Helen Schenck Younkman, 91, Lima, died May 27, 1999 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
She was born March 27, 1908, in Pleasant Mills, Ind., to Charles and Wilma (Cowan) Schenck. On June 12, 1937, she married Lton A. "Curt" Younkman, and he survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Daniel (Connie) Younkman of Lima and William Younkman of Harrod; one daughter, Mary Margaret (Don) Schwarzentraub of Norwalk; one sister, Amy Ellen Berger of Jackson; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Schenck; and a sister, Margaret Schenck.
Mrs. Younkman taught speech and math at Bath High School. She also taught at Lafayette-Jackson High School. Mrs. Younkman also coached girls basketball, was an active public speaker, and had a radio program titled "Grandma Younkman's Story Time on WTGN, Lima. She was a member of Lafayette United Methodist Church, and a graduate of Pleasant Mills High School, Pleasant Mills, Ind., and Yankton College at Yankton, S.D.
Services were held May 29 at Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Bluffton Chapel, with the Rev. Del Bonar officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Jennie A. Wita, 73, Harrod, died May 27, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 12, 1926 in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Albert and Mary (Ruso) Luna. On July 17, 1954, she married Edward J. Wita, and he died Dec. 29, 1984.
Survivors include five daughters, Kathleen Roth of Columbus, Linda Easley of Plant City, Fla., Denise A. (Jeff) Long of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., Toni Singer of Ada, and Anne Wita of Harrod; one sister Phyllis (Terry) Ford of Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Wita was a homemaker and a member of the Harrod Women's Civic Club.
Services were held May 29 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with the Rev. Calvin Waugh officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.

Gary Joseph Mayotte, 61, Harrod, died May 26, 1999 at his residence.
He was born June 14, 1937 in Munising, Mich., to Joseph and Violet Raymond Mayotte. On Dec. 27, 1956, he married Janet E. Butturff, who survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, Linda K. Shawver of Lafayette and Nanette M. (David) Swallow of Lima; a brother, Donald E. Mayotte of Munising, Mich; a sister, Mary Gale Haapala of Munising, Mich.; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Mayotte retired in 1993 as a letter carrier and maintenance man from the Lima Post Office and was operator of the Lafayette Waste Water Treatment Plant. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister, was a member of its Holy Name Society, the Redemptorist association, on the RCIA Team for many years, was an usher and worked the bingo kitchen and festivals. He was a union steward for NALC Branch 105. He was a Navy veteran serving in the Construction Battalion (Seabee) in MON 4.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, May 29 at St. Gerard Catholic Church. The Rev. Denis Sweeney officiated. Burial was in Shawnee Cemetery, with military rites by V.F.W. Post 1275.

Richard "Dick" Morris Rolston, 64, Lima, died May 26, 1999, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 3, 1934, in Lima to Evard and Mable Thomas Rolston. On Dec. 6, 1974, he married Carole Thornton, who survives.
Survivors also include four sons, Richard A. (Lynn) Rolston of Wilsboro, N.Y., Dwight Rolston of Burlington, Vt., Arthur (Kelly) Bicknell III of Ada and Calvin (Mary Jane) Bicknell of Raleigh, N.C.; three daughters, Lora Bicknell of Lima, Christian Bicknell of Columbus and Carla (Gene) Conry of California City, Calif.; two brothers, John Rolston of Reseda, Calif., and Dale Rolston of Moline, Ill.; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Allen Bicknell; two brothers, Ted and Fred Rolston; four sisters, Georgia White, Mary Secrist, two infant sisters and a grandson.
Mr. Rolston retired in 1974 from the Air Force after 20 years. He then worked as a truck driver and in real estate management at Shawnee Trailer Court. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 1275 and the Disabled American Veterans.
Services were held Saturday, May 29, at Siferd Westwood Chapel, where VFW Post 1275 conducted military rites. VFW Chaplain Dick Coon officiated.

Tom Barnett, 74, La Guna Hills, Calif., died May 22, 1999.
Surviving are his wife, Karen; a son, Troy; four daughters, Traci of California, and Doris, Teresa and Coleen, all of Kenton; one sister, Marie Friermuth of Kenton; and two brothers, Bob of Florida and Willie of Dunkirk.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Susie and Boyd Barnett; two sisters, Eva Reed and Reva Lucas; and three brothers, Burly, Ralph and Rudy.

