Margaret Caldwell
Margaret Fillmore Caldwell, 87, of Middletown, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at the Mt. Pleasant Village.
She was born April 19, 1912, in Hamilton, the daughter of Robert Fillmore and Anna (Steiger) Fillmore.
Mrs. Caldwell attended Miami University and was a 1935 graduate of the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for the Middletown Regional Hospital and as a school nurse for Middletown City Schools.
She was an avid bowler and golfer. She was active in Meals on Wheels and a school volunteer nurse. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the second woman on the Board of Trustees, member of the choir, active with United Methodist women and in PROMISES, with which she made three Christian mission trips to Japan.
She was also board secretary for the Red Cross in Middletown. Margaret will best be remembered for her loving heart to serve others, the church and Jesus.
Mrs. Caldwell is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (husband Roger) Shafer of Alexandria, Va.; two sons, Robert R. Caldwell of Middletown, David F. (wife Susan) Caldwell of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Scott (wife Donna) Shafer, Sara (husband Bob) Ruiz, Kathleen (husband Ted) Wilson, Jeff Caldwell, David F. Caldwell II, Jason (wife Amy) Caldwell, and Brian (wife Brandi) Caldwell; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Reynolds Caldwell in 1984; a brother, Robert Fillmore; and her parents.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church with grandson Jeff Caldwell officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.

Florence Cargill
Mrs. Florence Cargill, 79, of Middletown, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on June 27, 1920, to the late Bob and Lutilla King. Mrs. Cargill was a very active member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of various organizations of the church.
She leaves to cherish her memory, sons Billy Leroy Childs and Findley Cargill Jr., both of Middletown, and Russell G. Evans of Dayton, Ohio; daughters, Linda S. (Thomas) Lawson and Dorice J. Amos, both of Middletown, Kwanza Naeem of Altadena, Calif., and Senoria O. Henderson of Atlanta, Ga.; 29 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Louise Nixon of Hamilton, Ohio, and Mary Ann Davis of Middletown; brothers Charles King of Dayton, Ohio, and Robert King of Springfield, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are at 1 p.m. today, Feb. 2, at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Yankee Road, with the Rev. Leon Wilkinson officiating and Rev. Senoria O. Henderson, eulogist. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation is from noon until time of service

Beverly J. Chicarelli
FRANKLIN - Mrs. Beverly Jean (Brodie) Chicarelli, 73, of 69 Wyndemere Drive, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg after an extended illness. She was born on Jan. 12, 1927, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to the late William and Dorothy (Conner) Brodie. She was a 1945 graduate of Niles High School and married John Chicarelli on Oct. 14, 1948. She moved to Miami Township in 1987 after having previously lived in Girard and Cleveland, Ohio. Mrs. Chicarelli was a retired sales clerk. She had worked at the May Company in Cleveland and at Elder-Beerman in Dayton, Ohio. She belonged to the Presbyterian faith. She enjoyed music and sang in the messiah choir for several churches during the holidays.
Survivors include her husband, John; a son, David Chicarelli of Springboro; two daughters and their husbands, Diane and Kenny Kochevar of Mentor, Ohio, and Patricia and Soren Clausen of Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, William and Patrick Brodie, both of New York; a sister, Sandy Haynes of Eagle River, Alaska; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Steve Brodie; and a sister, Patricia Cassidy.

Mary A. Clemans
Mrs. Mary Ann Clemans, 58, of Dayton, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Franciscan Medical Center.
Mary Ann was a member of Grace Gospel Baptist Church in Carlisle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary Downey.
She is survived by her husband, James Lee Clemans; a daughter, Cathy Goldburg, and husband, Rick, of Fairborn; a son, Craig Szeman, and wife, Cindy, of Florida; brothers Curtis Downey, and wife, Sheila, and Harold Downey, and wife, Faye, all of Middletown; and numerous grandchildren and other relatives.

Mollie V. DeLeon
Mrs. Mollie V. DeLeon, 82, of Middletown, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born in Dain, W.Va., on June 15, 1917, to Walter and Docy Dobbs, and had lived here for six years. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Hollandsworth; her husband, Jerrold DeLeon; her parents; a daughter, Ruth Statzer; and a brother, Edgar Dobbs.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Miller, and her husband, Paul, of Middletown; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Dobbs of Hamilton.

