Clea B. Stober, 95, of Ada, died April 18, 2000 at Lost Creek Care Center.
She was born Jan. 8, 1905 to Adam Lewis and Effie Matilda (Dearth) Klingler. On March 31, 1923 she married Gail R. Patton who died on April 2, 1966. In 1972 she married Nate J. Stober who passed away on Dec. 10, 1979.
Survivors include one sister, Elsie Smith of Beaverdam; one step-daughter, Ruth Ferguson of Ada; one step-son, Earl Stober of Holgate,Ohio; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one step-great granddaughter; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons Russell Lewis and Morris Frederick Patton; brothers Ross and Justin Klingler, sisters Lois Wolber, Mildred Montgomery, and Margaret Laughrey.
Mrs. Stober was a homemaker and she was retired from LaSalle's in Findlay where she was a clerk for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Ada, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Ladie's Auxiliary of Veteran's of World War I. She was also a member of The Liberty Grange of Ada for many years.
Services were held April 18, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada with Ron Briggs officiating. Burial was at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Robert L. Krouskop, 71, of Harrod, died April 15, 2000 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 6, 1928 to Harold and Mellie (Thompson) Krouskop of Allen County. On March 22, 1949 he married Sue McGinnis who survives in Harrod.
Other survivors include one son, Donald (Kathi) Krouskop of Lima; two daughters, Connie (Henry) Morscheck of Harrod, and Wanda (Garry) Ricker of Lima; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandsons, two sisters, Margaret (Bill) Worrell and Dorothy (Howard) Jones, both of Bushnell, Florida.
He was preceded in death by brothers Monroe and George Krouskop and sister Grace Krouskop.
Mr. Krouskop was a farmer who raised grain. He was also a retired truck driver and the former owner of the Joliet Store. He was also a former member of the Eagles Lodge #370 of Lima.
Services were held April 18, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada. Burial was a t Salem Cemetery in Westminster, Ohio.

Calvin C. Jordan, 74, of Lima died April 10, 2000 at his residence.
He was born May 4, 1925 to Pearl and Emma (Woods) Jordan of McGuffey.
Survivors include four brothers, Clayton (Thelma) Jordan of Wellston, Ohio, Richard (Marge) Jordan of McGuffey, Lyman (Margie) Jordan of Lima, and Joseph (Peggy) Jordan of McGuffey.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Kathleen Paugh, Martha Miller, Barb Wyomic, Cloie Risner, and Audrey Jordan; four brothers, Chester, Charlie, Wayne and Carl Jordan.
Mr. Jordan was retired from the Tilton Corporation in Lima in 1981, and also from the Ohio Labor Union Local 329. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Ada Post 9381. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in WWII from 1944-1946. He was a 1943 graduate of McGuffey High School.
Services were held April 13, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger with the Pastor Walt Powers officiating. Burial was at Preston Cemetery.

James David Markley, 66, of Lebanon died April 20, 2000.
He was born in London, Ohio on June 14, 1933 to Max and Marjorie (Holt) Markley.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Donna (Hadley) Markley; one son, John (Lisa) Markley of Mason; one daughter, Julie (Tom) Simmons of Ada; four sisters, Virginia Sherwood of Greensboro, N.C., Maxine Miller of London, Ohio, Esther Poston of Kettering, and Marilyn Chamberlin of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Tyler Simmons, Lindsay Simmons, Nicole Markley, Ian Markley and Jason Markley; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Markley retired from General Electric in 1994 after 38 years of service as a draftsman. He attended Bethany United Church of Christ for many years before becoming a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church. He was also active with Boy Scouts and Little League Baseball programs.
Services were held April 22, 2000 at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Stan Smith officiating. Burial was at Miami Cemetery, Corwin.
Memorials are requested to the Hospice of Cincinnati.
Charles Homer Bowers, 79, of Crystal River, Fla., formerly of Ada, died April 6, 2000.
He was born Feb. 5, 1921 in Rockport. He married Carol Fern Anderson, who survives.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Alan Bowers of Escondido, Calif., and John Charles Bowers of Cold Springs, Ky.; one brother, Robert Gene Bowers of Citrus Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Delores Bowers of Indianapolis and Rosemond Oakley of Austin, Texas; and six grandchildren.
While living in Ada, Mr. Bowers was self-employed and had a canned milk route. He was also active in the Ada United Methodist Church.
Services were held April 9, 2000 in Crystal Rivers, Fla.

