Ishmael Chapman
Ishmael Chapmen, 60, of Middletown, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at his residence.
A native of Breathitt County, Ky., he was born on Oct. 24, 1940, and had lived here for 48 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Chapman retired from Armco/AK Steel Co. in 2000 from his job in central lube maintenance after 29 years of service. He was a member of High Point Masonic Lodge 773 Free & Accepted Masons of Monroe, and belonged to the Towne Boulevard Church of God.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Chalmer Chapman.
Surviving are his wife of 36 1/2 years, Rebecca; two sons, Kenneth R. (Dana L.) Chapman of Monroe and Troy S. (Lynda) Chapman of Middletown; a daughter, Kimberly D. Chapman of Middletown; his parents, Raymond and Nora Chapman; three grandchildren, Rachel H. Chapman and Lauren D. Chapman, both of Monroe and Connor C. Chapman of Franklin; and a brother, Dale Chapman of Daytona, Fla.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Jackson officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Marilyn E. Cole
Mrs. Marilyn E. Cole, 77, of Middletown, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Willow Knoll Retirement Community in Middletown.
She was born on September 2, 1923, in Middletown, the daughter of the late Carlton and Marguerite (Welsh) Eldridge. Mrs. Cole was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she was active with the FISH Food Pantry. She was also a member of the Middletown Current Events Club, Friends in Action and the Wildwood Golf Club.
Survivors include a son, Michael E. (Marty) Cole of Middletown; daughters, Linda E. (Kevin) See and Jennifer C. (James) Sliger, both of Middletown; and grandchildren, Kristin and Katie Cole, David, Scott and Jeff See, and Meagan, Stefanie, Matthew and Philip Sliger.
Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, in 1986; and her parents.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Ave., with the Rev. Robert J. Weingartner officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown. There will be no visitation.

Garnett Deer
Mrs. Garnett Deer, 67, of Tecumseh, Mich., died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Herrick Memorial Hospital in Tecumseh.
She was born in Elliottville, Ky., on Aug. 10, 1933, and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Deer was preceded in death by her husband, William Deer Jr. in 1989; a son, David Deer in 1979; sisters Janice Brown in 1952, Kay Mc Naughton in 1944, and Betty Martin in 1997; and two brothers, Kenny and Loyd Brown in 1999.
She is survived by her sons Loyd Deer (Sue) of Tecumseh and Neil Deer of Trenton, Ohio; daughters Eva Jones (Lester) of Tecumseh and Rhonda Manegold (Michael) of Monroe, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; sisters Delores Wilson (Jim) of Middletown, Mary Wauer of Eaton, June Harding (Jack) of Westland, Mich., and Shelia Barrett of Ypsilanti, Mich.

Warren E. Delver
Warren E. Delver, beloved husband of Shirley Delver, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, Neal and Virginia Delver, and by his brother, Neal.
He was born in Middletown on Sept. 25, 1931.
Warren leaves three children, James, and his wife, Jackie Delver, Vicki Hickman, and her husband, Todd, and Thomas Brian Sorrell; nine grandchildren, Erica, Joshua, Olivia and Dakota Delver, Ashley Hickman, and Jordon, Glen, Corey and Nicholas Sorrell. Also surviving are two sisters, Jeane Cox and Patty Carter; and a brother, Bill Delver.
Mr. Delver is retired from the U.S. Army, having served 20 years on active duty, principally in the National Security Division. Following retirement, he worked for 11 years at the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church in Fairfield, Ohio, and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3809 in Middletown.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with the Revs. Mike Callihan and Mark Garrett officiating. Larry Dean Durban, 42, of Cincinnati, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, in Good Samaritan Hospital at 3:05 a.m.
He was born on Dec. 25, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Austin and Ruth (Bailey) Durbin.

Sharon Eckhart
Memorial services were held recently in Colorado Springs, Colo., for former Carlisle resident Kent H. Eckhart, 72, and his wife, Sharon, 59, who passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at their home in Colorado.
Kent was born and raised in the Carlisle area, served in the U.S. Air Force for 28 years and was retired.
Sharon and her family were from the Boise, Idaho, and Colorado Springs areas.
They are survived by eight children and stepchildren and 13 grandchildren. Kent is survived by two brothers, David Eckhart of Carlisle and John (Judy) Eckhart of Beavercreek; and a sister, Florence Repper (Jack) of Carlisle.
Kent was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey; and his parents, Clarence and Annabel Eckhart.

