Paul A. Tidd, 83, Belle Center, died Jan. 15, 1999 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
He was born Dec. 22, 1915 in Hardin County to Hollister S. and Myrtle (Davis) Tidd.
Survivors include one brother, Dean (Florence) Tidd of Levittown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Schwab, Margaret Malone and Wanda Tidd.
Following high school, Mr. Tidd attended Ohio Northern University in Ada and engaged in farming after his college career.
Mr. Tidd was a Past Master of the Wayne Lodge #569 F & AM; Past High Priest of the Ada Chapter #138 R.A.M.; Past Ill. Master of the Kenton Council #65 R.S.M.; Past Commander of the Kenton Commandery #58 K.T. and a member of Ohio Priory #18 K.Y.C.H.
Paul Tidd was the fifth generation and last of the Tidd Family in Roundhead Township since Samuel Tidd settled there in 1822.
Services were held this morning, Jan. 20 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with the Rev. Calvin Waugh officiating. Burial was in Roundhead Cemetery.

Edna Wischmeyer, 92, Lima, died Jan. 16, 1999 at Lima Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1906, in Miller City, to Henry and Theresa Glass Otto. On June 29, 1927, she married Lawrence Wischmeyer, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Paul C. (Donna) Wischmeyer, Norbert L. Wischmeyer and Ronald B. (Loretta) Wischmeyer, all of Lima, and Daniel L. (Lola) Wischmeyer of Ada; a daughter, Agnes T. (Robert) Miller of Toledo; a brother, Leo Wischmeyer of Lima; three sisters, Betty Birkemeier of Ottawa, Mary Wagner of Sebring, Fla., and Lucille Schroeder of Leipsic; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur and Louis Otto.
Mrs. Wischmeyer was a homemaker and a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.
Mass of Christian Burial was held this morning, Jan. 20 at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial was in Gethsemani Cemetery.

Marvin E. Dunahue, 64, Kenton, died Jan. 12, 1999 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
He was born Jan. 3, 1935 in Hardin County to Andrew and Elsie (Osborn) Dunahue. In March, 1956, he married Shirley Myers who survives in Kenton.
Survivors also include two sons, Jeffrey of Ostrander and Gary (Tami) of Kenton; a daughter, Joni (Jack) Rensing of Dunkirk; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Andrew and Robert, both of Kenton; three sisters, Gladys Hervey of Winnebago, Minn., Pauline (Omer) Long of Kenton and Bernice (Carlos) Bodine of Collinsville, Ill. and a close friend of the family, Jose Viri of Kenton.
Mr. Dunahue was owner and manager of Dunahue Sohio/BP Station in Kenton for 42 years. He was a retired colonel of the Ohio Defense Corps, a member of the First Christian Church, former chairman of the church board, elder, deacon and trustee of the church; former Kenton City First Ward councilman; member of Kenton Lions Club, past president and former district zone chairman; member of Kenton Elks Lodge, Kenton Moose Lodge, former assistant Scout Master Troop 150, member of Kenton Coffee Cups, ushered for Ohio State football games for 22 years and for the last several years, volunteered at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Services were held Jan. 15 at First Christian Church in Kenton by Pastor Mark Davis. Burial was in Grove Cemetery.

Clarence Gilbert Huysman, 76, Lima, died Jan. 13, 1999 at the Lima Convalescent Home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Ottoville to Earl and Beatrice Carter Huysman. He married Marie Schnipke, who died Dec. 29, 1987.
Survivors include three daughters, Karen Sue (Jim) Kanode of Ada, Garnett Ann (Fred) Heer of Findlay and Patricia Marie (Ron) Chapman of Lima; five brothers, Eugene Huysman, Ralph Huysman, Fred Huysman and Jim Huysman, all of Lima, and Bob Huysman of Washington Court House; four sisters, Betty Yant of Bluffton and Carol Kohl, Joyce Kohl and Phyllis Cloyd, all of Lima; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kay Jay.
Mr. Huysman retired in 1985 as an electrician from the Ford Lima Engine Plant. He was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54, American Legion Post 96, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and Knights of Columbus 2661.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 15 at St. Gerard Catholic Church, with the Revs. Vincent Hoying and Denis Sweeney officiating. Burial was in Gethsemani Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.