Forrest B. Montgomery, 68, formerly of Ada, died April 20, 2000 at the Oakland Aspinwall Veteran's Administration Hospital in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania.
He was born August 21, 1931 to Dayrus and Lula (Hale) Montgomery of Floyd County, Kentucky. On May 1, 1954 he married Barbara Hall, who passed away on January 5, 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Forrest Steve (Kathy) Montgomery of Rockford, Illinois, and Roy Keith Montgomery of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Stephanie Montgomery of McGuffey, Jamie Fell of Dublin, and Andy Fell of Columbus; two great-grandchildren, Kameron Bailey of McGuffey and Kylie Montgomery of McGuffey; one brother, Roy (Betty) Montgomery of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; two sisters, Dorcus Music and Thelma (Billie) Pruitt, both of Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Bert, Louis P., William, Bun, Henry and Thomas Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery attended High Street Free Will Baptist Church of Ada. He retired from Ford Motor Company of Lima in 1992 after 35 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Ada Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9381 of Ada, a member of the Honorary COOTIE Association of the VFW. He served in the Korean conflict in the United States Army and was a POW for 28 months. He received two purple hearts, a Silver Star, A Bronze Star, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Prisoner of War Medal. He was also a member of the U.A.W. Local 1219, the Kenton Elks Lodge #157, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Lima, a member of the American Legion Post #185 of Ada, and a member of the Versailles American Legion Post in Versailles, Pennsylvania.
Services were held April 25, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada with the Rev. James Webb officiating. Burial was at Preston Cemetery.

Ruth E. Houser, 86, of Sidney, Ohio died April 23, 2000 at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 4, 1913 to Frank H. and Maude Y. (Youmans) Brown of Belle Center, Ohio. On March 7, 1932 she married Vaughn P. Houser who passed away on Sept. 7, 1984.
Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy E. Houser of Sidney, Susan (William) Alexander of Mission Viejo, California, Sylvia (Anthony) Perrine of Lima, and Virginia "Alice" (Steven) Bogart of Sidney; five grandchildren; five great granddaughters, one brother, Charles Brown of Gulfport, Mississippi; and one sister Dorothy Buckingham of Sacramento, California.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Houser was a mechanical inspector at Triplett Electric Co. in Bluffton, Ohio from 1952 to 1970 when she retired. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ada.
Services were held April 26, 2000 at Cromes Funeral Home in Sidney with the Rev. Ben Davis officiating. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
Norman J. Spitzer, 83, of Ada, died April 24, 2000 at his residence.
He was born May 18, 1916 to Mr. And Mrs. John Spitzer of Ray, Arizona. In 1944 he married Betty L. Lamb who survives in Ada.
Other survivors include one son, John Spitzer II of Indianapolis, Indiana; three grandchildren, Kevin John Spitzer of San Mateo, California., Rachelle LeFur of Homestead, Florida, and Christopher Eric Spitzer of Miami, Florida.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Irwin Spitzer.
Mr. Spitzer was a retired school teacher and coach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving in WWII.

