Erma M. Heidlebaugh, 89, of Santa Fe, New Mexico and formerly Vaughnsville, died Thursday at 1:04 p.m. at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima. She had been a resident at Otterbein, Leipsic. She was born Jan. 30, 1914 in Vaughnsville, to William A. and Ethel (Jones) Heidlebaugh. Survivors include seven nephews, John (Robin) Richards of Bay Village, Byron Heidlebaugh and Myron Heidlebaugh of Glenwood, New Mexico; Gary (Mary) Heidlebaugh of Benton Ridge; Thomas (Margaret) Heidlebaugh and William (Bette) Heidlebaugh of Findlay, and Robert (Sara) Richards, Jr. of Upper Arlington; one niece, Carol (Leighton) Scott of Cleveland Heights.; a sister, Jean H. (Robert) Richards of Westlake; and several great-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John M. Heidlebaugh and Gordon Heidlebaugh; and a sister, Edith Lilly. Mrs. Heidlebaugh was a bookkeeper in the offices of Bennett Grain Elevators, working in Fort Jennings and Columbus Grove. She also worked at Los Alomas, New Mexico, for many years as an accountant before retiring to Santa Fe. She was a graduate of Vaughnsville High School in 1932, after which she attended secretarial school in Fort Wayne, Ind. She enjoyed doing contemporary oil painting, was an avid reader, was interested in current events and world affairs. She also spent a lot of time doing genealogy on the Heidlebaugh family. She was a member of a "First Family of Ohio", tracing ancestry living in Ohio before 1820. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Private graveside services will be held for the family at a later date. Burial will be in the Vaughnsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions are to the donor's choice.

Janet K. Schnipke, 51, of Ottawa, died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born May 11, 1951 in Lima, to Erwin and Alvena (Cain) Diemer. On Feb. 13, 1971, she married Albert Schnipke. He survives in Ottawa. Survivors include three sons, Sylvester (Tina) Schnipke of Bluffton, Scott (Stacey) Schnipke of Ottawa and Steven (Heather) Schnipke of Delphos; two daughters, Shellie (Kent) Chalfin of East Liberty and Staci (Roger) Van Sant of Findlay; three brothers, Ronald (Linda) Diemer, Sr., of Ottawa; James (Judy) Diemer of San Antonio, and Gerald (Karolyn) Diemer of Leipsic; a sister, Karen Diemer of Leipsic; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Anthony Diemer. She was a telemarketer with Henry Ade Productions on behalf of Putnam Peace Officers. She also worked at the Ottawa Pizza Hut. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, the Ottawa VFW and Leipsic American Legion auxiliaries. Ruth Ella Boughan Johnston, 74, of Lima, died at 10:37 p.m. Tuesday at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born July 26, 1928 in Lima, to Dewey W. and Edna P. (McClure) Boughan. On Aug. 3, 1946, she married Grover Isaac Johnston, who died June 16, 1984. Survivors include two daughters, Karlene R. McNamaro of Lima, and Joanna L. Knepper of Spencerville; a daughter-in-law, Tonia Johnston of Lima; a sister, E. Pauline Turner of Toledo; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Johnston; three brothers, William, Robert and Richard Boughan; a sister, Dorothy M. "Shorty" Clum; and a son-in-law, Ron Knepper. Mrs. Johnston worked on an assembly line at International Brake, at Artex Hobby Products and Fultz Lumber Company. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary. Roy D. Russell, 86, of Rockford, died at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville. He was born June 10, 1916 in Spencerville, to Harley and Pearl (Gaskill) Russell. Survivors include two sons, Scott Russell of Delphos and Donny Russell of Brandon, Fla.; two daughters, Donna Russell of New Bremen and Linda Osbourne of Brandon; a sister, Margaret Deacon of Boston, Mass.; a niece, Shirley Gaskill of Spencerville; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Carpenter; and a brother, Stanley Russell. Mr. Russell worked at Ford Motor Company as a laborer. Patricia Lee Bell, 53, of Lima, died at 4:40 p.m. Monday at her residence. She was born July 28, 1949 in Lima, to Harold and Emma Jean (Lambert) Kindle. Survivors include three sons, Tim, Todd and Carey Moore of Lima; a daughter, Lisa Moore of Lima; three brothers, Harold and Larry Kindle and Jack (LaDonna Ford) Kindle of Lima; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson. Ms. Bell was a homemaker and attended Shalom Ministries. Verna Hazel Gassman, 97, of Lima, died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday at Springview Manor Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 23, 1905, in Jackson Hill, Ind., to Christopher and Cordelia Keyser. On Aug. 14, 1931, she married Harry Max Mitchell, who died Aug. 9, 1938. She then married William Gassman on June 28, 1955, who died Sept. 18, 1972. Survivors include a son, Tony (Carolyn) Mitchell of Lima; five grandchildren and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jewell Fish. Mrs. Gassman retired from Greyhound Bus Lines. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark United Methodist Church, the Rev. Howard Allison officiating. There is no visitation. Marguerite Pennell