Trula May Lones, 76, of Alger, formerly of Lima, died Jan. 14, 1999 at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
She was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Detroit, to Leonard Christopher and Minnie May Hickman Sumner. On Oct. 4, 1949, she married Donovan "Red" Lones, who died Nov. 22, 1992.
Survivors include a son, Donovan (Lisa) Lones of Kenton; two stepsons, Robert (Diane) Lones and Richard Lones, both of Lima; a stepdaughter, Marlyn (Dick) Stemen of Calera, Ala; a brother, Leonard Sumner of Tennessee; a sister, Eva Galeas of Livonia, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Stephens.
Mrs. Lones was a homemaker and a member of United Commercial Travelers, Columbus.
Services were held Jan. 17 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Dodds officiating.

Dorothy "Dotty" Marie Cheney, 48, Weston, died Jan. 23, 1999 at her residence.
She was born March 29, 1950 in Bowling Green to Lawrence A. and Ellen May Woessner Taylor. On June 10, 1967, she married Dennis C. Cheney in Upper Sandusky, and he survives in Weston.
Survivors also include two sons, Dennis Cheney Jr. and Daryl Ray Cheney, both of Bowling Green; a daughter, Lora Lea Zuhlsdorf of Weston; two brothers, Larry Taylor of Grand Rapids and Edward Taylor of Rudolph; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Taylor; and a sister, Carolyn Loofbourrow.
Mrs. Cheney had been employed at Bowling Green State University for 15 years as a cook. She attended the Community of Christ Lutheran Church, Bowling Green.

Louella Neubert, 86, Alger, died Jan. 23, 1999 at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton.
She was born Aug. 12, 1912, in Hardin County to Walter and Florence (Shepherd) Scott. On June 12, 1937, she married James E. Neubert, and he died March 17, 1998.
Survivors include one brother, Melvin "Sam" (Eurella) Scott of Alger; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lou Ann Neubert and a brother, William Scott.
Mrs. Neubert was a homemaker. She also taught kindergarten and was a secretary for the Gas Tax Commission in Columbus. She was a member of the Alger First United Methodist Church, and its United Methodist Women's group. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #6, Ada.
Services will begin today, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. at Alger First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Calvin Waugh officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.

Wilson G. Keller Jr., 70, Lima, died, Jan. 22, 1999 at East Pasce Medical Center, Zephrhills, Fla.
He was born Oct. 18, 1928 in Columbus, to Wilson G. and Helen (Chesley) Keller Sr. On Aug. 20, 1950 he married Neva Smith, and she survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Steve (Phyllis) Keller of Beavercreek and Bill Keller of Columbus; two daughters, Nancy (Michael) Berge of Payson, Ariz. and Judy (Erik) Williamson of Powell; three brothers, Merill (Alice) Keller of Belle Center, Ralph (Anita) Keller and Lloyd (Lois) Keller of Lakeland, Fla.; two half brothers, Leslie (Betty) Keller of Lima and Art (Mary) Sheely of Cridersville; one sister Juanita Morris of Glendale, Ariz.; one half sister, Virginia Chashell of Dublin; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Mr. Keller was a retired Ford Motor employee. He was also owner and operator of Wills Electric. He was a member of the Hix and Chix Square Dance Club.

Kenneth I. Hauenstein, 82, Harrod, died Jan. 23, 1999 at Richland Manor, Bluffton.
He was born Nov. 27, 1916, in Allen County to Lewis C. and Jennie M. Stober Hauenstein. On Dec. 25, 1943, he married Lucille Klingler, who died Dec. 1, 1983. On Oct. 28, 1995, he married Mary Miller Neumeier, who survives.