Dr. Marvin Vincent English of Ada, Ohio died Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at his winter home in Naples, Fla. He was born in Syracuse, New York on Aug. 19, 1916 to William J. and Mary Rebecca Ortlip English.
Marvin graduated from Onondaga Valley High School in Syracuse, New York and Cook Academy Preparatory School, Montour Falls, New York. A 1941 graduate of Ohio Northern University, Marvin received a Master's Degree from Columbia University and completed post graduate work at Indiana University. He was bestowed an honorary doctorate by Ohio Northern University in 1996 and also received the ONU Recognition medal.
Dr. English received two battle stars for his service as a U.S. Naval gunnery officer during WWII. An educator for 41 years, Marv was a Professor of Health and Physical Education, Department Chair, head basketball and baseball coach, assistant football coach and athletic director, all at Ohio Northern. He was named to the ONU Athletic Hall of Fame, received the ONU Alumni Award and was named to the National Association of Atheltic Directors Hall of Fame. He was a loyal and distinguished member of the faculty of Ohio Northern for 34 years.
He was a member of Theta Nu Epsilon Fraternity, ONU N-Men's Association, Elks Lodge and the Rotary Club.
Dr. English is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen Agnes Sullivan English and five children; Jerry, of Glennwood Springs, Colorado; Kathy of New Carlisle, Ohio; Linda of Murray, Kentucky; Timothy of Westlake, Ohio and Thomas of Jersey City, New Jersey. All of his children are graduates of Ada High School and Ohio Northern University. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two sisters and a brother.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2000 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ada.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to either the Marvin V. English Scholarship Fund at Ohio Northern University or to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Emma J. Dearth, 63, of Ada, died May 7, 2000 at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 10, 1936 to Martin and Dixie (Whitaker) Baldridge of Kenton, Ohio. On June 4, 1955 she married Sam G. Dearth who survives in Ada.
Other survivors include two sons, Dean (Julie ) Dearth of Roundhead, Ohio and Dave Dearth of Ada; two daughters, Cheryl Dye of Ada, and Charlene (Rick) Hughes of Ada; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard(Mary Ann) Baldridge and John (Freida) Baldridge both of Lima; two sisters, Irene (Ira) Mabrey of Kenton, and Mary (Jim) Mathias of Napoleon, Ohio; three step-brothers, Woodrow, Robert and Victor Nichols; three step-sisters, Isabelle Putnam, Josephine McElroy, and Katherine Nichols.
She was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Baldridge.
Mrs. Dearth was a homemaker. She retired in 1995 from Harris Corporation in Findlay where she was an assembler. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the VFW Post 9381 of Ada.
Services were held May 10, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada with Pastor Robert Dye officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Jordan Blake Smith was stillborn at 9:33 p.m. May 3, 2000 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
His parents Ronald Eugene and Stephanie Rachelle Neeley Smith survive in Harrod.
Other survivors include maternal great grandparents Earl and Barbara Miller of West Newton, Ohio; maternal step-grandmother, Donna Parkinson of Lima; paternal grandparents, Chuck and Marian Smith of Lima; paternal great grandmother, Dorothy Evans of Lima; and paternal great grandfather, Fay O. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents J.B. and Linda Neeley.

Freelon Gullett, 79, of Kenton died May 12, 2000 at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
He was born Jan. 12, 1921 to Edward and Josephine (Haney) Gullett of Salyersville, Kentucky. In January 1947, he married Louesa M. Morgan, who survives in Columbus.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry (JoAnn) Gullett of Roundhead, Gayland (Alice) Gullett of Spencerville; seven daughters, Arnita Shepherd of Alger, Karen Jo Gullett of Texas, Cheryl (Dale) Sammet of Upper Sandusky, Naomi Jean Gullett of Columbus, Elaine (Daniel) Stuckey of Kenton, Freda Scott of Columbus, Barbara (Kenneth) Manns of Kenton; 18 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Anna (Arthur) Krummrey of Ada.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dora Back and Gladys Barnett; and three brothers, Claude Gullett, Arthur "Junior" Gullett, and James Edward "Pete" Gullett.
Mr. Gullett was retired from Clark Company of Lima where he was a laborer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He was a life member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #3333 of Kenton and also a member of the House of Prayer in Kenton.
Services were held May 15, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger with the Pastor David Trusty officiating. Burial was at Preston Cemetery in Alger.

Robert Thad Evans, 55, of Richwood died May 20, 2000 at Grant Medical Center from injuries sustained in a farming accident.
He was born Aug. 1, 1944 to Robert L. and Lotus Lucille (Hedges) Evans of Marion. On Jan. 20, 1968 he married Jeannie Rosebrough who survives in Richwood.
Other survivors include two sons, Greg (Michelle) Evans and Jared Evans, both of Richwood; one daughter, Carrie Evans of Columbus; one brother, Tom (Sherry) Evans of Ada; two sisters-in-law, Delores Evans of Westerville and Vicki Cooper of Columbus; two nieces, Melanie Evans and Tara Biederman; three nephews, Brian (Lisa) Evans, Travis (Tina) Evans and Wade Evans, both of Ada.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Evans.
Services were held May 23, 2000 at the Richwood Church of Christ with the Rev. Scot Gorsuch officiating.
Mr. Evans was a farmer, a 1962 graduate of Richwood High School, member of First United Methodist Church, active member of the Essex K of P Lodge for 37 years, member and former board member and president of the Farm Bureau and was also a 4-H advisor.