Matilda M. "Tillie" Brown, 84, Harrod, formerly of Alger and Bellefontaine, died June 4, 1999 at Lima Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lima.
She was born Dec. 29, 1914, in Columbus to John and Essie (Long) McAlexander. On Sept. 25, 1935, she married Donald E. Brown, and he survives in Harrod.
Survivors also include two sons, the Rev. Dr. Thomas E. (Shirley) Brown of Centerville and James R. (Louise) Brown of Lima; one daughter, Bonnie (Dan) Booher of Harrod; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson and one stepgrandson.
Mrs. Brown was a retired cashier from Clyde Evans Grocery Shoppe. She was a former member of the Bellefontaine Church of Christ; a member of the Lafayette First United Methodist Church and was active in the First Baptist Church of Ada. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #459 of Bellefontaine.
Services were held June 8 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger, with the Rev. Jack Duffy and the Rev. Bruce McDaniel. Burial was in Huntsville Cemetery.

Lottie Cornwell Carter, 85, Lima, formerly of Alger, died June 3, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 15, 1914 in Floyd County, Ky. to Jack and Melinda "Sis" (Pitts) Ousley. She married Kinner Cornwell, who preceded her in death. She later married Robert Carter, who is also deceased.
Survivors include one son, Robert Cornwell of Lima; four daughters, Melinda (Charles) Edwards of Lima, Bernice (Cecil) Hale of Warsaw, Shirley (Tom) Brown of Centerville, and Betty (Bill) Grumney of Columbus; one sister, Mary Sheldon of Kenton; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Ousley and William Prater; and two sisters, Elona Prater and Julie Frazier.
Mrs. Carter was a homemaker, and a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle of Lima.
Services were held June 7 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Burial was in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Larry G. Miller, 54, Harrod, died June 1, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 22, 1944, in Lima to John L. and Pearl Roberts Miller. On Sept. 15, 1970, he married Linda Sue Rodney, who survives.
Survivors also include a son; four daughters including Tiffany Miller of Harrod, and Kelli Miller and Ashley Miller, both at home; seven brothers; seven sisters; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Mr. Miller was a self-employed carpenter.

Norman David Hilty, 77, Lima, died June 1, 1999 at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.
He was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Lima to Wilford and Florence May Beeshy Hilty. On Jan. 18, 1942, he married Betty I. Febus, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, including David L. (Caryl) Hilty of Ada; four daughters; a brother; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Magdeline Lown and Betty J. Hilty.
Mr. Hilty retired in 1981 from the lubrication plant of the Standard Oil Refinery after 33 years. He was a member of Market Street Presbyterian Church, where he was a deacon and an elder. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6741 of Elida, the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union, served on the Girl Scout board of directors and the Mizpah Community Center. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
Services were held June 4 at Market Street Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Richard Sheffield officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.

Aaron Hicks, Ada, 71, died June 11, 1999 at Winebrenner Village Care Center in Findlay.
He was born April 13, 1928, in McGoffin County, Ky., to Perry and Virgie (Arnett) Hicks. On June 27, 1948, he married Cecelia L. Pursley, and she survives.
Survivors also include three sons, Terry Len Hicks of Smyrna, Tenn., Aaron Donavon (Christine) Hicks of Glen St. Mary, Fla. and Douglas Duane Hicks of Findlay; two brothers, Marvin (Marlene) Hicks of Findlay and Paul (Janet) Hicks of Hudson, Fla.; four sisters, Maxine (Les) Beard of Alvada, Ivadean (Edwin) Wolber of Findlay, Nannie Ruth (Frank) Ousley of Plymouth and Carol Sue (Harold) Brown of Pandora; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Carl Hicks in 1982; a sister, Ernestine Patton; and a brother, Perry Hicks Jr.
Mr. Hicks retired from Clark Equipment Company in 1982 after 30 years of service.
He was a champion fiddle player, played bluegrass music and played with several bands. He was a farmer and raised "Show Birds."
He attended the Mount Zion Old Regular Baptist Church on S.R. 309 in McGuffey.
Services were held June 14 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, with Elder Michael Stone officiating.

