, Ohio and he died November 13, 1991.
Surviving are 2 Sons: William John Millhouse and Scott Allin Millhouse both of Piqua, Ohio. 2 Granddaughters: Cassie and Lisa Millhouse both of Daytona Beach, Florida. Mrs. Millhouse was preceded in death by 1 Brother and 1 Sister.
Mrs. Millhouse was a member of St. Mary Church, Piqua, Ohio. She was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the American Legion Auxillary. She worked at Piqua Memorial Medical Center as a nurses aid trained attendant for 25 years and retiring in 1988.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday Jan. 4, 2003 at 10 A.M. at St. Mary Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Grilliot officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME. A prayer service will be held Friday at 6 P.M. in the funeral home. LELA E. HANEY, age 91 of Piqua, Ohio died Monday January 6, 2003 at 12 Noon in the home of her grandson Paul Bair of St. Paris, Ohio surrounded by her family. She was born in Meridian, Mississippi September 14, 1911 to the late John and Eunice (Scoggins) Spence. She married
Robert L. Haney on May 8, 1929 in Newport, Ky. and he died in 1970. Lela was matriarch to five generations and 36 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Haney was a former member of Piqua Baptist Church and was presently attending Light House Ministries in Sidney, Ohio. She was a waitress for over 50 years retiring in 1971. Lela avidly enjoyed baseball, crochet, and had a passion for sewing, dancing, and her family.
Funeral services will be Friday January 10, 2003 at 1 P.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Robert Denman and Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill cemetery. HARLEY DULIN, age 55 of Piqua, Ohio died Wednesday January 15, 2003 at 8:15 A.M. in his residence. He was born October 5, 1947.
He is survived by his father: Johnny Dulin of Troy, Ohio and his mother: Charlene (Lair) Maxon of Piqua, Ohio. He married
Marianna Monroe on February 22, 1969 in Piqua, O. and she survives.
Also surviving is 2 daughters: Tina Dulin and Carolyn Dulin both of Piqua, Ohio. 1 Son: Lonnie Dulin Of Piqua, Ohio. 5 Brothers: Terry Maxon of Sidney, Ohio; Tom And Robert Maxon both of Piqua, Ohio.; John Dulin, Jr. of Troy, Ohio; Rick Dulin of Sidney, Ohio. 5 Sisters: Florence Francis of Piqua, Ohio; LaDonna Montgomery of Indiana; Debbie Curtis of troy, Ohio; Yvonne Noel and Kim Puckett both of Sidney, Ohio. 1 Step Brother: William Maxon of Georgia. 1 Grandson: Corrie Felver of Piqua, Ohio.
Mr. Dulin was a member of the Madison Ave. First Church of God, Piqua, Ohio. He was employed for 25 years at Copeland Corp. in Sidney, Ohio retiring in 1989.

HAROLD LEE JESS, age 51, of Piqua, Ohio died Friday January 17, 2003 at 5 A.M. in his residence. He was born January 8, 1952 in Shelby County to Harold E. and Annajane (McVety) Jess of Piqua, Ohio and they survive. Also surviving is his Sister and Brother-In-Law: Ina & Randy Howard of Piqua, Ohio. Also 2 Nieces and 2 Nephews.
Mr. Jess graduated in 1970 from Piqua High School and attended Miami University for 3 years. He was employed at Spring Hill Nursery in Tipp City, Ohio in the shipping Dept. for 13 years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 21, 2003 at 11 A.M. at MELCHER-SOWERS FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Daniel House officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:30-11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Jeff D. Thomas, 73, of Dayton, Oh, died at 8:55 a.m. Tues. Jan. 28, 2003 in Grafton Oaks Nursing Home in Dayton. He was born Oct 24, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas.
He is survived by three daughters, Susan Idle of Piqua, Yolanda Fullerton of Lima, Ohio, and Theresa Frey of Piqua; Two sons and daughter-in-law, Norman & Donna Thomas of Sidney, Oh, and James Thomas of Sidney; and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Thomas was in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1956.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Fr. Angelo Caserta officiating.

Fannie (Craine) Ciriegio: age 83 of Covington died Monday, February 10, 2003 at 5:23 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born October 30, 1919 in Bradford, Ohio to the late Famiano and Rosa (Pilli) Craine. Fannie married
Philip J. Ciriegio May 24, 1941; he preceded her in death December 17, 1998.
Mrs. Ciriegio is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Tony and Wendy Ciriegio of Covington; One daughter and son-in-law: Sylvia and Jerry Fessler of Covington; four granddaughters: Elizabeth (Betsy) Fessler, Laura Ciriegio, Carolyn Ciriegio and Sarah Ciriegio; one brother: Joseph Craine of Covington and three sisters: Mrs. Marion Bayliss (Maggie) of Bradford, Mrs. Esther Hunt of Huber Heights and Mrs. Rosie Mitchell of Bradford. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Fannie graduated from Bradford High School 1938. She was a member of St. Boniface Church and attended St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Church in Covington. She was a member of the St. Clara Society. Fannie was a cook at Washington Elementary and Bennett Jr. High for ten years, retiring in 1983.

Anna M. (Briggs) Burke: age 78 of Piqua, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at 9:09 a.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. She was born February 23, 1924in Sidney, Ohio to the late James f. and Grace (Tunks) Briggs. Anna married
Milton Martin in 1941; he preceded her in death May 30, 1960. She married
her second husband, Donald Burke in 1970. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1994.
Mrs. Burke is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Grace and Bill Bynum of Piqua, one son and daughter-in-law: Scott and Connie Martin of Piqua, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one half brother.
Anna graduated from Sidney High School and was a member of The Family of Grace United Methodist Church in Piqua.
Funeral Services will be Friday, February 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Point cemetery in Pasco, Ohio. Visitation will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