Earl Francis Henry Jr., 54, of Ada died May 17, 2000 at the Veterans Hospital in Detroit, Mich.
He was born March 2, 1946 to Earl F. and Dorothea M. (Brogaard) Henry Sr. of Chicago, Ill. On Feb 5, 1993 he married Barbara Lyle who survives.
Other survivors include five sons, Phillip, Scott, Mark, and Robert (all of Cheboygan, Mich.) and Michael of Tiffin, Ohio; one daughter, Jennifer Henry of Cheboygan, Mich; six grandchildren; one sister, Darlene Shaver of Ada; six brothers, Roger, Richard, Larry, Chris, Danny and Robert; one nephew, Vincent Shaver; one niece Daylene Shaver; six great nephews, Johnny, Joe, Josh, and Jake Reid, and Trevor and Tyler Satterfield; and many aunts and uncles in the Chicago area.
He was preceded in death by brother Edward Jr.
Mr. Henry was a laborer at Plasti-pak in Jackson Center, Ohio. He was also a helper at Professional Transportation in Detroit. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War.
Services will be held May 26, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada where the Ada VFW Post #9381 will conduct a Military Memorial Service.

Minor E. "Gene" King died May 22, 2000 at his residence.
He was born December 12, 1934 to Charles and Nellie Colabuono King of Allen County. On Aug. 2, 1978 he married Floy Freytag King who survives in Alger.
Other survivors include two sons, Charles King of Alger, and George (Louise) Williams of Moore, Ok.; six daughters, Vicki Callipare of Lima, Rhonda (Chris) Shute of Lake Lure, N.C., Kelly (John) Urban of Waco, Tx., Janet (Joseph) Gossard of Lima, and Cynthia (Robert) Goldsmith of Harrod; and half children Tonya (Ronald ) Nance of Alger and Floyd Wilson of Lima; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Mary Jane Sroufe of Lima, Geraldine Cash of Lima, Lenekay Foulks of Vaughnsville, Ohio; and Virginia Daniels of Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by brother Robert King and sister Marion Diller.
Mr. King was retired from the service department of West Ohio Gas. He was a U.S. veteran, Corporal with the U.S. Marines/American Legion #63 of Ottawa and a life member of VFW #9142 of Ottawa.
Services will be held May 25, 2000 at the Chiles & Sons-Laman Lewis Chapel with William Perry officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wed. and one hour prior to the service on Thurs. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites by VFW #1275.

Julia A. "Judy" Fulks, 81 of Ada died May 26, 2000 at the Winebrenner Village Nursing Home in Findlay.
She was born December 13, 1918 to Joseph and Lena (Kahle) Nartker of Kalida. On Sept. 30, 1950 she married James W. Fulks who died March 31, 1988.
Survivors include one brother, Richard Nartker of Findlay; four sisters, Arlene Beining of Findlay, Evelyn (Laverne) Looser of Ottoville, Jean (Robert) Whitaker of Delphos, and Marie Brickner of Delphos.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Virgil, Harold, Donald and infant Nartker; and two sisters Thelma Snyder and infant Nartker.
Mrs. Fulks was a homemaker and a a retired secretary from Westinghouse Corp. in Lima. She was a member of Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Ada, a member of the Ada VFW Ladies Auxillary Post 9381, and a member of the Elks Lodge in Lima.
Mrs. Fulks lived in Inverness, Florida for six months each year.
Services were held May 29, 2000 at our Lady of Lourdes with the Rev. Dan Millisor officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada.

Vayda GoldBerg, 98, of Ada died May 24, 2000 at her daughter's residence in Ada.
She was born May 22, 1902 to Addett J. and Eda (Downs) Barrett of Sparta, Mich. On Nov 10, 1922 she married Charles GoldBerg who died on Dec. 24, 1979.
Survivors include one daughter, Esther (William) Jones of Ada; her niece who she raised, Minnie (Clyde) Sparks of Ridgeway, Virginia; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughter Eda Medford, two brothers and six sisters.
Mrs. GoldBerg was a homemaker and an elementary school teacher. She taught school at Peach Plains Country School in Grand Haven, Mich., and also at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nunica, Mich. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she held many offices over her life time. She resided in Grand Haven, Mich. from 1922 until 1995.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Cooperville Cemetery in Cooperville, Mich., where she will be buried in the family plot.