Harold T. Nartker, 74 Kalida, died June 9, 1999 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Fort Jennings to Joseph and Lena Kahle Nartker. On May 29, 1948, he married Betty I. Schulte, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Den (Linda) Nartker and Jeff Nartker, both of Kalida; two daughters, Susan (Dick) Martz of Ottoville and Barb (Randy) Conrad of Lima; a brother, Richard Nartker of Findlay; five sisters, Marie Brickner and Jean Whitaker of Delphos, Julie Fulks of Ada, Evelyn Looser of Ottoville and Arlene Beining of Findlay; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Nartker retired as a carpenter from Louisiana-Pacific, Ottawa, and was a farmer.
He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida, and its Holy Name Society.
He was a member of American Legion Post 63, Ottawa. Mr. Nartker was an Army veteran of World War II.

Pauline Russell Brown, 90, widow of Donald O. Brown, former resident of Ada, died June 1, 1999, in Venice, Fla.
She was born Sept. 9, 1908, in De Graff, Ohio.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Colleen) Brown, Sanford, Fla. and James (Joy) Brown of Venice, Fla.; sisters-in-law, June Brown of Summerfield, Fla. and Ruth Brown of Ada; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Venice, Fla. and a life member and past president of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Ann Arbor, Mich.
Burial will be in De Graff Cemetery at a later date.
Walter H. Boedicker, 77, Harrod, died June 20, 1999 at Richland Manor Nursing Home.
He was born June 27, 1921, in Spencerville to Carl E. and Olive Chloe Thomas Boedicker. On June 16, 1944, he married May Ethel Bowerman and she preceded him in death on May 14, 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Michael A. (Barbara) Boedicker and Jim (Sally) Boedicker, both of Ada; two daughters, Carol (Richard) Furry of Lafayette, and Laura (Andy) Mick of Pittsfield, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Marie Boedicker; and a sister, Betty Jane Boedicker.
Mr. Boedicker was retired from Ford Motor Company as a hydraulic repairman. He was a member of the County Line Church of the Brethren. He co-founded the first midget football team in Harrod, participating as one of the first coaches. Memberships also included past member of the Harrod Volunteer Firefighters, member of U.A.W. #1219, past member of Northwest Ohio Cerebral Palsy Board of Directors and past member of Goodwill Industries. Other memberships included FOE #370 of Lima; member and past master of Sager Lodge #513; Lima Chapter #9, R & AM; Lima Council #20, R.S.M; Shawnee Commandry #14; 32 degree Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo; member and past Monarch El Karan Grotto; member and past president of The Masters High Twelve Club 590; past state president of Ohio Association High Twelve Clubs; and Grand Representative of North Dakota in the Grand Lodge of Ohio F & AM.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 24 at Chiles and Sons-Laman Lewis Chapel, with the Revs. David Thompson and Walter Powers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lewis Chapel.

Louise Ann Meister, 59, Columbia, Md., died of cancer on June 14, 1999 at her home.
She was born in Akron to Dorothy (Heaps) and Melvin Meister, formerly of Ada. Her mother survives in Columbia, Md. Her grandparents, Ernest Clifton and Annie Ethel Heaps also lived for many years in Ada.
Survivors also include a foster brother, Yungil (Sonja) Kim of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; an adopted daughter, Blanche Meister of Columbia, Md.; four cousins, Kathy Raymond, Steve Heaps, Felicia Lee, and Al Schroetel, a niece and two nephews.
Ms. Meister was a social worker, long-time activist in social causes, and a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church in Columbia, Md. She received a masters degree in social work from Washington University, St. Louis, Mo.; and a master of arts in theology from St. Mary's Seminary and University, Baltimore, Md.
She joined the Peace Corps after obtaining her masters in social work, and in 1964-1965, helped to develop the first foster care program for children in Honduras. She also worked for the Methodist Board of Child Care, the Family and Children's Society, the Baltimore City Department of Social Services, the Sinai Hospital Drug Dependency Program, the Family Life Center, Columbia, Md.; the National Institute on Drug Abuse in Rockville, Md.; the US Public Health Service Hospital in Baltimore, Md.; the Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work; the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md.; and Vesta Inc., Forestville, Md. Until her death, she was director of Social Services at N Street Village in Washington, D.C.
She was co-founder of the Center for Professional Growth in Baltimore, Md. She taught courses at St. Marys Seminary and University, the University of Maryland School of Social Work, and Catonsville Community College. She played a large role in the mentoring of new social workers, and published numerous professional papers on social work, its relationship to faith and on helping patients with chronic illness.
A memorial service was held June 19 by St. John Lutheran Church-Columbia.
A memorial service celebrating her life and ministry will be held on Monday, June 28 at 11 a.m. by N Street Village in Washington, D.C., at Luther Place Church, 1226 Vermont Ave. NW, at Thomas Circle, Washington, D.C.

