Ardie M. Johnson
TRENTON - Mrs. Ardie Mae Johnson, 77, of Trenton, died Wednesday, April 1, 1998, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on May 6, 1920, and had lived in the Trenton area for 45 years. Mrs. Johnson retired in 1983 from her job as office manager at Wedekind Aircraft where she had worked for 30 years. She was a member of Trenton Church of God. She leaves her husband of 53 years, Williard M. Johnson; two children, Michael Lee Johnson of Oxford and Thelma Sue Waddell of Monroe; six grandchildren, Gregory, Teri, Douglas, David, Beth and Amy; three great-grandchildren, Corey, Kaitlyn and Zachary; and two sisters, Bertie Smallwood of Lawrenceburg, Ky., and Carol Loeffler of Wichita, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Thelma (Cornett) Croucher; a sister, Marjorie Nugent; and two brothers, John Croucher Jr. and James Croucher Sr. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel at Butler County Memorial Park in Trenton. The Revs. Paul Hensley and Steve Cable will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Butler County Memorial Park chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Cincinnati Association for the Blind, 2045 Gilbert Ave., Cincinnati, 45202; or Multiple Sclerosis, 4460 Lake Forest Drive, Suite 236, Cincinnati, 45242. Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marie D. Jones
Marie D. Jones, 86, of Middletown, died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at her residence. She was born April 12, 1912, in Cave City, Ky. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jones, in 1993; a son, Jewell Lee Jones; and a grandson, David Jones. She is survived by a daughter, Freda Booker, and her husband, David E., of Franklin; a son, Buryl Jones, and his wife, Darlene, of Middletown; a sister, Elsie Reed of Caney, Ky.; nine grandchildren, including Vicki Fry and Jimmy Jones, both of Middletown, and D. Scott Booker of Colorado; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, 1500 Manchester Ave. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is at Grace Memorial Gardens.

Anna L. Johnson
Anna Lee (Blair) Johnson, 53, of Middletown, died Thursday, June 11, 1998. She was the beloved wife of Woodrow Johnson Jr.; dear mother of Sandra L. Johnson, of Cincinnati, Dennis D. Johnson, of Tucson, Ariz., and Jennifer L. Ellis, of Middletown; grandmother of James Elliot and Eric Dennis Johnson, both of Tucson, and Ross Michael Johnson, of Cincinnati; daughter of Vada Green, of Morehead, Ky., and the late Ernest Blair; sister of Mary Jane Blair, of Mt. Washington, Ky. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hodapp Funeral Home in West Chester. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

William B. Johnson
William B. Johnson, 85, of Lebanon and formerly of Middletown, died Thursday, July 9, 1998 at the Lebanon Health Care Center. He was born July 11, 1912 in Hillsboro. He worked as a molder at Keuthun Foundry for 21 years before retiring in 1977. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hester A. Johnson, in September of 1973; parents, Albert and Minnie (Morris) Johnson; and sister, Amanda Yelley. He is survived by a son, Joseph W. Johnson, and his wife, Wanda M., of Topeka, Kan.; two daughters, Mary Creach, and her husband, Danny, of Orient, Ohio, and Phyllis A . Cunningham, and her husband, James H., of Morrow; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie May Store and Margene Johnson, both of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Joseph Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. C. Nolan Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.

Norma H. Jones
CENTERVILLE - Norma Helen Jones, 76, of Centerville, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Southview Hospital in Miamisburg. Mrs. Jones was born in Louisville, Ky., Nov. 15, 1921, to Stanley and Nellie Eisenmenger. She volunteered at Southview Hospital's gift shop for more than 10 years. Last spring, she received an award from the hospital for volunteering more than 10,000 hours. Previously she had been head of housekeeping at the hospital for more than 10 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, 115 S. Main St. in Franklin. She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Oda of Franklin Township; her daughter, Barbara; five grandchildren, Michael Sorrell and Matthew Sorrell of West Carrollton, Gina Kuttrus of Aurora, Colo., Don Oda II of Lebanon, and Cindy Norwood of Columbus; eight great-grandchildren, Chris, Michael and Shawna Sorrell, Samantha Jo and Donnie Oda III and Cameron, Dianna and Derrick Norwood; two brothers, Stanley Eisenmenger and Donald Eisenmenger; one sister, Helen Ryan of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Jones, in 1979; and two sisters, Mary Agnes Vittitow and Beatrice Schaefer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Bruening as celebrant. Burial will be at Woodhill Cemetery on Dixie Highway in Franklin. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Eaton-Anderson Funeral Home at 121 E. Second St. in Franklin.