Victoria Doty
FRANKLIN - Mrs. Victoria Doty, 89, formerly of 56 Skokiaan Drive, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at the Autumn Wood Care Center in Tiffin, Ohio. She was born in Estill County, Ky., on June 13, 1910, the daughter of Crate and Dovie (Hisle) Robinson. Mrs. Doty was a member of the Franklin United Church of Christ since 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron in 1988.
Surviving are a son, Aaron E. Doty of Tiffin, Ohio; a daughter, Judith A. Banks of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Jennifer L. Ellis
Jennifer Lynn Ellis, 37, formerly of Xenia, Ohio, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, in California, where she had resided for the past 15 years. She was born in Xenia on May 15, 1962, the daughter of Russell and Irene (Mato) Ellis. Preceding her in death was a brother, Jeffery Ellis in 1991.
Surviving are her parents, Russell Ellis of Germantown and Irene Mato Ellis of California; a brother, Lance Ellis of South Carolina; a sister, Meloni Ruiz of California; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Eaton-Anderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph Bruening officiating. Interment will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
Helen Farmer
Helen (Taylor) Farmer, 73, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000. She was born on Feb. 11, 1927, in Trenton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zack and Virgie Taylor; three brothers, Zack Taylor Jr., and Edward and Robert Taylor; a sister, Anna Mae Vance; and a granddaughter, Heidi Miller.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Harper of Tampa, Fla.; four sons, Robert Harper Jr. and Robert Miller, both of Trenton, Ernie Harper of Lebanon and George Harper of Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Jo Harper; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be sadly missed by a sister, Emma Jean Doughery (Web) of West Alexandria; two brothers, Randell Gary Taylor, and his wife, Annetta, of Somerville, and Linden Taylor, and wife, Louise, of Trenton, Ohio.

Genevieve Flickinger
TRENTON - Genevieve S. Flickinger, 88, a lifelong resident of Trenton, died at Garden Manor Nursing Home at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000.
She was born in Harrison, Ohio, on Nov. 29, 1911, the daughter of Albert and Jessie (Woods) Schwing. She was a graduate of Okeana High School in 1929 and received a teacher's degree from Miami University. She married Robert Samuel Flickinger on April 11, 1936, in New Haven, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1997. They were married for 61 years.
She taught in the Trenton schools for several years. She was a very active member of Mount Olivet United Presbyterian Church and a former Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Farm Bureau.
She is survived by a son, Richard Flickinger, and his wife, Marie, of Springfield, Ohio; a brother, Robert Schwing, and his wife, Bernice, of Harrison, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Wintersteen and Ruth Schwing; and a brother, Albert Schwing.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mount Olivet United Presbyterian Church, 509 W. State Street, Trenton, Ohio, with Dr. John T. Cheetham officiating. Burial will be at Miltonville Cemetery.

Martha A. Getz
Mrs. Martha Aileen Getz, 65, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in the emergency room at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born on May 4, 1934, in Beattyville, Ky., and had lived in Middletown since 1967. She was employed at several local restaurants, including the Manchester Inn, Frisch's, and Stacy's. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Getz was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Miami Valley Post 3809 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as president in 1992-1993. She was a volunteer and neighborhood chairwoman for the Neighborhood Watch Program organized by the Middletown Division of Police. She was also a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Local 1099.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Margaret Mae (Shackelford) Gilbert; a son, John H. Getz; and a sister, Janet Dunn.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Roscoe H. Getz; three sons, Jim Getz, Jerry L. Getz and Larry Getz, and his wife, Ronica, all of Middletown; two daughters, Nadine Begley, and her husband, Gary, of Franklin, and Robin E. Conley of Middletown; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Gilbert of Wilmington; and two sisters, Thelma Gonser of Litchfield, Ky., and Ruth Ann Deisch of Atlanta, Ga.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown, with services by the VFW Ladies Auxiliary at 7 p.m.