Betty L. Fouts
Mrs. Betty L. (Augspurger) Fouts, 89, of Oakwood, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001.
She was a graduate of Middletown High School and Miami University in Oxford. Betty was an elementary school teacher at Maple Park Elementary School in Middletown.
She was an active and supportive member of PEO - Chapter Z, The College Women's Club, Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association, Opera Guild, Dayton Women's Club, TTT, Acacia Club, Dayton County Club, Fairmont Presbyterian Church, Oakwood Historical Society, Engineers Club, Garden Club, Wright State University and the Dayton Art Institute.
She was preceded in death in 1980 by her husband, Arthur J. Fouts.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Shanklin (John) of Florida; four nephews, Stephen Oakley (Anne) of Colorado, Keith Oakley (Colleen) of Florida, John Humston of Texas and Jim Kelly of Middletown; three nieces, Lynn Marx (Randy) of Virginia, Gayle Baker (Bob) of Texas and Susan Mayberry (George) of Middletown; a cousin, Oleda Teckemeyer of Oxford; several great-nieces and great-nehews; and close friend, George Stillwagon.

Melba Hanks
GRATIS -- Mrs. Melba Hanks, 70, of Gratis, Ohio, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
She was born on Aug. 4, 1930, to Alfred D. and Sarah (Davidson) Brown. She received a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Austin Peay State College. She taught school in the Preble Shawnee School District for 30 years before retiring in 1986.
Mrs. Hanks was an avid volunteer. Her activities included: charter member and volunteer at the Preble County Historical Society; board member and volunteer at the Preble County Unit of the American Cancer Society; 1999-2000 Ohio READS tutor in Hamilton; lifetime member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association; and a lifetime member of the Preble Shawnee Retired Teachers Association.
She was also a member of the Gratis Homemakers Club, Gratis Mothers Club and Gratis Berema Club.
In 1997, Mrs. Hanks was named Preble County's Outstanding Senior Citizen. She was a member of the Gratis First Brethren Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Burl Hanks Jr.; one son, Tim (Kim) of Hamilton, Ohio; a daughter, Lydia Gray of Camden; four grandchildren, Corey Gray, and Lindsey, Derek and Jared Hanks; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alfred D. Brown Jr.

John D. Honchul
John Dean Honchul 76, of Carlisle, Ohio, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Carlisle Manor Health Care Inc.
John was born on Dec. 23, 1924, in Fixer, Ky., and lived in this area since 1958. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Honchul was a farmer and worked with Cox Enterprise for 20 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Middletown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Flossie S. Honchul on Jan. 25, 2000; his parents, James and Lonna Honchul; a brother, Russell Honchul; and four sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Pate (Richard) of Middletown; three grandchildren, Robin Wilson, Wesley Pate (Tracey) and Tracy Roark (Jimmy); five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Georgie Walker of Germantown, Ohio.

Donald E. Jackson
GERMANTOWN -- Donald Eugene Jackson, 69, of Germantown, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Hospice of Dayton after a short illness.
Mr. Jackson was a Miamisburg/ Germantown resident for 43 years. He was a former employee of NCR and then became a farmer.
He was a member of the Christian Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church of Germantown and Miamisburg and Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) since 1981.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Cathy Jackson of Carrollton, Texas, and Steve Jackson of Richmond, Ind.; two brothers, Dave Jackson of Thorn Hill, Tenn., and Ronald Jackson of Franklin, Ohio; two sisters, Cleo Chapman of Franklin and Viola Coffey of Bean Station, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

Orville Lansaw
Orville Lansaw, 78, of Middletown, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
He was born in Middletown, Ohio, on Sept. 9, 1922, the son of the late William Bruce and Kitsia (Maloney) Lansaw. Mr. Lansaw served his country in the Marines during World War II. He was retired from Delco Moraine, where he had been employed as a machinist/welder.
Survivors include his wife, Anne K. Lansaw of Middletown; a son, Mark (Teresa) Lansaw of Lebanon; three brothers, Jennings (Jenny) Lansaw of Middletown, Paul (Lois) Lansaw of West Middletown and David (Mary) Lansaw of Monroe; a sister, Margie Lansaw of Monroe; and a grandchild, Chance Hay.