Violet LaVonda Seaton, 72, Ypsilanti Township, Mich., died June 15, 1999 at her home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1926 in Bluffton, to Park M. and Sarah I. (Hartman) Slusser. She lived in Ada, and attended Owlsburg School and Ada High School until moving to Ypsilanti in 1942, where she graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1944.
On June 10, 1946, she married A. William Seaton in Ypsilanti and he survives.
Survivors also include one son, David W. (Valerie) Seaton of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; one daughter, Darla J. (Kent) Hairston of Williamsburg, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Matthew and Jared Seaton, and Ryan and Keely Hairston.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Velma L. Bennett; and one brother, Ray E. Slusser.
Mrs. Seaton worked as a bookkeeper for North American Van Lines from 1944-46, worked in accounting at Motor State Products from 1946-50 and was a homemaker until time of her death.
She was an avid camper, loved traveling, flower gardening and was a gifted seamstress. She was baptized in 1938 at the Bethel Church of Christ in Ada. Upon moving to Ypsilanti, she was accepted into the membership of the Ypsilanti Church of Christ. She started teaching Vacation Bible School in 1940 and loved her class of 4-5 year olds, who she taught on Sunday mornings from the early 1960's until she had to give it up in 1998 due to her battle with ALS. She volunteered to be the church bookkeeper from the late 1940's until the present time.
Services were held June 19 at Ypsilanti Church of Christ with Gary Vaught officiating. Burial was held in Washtenong Memorial Park.

Gladys L. Hall, 87, Harrod, died June 20, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 5, 1912 in Continental to Jacob and Bessie Kirkendall Myers. On June 9, 1934, she married Harold F. Hall and he preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Arliss) Plaugher of Harrod and Carol (Paul) Crumrine of Winterpark, Fla.; two sisters, Datha Smith of Lima and Audrey Beach of Ottawa; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Myers of Continental.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Doyle, Lowell and Don Myers.
Mrs. Hall worked in the dietary department of St. Rita's Medical Center for 10 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Harrod Christian Church. She was a former member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Lima Senior Citizens. She resided in the winter at Palmetto, Fla., for 12 years.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 24 at Harrod Christian Church with the Rev. Ted Moore officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Chiles and Sons-Laman Lewis Chapel, and one hour prior to services at the church.

Evan Michael Peoples, one-day-old, Roundhead, died June 16, 1999 at 1 p.m. at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.
He was born June 15, 1999, in Columbus, to John A. Peoples of Roundhead, and Angela Morris of Marysville. Both survive.
Survivors also include paternal grandmother, Joyce Peoples of Roundhead; maternal grandfather, Steven Morris of Lima; maternal grandmother, Donna Morris of Marysville.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Allen Peoples.

James H. Hull, 71, Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., died of lung cancer on May 31, 1999 at St. John Hospital, Detroit, Mich.
He was born July 27, 1927, in Hop Bottom, Pa., and was raised in Ohio. He was married to Jean Main in 1951, and she survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Gregory J. (Christine) Hull and David (Nancy) Hull; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Hull went to high school in Lakeview, Ohio, and received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University, Ada. Mr. Hull was the executive director of the Concrete Pipe Association of Michigan. He had previously worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation, and was a product engineer for Price Brothers Company in Michigan. He held memberships with the Michigan Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Public Works Association, and Transportation Quality Initiative Committee, Lansing, Mich. His interests included golf, fishing, skiing and tennis.
A memorial service was held June 9 at Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church. He was cremated.