Harold W. Gorsuch
FRANKLIN-Harold W. Gorsuch, 90, formerly of 121 E. Second St., died Sunday at 8:45 a.m. at Franklin Ridge Nursing Home. He was a native of Lebanon, Ohio, and the son of Charles and Sallie B. (Hillian) Gorsuch. He also lived in Springboro for many years as well as in Franklin. He was a retired bus operator and drove a bus for 47 years. Harold also worked at the Eaton-Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin for more than 20 years. He was a member of the Springboro Methodist Church. He was an avid circus enthusiast and formerly drove a six-horse hitch of draft horses for the Early & Daniel Feed Company.
Harold is survived by his wife of 69 years, Wilma (Lawson) whom he met when they were 13 years old and were schoolmates in Springboro. Also surviving are his children, Carl of Franklin, Robert of Waynesville, Howard of Centerville, Charles of Powell, Wyo., and Edith George of Columbus; a brother, Lester of Lebanon, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Ruth E. Hayes
Mrs. Ruth Eggleston Hayes, 91, a resident of Garden Manor Retirement Community, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 26, 2000. She was born in Menifee County, Ky., on March 15, 1908, the daughter of William and Josephine (Poplin) Eggleston. She had worked as a librarian in both Newark and Greenville before her marriage. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Mildred and Max Sommers, Jim Phillabaum, Donna Eisele, Geraldine Scott and Pat Cornelius; and cousins, including Tim Chalfin.
Her husband, Charles M. Hayes, preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1999.

Louise Herd
Mrs. Louise (Thomas) Herd, 79, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
She was born in Middletown on Feb. 25, 1920, to John and Clara Elizabeth Thomas. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Middletown. Mrs. Herd was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a volunteer at Middletown Regional Hospital and a caregiver for many. She had received her Girl Scout 55-year pin in 1998. She was also a former member of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ernest Herd, in 1997; her parents; and two brothers, Carl Thomas and Earl Thomas.
She leaves a son, Michael Frank Herd, and his wife, Andrea, of Middletown; three grandchildren, Shawn Herd and wife Jaclyn, and Destiny Herd and Christian Herd, all of Middletown; five great-grandchildren, Sommer, Cheyenne, Alexandria, Ty and Saige; and a niece, Carol Herlihy.

Viola Herndon
Mrs. Viola Herndon, 88, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Maria Joseph Living Care Center in Dayton, Ohio. She was born on May 11, 1911, in Elberton, Ga., to the late John and Gertrude Herndon. She was a resident of Middletown for 60 years. Viola and her family moved to Morganton, N.C., when she was very young. She united in faith with a Methodist church in Morganton at an early age. Viola eventually moved to Middletown, Ohio. She united with Bethel A.M.E. Church where she was a member of the Stewardess Board No. 2 in which she served faithfully until ill health prevented her from participating.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Herndon was also preceded in death by two sons, Theodore in 1998 and Robert in 1999; three sisters; and two brothers.
She leaves to mourn her passing, four children, Betty J. Dunlap of Englewood, Ohio, Velma Herndon of Dayton, Joyce (Sylvester) Byrd of Middletown and Charles (Patricia) Herndon of Middletown; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Shirley and Patricia; a son-in-law, Sylvester; two nephews; a special adopted family, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Taylor and children; and a host of relatives and friends.

O.J. Hileman
O.J. Hileman, 90, of 2608 Grand Ave., died at his residence Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000.
He was the owner of Hileman Oil Company. He was a Master Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a Life Member of the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cleta Hileman of St. Louis, Mo., three grandchildren, Gail Kuntz and Elizabeth Rushing, both of St. Louis, Mo., and Dr. Harold J. Hileman Jr., of Indianapolis, Ind. His son, Harold, preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 2000.

Bradley Hollon
Bradley Hollon, 44, of Middletown, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in Preble County, Ohio. He was a Middletown native and lifelong resident and was born here on April 1, 1955. Mr. Hollon was an Army veteran and a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was also an avid bowler.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hargis Lee Hollon in 1990; his mother, Elizabeth Hollon in January, 2000; and two brothers, Merida Hollon in September, 1999, and John W. Hollon in 1950.
Surviving are three sisters, Carol Sallustio of Ocala, Fla., Penny Smith of Conyers, Ga., and Connie Whitt of Middletown; a brother, Homer L. Hollon of Middletown; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Flossie S. Honchul
Mrs. Flossie Sarah Honchul, 75, of Middletown, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Bethesda of Warren County. She was born in Morgan County, Ala., on May 30, 1924, and had lived here since 1958. Mrs. Honchul was a homemaker and a past member of the Grand Avenue Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Beulah Estal Walls; three brothers; and three sisters, one of whom was her identical twin.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, John D. Honchul; a daughter and her husband, Patricia J. and Richard Pate of Middletown; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Faye Walls of Hartzel, Ala.