Harold D. Justice
Harold Dwight Justice Sr., 71, of 1911 Wayne Ave., died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at his residence. He was born on May 30, 1927, in Drill, Va., the son of Frank and Carmen (Dyer) Justice. Mr. Justice was a veteran and had served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jon Shannon of Bixby, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Harold Dwight Jr. and Anna Justice of Cleveland, Ohio; two grandchildren, Aaron and Becky Shannon; three sisters, Faye DePhampalis of Longport, N.J., Billie Joyce Butler of Buchanan, W.Va., and Gloria Centers, and her husband, Jim, of Middletown; and a brother, Frank Phillip Justice of Pikeville, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Pauline Prince; and a brother, Adam Justice. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dayton National Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home.

Arch Johnson
Arch Johnson, 67, formerly of Middletown, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, in Florida. A native of Breathitt County, Ky., he had resided in Florida for several years. He was self-employed and a 32nd-degree Mason in West Carrollton. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sola (Spicer) Johnson; a son, Steven Johnson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Charley Johnson of Carlisle and Luther Johnson of Miamisburg; four sisters, Stella Turner and Amy Stams, both of Franklin, Elizabeth of Arizona and Clara of Atlanta; and three grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin, with the Revs. Sam and John Turner officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park in Trenton. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Arlene C. Jolly
Mrs. Arlene C. Jolly, 67, of 516 Shelby St., Sandusky, Ohio, formerly of Middletown, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 4, 1999, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born in Middletown, Ohio, on June 9, 1931. Mrs. Jolly was a retired employee of the former New Departure-Hyatt, retiring in 1983 after 31 years employment. She was a member of Local 913 Retirees Union. Among her survivors are her husband, Clifton Jolly, to whom she was married for 31 years; a daughter, Debra Lieb of Sandusky; a stepdaughter, Diana Michaels of Crestline, Ohio; two sons, Darrell Caskey of Milan, Ohio, and Joseph Jolly of Clyde, Ohio; two stepsons, James Jolly of Bellevue, Ohio, and Ronald Jolly of Sandusky; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Burd of Palm Harbor, Fla., Helen Arnold of Trenton, Millie Woolridge of Middletown and Charlotte McFarland of Kettering; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna (Hesse) Hillenbrand; three brothers, William, Ellsworth and Mervin; and a great-granddaughter.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, Ohio. On Monday, the body will lie in state from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. in the Mount Harvest Temple, 144 Lemon St., Clyde, Ohio. The Rev. James Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park.

Richard Jones
Richard Jones, 57, of 1204 Madison St., died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born on Jan. 13, 1942, in Macon, Ga., to the late Mark and Emma Jones. He was a member of New Era Baptist Church and was employed at Burrows Paper Co. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Janet; a daughter, Tanisha L. Jones of Middletown; a brother, Morris Jordan of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two sisters, Gwendolyn Randolph of East St. Louis, Ill., and Rosie Mae Green of Albany, Ga.; a special aunt, Bedelia Braswell of Chicago, Ill.; his father and mother-in-law, David and Marcia Johnson of Middletown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Era Baptist Church, 1120 Yankee Road, with the Rev. Samuel Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until time of service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are by Hall-Jordan Memorial Chapel.

Marsha F. Jones
Marsha F. Jones, 62, of Middletown, died Friday afternoon, March 12, 1999, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 21, 1936, in Richmond, Ind., the daughter of Ralph Edwin Saxton and Della Frances (Byrd) Saxton. She was employed as an inside sales associate by Sears and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Survivors include three daughters, Vicki L. VanDeBerghe of Camden Point, Mo., Amy L. Sorrell of Middletown and Julia Ann Jones of Middletown; and four grandchildren, Terry and Lori McDaniel and Devan and Bailey Wright.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Leiter officiating. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Wallace G. Jones
Wallace Gordon Jones, 84, of Middletown, passed away Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Wellington Manor. A native of Christian County, Ky., he was born on Aug. 13, 1914, to the late Robert and Mildred Jones. He lived in the Middletown area for 37 years. Mr. Jones had worked as an operating engineer with Local Union 18 in Dayton for 40 years before retiring in 1965. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mary R. Jones; a son, Wallace Glen Jones of Jacksonburg; three daughters, Lanell Rowland of Tennessee, Carol King of Indiana and Deborah Miller of Middletown; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Joseph Baker- Stevens Funeral Home, with Minister Mark Sams officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