Mark Lindsay, 49, of Middletown, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Miami Valley Hospital.
Mr. Lindsay was born June 29, 1951, in Middletown, Ohio, to Gordon and Anne (McKinney) Lindsay. He worked for the Magnode Corp. for 10 years before retiring in 1980. He was the son of a Legionnaire and played on the Piping of Ohio Softball team in Middletown.
Mr. Lindsay is survived by his wife, Shirley Lindsay of Middletown; father, Gordon R. (Sylvia) Lindsay of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three brothers, Gordon R. Lindsay III of Middletown, Tim (Cindy) Lindsay of Monroe and Dean (Pam) Lindsay of Middletown; and two sisters, Daphne (Greg) Eldridge and Phoebe Lindsay, both of Middletown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anne Lindsay.

Daisy Logsdon
Daisy H. Logsdon, 89, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 at her residence.
She was born in Saxton, Ky., on Nov. 18, 1911, the daughter of John and Maggie (Petrey) Helton. She was a member of the Saxton Baptist Church in Saxton, Ky., and was employed for 30 years by the Maxwell Paper and St. Regis Paper Co. until her retirement in 1971.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Claude Logsdon in 1968, brothers Theodore "Ted" Helton and William B. Helton, sisters Flora Balon, Goldia Smith, Cleda Miller and Nannie Helton.
Surviving are a sister Georgia Depew of Franklin; nieces Sue Harris, Melinda Smith, Aleda Davis and Flora Ann Helton; nephews Hiram Depew, Steve Helton, Robert Smith and Tedd Helton.

Joan E. Longman
Mrs. Joan E. Longman, 66, of Middletown, passed away from a terminal illness at 1:52 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She had been a patient there since April 26, 2000.
She was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Middletown, Ohio, and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Longman was the former president and co-founder of PAWS. She was the owner and operator of Tropical Tan from 1983 to 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram and Almira (Liberth) Malott; her husband, Herbert Longman in 1996; and an infant brother, Charles Malott.
Mrs. Longman is survived by a son, Steve Whisman, and his wife, Cindy, of Middletown; two daughters, Kimberly Young and Jim Blevins of Franklin and Susan Cox and husband, Walter, of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Jason Taylor, Julie Whisman, Matthew and Sara Young, Amanda and Ashley Baker and Courtney Cox; a great-grandchild, Mackenzie Taylor; and two sisters, Mary Lou Gividen of Michigan and Janet Darrell of Middletown; and several nieces and nephews.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all her family and those who knew her.

Mabel McGraw
Mabel (Richey) McGraw, 83, of Middletown, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at McKnight Terrace, Middletown, Ohio.
Mrs. McGraw was born on Oct. 3, 1917, in Blue Ball, Ohio, to James and Lulu (Sipe) Richey. She worked for General Motors for 34 years, retiring from the Delco division.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Mrs. McGraw is survived by her daughter, Paulette (Jack) Elam of Monroe; her son, Harold Richey (Peggy) McGraw of Monroe; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lelia Craft Taylor; two brothers, Stanley and James Ricney; a sister, Thelma Coffey; and Paul "Scotty" McGraw.