Dr. Robert J. Gobin, 71, Colchester, Vt., passed away unexpectantly on Jan. 5, 1999, in W. Palm Beach, Fla. as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage suffered on Dec. 23, 1998.
He was born Nov. 11, 1927, in Ada, to John B. (Pat) and Pauline (Main) Gobin. In June 1947, he married Alice Anspach of Ada, who survives at their winter home at 2000 N. Volusia Ave., Unit C--13, Orange City, Fla. 32763.
Survivors also include two daughters, Susan (Larry) Ransom of Essex Junction, Vt. and Christine (Bob) Fischer of Jerico, Vt.; two sons, Michael (Anne) of Broad Creek, Conn. and Jeffrey (Christine) of Santee, Calif.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a stepmother, Jeannette Gobin of W. Palm Beach, Fla.; one brother, James (Jackie Lamb) of Bellefontaine; and a sister-in-law, Jane (Don) Gobin of Savannah, Ga.
Dr. Gobin graduated from Ada High School in 1946 and from Ohio Northern University in 1950 with a B.S. in education. He also graduated from Bowling Green State University with a M.S. in education and in 1964 from Ohio State University with a Ph.D. in education.
From 1950-56 he taught school and coached in Ohio. From 1956-58 he taught children of U.S. service personnel in Paris, France and Struttgart, Germany. He was a professor and coach at ONU and Findlay College from 1958-60. He attended O.S.U. from 1961-63 as a graduate fellow. He was a professor at California State University, Hayward, Calif. from 1963-64. He finished his career by teaching as a professor at the University of Vermont, Burlington, from 1965 to 1992. Since retirement he had taught Adaptive Aquatics at St. Michael's College,Winooski, Vt., at Stetson University, and the YMCA in DeLand Fla.
Memorial services were held in Candlelight Park, Orange City, Fla.

She was born Oct. 25, 1930 in Waldo, Ky. to Robert Lee and Eva (Wireman) Moore. On Feb. 26, 1949, she married Richard L. Moore, who survives in Alger.

Frances Elaine Seymour, 68, Kenton, formerly of Forest, died Jan. 20, 1999 at Hardin Hills Health Center.
She was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Alva, Miss. to Robbie Alvin and Mary Estelle (Dalton) Crick. On Oct. 3, 1959, in Lexington Park, Md., she married Robert Lee Seymour, and he survives in Forest.
Survivors also include two sons, Robert Lee (Linda) Seymour Jr. of Ada, and David Crick Seymour of Miami, Fla.; one grandchild; three stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; two brothers, R.D. Crick of Arlington, Ind. and Esculin "Dick" Crick of Oxford, Miss.; and one sister, Elvis Larin Houston of Oxford, Miss.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mavis Short.

Gold Howard, 58, Carey, died Jan. 20, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 27, 1940 in Salyersville, Ky. to Clabe and Virginia (Joseph) Howard. On Nov. 7, 1997, he married Frances S. McKenzie-Pope in Salyersville, Ky., and she survives.
Survivors include a son, Clyde Howard of Foraker; a daughter, Virginia "Jenny" Howard of Russells Point; five stepsons, Lester Mundy of Chatfield, Dallas Mundy of Columbus, Danny Mundy of Marion, Michael Mundy of Carey and Rick Mundy of Ada; three stepdaughters, Mary (Roger) Mayhan of Columbus, Sue (Ed) Hensley of Chatfield and Judy (Jeff) Newland of Ada; three grandchildren, Andy, Benji and Sarah Howard; and a sister, Gloria Jean Risner of Gaithersburg, Md.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest and Perry Mahan and Douglas Mundy.
Mr. Howard was a laborer with several construction companies in the Lima area. He was a former member of the Kenton Moose Lodge and Kenton Eagles. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Pauline M. Humphrey, 82, Kenton, formerly of Dunkirk, died Jan. 19, 1999 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
She was born April 19, 1916, in Pioneer to Edward and Dinah (Oyer) Miller. On Feb. 28, 1941, she married Willis Simmons Humphrey, and he died Feb. 14, 1998.
Survivors include a son, Craig (Teresa) of Findlay; a daughter, Sherrie (Russell) Gordon of South Bend, Ind.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Delores Martin of Pioneer and Jean Diller of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn and Harold Miller.
Mrs. Humphrey was salutatorian of Pioneer High School in 1934, and graduated from Bluffton College with a bachelor's degree in English and Latin. She was a teacher, and during her teaching career, she worked for and received a degree in library science. She taught in Dunkirk, Liberty Benton and Perry high schools. She directed and wrote many high school, church and community plays, and also presented monologues at various functions. While teaching home economics, she was able to share her love of sewing and home interior design talents with her students. She was a member of the Williamstown First Brethren Church.
Services were held Jan. 23 at Williamstown First Brethren Church by Pastors Russell Gordon and James Naff. Burial was in Dunkirk Cemetery.