Reece D. Hunter Jr.
Reece Doc Hunter Jr. was born on July 6, 1923, in New Miami, Ohio, to Reece Doc Sr. and Emma (Hollis) Hunter.
At the age of 5, he moved to Middletown with his mother and two sisters. He departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Hospice of Dayton after a prolonged illness. He was 76.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; two sisters, Ethel Pearl Hunter-Tate and Annie Elizabeth Hunter-Frost; a son, Timothy Hunter; and a daughter, Elizabeth Hunter.
He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, Reece Doc Hunter III of Houston, Texas, and Terry Hunter and Brent Reid of Zanesville, Ohio; three daughters, Claudette Hinton and Marva Gaston of Middletown, and Belinda Reid of Zanesville; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a nephew, Robert Frost Jr. of Dayton, Ohio; a niece, Barbara Ann Kelly (Samuel) of Cincinnati; an adopted niece, Bobby Chapman of Dayton; a very special friend, Katie Merchant of Dayton; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jenny Imlay
CARLISLE- Jenny Imlay, 54, of Carlisle, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000. She was a native of Hazard, Ky., and was born on July 7, 1945, to the late Herman J. and Mary E. (Cope) Carder. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Carder.
Mrs. Imlay is survived by four daughters, Jeanna (George) Back of Detroit, Mich., Tammy Creekbaum and Carrie Perdue, both of Middletown, Ohio, and Melissa Leichty of West Carrollton; two sons, Jeffery (Frankie) Copenhaver of Middletown and Jesse Philabaum of Brookville, Ohio; a special granddaughter, Cassandra Copenhaver of Hunter, Ohio, and 13 other grandchildren; her sister, Mary Jane Golden of Middletown; seven brothers, Robert, David, Jack, Billy, Gary, James, and Mark Carder, all of Middletown; a special niece, Leisa Banks of Middletown; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Margaret Keever
Margaret Keever, 94, formally of Clark Street, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, at Garden Manor Extended Care.
Mrs. Keever worked for 12 years as a sales person at Links Childrens Shop. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Church and a member of the St. John's Ladies Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie (Long) and Martin L. Bauer; her husband, Earl Keever in 1949; her son, John Keever; two brothers Carl and Paul Bauer; sisters, Viola Swisher, Ruth Faylor, and Henrietta Abbott.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Keever of Macon, Ga., Donald Keever of Lancaster, Ca., and Kenneth Keever, of Naples, Fla.; granddaughter, Kathy Holland of Middletown; grandson, James (Miriam) Keever, granddaughter Judy O'Dell and nine other grandchildren, great grandchildren, Marc and Amy Holland, Kenny Keever, Kim, Robyn and Denise and numerous other great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Parish-St. John's Church with burial at Woodside Cemetery.

Avanell McCarty
Mrs. Avanell McCarty, 66, formerly of 6501 Germantown Road, Lot 234, Middletown, passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Barbara Parke Care Center. She was born on Jan. 3, 1932, in Daysboro, Ky., the daughter of Courtney P. and Beaulh Mae (Patrick) Cecil. Mrs. McCarty was a cook for Frisch's Restaurant, retiring in 1996.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest in 1991; a daughter, Deborah Murphy in 1996; and two brothers, Lucian and Glen Cecil.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Sue Chaney of Springfield, Ohio, and Linda G. Cundiff and Sharon K. Smith, both of Middletown; a brother, Joe P. Cecil of Morgan County, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eaton-Anderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.