Charles M. McGuire
Charles Michael McGuire, 51, of Middletown, passed away Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
He retired from Oglebee Trucking Co. He was born Feb. 7, 1949, in Franklin, Ohio. He was the last of 13 children born to the late Monnie and Green McGuire.
He is survived by three daughters, Darla K. Jackson of West Port, Ind., Christine M. Hines of North Vernon, Ind., and April D. Burton of Scipio, Ind.; one son, Charles Michael McGuire of North Vernon, Ind.; four grandsons and seven granddaughters. He also leaves behind sisters, Helen (Jim) Fletcher of DuPont, Ind., Magdalene (Thank) Robinson, Janice (Dean) Turner and Shirley Willis, all of Franklin, and Ella Rose (Gary) Johnson of Miamisburg; seven brothers, H. Ray (Anna B.), James (Cassie) and Robert (Patricia), all of Franklin, A. Clyde (Francis) of North Vernon, Ind., Jackie (Janice) of Madison, Ind., Forrest R. and Russell V. of Holton, Ind.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Matilda E. Mullenix
FRANKLIN -- Mrs. Matilda Emelie Mullenix, 82, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Kettering Hospital.
She was born on April 26, 1918, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Eleanora (Dickinson) Stegemoller.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two great-grandchildren; four sisters and six brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl; her son, Ronnie, and his wife, Patricia Mullenix, of Hillsboro; three daughters, Mildred, and husband, Mike Barker, of Franklin, Carlene, and husband, Michael Campbell, of Middletown, and Ellen, and husband, Carles Downey of Middletown; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Essie Lou Nichols
With love and warm memories, Mrs. Essie Lou Nichols, 81, passed away Friday, Jan. 19, 2001 at Middletown Regional Hospital.
She was a native of Athens, Ga., but resided in Middletown for many years. She retired as a licensed practical nurse from V.A. Medical Center of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph and Myrtis Craft.
She leaves to cherish her memory four loving daughters, Mary Louise Smith, Lois Jean Griffin, Marquita Nichols and Joanne Nichols; a devoted sister Ruth Donineck of Middletown; grandchildren Dennis Smith, Timothy Smith, Keith Smith, Margaret Smith, Clifton Snow and Aaron N. Nichols; 13 great-grandchildren; cousins Annie South, Florence Cunningham and Flossie Hall; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Stella Paul
Stella Paul, 86, of Monroe, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
She was employed as a secretary by the Middletown School District for 41 years. Stella was a member of the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Monroe.
She is survived by a sister, Frances Paul.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, David Paul and the Rev. John Paul.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, with Father John Kroeger as celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery in Monroe.

Lula B. Powers
FRANKLIN -- Lula B. Powers, 83, of Franklin, died Sunday morning, Jan. 21, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Powers had formerly worked as a sales lady for Gidding Jenny.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Susan Marie Powers of St. Louis, Mo.; three granddaughters, Sarah Powers of St. Louis, Ann Smith of Baltimore, Md., and Jennifer Tylander of Arlington, Va.; and a sister, Lucille of Jacksonville, Fla.
Her husband, Fred, preceded her in death in 1956.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. There was no visitation.

Eugene Rice
Eugene Rice (Brother Jerome, OSB), 75, born in Glouster, Ohio, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine V. Rice, and his father, William John Rice; and a brother, Rev. Father Daniel Rice, S.J.
He is survived by his sister, Rita A. Deery; a brother, John B. Rice; 15 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Eugene was a veteran of World War II and served on the battleship, U.S.S. Washington. He was a teacher, and head football coach at Lemon-Monroe High School in Monroe, Ohio, until he retired in 1980
Eugene entered St. Maur Monastery as a Benedictine Monk in 1984.

Ella Roberts
Mrs. Ella (Berry) Roberts, 90, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Garden Manor Retirement Village.
She was born in Radical, Ky., on April 14, 1910, and had lived in this area since 1927. Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and a member of the Middletown Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. Roberts Sr.
She leaves two daughters, Allene Tubbs of Trenton and Joyce Pence of Dover, Tenn.; a son, Kenneth Craig of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Pam Miller, Ron Tubbs, Scott Craig, Erin Craig, Ray Craig, Christy Brooks and Pam Grizzard; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, with Minister David Banks officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mark C. Robinson
SPRINGBORO -- Mark C. Robinson, 37, of Springboro, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Robinson was employed as a supervisor for Deuer Manufacturing for 13 years and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by a son, Chad, and a daughter, Casey, both of Franklin; his parents, Dewey and Anna Fay (Tussey) Gross; his fianc?Sheila Purvis, and her two sons, Chucky and Matt Purvis, all of Franklin; two brothers, Jeff Robinson, and his wife, Kim, of Carlisle, and Jerry Robinson, and his wife, Melissa, of Franklin; three sisters, Debbie Mink, and husband, Merle, of Carlisle, Terrie Sorrell, and husband, Kent, of Springboro, and Missy Adkins, and husband, Joe, of Middletown; nephews, Chris, Travis, Joseph, Timothy, Brandon, Jesse, Andrew and Ron; nieces, Amy, Heather, Brandi, Holly, Lacey and Anna; uncles, Gennis, Homer, Frank, Mitchell and Jack Tussey; an aunt, Shirley Ward; special friend, Terry Gilbert, and many others.
He was preceded in death by a special uncle, Richmond Tussey.