Marguerite Thurman Pennell, 91, of Van Wert, died 2:10 p.m. Tuesday at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home. She was born June 12, 1911, in Van Wert, to Noble Elvis and Josephine (Keltner) Thurman. On Aug. 20, 1936, she married Laurence E. Pennell, who died Sept. 18, 1984. Survivors include a son, Laurence E. (Robin) Pennell of Van Wert; a daughter, Margaret Ann Greene of Harpswell, Maine; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen "Molly" Pennell Mack; and a grandchild. Mrs. Pennell retired in 1976 from Van Wert City Schools as a sixth-grade teacher. She had also taught at the Marsh Foundation and Van Wert County School. She attended Miami University. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Van Wert, and a charter member of the Van Wert County Historical Society. She has an avid interest in Ohio history and genealogy. Rosalie J. Gamble, 75, of Versailles, formerly of Van Wert, died 5:10 a.m. Tuesday at Versailles Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 17, 1927 in Van Wert, to Harry E. and Dora O. (Whitcraft) Adams. On April 7, 1947, she married Richard M. Gamble, who died Oct. 24, 1992. Survivors include two sons, Dana (Cassie) Gamble of Chillicothe and Gary (Candy) Gamble of Greenville; a brother, Harry (Pat) Adams of Three Rivers, Mich.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers. Mrs. Gamble retired as assistant vice president for People Bank and Trust, Van Wert. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Van Wert, and its Women's Circle. She was also a member of Van Wert Women's Club and the Van Wert American Legion Auxiliary. Suanne S. Ulm, 46, of Lima, died at 6:58 a.m. Monday at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Feb. 21, 1957 in Lima, to George and Carol J. (Ellis) Sciranka Jr. Her mother survives in Lima. On Oct. 6, 1984, she married Michael Ulm, who also survives. Other survivors include four brothers, George J. Sciranka III of Lima, Stanley "Stan" (Kim) Sciranka of Gomer, Steven "Steve" (Mary) Sciranka of Elida and Richard "Rick" (Belinda) Sciranka of Shawnee; three sisters, Judy Schaaf of Lima and Rebecca Luthman and Stacy Fahlsing of Cridersville; four nephews, Matt, Marc, Patrick and Spencer Sciranka; and four nieces, Sarah, Marissa, Alison and Anna Sciranka. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Jared Sciranka. Mrs. Ulm worked at Allen County Job and Family Services as an income maintenance supervisor for 26 years. Catharine "Kate" A. Mayberry, 87, of Columbus Grove, died 1:46 p.m. Sunday at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Sept. 6, 1915, near Miller City, to Irvin D. and Zoe (Ridenour) Mullett. On Aug. 18, 1937, she married James A. Mayberry, who died May 9, 1993. Survivors include two sons, James J. (Esther) Mayberry of Cheyenne, Wyo., and William (Shirley) Mayberry of Columbus Grove; a brother, Chester Mullett of Ottawa; two sisters, Bernice (Frank) McGee of Buffalo, N.Y., and Jeanette (Ray) Buckland of Ottawa; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol Jean Mayberry; a daughter, Charlene Mayberry; and a sister, Marie Rieman. Mrs. Mayberry was a homemaker and worked at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove as a greeter. She was a member of Columbus Grove United Church of Christ and its Women's Fellowship and Bible Study. She was also a member of the Child Study Club of Columbus Grove. (Curless) White. Survivors include two sons, Edwin William (Jean) Gibson of Convoy and Gary Lee (Jayne) Gibson of Bluffton, Ind.; a brother, Edwin H. (Patricia) White of Sebring, Fla.; a sister, Joanna J. (Roger) Ranck of LaFontaine, Ind.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Mrs. Gibson was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Convoy, and the Japonica Garden Club. Phyllis A. McCray, 74, of Lima, formerly of Spencerville, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday at the S.C.C.I. Hospital in Lima. She was born Nov. 22, 1928 in Spencerville, to Leon S. and Adda L. (Metzger) McCray. Survivors include a brother, Thomas J. (Mary L.) McCray of Spencerville; two nieces, Susan (Todd) Spicer of St. Marys and LuAnn (Mark) Youngpeter of Spencerville; two nephews, David (Lynn) McCray of Lima and Ron McCray of Monroeville, Ind.; four great-nieces, LeAndra Spicer of Columbus, Laura Spicer and Janelle Youngpeter of Dayton and Katie Lynn McCray of Lima; and a great-nephew, Jeffrey Youngpeter of Spencerville. Mrs. McCray retired as a secretary from the former Baldwin-Lima Hamilton Corp., Clark Equipment Company and later worked for Office World in Lima. She was a 1946 graduate of Spencerville High School. James Henry Mack, 80, of Fort Jennings, died at 8:20 p.m. Friday at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born March 4, 1922, in New Cleveland, to Henry and Catherine (Wyant) Mack. On April 18, 1948, he married Ruth Mary Hoehn, who died May 16, 1991. Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Patricia) Mack of Taneytown, Md., and William (Virginia) Mack of Kalida; two daughters, Karen (Rodney) Wagner of Fort Jennings and Marilyn (Michael) Birkemeier of Columbus Grove; two sisters, Lucinda Mack of Fort Jennings and Beatrice Schroeder of Columbus Grove; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Father Lawrence, Linus, Vincent, Richard and Joseph Mack; and two sisters, Rosina Geckle and Agnes Wurth. Mr. Mack retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings, the Delphos and Ottawa Eagles lodges, the Fort Jennings American Legion and Ottawa Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Ethel L. Knapp, 95, of Delphos, died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday at Paradise Oaks Care Center, Cloverdale. She was born Jan. 25, 1908, in Delphos, to Arnold H. and Clara A. (Reinemeyer) Kortier. On June 1, 1926, she married Lawrence W. Knapp, who died Oct. 27, 1970. Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis A., Carl F. and Omer A. Kortier. Mrs. Knapp was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and its Altar Rosary Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Sacred Heart League. Betty E. Link, 78, of Lima, died 9:48 a.m. Saturday at Otterbein-Cridersville Nursing Home. She was born April 30, 1924 in Lima, to Herman and Hazel (Rotroff) Lusk. Survivors include her sister-in-law and caregiver Norma Lusk of Lima; three nephews, Robert Linn of Greenville, David E. (Judy) Lusk of Ada and Robert Braidwood of Tennessee; a niece, Kimberly (Terry) White of Lima; three great-nieces and a great-nephew. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Lusk; a sister, Helen Linn; and a niece, Carol Ann Braidwood. Mrs. Link had worked at Westinghouse and was a self-employed seamstress. Rose A. Boecker, 69, of Cloverdale, died 10:20 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf. She was born Oct. 18, 1933, in Glandorf, to Joe and Mary (Romer) Karl Sr. On Oct. 18, 1952, she married Linus L. Kamphaus, who died Sept. 25, 1973. She then married Urban E. Boecker on June 23, 1978. He survives in Cloverdale. Other survivors include three daughters, Mary Jo (David) Radabaugh of Cloverdale, and Marilyn S. (Mark) Potthoff and Madonna L. Kamphaus of Glandorf; two brothers, Joe (Maxine) Karl Jr. of Glandorf, and James R. (Eloise) Karl of Kalida; three sisters, Margaret Gillett of Ottawa and Mary Barb Klausing and Cathy (Ron) Salisbury of Glandorf; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Boecker worked at Sylvania in the 1950s and at GTE from 1977-1979. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale, and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a sacristan for more than 30 years and was in the adult choir. She was also a member of the Cloverdale Senior Citizen Card Party Group and a former member of the Mandale and Cloverdale Community clubs. Orville William Hoehn, 84, of Dearborn, Mich., and Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Ottoville, died at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday in Mesa. He was born March 29, 1918, in Ottoville, to Joseph and Regina Carol (Kemper) Hoehn. On Sept. 27, 1941, he married A. Doreen Cadwell, who survives in Dearborn. Other survivors include a daughter, Patricia Marie Hoehn of West Bloomfield, Mich.; a son, Kenneth William Hoehn of Pinckney, Mich.; three sisters, Wilma (Frank) Sunderhaus and Norma (Dick) Wolke of Ottawa and Jenny Maag of Columbus Grove; three brothers, Ralph (Alice) Hoehn of Delphos, Joseph (Earlean) Hoehn of North Olmstead, and Jerry (Shirley) Hoehn of Ottoville; and a granddaughter, Christa Marie Hoehn. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Eugene, Victor, Richard and Tom Hoehn; and two sisters, Mary Mack and Mildred Wieging. Mr. Hoehn worked for a number of years at New York Central Railroad, retiring in 1978. He was a charter member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Dearborn. Mass of Christian burial will be in Dearborn, with viewing for local friends and family 5-9 p.m. Monday at Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp-Orians Funeral Home, Ottoville. On April 12, 1930, she married Herschel F. Stemen, who died Aug. 26, 1985. Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Howard of Lima, and Piccola V. Houck of Sidney; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Priscilla Stemen; a brother, Willard Sakemiller; and two sisters, Velma Mack and Gladys Miller. Mrs. Stemen was a homemaker. Nancy Marie Hickey, 57, of Morris, Ill., died Wednesday morning at University of Chicago Hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 1946 in Chicago, to Raymond and Frances (Kilda) Malcolm. On Feb. 4, 1967, she married Eugene Hickey, who survives in Morris. Other survivors include four children, Christine (John) Rodgers of Morris, Raymond (Jennifer) Hickey of Naperville, Erin (Kelly) Dransfeldt of Morris and Scott Hickey at home; two sisters, Linda (Steve) Anderson of Oaklawn and Tina (Phil) Zalewski of Nevada; a brother, Michael (Julie) Malcolm of Morris; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hickey was a nurse at Tratt Clinic and for Dr. Maningo. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Northern Illinois University, graduating summa cum laude with the class of 1991. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Morris. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert Hoffenkamp officiating. Janet E. Wilhelm, 64, of Delphos, died at 1:32 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Aug. 9, 1938 in Delphos, to Marion and Pauline (Teman) Moyer. Her mother, Pauline Maddux survives in Delphos. On Feb. 8, 1958, she married Roger Wilhelm, who also survives in Delphos. Other survivor include eight children, Linda (Terry) Johns of Delphos, Randy (Ruth) Wilhelm of Fort Jennings, Russ (Sandi) Wilhelm and Diane (Dave) Kill of Delphos, Elaine (Jeff) Gerding of Glandorf, Jerry (Annette) Wilhelm, Daniel (Tina) Wilhelm and Sharon Kay (Greg) Gossman of Delphos; a sister, Marian Carol (Ray) Byrnes of Frankford, Ind.; and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Moyer. Mrs. Wilhelm was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and headed up the Canal Days Quilt Show. She was also a 1956 graduate of Jefferson High School. She enjoyed sewing, sporting events and helping her grandchildren or anyone in need. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, where a parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Preferred memorials are to St. John Parish Foundation.