Norma M. Michael
WEST ALEXANDRIA - Mrs. Norma M. Michael, 92, of Enterprise Road, died Monday, Jan 31, 2000, at Otterbein-Lebanon Retirement Community in Lebanon, Ohio.
She was born in Preble County, Ohio, on Jan. 7, 1908, to Harry and Clara (Loy) Darragh. Mrs. Michael was a housewife and a member of the Rachael Rebekah Lodge in Eaton and the first Brethren Church in Gratis, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 1993; her parents; and three sisters, Faye Shaw, Lura Graham and Mildred Coleman.
She is survived by a son, Wallace (Joy) Michael of Middletown, Ohio; two daughters, Barbara Hileman of Gratis and Clara Jo McLemore of Waynesville, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Lindloff-Zimmerman Funeral Home in Gratis, with the Rev. Robert French officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. Rebekah services will be held at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
Arminia M. Mitchell
Mrs. Arminia Mae "Ducky" Mitchell, 73, of Middletown, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
She was born in Warren County, Ohio, on June 1, 1926, and had lived here for 28 years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel; a daughter, Dian Sizemore; and her mother, Doris Surface.
Among her survivors are a son, Samuel William Mitchell of Middletown; two daughters, Delores Whitt of Waynesville, Ohio, and Debbie Mitchell of Middletown; four half-sons, George Green of Boston, Mass., Jonathan Todd and Paul Todd, both of North Carolina, and Joe Boeaudoin of Middletown; a brother, Robert Surface of Miamisburg; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and like an adopted son, Tim Buchanon.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery. Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Carl M. Mitchell
TRENTON - Carl M. Mitchell, 69, of Trenton, Ohio, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Owensboro Mercy Hospital in Owensboro, Ky. He was born on Jan. 17, 1931, in Fall Branch, Tenn., and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Mitchell had worked as a tool and die fabricator at Aeronca Inc. for 34 years before his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the Aeronca union where he had served as secretary and treasurer. He attended the Trenton Nazarene Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol W. (Conrad) Mitchell on Aug. 19, 1991; his father, Lawrence Mitchell; a twin sister, Carlene Mitchell; and a granddaughter, Amy Mitchell.
Survivors include his mother, Cloia Mitchell of Trenton; a daughter, Carla Jean Laubach of Middletown; a son, Carless Mark Mitchell of Hawesville, Ky.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Burns of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cecil J. Wells officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Edna C. Myers
Mrs. Edna C. Myers, 93, of 719 Charles St., Middletown, passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at 4:42 p.m. at Middletown Regional Hospital where she had been a patient for one week.
She was born on June 23, 1906, in Woodstock, Va., and had lived in Middletown since 1928. She had been employed at the Central Store in Middletown. Mrs. Myers was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Woodstock, Va., and was a member of the Prosser Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Middletown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Monroe and Rhoda (Will) Fravel; and her husband, Edward F. Myers in 1991.
She is survived by a son, Dr. James R. Myers.
ARRANGEMENTS: Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at the Massanutten Cemetery in Woodstock, Va.

Reese M. Nickell Sr.
Reese M. Nickell Sr., 86, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community. He was a native of Sudith, Ky., where he was born on Aug. 27, 1913. He lived in the Middletown area since 1918. Mr. Nickell retired from Armco Steel Co. where he had worked for 40 years, most recently as an open hearth crane operator. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was also a member of Free & Accepted Masons Jefferson Lodge, Royal Arch Masonic Lodge 87, and Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; a brother, Roy Nickell; and his parents, Floyd and Eva Nickell.
He is survived by a son, Reese Nickell Jr. "Skeeter" of Middletown; two daughters, Janet Farquer, and her husband, Don, of Middletown, and Ginny Ingram, and husband, John, of West Alexandria, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Harold Nickell, and wife, Helen, of Middletown; and a sister, Myrtle Rowland of Hunter.

Samuel Noble Jr.
Samuel Noble Jr., 72, of 4910 Fisher Road, Franklin, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
Mr. Noble was born in Clay Hole, Ky., the son of Sam and Maggie (Fugate) Noble. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity in Kentucky and was employed for 38 years as an electrician for IBEW Local 82 in Dayton, retiring in 1983.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son David Noble in 1991, two sisters, Alta Craft and Ruth Shaffer.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years Dorothy (Watts) Noble; three sons, Michael Noble and wife Marsha, of Franklin, Steve Noble and wife Mallie of Hyden, Ky., Johnny Noble of Oklahoma City, Ok.; four grandchildren Alissa Gayhart and husband Gerrett, Ashley, Keith, and Matt Noble; a great grandchild Carley Noble; five brothers, Arlie Noble, and wife Irene of Beattyville, Ky., Ora Noble and wife Jean of Jackson, Ky., Fred Noble and wife Marie of Detroit, Mi., Raymond Noble of Orlando, Fla., and Lloyd Noble of Winchester, Ky.

Evelyn R. Norris
FRANKLIN - Mrs. Evelyn R. Norris, 89, formerly of 3 Highland Ave., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at Manor Care of Sycamore.
She was born on Oct. 29, 1910, in Columbus, Ind., and was employed by Kinney's Restaurant as a cook for 15 years.
Mrs. Norris was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Orville.
Surviving are her sons, Bennie Norris of Carlisle and James L. Norris of Modesto, Calif.; a daughter, Anna K. Dye of Middletown; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