Thomas L. Schmidt, 69, Lafayette, died July 3, 1999 at St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 4, 1929, in Moulton, to Landes L. and Helen Potterf Schmidt. On Sept. 24, 1950, he married Jean E. McElwain, and she survives.
Survivors also include one son, David T. Schmidt of Lafayette; three daughters, Carol Ann Kiefer of Lakeview, Susan J. Schmidt of Delaware and Lynn L. (Greg) Winkler of Ada; one grandchild; and three stepgrandchildren. Many people regarded him as father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Vicki (Uhl) Schmidt; and a son-in-law, Joe Kiefer.
Mr. Schmidt was an electrician and the owner/operator of Thomas Electric. He had previously worked for Buckeye Pipeline, Neon Sign and Sohio Chemical Company. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lafayette, a 31-year member of BPO Elks Lodge #54; past member of the Eagles, Exchange Club, REACT, Rabbit Club, Board member for the Harrod Pork Rind Festival, and past member of the American Legion Band and Lima's Marching Band. He was a Little League coach for many years in Lafayette, sponsored and coached many local softball teams and helped coach Allen East High School baseball. He was a Boy Scout leader and staunch supporter of Ohio State Football. Mr. Schmidt was a 1947 graduate of Lima Central. He was also a graduate of Northwestern Business School.
Services were held this morning, July 7 at Chiles and Sons-Laman Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Childs officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Paul J. Laudick, 54, Ada, died July 11, 1999 at his residence.
He was born March 5, 1945, in Toledo, to Walter and Lucy Mary (Barlage) Laudick. He was formerly married to Mildred L. (Steele) Laudick who survives in Ada.
Survivors also include two daughters, Melissa (Kenneth) Mills of Ada and Tracy (Gregory) Benroth of Mt. Cory; two sisters, Helen (Martin) Bendele of Ottowa, and Therese (Michael) Leo of Dayton; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Laudick was a Machine Operator at Randall Bearings Inc. of Lima, Ohio. He formerly worked at AirFoil Texton in Lima for seventeen years. He was a member of the McGuffey Conservation Club of McGuffey, Ohio.
Sevices will be held Wednesday, July 14 at the Preston Cemetary in Alger at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bryan D. Day officiating. There will be no visitation.

Martha Jane Zickafoose, 80, Lima, died July 10, 1999 at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 21, 1919 in Ada, Ohio to William and Loma Caroline Moneer (Lawrence) Zickafoose.
Her brother, Ralph J. Zickafoose, survives in Put-In-Bay. Survivors also include several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence W. and Darrell W. Zickafoose; and by her step-father, Paul A. "Sparky" Lawrence.
Ms. Zickafoose was a sales clerk at Kings Dept. Store and Wells Dept. Store and also worked at Deprato's Ice Cream Store. She was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church.
Services were held July 13, at Lewis Chapel in the Chiles& Sons-Laman Funeral Home, with Rev. Howard Allison officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association and/or Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District.
John F. Hull, 88, Seaman, Ohio, formerly of Ada, died July 9, 1999 at Seaman due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Feb. 12, 1911 in Ada, to Lorain T. and Edna (Price) Hull.
Survivors include one sister, Martha Mae Spoor of Mesa, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine and Helen Frances Hull; and three brothers, Emerson, Warren and James Howard Hull.
Mr. Hull was a carpenter in the building industry.
Public graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel in Ada at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, with the Rev. Calvin Waugh officiating.
There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.
Harry W. Obenour, 85, Bellefontaine, formerly of Ada, died July 14, 1999 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine.
He was born Aug. 31, 1913 in Hardin County, to Archie and Cora Daniels Obenour. On Nov. 4, 1936, he married Grace Eileen Stevenson in Hardin County, and she preceded him in death on April 6, 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Norman (Linda) Obenour of Westerville and Daniel (Kathy) Obenour of Bellefontaine; two brothers, Paul Obenour of Wapakoneta and Archie Obenour of Lima; two sisters, Genevieve Hornish of Defiance and Mildred Yawberg of Whitehouse; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Dwight and Duane Obenour; a brother, David Obenour; and four sisters, Esther Shrider, Eva and Beatrice Obenour, and Doris Shepard.
Mr. Obenour was a machinist for Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine and past member and elder at the Ada Church of Christ Disciples for 50 years. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School.
Services were held July 17 at the First Christian Church, Bellefontaine, with Gene Marine officiating. Burial was in Preston Cemetery, Alger.

Gordon F. Good, 67, Dola, died July 16, 1999 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Kenton.
He was born July 16, 1932, in Hardin County to Edwin and Marguerite Dirmeyer Good.
Survivors include three brothers, Virgil (Violet) Good and Neil (Patty) Good, both of Dola, and Eugene (Betty) Good of Dunkirk; and a sister, Patricia (Jim) Battles of Kenton.
Mr. Good was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Dola.
Services were held July 18 at Price Funeral Home, Dunkirk, with the Rev. "Hap" Hasenauer officiating. Burial was in Dola Cemetery.