Eva M. Musser
April 22, 1930 - Feb. 18, 2003
Eva M. Musser, 72, of Delphos, died at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at her residence. She was born April 22, 1930 in Lima, to Bryan and Margaret (Smith) Kaverman. On Oct. 17, 1953, she married Bernard Musser, who survives in Delphos. Survivors also include two sons, Michael (Suzy) Musser of Key West, Fla., and Mark (Amy) Musser of Delphos; a daughter, Margaret "Peggy" (Patrick) Beuchel of Fort Wayne; a sister, Joann (Jack) Watson of Allentown, Pa.; a brother, Steven (Sandra) Kaverman of Truckee, Calif.; an uncle, Hank Smith of Lantana, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanne Burkeholder. Mrs. Musser worked many years at St. Rita's Medical Center and retired from Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and a graduate of St. John's High School and St. Rita's School of Nursing. She enjoyed playing cards and watching and feeding birds. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Harter and Son Memorial Chapel, where a rosary will be 7 p.m. and a parish wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Preferred memorials are to St. Vincent dePaul Society.

Nannie H. Adkins
April 29, 1926 - Feb. 17, 2003
Nannie H. (Tope) Adkins, 76, of Oakwood, died 11:30 p.m. Monday at Harborside, Defiance. She was born April 29, 1926, in Oak Hill, to Archie Edgar and Edna Earle (Smith) Tope. On May 1, 1945, she married Carl Duane Adkins, who survives in Oakwood. Other survivors include four sons, Richard (Bonnie) Adkins and Harold (Kitty) Adkins of Oakwood, Howard (Doneta) Adkins of Melrose and Gregory (Kathy) Adkins of Cecil; four daughters, Karen (Francis) Aldred and Carol (Greg) Jeffery of Paulding, Sharon (Hobert) Newsome of Oakwood and Barbara (Joseph) Carlisle of Mark Center; two sisters, Doris Roach and Nova Lovett; 20 grandchildren, 30 step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 21 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Madden and Ruth Adkins; a grandchild, John Clinton Parrish; and a stepgrandchild, Angel Coreen Brown. Mrs. Adkins was a private duty caregiver and homemaker. She was a member of Old Regular Baptist Northern Little Dove in Pierceton, Ind., since 1976. She liked to quilt, scrapbooking and flowers. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Oakwood, the Revs. Moses Griffey and Russell Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with private family services 5-6 p.m. Preferred memorials are to Old Regular Baptist Northern Little Dove in Plerceton.