Ray D. Amstutz, 75 of Bluffton died May 26, 2000 at the Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.
He was born July 27, 1924 to Ezra and Etta (Davidson) Amstutz. On Aug. 10, 1957 he married Mildred Gelston, who survives.
Other survivors include one brother, Fred Amstutz of Bluffton; and two sisters, Ruth Ayers of Bluffton and Marcils Henkener of New Knoxville, Ohio.
Mr. Amstutz was a farmer. He was also a member of the Green Valley Community Church in Green Valley, Arizona, a life member-Pandora American Legion, a life member-Ada VFW, F&AM #344, Ada and Ada Chapter 138 Royal Arch Masons, Order of the Eastern Star #121, Lafayette.
Mr.Amstutz was a veteran of WWII Army. He received the Purple Heart medal for wounds received in action.
A memorial service for family and friends was held May 29, 2000 at the Patio Room at Maple Crest with the Rev. Douglas Luginhill and Rev. James S. Amstutz officiating.

Roberta M. Botkin, 82 of Ada, formerly of Alger died May 30, 2000 at the Lost Creek Care Center. She was born Nov. 28, 1917 to Thomas E. and Clara (Hattery) Hoover of Lima. On Nov. 26, 1942 she married Gerald A. Botkin who died on July 18, 1973.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane (James ) Huff of Ada; one sister Alice Willard of Lima; one half -sister, Mary Maxine Green of Cridersville; two grandchildren, William (Cindy) Huff of Flat Rock, Mich.; and Laura (Joe) Johnson of San Francisco, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Kaitlyn Johnson.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Bernice, Martha, Leona and Ruth; five brothers, Roy, Ralph, Ora, Emory, and Delsey; and by a half brother Elza Junior Carmean.
Mrs. Botkin was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, member of the Leah Circle of the First United Methodist Church, member of the former Central United Methodist Church of Alger, member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge of Alger, member of the Homemakers Community Club of West Newton, member of the Ada Senior Citizens, and was a 1937 graduate of Alger High School.
Services will held on June 1, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada at 1:00, with the Rev. Wayne Albertson officiating. Friends may call on May 31 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and until the time of the service on Thursday. Burial will be at Preston Cemetery in Alger.

Rosemary E. Wince, 59, of Lafayette died June 6, 2000 at her residence. She was born Oct. 15, 1940 to Homer and Rose (Lorch) Wince of Cloverdale, Ohio.
Survivors include five brothers, Glenn (Maxine) Wince of Harrod, George (Carol) Wince of Ada, Charles (Fran) Wince of Ada, Leslie (Margaret) Wince of Lima, and Robert (Sue) Wince of Ada; one sister, Ruth Riley of Columbus; 14 nieces and nephews; and 14 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers Frank and Dale Wince, and sister Cynthia Thompson.
Ms. Wince was retired from Lima Memorial Hospital where she was a baker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada. She graduated from Lafayette-Jackson High School.
Services were held June 9, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Duffy officiating.

Violet "Tudy" C. Baier, 72, of Lima died June 18, 2000, at the Plus Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 23, 1927 to Herman and Rose (Adams) Breer. On June 8, 1948 she married Paul Baier who survives in Lima.
Paul and Violet raised one daughter, Debra Bunner of Chillicothe, Ohio and two grandchildren, Wendy (Daniel) Higbie of Ada, and Crystal Schall of Allentown, Pa. She is also survived by two brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Baier was a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Lafayette, and a member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary.
Private family services were held June 21, 2000 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Larry Trover officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Respite Care Program of Lima.
Jerry A. Ream, 60 of Ada died June 16, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 24, 1939 to Kenneth and Violet (Gossard) Ream of Dunkirk. He was married to Mary Alice Young who survives in Ada.
Other survivors include one son, Bruce Alan (Cindy) Ream of Rawson, three daughters, Tina Annette (Michael) Rettig of New Haven, Ind., Kimberly Ann (Michael) Mathewson of Marysville, and Penni Alicia (Ryan) Kloeppel of Columbus Grove; step-mother Johnnie Ream of Lima; one brother Donald Ream of Waynesfield; step-brother Albert Childers of Lima; two sisters, Ruth Friemoth of Lima, and Colleen Spillman of Waynesfield; step-sister Ruby Paclino of Laguna Hills, Calif., and 11 grandchildren.
Mr. Ream retired from the Lima Ford Engine Plant since 1992. He was a member of the V.F.W. Lima Post, Machine Repair Apprenticeship 1988 at Ford Motor Co. and a veteran of the Marine Reserves. He was a 1957 graduate of Lima Senior High School. His hobbies included farming, coin collecting and working on anything mechanical.
Services were held June 21, 2000 at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton Chapel with Chaplain Richard Coon officiating. Burial was at Thompson Cemetery in Bluffton.
Memorials may be made to St. Rita's Hospice.
Harold W. Baden, 82, of Ada, died June 23, 2000, at the Lima Memorial Hospital, Intensive Care Unit from injuries sustained from an auto accident on June 20. He was born Aug. 30, 1917 to Carl and Alma (Werner) Baden of Hamler, Ohio. He was married to Jeanne Routt who survives in Ada.
Other survivors include one son, James W. Baden of Lima; two daughters, Linda S. (Ronald) Lamam of Lima, and Lisa S. (Larry) Biederman of Ada; three brothers, Arthur Baden of Bellefontaine, Robert Baden of Middleton, Ohio, and Edward Baden of Gomer, Ohio; one sister, Olga Groll of Lima; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nora Littrell and infant sister Irene, three brothers, George, Walter and Frederick Baden.
Mr. Baden was retired from Harold Lincoln Food Broker, of Toledo. He was the former owner of Harold's Market and Party Shop on N.West St. in Lima. He was a graduate of Northwestern Business College in Lima. He was a C.P.A. He was a former member of the Sertoma Club of Lima, and the Ada Farmers Exchange. He was also a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church of Ada.
Private graveside services were held on June 26, 2000 with the Rev. Larry Trover officiating.