Sheila Roney
Mrs. Sheila Roney, 41, of 4211 Central Ave., died Saturday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born in Liberty, Ky., June 11, 1959, the daughter of Claude and Roxie (McQueary) Daniels and was a homemaker. She was active in scouting with her sons, serving as den leader of Pack 10 for three years.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, James Roney II. She was a loving mother to her two boys, Brandon Roney of Columbus and Jordan Roney at home. She is also survived by her mother, Roxie Strong of Hamilton and by two grandchildren, Hayley and James Roney.

Steven M. Rupp
Steven M. Rupp, 54, of Cincinnati, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Hospice of Cincinnati.
He was born on Aug. 13, 1946, in Middletown, the son of Warren Rupp and Madelyn Lloyd Rupp. Mr. Rupp was a veteran of the Air Force.
He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Hoskins of Cincinnati; a son, Scott Rupp of Cincinnati; a grandson, Matthew Hoskins; three sisters, Sheila Hutton of Alaska, Carol Peyton of Franklin, Pamela Huckabee of South Carolina; his twin brother, David Rupp of Cincinnati; an aunt, Janice Rupp of Hamilton; an uncle, Jack Rupp of Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Barbara Schumacher
Mrs. Barbara M. (Guttenberger) Schumacher, 53, of Monroe, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Middletown Regional Hospital.
She was born in Baltimore, Md., on April 1, 1947, to the late Andrew John and Margaret Mary (Scheller) Guttenberger. Mrs. Schumacher was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Monroe. She worked as a medical secretary for Middletown Laboratory Services for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, William; two sons, Michael and Matthew Schumacher; a daughter, Theresa Schumacher; and a sister, Catherine Gabriel.

Robert Shell Sr.
Robert Lee Shell Sr., 55, of 618 Cleveland St., passed away at Hospice of Dayton at 9:35 p.m. Thursday.
A native of Detroit, Mich., he was born Feb. 9, 1945, the son of Annie and Sam Shell. He was a retired employee of the General Motors Corp., where he worked in the finishing department.
He is survived by sons Robert Shell Jr. and Chad Shell (Michelle), both of Columbus, Anthony Shell of Middletown and Antonio Valenti of Ann Arbor, Mich.; daughter Ucanna Calhoun of Detroit; mother Mrs. Annie Johnson of Middletown; father Sam Shell of LeNoir, N.C.; brothers Michael Shell (Wanda) of Columbus, Elmer Johnson of Middletown and Samuel Shell (Viola) of New York; sisters Betty Mack (Roster) of Dayton, Josephine Shell, Annetta Johnson and Mary Jo Johnson, all of Middletown, Sally Shell of LeNoir, N.C. and Lenitta Pope of Forest Park, Ohio; three grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Beverly Skiba
Former Middletown resident Mrs. Beverly (Vanderpool) Skiba, 53, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at her sister's home in St. Petersburg.
She moved to St. Petersburg in 1965 from her native Middletown, Ohio. She was a teacher's assistant and worked with handicapped children in the Pinellas County School district.
Mrs. Skiba was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, and her parents, James and Ruby Vanderpool.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Arcidiacono of St. Petersburg; a brother, James "Trick" Vanderpool of Franklin, Ohio; and two sisters, Dolores Lewis of Xenia, Ohio, and Norma Woods of St. Petersburg.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services were concluded Friday, Jan. 19, at the Blount, Curry and Roel Funeral Home in St. Petersburg, Fla. Interment was at Memorial Cemetery.
Roger P. Stevens
FRANKLIN -- Roger P. Stevens, 49, of 8531 Kingston Drive, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001, at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1951, in Jackson, Miss. Mr. Stevens was employed as a computer programmer with Computer Horizons for five years. He was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church and choir, and a Boy Scout leader for Troop 139 in Carlisle from 1995 to 1997.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; two sons, Sean and Wayne of Franklin; and his parents, Harold and Jane Stevens of Lebanon.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Franklin, with the Rev. Diann O'Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in New Richmond.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Eaton-Anderson-Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin.
There will also be a visitation on Saturday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church in Mount Pisgah.