Maynard Paul Bosserman, 74, Houston, Texas, formerly of Dola, died Nov. 4, 1998 at the Hospice at Texas Medical Center, Houston.
He was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Williamstown to Harry and Gladys Bosserman. He married Evelyn Armentrout, who died in June 1990.
Survivors include a son, David (Miriam) Bosserman of Angleton, Texas; a brother, Willis Bosserman of Sebring, Fla.; and a granddaughter.
Mr. Bosserman was a member of the First Unitarian Church, Houston. He was a 1942 graduate of Dola High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific.
Memorial services were held Nov. 8, 1998 at the First Unitarian Church.

George L. Gast, 69, Lima, died Jan. 19, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Lima to Louis and Mazo Cozene Buck Gast. On July 29, 1946, he married Janet Bessire, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Dana Andrew Gast of Dayton and Jon Louis (Cheryl) Gast of Jenera; a daughter, Christina L. (Gary) Oswalt of Dayton; a brother, William Gast of Ada; two sisters, Louise LaRue of Cridersville and Eleanor McNaulty of Dayton; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Robert Gast; and a sister, Helen Holt.
Mr. Gast was a machinist for Clark Equipment and was owner/operator of Gast Floor Sanding. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.

Gertrude Davis, 89, Richton, Ill., died Jan. 24, 1999 in Richton.
She married Russell Davis, formerly of Ada, and he preceded her in death in 1967.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy of Richton, Ill.; a daughter, Margaret Ellen Turner of Boston, Mass.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Esther; two brothers-in law, Carl L. Davis and E. Galen Davis; and two sisters-in-law, Cecil Burke and Dorthy Davis.
Mrs. Davis taught many years in the Chicago school system.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28 at Park Forest Baptist Church. Burial will be at Park Forest Cemetery, Park Forest, Ill.

Patty L. Noble, 70, Lima, died Jan. 24, 1999 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 1, 1928, in Lima to Paul B. and Pauline Zimmerman Bice. On June 25, 1949, she married William E. Noble, and he survives.
Survivors also include a son, Christopher D. Noble of Salt Lake City; a daughter, Kimberly N. Woolary, of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Noble worked in fashion and public relations with Sanger Brothers, Dallas, and previously had worked in fashion and public relations with Lazarus, Columbus, and in advertising with Feldman's Department Store, Lima.
She was a graduate of Ada High School and attended Bowling Green State University.
She was a member of Market Street Presbyterian Church, where she was a past elder. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Soroity, the YWCA, the Junior Service League, Shawnee Country Club and Orchard Hill Racquet Club.
She started the Junior Program with Lima City Schools of the American Red Cross and was a member of the Women's Medical Auxiliary and helped organize a countywide educational venereal disease program for all the schools.
Services will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday at Market Street Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Richard Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Cleo Zimmerman, 94, Harrod, died Jan. 28,1999 at Lost Creek Care Center of Lima.
She was born Aug. 5, 1904, in Logan County to Findlay and Nellie (Emery) Elder. On April 21, 1928, she married Noble Zimmerman, and he died July 9, 1973.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Mirella) Zimmerman of Findlay and Noble Jay (Nancy) Zimmerman of Harrod; one daughter, Mary Ann Lawrence of Harrod; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Willard Zimmerman; a daughter, Phyllis Miller; and two sisters, Nova McKinnon and Helen Troyer.
Mrs. Zimmerman was a homemaker. She was a member of the West Newton United Methodist Church, the church's W.S.C.S., a member of the West Newton Community Club, the West Newton Garden Club, the Allen County Community Club and was a member of the former West Newton Grange. Mrs. Zimmerman attended Ohio Northern University for two years in the business college.

Floyd A. Bridges, 85, Alger, died Jan. 30, 1999 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton.
He was born June 6, 1913, in Gastonia, N.C., to Alex and Emma (Carpenter) Bridges. On May 19, 1946, he married Janet Beck and she survives in Alger.
Survivors also include one son, Oscar Bridges of Charlotte, N.C.; three stepsons, William Van Tatham and Dennis Edward Tatham, both of Charlotte, N.C. and Ronald Crossmon of Van Buren; one daughter, Thelma Bridges Pope of Florida; two stepdaughters, Peggy Golden of Charlotte, N.C. and Deloris Ward of Thomasville, N.C.; one brother, Bill Bridges of Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Ethel Pope of Bessmen City, N.C.; several grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Bridges formerly worked at Lima Baldwin Hamilton and was a machinist for 21 years at the ExCello Corp. of Lima. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Gastonia N.C., a member of the UAW Local 1211 of Lima, and attended the Lafayette Missionary Baptist Church.