Velma E. Dougal

Velma E. Dougal, 86, of Scott, died 8:05 a.m. Tuesday at Vancrest Health Care Center, Van Wert. She was born March 8, 1916, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, to Arthur F. and Dora (Heldner) Schaadt. On Oct. 1, 1949, she married Harold N. Dougal, who survives in Scott. Other survivors include three sons, George A. Dougal of Paulding, James H. (Jennifer) Dougal of Woodburn, Ind., and Jerry D. (Marsha) Dougal of Fort Wayne; a brother, Paul F. Schaadt of Van Wert; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters. Mrs. Dougal was a legal secretary for several lawyers and Realtors early in her career. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Country Chapel United Methodist Church, Haviland, and its United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Eastern Star, Van Wert Chapter. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. James Howell officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Dennis K. Hall

Dennis K. Hall, 45, of Lima, died 12:30 a.m. Monday at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born April 17, 1957 in Lima, to Bob Tye and Gracie Irene (Warren) Hall. Survivors include a brother, Roger (JoAnne) Hall of Lima; a nephew, Jonathan (Dawn) Hall of Delphos; and a great-nephew, Timothy Hall. Mr. Hall worked at Marimor Workshops in Lima and participated in Special Olympics for many years. Funeral services will be 11 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, the Revs. Terry Brock and Ellis Puckett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Patricia E. Dobson

Patricia E. Dobson, 73, of Lima, died 4:45 p.m. Saturday at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Roy and Esther (Christianson) Johnson. Survivors include a son, Jarrod Dobson of Lima; a brother, Lyle (Sharon) Johnson of Minn.; four sisters, Rosella Bratz, Gladys Gruette and Helen Headly of Lima and Alice Bender of Minn.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Johnson; and a brother, Lawrence Johnson. Ms. Dobson had worked for Minneapolis Lunds, Inc., Minneapolis. There is no visitation. The body will be cremated and there will be a private family service.

Elsie G. Baumgardner

Elsie G. Baumgardner, 87, of Lima, died 2:55 p.m. Sunday at St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born May 14, 1915 in Lima, to Michael and Susanna (Pfaff) Werner. She married Merle E. Baumgardner, who died April 8, 1982. Survivors include a son, Ronald R. (Rosie) Baumgardner of Warsaw, Ind.; three sisters, Mary Hall of Alabama, Helen Winters of New Jersey and Edna Werner of Lima; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, David Baumgardner; a brother, Michael Werner; and two sisters, Elizabeth Werner and Doris Cheney. Mrs. Baumgardner was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lima. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pastor Michael Phillips officiating. William Yochum
June 20, 1931 - Feb. 16, 2003
William Yochum, 71, of Euclid, formerly of Wickliffe, died Sunday at his residence. He was born June 20,1931 in Landeck, to Albert and Lula (Musser) Yochum. His mother survives. He was married to Jeanine Imber, who preceded him in death. Survivors include three sons, Stephen (Kim) Yochum, John (Anita) Yochum, and Michael (Dawn) Yochum; four daughters, Christine (Donald) Smola, Susan Taylor Hach, Laura (William) Gullo, and Daniel Yochum; a sister, Mary Shaner; two brothers, Ron and Nick Yochum; an aunt, Lee Recker; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Joherl. Mr. Yochum retired from Bird Electronics in 1996 after 31 years of service. He was also a Eucharistic minister and member at St. Felicitas, Euclid, delivering communion to senior citizens and little sisters of the poor. He was a member of the St. Joseph Christian Life Center, Legion of Mary, Open Door Family Home and was a board member of the Henn Mansion and helped with the jail ministry. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Felicitas Church, the Rev. Richard J. Bober officiating. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery, Mentor. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Brickman and Sons Funeral Home, 21900 Euclid Ave., Euclid.