Clara Brown 90, of Ada, died June 27, 2000, at the Richland Manor Nursing Home in Bluffton. She was born June 12, 1910 to Benny and Margaret (Baldridge) Baldridge of Prestonburg, Ky. On March 24, 1925 she married Estel Brown, who died on June 8, 1998.
Survivors include three sons, Russell (Rose) Brown of Ada, Delmer Brown of Ada, Estel Douglas (Joyce) Brown of Ada; three daughters, Josephine (Amos) Hackworth of Ada, Darlene Casper of Ada, and Jane (Don) Robinson of Ada; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and eight great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Robert E. Brown; four brothers, Andrew, Martin, Elzy and Ance Baldridge; three sisters, Susie Neely, Becky Hall and Nancy Workman.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lonesome Valley United Baptist Church of Alger where she was a true and faithful member for over 40 years and served as a Deacon with her husband.
Services will be held June 30, 2000 at at 10:30 a.m. at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada with the Elder Amos Hackworth officiating. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 and prior to the time of the service on Friday. Burial will be at Preston Cemetery in Alger.
Donald E. Brown, 89, of Harrod (formerly of Alger and Bellefontaine), died June 26, 2000 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug.19, 1910 to Marshall R. and Mary Bell (Arnold) Brown of Bellefontaine. On Sept. 25, 1935 he married Matilda M. "Tillie" McAlexander who died on June 4, 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Rev. Dr. Thomas E. (Shirley) Brown of Centerville and James R. (Louise) Brown of Lima; one daughter, Bonnie (Dan) Booher of Harrod; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four step- grandchildren; 15 step great- grandchildren; and a special niece Joan Turner of Bellefontaine.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, one step-grandson, two sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Brown was the former superintendent of IGA stores in Ohio. He owned and operated several grocery stores in the Bellefontaine and Alger areas. He was a member of Lafayette United Methodist Church, and former member of Bellefontaine Church of Christ where he often sang. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #209, Bellefontaine; member of Masonic Lodge F&AM #344 of Ada, member of Ohio Indian Craft & Culture Organization, Ohio Gun Collectors Association and the National Rifle Association. He was also the first Boy Scout Leader in Logan County.
Services will be held June 30, 2000 at at 1:00 p.m. at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger with Pastor Ron Briggs and Rev. Bruce McDaniel officiating. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 and prior to the time of the service on Friday. A Masonic memorial service will be conducted by Masonic Lodge F&AM #344 of Ada on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Huntsville Cemetery.

Emerson E. Moser, 76, of Harrod, died June 24, 2000, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 26, 1923 to Ira and Mary (Herr) Moser of Orange Township, Ohio.
Survivors include two brothers, Wayne (Violet) Moser of Bluffton, and James (Dorothy) Moser of Pandora; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Louetta Bauman and one brother Howard C. Moser.
Mr. Moser was a truck driver. He retired in 1980 from the Penn Çentral Railroad where he was a clerk. He was a member of the Ada Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. Lodge #344 of Ada.
Services were held June 27, 2000 at the Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Ada with Pastor Thomas Dearth officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