C. Roger Paugh, 77, Harrod, died Feb. 1, 1999 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 22, 1922 in Roundhead to Albert and Eunice (Young) Paugh. On Aug. 5, 1945, he married Mildred L. Parker and she survives in Harrod.
Survivors also include one son, Leslie Paugh of Reynoldsburg; three grandchildren, Jennifer Paugh, Christina Paugh and Todd Paugh; one great-granddaughter, Mikaela Paugh; two brothers, Donald (Norma) Paugh of Montpelier and Neal Paugh of Morrow.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret and a brother, Wilson.
Mr. Paugh was a farmer and was also retired from Neon Products Inc. of Lima in 1977 after 32 years of service. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran; a member of the Auglaize Bible Church of Harrod; a member of the Farm Bureau Council #25; former Trustee of Auglaize Township (1981-1991); and a substitute rural mail carrier for 10 years in Lafayette and Harrod Post Offices.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with the Rev. Gordon Terpening officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.
Friends may call 35 and 79 p.m. on Wednesday and until time of services at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger on Thursday.

Leslie W. Keller, 86, Ada, died Jan. 31, 1999 at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima.
He was born March 10, 1912 in Auglaize County to Wilson and Ethel (Shoup) Keller Sr. On March 10, 1946, he married Betty R. Kelchner, and she survives in Lima.
Survivors also include two sons, James (Mary) Keller and Elwood Keller, both of Lima; one daughter, Becky (Craig) Bollinger of Lima; three half brothers, Ralph (Anita) Keller of Ada, Lloyd (Lois) Keller of Lakeland, Fla. and Merrill (Alice) Keller of Belle Center; three half sisters, Jennie Graymire and Judy Altenbach, both of Lima and Juanita Morris of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Albert and David Keller; two brothers, George and Urfe Keller; one half brother, Wilson Keller Jr.; a stepfather, Elwood Stuckey; and a stepmother, Helen Keller.
Mr. Keller was a retired assembler at Ex-Cell-O Corp., Bluffton. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church of Lima and a former member of the Ada First United Methodist Church, a member of the Ada Lions Club, the Ada VFW Post #9381 and a member of the Farm Bureau of Allen County.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Pastor Richard Steigleder officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call 24 and 68 p.m. on Wednesday and until time of service on Thursday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada.

Albert W. Ferrell, 64, Kenton, died Jan. 24, 1999 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 13, 1934, in Kenton to Jay and Susie Jane Yazel Ferrell. His stepfather, Wilson Myers, survives in Kenton.
Survivors also include a brother, John (Pat) Ferrell of Kenton; three sisters, Mary Lou (Robert) Salsbury of Dunkirk and Eloise Martindell and Jeanette (Earnest) Manns, both of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Mr. Ferrell was a member of AMVETS Post 1994 and was a former member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3333. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Graveside services were held Jan. 27 at Norman Cemetery, Kenton, with military rites. The Rev. Dennis Burns officiated.

Lewis "Lew" Carmean, 82, McGuffey, died Feb. 1, 1999 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 13, 1916 in Roundhead to William and Della (Kissling) Carmean. On May 22, 1937, he married Maxine L. Wies, and she survives in McGuffey.
Survivors also include three daughters, Betty Cochrane and Ardith (Leonard) Martin, both of McGuffey, and Gloria (James) Wright of Ada; one brother, Howard (Skip) Carmean of Avon Park, Fla.; one sister, Gertrude Newland of Kenton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Eugene Carmean; one granddaughter, Brenda Lee Bailey; three sisters, Margarite Chalfin, Minnie Dysert and Clara Gross; and four brothers, Gene, John, Charlie and Homer Carmean.
Mr. Carmean was the marshall, mayor, and superintendent of the water and sewer department of the Village of McGuffey. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #428 of Kenton since 1976, a member of the McGuffey Conservation Club, a former member of the McGuffey Volunteer Fire Department, and was presently a member of the Board of Public Affairs for the Village of McGuffey.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with Scot Caley officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
